Six new species of the genus Linan Hlaváč are described from central to southern China: L. arcitibialis sp. n. (Hubei), L. denticulatus sp. n. (Guizhou), L. divaricatus sp. n. (Jiangxi), L. geneolatus sp. n. (Guizhou), L. mangshanus sp. n. (Hunan), and L. mulunensis sp. n. (Guangxi), with illustrations of habitus and major diagnostic characters. Eleven new species of the ant-loving beetle genus Pselaphodes Westwood, 1870 (Pselaphinae: Tyrini) are described from China: P. aduncus sp. nov. (Yunnan), P. anjiensis sp. nov. (Zhejiang), P. antennarius sp. nov. (Guizhou), P. baoxingensis sp. nov. (Sichuan), P. daweishanus sp. nov. (Yunnan), P. elongatus sp. nov. (Yunnan), P. maolanensis sp. nov. (Guizhou), P. paraculeus sp. nov. (Guangxi, Guizhou), P. posticus sp. nov. (Jiangxi), P. prominulus sp. nov. (Jiangxi, Guangxi), and P. songxiaobini sp. nov. (Xizang). Pselaphodes spinosus Champion, 1925, originally known from northern India, is newly recorded from China (Xizang). Male habitus and major diagnostic characters of all treated species are illustrated. The genus Acetalius Sharp currently contains two species from Japan. In this paper, a third species, A. grandis Yin & Li, sp. n., is described from eastern China. Five new species of the ant-like stone beetle genus Horaeomorphus Schaufuss (Scydmaeninae: Glandulariini) from China are described: H. hainanicus sp. n., H. biwenxuani sp. n., H. pengzhongi sp. n., H. hujiayaoi sp. n. and H. punctatus sp. n. The previously unknown male of H. chinensis Franz, 1985 is now discovered, and its aedeagus and metatrochanter are illustrated. The latter species is newly recorded from Zhejiang. Three females from Guangxi are also recorded, but their identity remains unconfirmed until associated males become available. A key to Horaeomorphus of mainland China is included. Material of the genus Lobrathium Mulsant & Rey, 1878 from the Chinese provinces Fujian, Hunan, Sichuan, Guangdong and Guangxi is examined. Six species are identified, four of them described previously and two undescribed. Lobrathium kedian Peng & Li, sp. n. (Guangxi: Shiwangda Shan) is described and illustrated. One probably undescribed species remains unnamed. The female sexual characters of L. flexum Assing, 2014 are described and illustrated for the first time. A review of 21 species of Scaphidium Olivier from East China is presented, including 6 new species: S. jinmingi sp. n. (Zhejiang, Anhui, Chongqing), S. crypticum sp. n. (Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi), S. varifasciatum sp. n. (Zhejiang, An'hui), S. robustum sp. n. (Fujian, Guizhou, Chongqing, Guangxi, Yunnan), S. connexum sp. n. (Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangxi), and S. bayibini sp. n. (An'hui). A new genus and species, Pengzhongiella daicongchaoi, of the subtribe Batrisina (Batrisitae: Batrisini) is described from the Gaoligong Mountains, Yunnan, Southwest China. Adults were collected in a colony of Odontomachus monticola, and presented reduction of certain external characters and elongate appendages relating to myrmecophily. Description and illustrations of the habitus and major diagnostic features of the new taxon are provided; a brief discussion of its taxonomic placement is included. Eight apterous species of the paederine genus Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 from the Chinese province Sichuan are described, illustrated, and distinguished from closely related and/or geographically close congeners: L. erlangense Peng & Li sp. n. (Erlang Shan), L. blandum Peng & Li sp. n. (Labahe N. R.), L. yelense Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. obscurum Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. yinziweii Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. illustre Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. micangense Peng & Li sp. n. (Micang Shan) and L. agglutinatum Assing & Peng sp. n. (Qingcheng Shan). This paper is the first of a series that deals with Dr. Michael Schülke's collection of Pselaphinae from China. The tyrine genera Labomimus Sharp, Linan Hlavác and Pselaphodes Westwood are chosen for the first part. The genus Sinotrisus Yin & Li, comprising four species, is redefined and revised. Members of Sinotrisus are often found with ants of the subfamily Formicinae, or in humid forest habitats. The type species and three new species are (re-)described and illustrated: S. kishimotoi Yin & Nomura, sp. n. Two new species, S. zhangdinghengi sp. n., S. maoershanus sp. n., of the Stenus cirrus group are described from South China, Guangxi Province. Chinese species of Dianous group I are studied and three new species are described: D. fengtingae sp. n. from Hainan Province, D. zhujianqingi sp. n. from Jiangxi and Guizhou Province, and D. huanghaoi sp. n. from Yunnan Province. Continuing surveys on the pselaphine fauna in China have revealed four undescribed species of the genus Batrisodes: Batrisodes angustelytratus sp. n. (with Pachycondyla ant) and B. longwangshanus sp. n. from Zhejiang, B. bamian sp. n. (with Pseudolasius ant) from Hunan, and B. songxiaobini sp. n. (with Formica ant) from Yunnan. The genus Batrisodellus is placed as a junior synonym of Batrisodes, syn. n.; this taxonomic act results in eight new combinations: Batrisodes cerberus, B. coprea, B. cristatus, B. fengtingae, B. laticollis, B. longulus, B. palpalis, and B. punctipennis.
