Acompanha produto: Física moderna... O tema central deste trabalho é o ensino de física moderna e contemporânea (FMC) no nível médio. Discute-se a importância do assunto, tendo em vista a realidade educacional brasileira e a pertinência do uso de tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC), em especial, recursos educacionais abertos (REA). Propõe-se articular o emprego de vídeos em sala de aula, na escola, e visitas a laboratórios didático e de pesquisa, na universidade. Os vídeos, previamente desenvolvidos no âmbito do nosso grupo de pesquisa, referentes a experimentos sobre lâmpadas espectrais, experimento de Millikan e efeito fotoelétrico, serviram de base para a elaboração de sequências didáticas. As visitas foram realizadas no laboratório didático de Física Moderna e no laboratório de pesquisa Fotonanobio da UTFPR, visando à interação entre estudantes de ensino médio, graduandos e pós-graduandos, técnico de laboratório e professores-pesquisadores. Esta articulação busca propiciar aos alunos contato com ambientes e resultados experimentais relacionados à FMC, dado o contexto de que não existe, na escola, a disponibilidade de laboratório de Física nem tampouco aproximações com laboratórios de pesquisa. Pretende-se que esta abordagem sirva de base para a mobilização de organizadores prévios capazes de fundear subsunçores, no contexto da Aprendizagem Significativa, para potencializar o ensino e aprendizagem de fenômenos importantes da FMC. This work focuses on the teaching of modern and contemporary physics (MCP) at the secondary level. Our approach considers the Brazilian educational context and the role of information and communication technologies (ICT), in particular the use of open educational resources (OER). Emphasis is given to the use of videos in the classroom. In addition, visits to didactic and research laboratories were organized. The videos, previously developed within our research group, were used as a basis for the elaboration of didactic sequences, and refer to experiments on spectral lamps, the Millikan oil drop experiment, and the photoelectric effect. The visits were held at the Modern Physics Lab and the research Lab Fotonanobio at UTFPR, and intended to bring secondary, undergraduate and graduate students together with researchers and professors. This articulation between OER and Laboratory visits aim to bring students to contact with experimental results regarding MCP, given the context in which there is no physics laboratory available at school premises. It is intended that this approach will serve as a basis for the mobilization of previous organizers, in the context of Significant Learning, to improve the teaching learning of important MCP phenomena.

Acompanha produto: Linguagem científica e aprendizagem significativa em abordagem de astronomia no ensino fundamental: sugestões para elaboração e uso de blog O objetivo desta dissertação é analisar contribuições e limitações referentes à utilização da tecnologia de blogs como meio de complemento pedagógico, em especial no Ensino Fundamental 2. Através do emprego de blog, espera-se fomentar o desenvolvimento e domínio da linguagem científica, e consequente compreensão de conteúdos relacionados às Ciências Naturais, ao permitir o registro e análise de temas associados à Astronomia e Ciências. A análise apresentada ao longo deste trabalho fundamenta-se nos pressupostos da Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa, de David Ausubel e colaboradores, e no conceito de Zona de Desenvolvimento Proximal da Teoria de Aprendizagem de Lev Vygotsky. Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida com estudantes de 5º e 9º ano em colégio particular em Curitiba, Paraná, entre os anos de 2011 e 2017. Os dados foram constituídos por registros realizados por estudantes, professores e outros participantes em blog, complementados por trabalhos desenvolvidos pelos discentes em sala de aula. Os dados foram analisados por meio de Análise de Conteúdo e, para tanto, foram organizados em dois conjuntos: o primeiro refere-se aos alunos no 5º ano em 2011 e 2012; o segundo conjunto se relaciona aos mesmos estudantes em 2015 e 2016, momento em que se encontram no 9º ano. Entre os resultados obtidos destaca-se que o uso compartilhado das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) fomentou a curiosidade e interação entre os participantes do blog, fato este que pode ter contribuído para o aprimoramento do uso da linguagem e da apropriação de conceitos científicos por parte dos estudantes. Espera-se que o enfoque destinado aos blogs relatado neste trabalho sirva como uma proposta significativa para a apropriação da linguagem científica em outras realidades e níveis de ensino, e que estimule a aprendizagem continuada e colaborativa de seus participantes. Evaluate contributions and limitations concerning the use of blog´s technology as teaching empowering tool, especially in primary education, is the subject of this dissertation. Through the blog employment, is expected to foster the development and mastery of scientific language, and consequent understanding of content related to natural science, allowing the recording and analysis of topics related to astronomy and science. The analysis presented throughout this work is based on