Yapılan çalışmada fen bilimleri dersi 6. sınıf “Sesin Sürati” konusuna yönelik bir eğitsel oyun geliştirmek ve fen bilimleri öğretmenlerin “En Süratli Ses” isimli geliştirilen bu oyun hakkında görüşleri nelerdir? problemine cevap aramak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel yaklaşımlarından olgu bilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacına uygun bir şekilde, öğretmenlerin öncelikle tasarlanan oyunu incelemeleri ve bunun uygulanmasına yönelik görüşlerini samimi duygularla sunmaları için çalışma grubunu kolay ulaşılabilir ve gönüllülük esasına göre belirlenen sekizi kadın toplam dokuz fen bilimleri öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Veriler öğretmenlerle gerçekleştirilen yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşmelerle toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesi NVivo programı yardımıyla kod ve temalar çıkartılarak içerik analizi yapılarak sağlanmıştır. Verilerden, öğretmenlerin “En Süratli Ses” oyununun konuyu somutlaştırdığını, öğretimi kolaylaştırdığını ve varsa kavram yanılgılarını giderilebileceğine yönelik görüşleri tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin tamamı eğitsel oyunların bilişsel, duyuşsal ve psikomotor becerileri kazandırabileceğini ifade etmişlerdir. Verilere dayalı olarak eğitsel oyunun anlaşılır, konudaki kazanımları karşılayan ve öğrencilerin eğlenerek öğrenebileceği bir oyun olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu bağlamda geliştirilen “En Süratli Ses” oyununun sesin sürati konusunun öğretiminde kullanılması önerilmiştir., The purpose of this study was to develop an educational game for the “Speed of Sound” topic in 6th grade science lesson and to reveal science teachers’ opinions about the game called “The Fastest Sound”. In this study, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative approaches, was used. In accordance with the purpose of the study, the study group was composed of nine science teachers, eight of whom were female, who were easily accessible and determined on a voluntary basis in order for the teachers to first examine the designed game and present their opinions about its implementation with sincere feelings. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers. The analysis of the data was provided by content analysis by extracting codes and themes using NVivo. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the "The Fastest Sound" game concretized the subject, facilitated the teaching, and if any, misconceptions could be eliminated based on teachers’ opinions. All the teachers stated that educational games can provide cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills. Based on the data, it was concluded that the educational game is understandable, meets the objectives in the subject and that students can learn by having fun. In this context, it has been suggested to use the "The Fastest Sound" game in teaching the speed of sound topic.
