The article presents the results of studies on the effects wrought on the corrosion resistance of the alloy matrix phase inter-metallic FeAl. Researches were carried out on the Fe40Al5Cr0.2TiB alloy and involved the oxidation of the samples after the crystallization after plastic deformation made by extrusion. The tests were performed in an oven in air at 1100°C for 100, 300 and 500 h. Determined to change the mass of the samples after corrosion research setting kinetics of corrosion processes, as well as an analysis of the microstructure of the alloy after the crystallization and after forming. The structure was examined using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis with EDS chemical composition of the corrosion products. The test results revealed that plastic deformation during extrusion of intermetallic alloy led to structural changes, the effect of which was to improve the heat resistance at a temperature of 1100°C.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań mających na celu porównanie odporności korozyjnej stopów na osnowie fazy międzymetalicznej Fe40A15CrTiB po krystalizacji i po przeróbce plastycznej ze stalą odporną na korozję gatunku X 12CrCoNi2120. Badania wykonano dla stali w temperaturze 700°C oraz dla stopu Fe40A15CrTiB w temperaturze 1100°C w środowisku: 9% O2+0,2 HC1 + 0,08% SO2+ N2. Określono zmiany masy po badaniach korozyjnych, wykonano obserwacje stanu powierzchni, określono skład chemiczny i fazowy produktów korozji. Uzyskane rezultat)' badań wykazały bardzo dobrą odporność stopów Fe40A15CrTiB na korozję wysokotemperaturową w środowisku zawierającym tlen, siarkę i chlor w porównaniu do odporności korozyjnej stali gatunku X12CrCoNi2120. Wyniki badań prowadzonych w tym zakresie stanowią podstawę do dalszych prac badawczych.

Operating conditions turbocharger (high temperature and corrosive environment) mean that the device is classified into one of the most elements of the emergency drive unit of the car. The failure rate can be reduced through the use of modern heat-resistant materials, which include based alloys FeAl intermetallic phase. Intermetallic alloys belong to the group of materials known as prospective due to their advantageous properties, in particular their high specific strength, high melting point and good resistance to corrosion and oxidation at high temperatures. A verification service conditions, comparing the degradation of the material previously used by manufacturers of turbochargers for elements of the control system degradation axes made of intermetallic alloy Fe40Al5Cr0,2TiB.
