Introduction to the issue and the importance of the topic: The subject of this diploma thesis is to focus on issues related to teaching methods for the practice of hand hygiene in health care professionals in medical facilities. The issue of increasing efficiency in education is today an increasingly relevant topic supporting the activity of every person. In medical facilities, we encounter a problem with employee motivation, mutual interaction and communication when practicing new nursing procedures (hand hygiene), (Cullen, 2017). Unfortunately, most lecturers still teach only traditional teaching methods and use activating methods minimally or not at all (Sitná et al., 2009). Such a stereotype in the teaching process often provides only mechanical reproduction of the learned content. There is no consideration of understanding and practical interconnection, which is often boring and cumbersome for employees (Duran et al., 2017). The lecturer should pass on theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the given employees and thus develop their attitudes necessary for the performance of their profession (Vengl, 2011). Although much attention is paid to education in the literature, the methods used are often briefly characterized and listed by the authors. The primary focus of this work is on...

V tomto článku rozvíjíme teorii transformace obsahu a představujeme koncept operačního isomorfismu a jeho potenciálu v oblasti didaktiky, výzkumu výuky a vzdělávání a vzdělávání učitelů. There is no education without content. Teaching and learning in schools is devoted to “something,” not to “nothing” or “anything.” The more heterogeneous, multicultural, and multilingual the classroom, the more semantization of educational content within teaching and learning is needed. Therefore, the role of various languages in the classroom is revisited. In this article, we elaborate on the theory of language-sensitive content transformation and introduce the concept of operational isomorphism and its potential in the field of didactics, research on teaching, and learning and teacher education. Using a case study of mathematics teaching, we illustrate, how students can benefit from semantization and instrumentalization practices in the classroom and how these processes take the form of extensional deconstruction and intensional expansion or intensional condensation.

The aim of the study was to determine the efficiency of using classroom and home flipped environment in Estonian basic school EFL classes. Flipped Classroom methodology has been in the centre of discussion in recent years for it provides a combination of learning theories that have been thought to be incompatible. There may be tasks in language learning and teaching that need passive absorption of predefined knowledge; on the other hand, learners are changing and new technology is a natural part of the surrounding environment from as early as pre-school and kindergarten which has changed the concepts of education. Learning and teaching process is more effective, when learners are participating actively using their creativity in knowledge and skills construction and when learning goals are determined by the learners. When planning learning process it is vital that the chosen strategy would cause learning and in the centre of it were an active learner. The thesis consists of two chapters. In the first chapter background information on Computer Assisted Learning, Blended Learning and Flipped Classroom Methodology is provided and the benefits and difficulties in implementing the Flipped Classroom Methodology in EFL classes are discussed. Guidelines for implementing the Flipped Classroom methodology are provided and some case studies are discussed. In the second chapter a case study conducted on implementing the Flipped Classroom Methodology in EFL classroom is discussed and the methodology of the study is provided. The activities created for the case study, the process of implementing them and other activities in lessons are discussed, qualitative data analysis is used, the reflections on the process and experience is provided. The results of the survey are reviewed and followed by a discussion and conclusion., http://www.ester.ee/record=b4582709*est

This paper is about evaluation of university courses which represents systematic monitoring and gathering of data pertaining to cognitive, experiential, and psychomotor, as well as biological, social and factors of self-actualisation, with the purpose of producing feedback on the effectiveness of the process of teaching. When evaluating university courses, it is possible to use different evaluation procedures which can contribute to the overall quality of teaching. The author aims to determine whether students perceive the evaluation of university instruction in a positive way. Also, how much previous experience with evaluation (primary and secondary level) influences their attitude on the importance of evaluation as a part of university courses. Furthermore, the research also dealt with the degree of honesty in students' answers. Additionally, the intention was to find out whether evaluation should be thought out creatively. The results of the research show that the students who participated in this study had very little experience with evaluation of teaching in their previous primary and secondary education, but that they want it to be implemented in university courses., Rad se bavi evaluacijom sveučilišne nastave koja predstavlja sustavno praćenje i prikupljanje informacija o spoznajnom, doživljajnom i psihomotornom aspektu jednako kao i biološkom, socijalnom i samo-aktualizacijskom u svrhu iznošenja povratne informacije o uspješnosti nastavnoga procesa.

It also argues that model course ought to be supported with software resources that the thesis sums up as an educational accounting information system. In the second part the thesis connects the question of sotware support with the question of project management and answers several questions of the so called Introductory Study. One of the outcomes is that the project should be elaborated in some future theses by other students - therefore it should serve as a student project.

