JEM-EUSO (Extreme Universe Space Observatory on ISS/JEM) is the science mission to detect extreme energy particles with the energy above 10(exp 20) eV. It is a super wide-field telescope (60 degree) that observes UV photons from air-showers produced by primary particles in dark side of the Earth. JEM-EUSO is planned to be attached to Japan Experiment Module (JEM) of International Space Station. It is promoted international collaboration of scientists among, Japan, USA, and Europe. The phase-A study (conceptual design) under ESA has been successfully finished in July 2004. However, Italian space agency and ESA are in difficulties to move to the phase-B study. Therefore, Japan and US team decided to challenge to the second phase of JEM/EF (Exposed Facility). It will be submitted to call for proposal of the second phase utilization mission candidate of JEM/EF, has released in November 2006. The proposal will include recent technical progresses, such as, a new optical system with the better optical performance, track trigger algorithm, and new detectors with higher quantum efficiencies., 資料番号: AA0063349047