the assumptions of the Meaningful Learning Theory of David Ausubel and collaborators, and the Zone of Proximal Development, concept of Lev Vygotsky Learning Theory. The data consisted of records made by students, teachers and other participants in blog, complemented by work done by students in the classroom. Data were analyzed using content analysis and, therefore, were organized into two sets: the first refers to students in the 5th grade, along 2011 and 2012; the second set relates to the same students in 2015 and 2016, in the 9th grade. Among the results obtained, it is highlighted that the shared use of communication technologies (ICT) encouraged curiosity and interaction between the participants of the blog, a fact that may have contributed to the improvement of language use and ownership of scientific concepts by students. It is expected that blogs as reported in this work could be a meaningful tool for scientific language appropriation for other realities and levels of education, and encourages the continued and collaborative learning among participants.

Acompanha produto: "Guia didático de astronomia: introdução aos conceitos relacionados ao Sol e a Terra" Essa dissertação é desenvolvida sob os eixos teóricos Educação em Astronomia e Formação de Professores. A literatura da área aponta a necessidade da formação continuada na área de Educação em Astronomia para os profissionais que atuam no Ensino de Ciências. Considerando importante a Educação em Astronomia desde os primeiros anos de formação no Ensino Fundamental, investigou-se os documentos oficiais que versam sobre o Ensino de Ciências desse segmento, buscando analisar como a Astronomia é contemplada. Também foi feito um estudo com um grupo de professores da rede municipal de Curitiba, a partir da análise de um questionário investigativo sobre a formação, atuação e expectativas de um material didático de Astronomia. A análise dos documentos oficiais indica que, no geral, a Astronomia é prevista nos documentos, sendo que em alguns as indicações são apresentadas com maiores detalhes que em outros. Em especial no documento municipal de Curitiba, a Astronomia é amplamente indicada desde os primeiros anos do Ensino Fundamental, e esse fato tende a ser uma tendência nacional com o advindo de um novo documento orientador – a Base Nacional Comum Curricular. Entretanto, nenhum dos documentos trata da formação do professor que estará em sala de aula desenvolvendo os conteúdos dessas diretrizes e/ou base. A investigação com os professores corrobora com a literatura da área, indicando falhas na formação inicial e necessidade de formação continuada na área: os professores têm pouco ou nenhum contato com disciplinas de Astronomia (de conteúdo ou de metodologia de ensino) em sua formação inicial e continuada. Essa investigação também se contrapõe com os documentos oficiais, pois a Astronomia parece ser trabalhada em sala de aula em somente um ano do Ensino Fundamental. Por outro lado, os professores dão indício de um material de formação continuada que poderá vir a colaborar com a Educação em Astronomia nas escolas municipais. Toda essa investigação culminou na elaboração do produto dessa dissertação: um guia didático de Astronomia, em que se apresenta alguns conteúdos previstos no documento oficial do município, considerando as expectativas dos professores para um material didático que possa auxiliar em sua formação continuada e indicações apresentadas em estudos anteriores da literatura da área. O material foi pensado de maneira a introduzir alguns conceitos básicos previstos no documento oficial do município e apresentar oportunidades de aprofundamento ao professor. O conteúdo é desenvolvido por meio de textos interativos com imagens, vídeos, hiperlinks, exercícios, indicações de atividades práticas, textos complementares de aprofundamento cultural e indicações de atividades virtuais (por meio de softwares específicos). This dissertation is developed under the theoretical axes Education in Astronomy and Teacher Training. The literature of the area points to the need for continuing education in the area of Astronomy Education for professionals who work in Science Teaching. Considering important the Education in Astronomy since the first years of formation in Elementary School, we investigated the official documents that deal with the Teaching of Sciences of this segment, trying to analyze how Astronomy is contemplated. A study was also carried out with a group of teachers from the municipal network of Curitiba, based on the analysis of an investigative questionnaire on the training, performance and expectations of an astronomy teaching material. The analysis of the official documents indicates that, in general, Astronomy is foreseen in the documents, and in some the indications are presented in more detail than in others. In particular in the municipal document of Curitiba, Astronomy is widely indicated since the first years of elementary school, and this tends to be a national trend with the coming of a new guiding document - the National Curricular Common Base. However, none of the documents deals with the teacher training that will be in the classroom developing the contents of these guidelines and / or basis. The research with the teachers corroborates with the