Abstract

Four chiral Schiff bases were synthesized conveniently from chiral amino alcohol and 2-hydroxynaphthalene-1-carbaldehyde. These ligands were used to catalyze the addition of nitroalkanes to aldehydes under ambient conditions in good yields with up to 91% ee. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
