이 연구에서는 환경부하가 적은 산림훼손지 생태복원용 단위격자틀을 개발하기 위하여 콘크리트와 국내산 침엽수 4종과 활엽수 3종을 각각 복합적층한 7종류의 목재-콘크리트 복합적층재를 제작하였고, 정적 휨 강도성능에 미치는 수종의 밀도의 영향을 조사하였다. 목재-콘크리트 복합적층재의 휨 탄성계수는 전반적으로 수종의 밀도에 비례하여 증가하였고, 대부분 콘크리트에 비해 높은 휨 탄성계수를 나타내어 복합적층에 의한 밀도감소와 탄성계수향상의 효과가 나타났다. 휨 탄성계수 실측치는 각 라미나의 탄성계수로부터 등가단면법을 이용하여 계산한 예측치보다 약간 낮은 값을 나타내었고, 그 차이는 10% 미만인 것이 확인되었다. 목재-콘크리트 복합적층재의 휨 비례한도 응력은 콘크리트보다 1.2-1.6배의 높은 값을 나타내었다. 목재-콘크리트 복합적층재의 휨 강도는 전반적으로 수종의 밀도에 비례하여 증가하였고, 복합적층에 의해 콘크리트의 그것보다 현저한 강도향상을 나타내어 목재-콘크리트 복합적층재는 환경부하가 적으면서 내구성을 지닌 생태복원용 재료로 응용가능 할 것으로 판단된다.

In order to develop materials with a low environmental load for restoring the destroyed forest, seven types of wood-concrete hybrid laminated materials were manufactured with four softwoods, three hardwoods and concrete, and the effect of wood density on bending creep property was investigated. The bending creep curves showed a shape to considerably increase at the upper right side, and the curves were found to show a linear behavior beyond about 30 min - 1 hour, as behaviors of solid woods and wood-based materials. The initial compliances of wood-concrete hybrid-laminated materials decreased with an increase in the wood density, and those values showed 0.9 - 1.2 times of the concrete one. The creep compliances of hybrid laminated materials showed very low values, which were 0.4 - 0.8 times of the concrete ones. The relative creep were very low with a range from 8.2% to 17.0% range, which were 0.3 - 0.7 times of the concrete ones. These results indicate that these materials can be applied for restoring the destroyed forest to reduce creep deformation of the conventional concrete materials by hybrid-laminating concrete and woods.

The morphologies of inkjet-printed narrow silver lines on fluorocarbon film-coated glass substrates were measured with varying contact angles and drop spacing to study the actual stability of line printing by using a practical inkjet system. From a practical stability point of view, three types of the lines were observed: stable, unstable, and meta-stable. The stable lines were free from any bulging or breaking; the unstable lines had repetitive and periodic instabilities; and the meta-stable lines had no repetitive instability but had irregular bulges that appear sparsely. Unstable line printing resulted from either the dynamic or static instability of bead flow, which arose when the pressure-driven bead flow was too large or too small compared with droplet deposition rate, respectively. Whether the printing would be stable or meta-stable was determined by the anti-bulging stability of the flow against other disturbances. The anti-bulging stability increased when the bead flow rate was balanced with the printing rate, whereas it decreased for the present system when the flow-balance became sensitive to drop spacing.

We introduce an understanding of silver (Ag) inkjet overlap-printing characteristics from the viewpoints of cohesion between ink droplets and adhesion between an ink droplet and a surface. The printing characteristics were closely monitored by changing the surface energy to elucidate the effect of adhesion and cohesion on printing instability, such as droplet merging and line bulging. The surface energy of the substrate was changed through the hydrophilization of a hydrophobic fluorocarbon-coated surface. The surface energy and ink wettability of the prepared surfaces were characterized using sessile drop contact angle analysis, and printing instability was observed using an optical microscope after drop-on-demand inkjet printing with a 50% overlap in diameter of deposited singlet patterns. We found that the surface energy is not an appropriate indicator based on the experimental results of Ag ink printing on a hydrofluoric-treated silicon surface. The analytical approach using adhesion and cohesion was helpful in understanding the instability of the inkjet overlap-printing, as adhesion and cohesion represent the direct interfacial relationship between the Ag inks used and the substrate.

Electrical sintering of the front electrode for crystalline silicon solar cells was performed applying a constant DC current to the printed lines. Conducting lines were printed on glass substrate by a drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet printer and silver nanoparticle ink. Specific resistance and microstructure of sintered silver lines and were measured with varying DC current. To find the relation between temperatue increase with changing applied cuurent and specific resistance, temperature elevation was also calculated. Sintering process finished within a few milliseconds. Increasing applied DC current, specific resistance decreased and grain size increased after sintering. Achieved minimum specific resistance is approximately 1.7 times higher than specific resistance of the bulk silver.