literature of the area, indicating shortcomings in the initial formation and the need for continuous training in the area: teachers have little or no contact with astronomy disciplines (content or teaching methodology) in their initial formation and Continued. This research also contrasts with the official documents, as Astronomy seems to be worked in the classroom in only one year of elementary school. On the other hand, the teachers give evidence of a material of continuous formation that can come to collaborate with the Education in Astronomy in the municipal schools. All this research culminated in the elaboration of the product of this dissertation: a didactic guide of Astronomy, which presents some contents foreseen in the official document of the municipality, considering the expectations of the teachers for a didactic material that can aid in their continued formation and indications presented in Previous literature studies in the area. The material was designed in such a way to introduce some basic concepts foreseen in the official document of the municipality and to present opportunities of deepening to the teacher. The content is developed through interactive texts with images, videos, hyperlinks, exercises, indications of practical activities, complementary texts of cultural deepening and indications of virtual activities (through specific software).

Acompanha: Radiações e telescópio: uma proposta para o ensino médio: caderno de sugestões de atividades educacionais Este trabalho apresenta características e discussões pertinentes à pesquisa desenvolvida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Formação Científica, Educacional e Tecnológica da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná – UTFPR – Campus Curitiba/PR. Esta pesquisa é constituída de elementos que permeiam a problematização do ensino de Física para o 3º ano do Ensino Médio das escolas públicas em geral e em particular do Colégio Estadual Paulina Pacífico Borsari, em Curitiba/PR. A referida pesquisa apresenta estratégias de ensino para abordar Radiações no Ensino Médio, tendo como objeto motivador os telescópios espaciais, dentro da perspectiva do agir comunicativo de Jürgen Habermas, do uso do discurso no âmbito explicativo com o intuito de atingir a estrutura cognitiva do aluno, para que este consiga relacionar os conceitos aprendidos com os demais âmbitos: objetivo, social e subjetivo. Ao fazer as relações nos três âmbitos citados, espera-se que aluno tenha conseguido estabelecer na sua estrutura cognitiva inter-relações entre os conhecimentos prévios e os novos conceitos. Esse processo envolve a assimilação e retenção de novos conhecimentos, de acordo com os modelos teóricos estabilizados, para aprendizagem significativa, de acordo com a Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa de David Ausubel e colaboradores. Os dados desta pesquisa foram constituídos por meio de: registros escritos em diário de campo, elaborados pelo pesquisador; gravações em áudio das atividades educacionais desenvolvidas; mapas conceituais elaborados pelo professor e pelos alunos; questionários respondidos pelos discentes. Esses dados foram analisados por meio de Análise de Conteúdo. Entre os resultados, podem ser destacados indícios de assimilação de conceitos científicos para a ampliação de âmbito explicativo e estabelecimento de relações entre ciência e tecnologia em referência aos âmbitos objetivo, social e subjetivo. This study presents characteristics and relevant discussions on research conducted at the Postgraduate Program in Scientific, Educational and Technological Formation in Federal University of Technology-Parana- UTFPR-Campus Curitiba / PR. This study consists of elements that permeate the questioning of the teaching of Physics for the 3rd year of high school in public schools in general and in particular the State College Paulina Pacific Borsari, in Curitiba / PR. This research presents teaching strategies to address radiation in high school, with the space telescopes as motivating objects, from the perspective of communicative action by Jürgen Habermas, considering the speech use in explanatory domain in order to achieve student cognitive structure, so that this learner can relate the learned concepts with other domains: objective, social and subjective. By making the relationships in the three mentioned domains, it is expected that the student has been able to establish interrelationships in their cognitive structure between prior knowledge and new concepts. This process involves the assimilation and retention of new knowledge, according to stabilized theoretical models, aiming a meaningful learning, according to Meaningful Learning Theory by David Ausubel and colleagues. Data from this study were constituted by: written records in field diary, made by the researcher; audio recordings of the developed educational activities; conceptual maps made by the teacher and students; questionnaires answered by students. These data were analyzed by means of Content Analysis. Among the results, it can be highlighted some evidence of assimilation of scientific concepts for the expansion of explanatory domain and of establishment of relations between science and technology in reference to objective, social and subjective domains.

