It is concerned that the aviation communication system is interfered by the inner and outside interference. Because of the electromagnetic spectrum is limited, it must be controlled and managed in order to use in aviation communication. The cognitive radio (CR) can perceive the electromagnetic environment automatically, search the spectrum holes, and adjust the signal parameters of both sides by communication protocols and algorithms to best situation. This paper discusses the CR and the application in the spectrum management of aviation communications.

The steady performance of diesel engine is always focused on during the development. But to some extent, the trade-off between steady and transient behavior has to be considered. In order to evaluate the transient performance during engine development phase, both simulation and dyno testing methods are needed, especially for the effect of turbocharger. Focusing on the transient behavior CA6DL2-35 turbocharged HD diesel engine, the authors developed the transient simulation method based on traditional thermodynamic software, in which the effects of turbocharger, the strategy of fuel injection and inertia of engine were included. Dyno measurements of torque increase at constant speed and speed increase at WOT were compared and commented. Simulation was validated by dyno testing. The transient performance of turbocharged engines depends significantly on the response of intake path. The transient simulation and testing was used to support the selection of turbocharger. In this chapter, different turbochargers were investigated by simulation and testing for transient performance. Comparison showed that the simulation of transient is able to predict the behavior of turbocharged diesel engine and can be used to support performance development.

The technique of spread spectrum communication is a way to deliver information, it has better anti-interference abilities. This paper introduces the basic principles and the structures of direct sequence spread spectrum, in the Systemview software we set up emulatioanal model of the spread spectrum communication, and joined Rummler interference channel and self-defining channel, then carry on emulation and analyze comparatively transmission of the spread spectrum signal in different channel, through research analysis certificate to the anti-interference ability of the spread spectrum communication.

The design and realization of chip type airborne sound-warning system are introduced. Taking the monolithic integrated circuit P87C52X2FN and voice chip ISD4003-8 M as the core, the hardware principle electric circuit and the main software design mentality has produced. This warning system is been provided with some merits such as the strong function, the high precision, expediently operate and so on.

The realization method of DDS technology is introduced, and its superior technical characteristics are analyzed in this paper. According to its characteristics, the high accuracy digital frequency signal source based on FPGA is designed. The simulation result indicated, compares with the traditional signal source, this type of signal source realized by the method of FPGA+DDS have many merits such as high precision and fast switch speed, which can satisfies the developing tendency of test facility.
