This article focuses on the issue of scaled tracking consensus for discrete-time second-order multiagent systems under random packet dropouts, where the cases with a static leader and a dynamic leader are considered, respectively. The scaled tracking consensus means that all agents reach a consensus value determined by the leader but with different scales, and the phenomenon of packet dropout on each communication link is described as a Bernoulli variable independent of other communication links. By virtue of random environment-based scaled consensus algorithms, it is shown how to reconstruct the original system into augmented error systems with random coefficient matrices. With the kind assistance of substochastic matrix and super-stochastic matrix, sufficient conditions for the cases with a static leader and a dynamic leader are derived, respectively. The mutual inductance between the transmitted and received coils is an important parameter in the inductively coupled wireless power transmission system. The relative position between the linked coils may be arbitrary according to the applications. In this paper the analytical calculation of the mutual inductance between two arbitrarily positioned rectangular filaments is proposed based on a more general expression of mutual inductance calculation of two arbitrarily positioned straight filaments than Grover's. The calculation results are validated by using the finite element simulation tools. The previous published approximation methods for square coils in the coaxial, lateral misalignment or angular misalignment situations are verified that they are accurate when the two coils' relative distances are large. Abstract The Tobit Kalman filter (TKF) is a powerful tool in solving the state estimation problem for linear systems with censored measurements. This paper is concerned with the Tobit Kalman filtering problem for discrete time-varying systems subject to non-Gaussian Lévy and time-correlated additive measurement noises. By referencing to the measurement differencing method, the time-correlation of the measurement noises is transformed into the cross-correlation between the equivalent measurement noise and the process noise. Then, by resorting to the Lévy-Ito theorem, the non-Gaussian Lévy measurement noises are transformed into equivalent Gaussian noises with unknown covariances. Based on the transformed Gaussian measurement noises, a modified recursive TKF is designed where the unknown noise covariances are carefully calculated. This paper investigates the flocking control issue of multi-agent systems, where each agent utilizes the broadcasting communication manner and takes the Cucker–Smale style dynamic model. In the setting of broadcasting scenario, each agent broadcasts the state information only at certain moments determined by its own clock, and recalculates the control input only when its clock ticks or it receives information from the neighbors. In the Cucker–Smale model, a nonlinear weight function about the communication distance is set to portray the mutual influence degree between agents. With the help of the properties of sub-stochastic matrix, a comprehensive analysis of the asymptotic convergence of the model is performed and the algebraic conditions for achieving flocking control are established. In addition, the obtained theoretical results are further extended to the bipartite flocking control issue for multi-agent systems with both cooperative and competitive interactions. In this paper, a fractional-order sliding mode controller (FO SMC) based on an FO exponential switching technique and an FO proportional–integral (PI) switching surface is proposed for robust stabilization of uncertain FO nonlinear systems. The FO exponential switching technique, involving an FO sign function, is designed to guarantee the existence of the sliding motion in finite time. Reaching time is analytically derived and the reachability analysis is presented to explicate the superiority of the control performance. The stability analysis of sliding mode dynamics is performed relying on stable region analysis of FO systems. This paper investigates robust stability for fractional-order (FO) singular nonlinear systems. The FO system is disturbed by external uncertainty and disturbance. A central analysis technique is enabled by proposing a fundamental boundedness lemma, for the first time. This lemma is used for robust stability analysis of FO systems, especially for Mittag–Leffler stability analysis of FO nonlinear systems. More importantly, how to obtain a more accurate bound is given to reduce conservative. An FO proportional-derivative (PD) controller is proposed to normalize the FO singular system. Furthermore, a criterion for stability of the normalized FO nonlinear systems is provided by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs).