Acompanha: O mundo nanométrico A presente dissertação aborda a inserção de um tópico de Física Moderna e Contemporânea no Ensino Fundamental II, mais especificamente, a produção, caracterização e aplicação de nanopartículas, no contexto da Nanociência e Nanotecnologia (N&N). Foi utilizado o referencial da Transposição Didática, tendo em vista o processo que encadeia a ciência desenvolvida pelo cientista, o “saber sábio”, e o “saber ensinado”, aquele tratado educacionalmente em sala de aula. Este movimento também articula saberes interdisciplinares, envolvendo aspectos das ciências exatas e da natureza (física, química, biologia), saúde e ciências humanas. Deste modo, o trabalho consistiu em diversas etapas: 1- realizar uma investigação com respeito à presença da N&N em eventos da área de Ensino e revistas nacionais e internacionais; 2- analisar o tratamento dado para a N&N em livros didáticos do Ensino Médio e Fundamental II; 3- produzir um e-book interativo sobre N&N e 4- utilizar o material em sala de aula, incluindo realizar a avaliação das impressões causadas nos estudantes. Além da produção de um material didático inédito, os resultados obtidos revelam que a unidade didática despertou o interesse dos estudantes e mobilizou seu engajamento com o tema. Os resultados também mostram que os estudantes compreendem a natureza multidisciplinar da Nanociência e da Nanotecnologia, incluindo seu processo de constante construção de conteúdos científicos, bem como sua importância para o desenvolvimento tecnológico. This thesis deals with the inclusion in Elementary Education of Modern and Contemporary Physics, more specifically, the production, characterization and application of nanoparticles, in the context of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (N&N). Special attention is given to the importance of “didactic transposition” which refers to the transformations undertaken by a body of knowledge from “scholarly knowledge”, which is produced in academia, to “taught knowledge”, which is actually taught at schools, in real classrooms. In this process, Interdisciplinarity should be pointed out as an important element, considering the diverse aspects of science, including physics, chemistry, biology, health, and humanities, that are involved in and are related to N&N. Thus, our research comprises four steps: 1. an investigation on how N&N themes are presented in journals related to Physics/Science Education; 2- the analysis of didactic books used in Brazilian secondary education, regarding N&N; 3- the design and production of N&N teaching material (an interactive e-book); 4- classroom application of the developed e-book, including the assessment of students’ opinions about the educational resource. In summary, we have developed an open educational resource to address the didactic transposition of N&N. In addition, the results obtained reveal that the e-book was efficient to arouse student’s interest towards N&N, and mobilized their engagement with the topic. The results also show that students understand the multidisciplinary nature of N&N, including its importance to technological development.

