Abstract

The article presents a study on the correlation between different controlling factors and soil water storage over time. The study involves neutron probe and time domain reflectometry to measure soil water storage along a 576-meter long transect in Saint Denis National Wildlife Area, Saskatchewan. The result shows a substantial contribution from topographic variables such as gradient, wetness index and solar radiation, and from soil properties including sand, bulk density and organic carbon.
