A model of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) signal and Single Look Complex (SLC) image obtained by satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system are considered. Geometry and kinematics of SAR scenario, including a SAR satellite and a complicated surface are described. SAR signal model based on linear frequency modulated emitted waveform is derived. Standard Fourier transformation is applied to extract an SLC SAR image of high quality. To verify the SAR signal model and image extraction procedure a numerical experiment is carried out.