Acompanha: A educação de jovens e adultos e o ensino de ciências naturais: contribuições da utilização dos conceitos unificadores A presente dissertação tem como objetivo principal propor estratégias que viabilizem o ensino dos conteúdos de ciências do 3° período da EJA do Ensino Fundamental, destacando a integração e a contextualização desses conhecimentos. A pesquisa se caracteriza como qualitativa e participante, tendo como público alvo uma turma de dezoito alunos do 3° período da EJA de uma escola pública do município de Curitiba/PR. Este trabalho apresenta a análise dessa abordagem envolvendo Energia como um conceito integrador. Para o desenvolvimento dessas atividades foram enfatizados os conceitos unificadores, que estiveram presentes direta ou indiretamente no âmbito escolar. Os dados da pesquisa são constituídos por registros escritos em diário de campo e trabalhos elaborados pelos alunos e foram analisados considerando a Análise de Conteúdo. Entre os resultados, destaca-se que os alunos puderam fazer conexões entre os conteúdos estudados, representando a possibilidade do ensino de ciências mais contextualizado e menos fragmentado. This essay aims to propose strategies that allow the teaching of the three science content of the third phase of the EJA from elementary school, focusing on a more integrated teaching method, dealing with the science content in a more contextualized way. The research is characterized as qualitative and participative, with the target audience a group of eighteen students from the 3rd phase of adult education at a public school in the city of Curitiba / PR. This paper presents the analysis of this approach on the concept of energy as an integrating concept, facilitating the learning process of the other content from the 3rd phase, making the content more cohesive and interconnected. To develop these activities the emphasis was on the unifying concepts that were directly or indirectly present in schools. So the students could make connections between the studied content, the teaching of science became more contextualized and less fragmented.

Só em filmes: possibilidades de contaminação na aprendizagem significativa Essa pesquisa surgiu da busca por uma metodologia de ensino que valorizasse o conhecimento científico com o uso de um recurso pedagógico atrativo - filmes comerciais -, que motivasse a aprendizagem significativa. Para tanto, apresenta uma análise de como os estudantes estabelecem relações do conhecimento científico com as imagens fílmicas e as possibilidades de contextualização acerca do tema “epidemia”. A metodologia de pesquisa envolve uma abordagem qualitativa, com alguns dados quantitativos das impressões dos estudantes em relação aos filmes de modo geral e sobre eles e a aprendizagem. Na pesquisa qualitativa, utilizou-se a categorização segundo Bardin (2011), para organizar as unidades contextuais produzidas pelos estudantes nas atividades educativas, e fazer a análise com base nos pressupostos da Teoria de Ausubel (2003) e Ausubel, Novak e Hanesian (1980). A partir da exibição do filme intitulado “Contágio”, utilizado como organizador prévio, buscou-se, nas dúvidas apresentadas pelos estudantes, identificar os conhecimentos prévios sobre o assunto. Por meio dessas dúvidas emergiram os subtemas, que foram categorizados em: epidemia, agente causador, incubação, transmissão, sintomas, prevenção e imunidade. Essas categorias serviram de elementos para a análise de indícios de aprendizagem levando a concluir que as narrativas fílmicas ajudam na formação de pontes cognitivas colaborando com a aprendizagem subordinada derivativa e correlativa, diferenciação progressiva e reconciliação integrativa, promovendo a assimilação e a retenção dos conhecimentos científicos. No referencial teórico utilizado para investigar os filmes como recurso pedagógicos é apresentado as considerações dos autores Rosália Duarte , Milton Almeida, Maria da Graça Setton, Marcos Napolitano, José Manuel Moran, entre outros. Como produto dessa pesquisa, elaborou-se um guia com outras propostas pedagógicas possíveis de trabalhar o tema “epidemia” utilizando filmes comerciais como organizadores prévios e para contextualização. O guia também apresenta uma linha do tempo sobre cinema e educação e um catálogo com filmes e seriados abordam o tema “epidemia”. This research arose when searching for a teaching methodology that would value scientific knowledge with the use of an alluring pedagogical resource – commercial movies – to encourage meaningful learning. To this end, it provides an analysis of how students establish relations of scientific knowledge with movie images, and the possibilities of contextualization on the topic of “epidemics”. The research methodology comprehends a qualitative approach, including some quantitative data of the students’ impressions regarding movies in general, and about the movies and learning. The categorization according to Bardin (2011) was used in the qualitative research to organize the contextual units produced by the students in the educational activities, and to conduct an analysis based on the assumptions of Ausubel’s Theory (2003) and Ausubel, Novak and Hanesian’s Theory (1980). From the showing of the movie entitled “Contagion”, used as an advance organizer, we tried to identify prior knowledge on the subject through questions raised by the students. Those same questions brought up the subtopics, categorized as epidemics, causative agent, incubation, transmission, symptoms, prevention and immunity. These categories served as elements for the analysis of learning evidence, leading to the conclusion that movie narratives help in the creation of cognitive bridges while contributing to derivative and correlative subordinate learning, progressive differentiation and integrative reconciliation, as well as promoting assimilation and retention of scientific knowledge. The theoretical background used to investigate the movies as a pedagogical resource presents the considerations of authors such as Rosália Duarte, Milton Almeida, Maria da Graça Setton, Marcos Napolitano, José Manuel Moran, among others. As a product of this research, a guide with other pedagogical proposals that make it possible to work with the topic of “epidemics” was developed by using commercial movies as advance organizers and for contextualization. The guide also shows a timeline of cinema and education, as well as a catalog with movies and series that deal with the topic of “epidemics”.