This work refers to the topic of bilingual mathematics education. It is focused on monitoring the communicational influences of teacher's and pupil's language, categorization of the disturbing effects and possibilities, how the teacher should prepare for them and how to solve them. A significant role plays the reflection of the teacher, as the results were done on the basis of action research during teaching in England, Germany and the Czech Republic. The teaching was realized in a second language as well for the teacher as for the pupils. The teacher was at the same time experimenter as well as author of this work. The theoretical part results from dealing with scientific literature about bilingualism, bilingual education, methodology of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), relations between first language, language of mathematics and the foreign language. In the practical part an analysis of lessons performed in mathematics with the subject of probability is carried out. The teaching was focused on playing a game with dice and deciding whether the game is fair or not. The lessons were audio taped and transcriptions of the spoken language were made. An analysis of the language, teacher's mistakes, communicational interference, proportional relations on communication of the pupils and...

This thesis consists of description of chosen methods of permanent macroscopic zoological preparations. I verified successfully all the methods in practice and in case of methodological difficulties I optimized them for use in the school environment. In this work I answered the questions that could come up throughout the preparation process, for example: how to preserve the animal correctly; where to acquire the animal legally; what is the best way to maintain the animal's natural colour; what materials to use for the preparation and so on. According to current approaches I created not only a text based version of the manual of all verified preparation methods, but also an online version in form of a web site. To clarify the methods I included video sequences, photographs and schemes. With this e- learning course a teacher will be able to extend the school collection with his own preparations and also will be able to recognize what significant characteristics to point out. As a part of my work I have done a questionnaire focused on using various types of equipment in biology lectures. I have asked primary school teachers and high school teachers from all regions in the Czech Republic. This questionnaire was sent online and 322 out of 1636 people responded. The answers tell us that teachers...

Main aim of this master thesis is to map the situation of parasitism teaching in elementary and grammar schools. Thats why it contains analysis of reachable elementary and grammar school textbooks - it informs about various kinds of rating the textbooks, which can help both - current and future teachers of biology - to better know and identify reachable textbooks and choose the right ones for the parasitism teaching. It also contains test results of students parasitism knowledge, which are generally very good. Anyway they should learn much more about parazite's manipulation of their host behavior. Other part of my master thesis shows the results of grammar school teachers-filled questionnaires. All questionnaire results (teachers' and students') show that there can be an improvement in parasitism teaching. In next section you can find the Framework Education Programme analysis, own educational programme draft - workbooks, didactic games and powerpoint presentations. Thanks to the realization of teaching the parazites manipulation of their host behavior I found out that students' interest in the topic is quite big so it would be a shame not to share this newly explored area of parasitism with them. Operational research is a complex of different disciplines which, due to the appliance of mathematical methods, seek for optimal solutions of complicated problems. The basics of particular disciplines or the whole subject are commonly being taught at universities in the Czech republic. The operational research curriculum was omitted from secondary education twenty years ago. This thesis deals with topics such as why and how the subject of operational research could once again be presented to secondary school students. This thesis discusses theoretical background as well as purely practical questions. That is why this thesis includes the parts of didactics and methodology of the subject. The result offers a complex perspective of a possible reimplementation of the operational research subject to secondary schools and to their students' awareness.

Preparing hypermedia didactic programs on the basis of the most modern solutions in the scope of information technology allows to create certain portions of information in form of multimedia messages depending upon the character and aim of the message. Moreover, the use of hypertext allows to combine particular modules in (major or minor) program blocks in such a way that it is not noticeable by a student to show their individual way of learning, what is significant for didactic metaprogramming. Despite the fact that it is, to some extent, algorithmisation of the didactic process, there is no dehumanising automation of the didactic system by replacing a teacher with a machine or program but it is about facilitating its aspects in which such form of education is needed and which is compliant with the current way of learning in the student environment. Today, there is a necessity of didactic metaprogramming giving the possibility not only for multimedia presentation of the education content but also the interactive work of the student - allowing to be beyond the delivered information – use the considerable achievements of didactic programming in connection with dynamically developing information and communication technologies needed for teaching and learning at school and for the whole life., Priprema hipermedijskih didaktičkih programa na osnovi najmodernijih rješenja u okviru informacijskih tehnologija, omogućava kreiranje određenih dijelova informacije u obliku multimedijske poruke ovisno o karakteru i cilj poruke.

Educology attempts to define various problems as precisely as possible, even though it is not always easy to suggest specific solutions. When considering teaching and learning at secondary and higher schools, mutual dissatisfaction is often expressed. Universities that pro-duce teachers should relate the academic discipline teaching methods with secondary school didactics requirements: we should produce teachers who are able not only to deliver knowledge about an academic discipline but also able to develop certain abilities and values of pupils, and to modernize and properly deliver the contents. In order to be able to aim at the said things, future teachers have to develop their skills, opinions, their ability to analyze, change and interpret teaching aids. The objective of the article is to analyze the meaning aspects of university and school didactics, and to define possible teaching and learning interrelations at universities and schools. The subject of the work covers education documents such as programs, education standards, and publications about educological and academic discipline teaching. Methods of the work include analysis, comparison and consolidation of educological and methodological publications. The article deals with the following meaning aspects of university and school didactics: 1) How are teaching and learning understood at higher and secondary schools? The set teaching and learning objectives have to be of several levels: general teaching and... [to full text]
