Using cheap, readily available, and economic active Mn[O.sub.2] as an oxidant, a series of 2,4-disubstituted quinazoline-3-oxides were synthesized in good to excellent yields by oxidation of the corresponding 1,2-dihydroquinazoline-3-oxides under mild conditions. This novel approach is simple and convenient and provides a series of 2,4-disubstituted quinazoline-3-oxides. À l'aide du Mn[O.sub.2] actif, un oxydant peut couteux et facilement accessible, nous avons synthetise une serie de quinazoline-3-oxydes 2,4-disubstitues avec des rendements variant de bons a excellents par oxydation des 1,2-dihydroquinazoline-3-oxydes correspondants en conditions douces. Cette nouvelle approche simple et pratique permet d'obtenir une serie de quinazoline-3-oxydes 2,4-disubstitues.