Acompanha: O ensino de ecologia mediado pelo conceito unificador energia: o biodigestor enquantomodelo didático para uma abordagem interdisciplinar Esta trabalho realizado por meio de uma pesquisa de observação participante, busca uma instrumentalização para o ensino das Ciências Naturais (CN) envolveu jovens do Ensino Médio regular de uma escola estadual em Araucária –PR. O objetivo foi estabelecer estratégias para utilização de conceitos comuns nas CN, tais como o assunto energia, que, por possuírem uma característica altamente interdisciplinar, podem ser trabalhados em sala de aula em diversas disciplinas. Desta forma, demonstra-se a possibilidade de aprofundar e ampliar as discussões sobre este conceito na disciplina de Biologia, contudo, dando ênfase também à linguagem destes conteúdos nas outras CN. Para alcançar esta meta foi proposta a construção de um modelo didático pedagógico de biodigestor que deu suporte ao conteúdo teórico trabalhado de modo expositivo em sala de aula. O trabalho aqui apresentado foi concebido de forma a contemplar os dois eixos fundamentais recomendados pelos PCN para o ensino de CN: a contextualização e a interdisciplinaridade. A contextualização ocorreu de duas formas: por meio da discussão, em sala de aula, a respeito de uma indústria local, relacionada ao tema abordado, e pela realização de experimentos que permitiram a visualização da formação do gás devido à decomposição da matéria orgânica utilizada no biodigestor. A interdisciplinaridade, por sua vez, foi explorada no contexto de uma abordagem em que os fenômenos naturais, para serem vislumbrados de forma plena, carecem da visão integrada de várias disciplinas. Ênfase foi dada às conexões entre os processos de decomposição da matéria orgânica e consequente produção de gás, o qual pode ser utilizado, por exemplo, na produção de energia elétrica. This work held through a participant observation research, seeks to instrument for the teaching of Natural Sciences (CN) involved young people from regular high school to a public school in Araucaria -PR. The objective was to establish strategies for use of common concepts in the CN, such as the matter energy, which, because they have a highly interdisciplinary feature, can be worked in the classroom in various disciplines. Thus demonstrates the possibility to deepen and widen the discussions on this concept in biology courses, however, emphasizing also the language of these contents in other CN. To achieve this goal it was proposed to build a pedagogical didactic model of biodigester that supported the theoretical content expository mode of working in the classroom. The work presented here was designed to contemplate the two fundamental axes recommended by NCP to the CN teaching: contextualization and interdisciplinarity. The contextualization occurred in two ways: through discussion in the classroom about a local industry, related to the topic discussed, and for conducting experiments that allowed the visualization of the formation of gas due to the decomposition of organic matter used in biodigester. The interdisciplinarity, in turn, was explored in the context of an approach in which natural phenomena, to be glimpsed fully, lack the integrated view of various disciplines. Emphasis is given to the connections between processes of the decomposition of organic matter and consequent production of gas which can be used, for example, in the production of electricity.
