The structure and activity of novel combined ruthenium-containing catalysts based on hypercrosslinked polystyrene modified with Fe3O4 and SiO2 were studied. The modification of the polymeric support surface aimed at imparting new properties to the catalysts is a prospective approach for the development of highly efficient catalytic systems involved in various processes. The synthesized samples are characterized by a high specific surface area and a high catalytic activity in the liquid-phase Fischer—Tropsch synthesis providing a yield of liquid hydrocarbons C6-C12 up to 82%.

This paper reviews water swelling of rubber, based on nitrile-butadiene rubber, modified by polyacrylamide and copolymer acrylamide with potassium acrylate, also their combination with sodium-carboxymethyl cellulose. During the exposure for 14 days at a temperature of 67 °С swelling ratio in water is 200 % and 47 % in 10 % aqueous solution of sodium chloride.

Traveling-wave resonant funnel diode (TWRTD) pulse generators comprising transmission lines periodically loaded by GaAs/AlAs resonant tunnel diodes (RTD's) are fabricated. The TWRTD pulse generators have convolved transition times of 3.5 ps when measured with an active probe. Using identical RTD's, TWRTD pulse generators can attain smaller transition times than those obtained with switching circuits employing a single RTD. >
