Political praxis is a constituent part of Christian living both personal and ecclesial. These dynamics are distinguished by having as absolute reference the historical experience of Jesus in the exercise of popular sovereignty (which seeks the construction of common well-being), separation between Church and state, the prevalence of ethics and justice, the realization of the preferential option for the poor, the constitution of an authority and minimal political consensus at local, national and international level. To expose the ethical theological foundation of all this from the Bible, the ecclesiastical tradition and the engagement of contemporary community constitutes the content of this paper, which is the continuation of that published in the previous issue of this magazine.
