Total-ionizing-dose (TID) radiation response on unclosed edge termination is investigated for high voltage silicon-on-insulator (SOI) laterally diffused metal–oxide–semiconductor (LDMOS) in this article. Radiation-induced dual-channel leakage current model is proposed to reveal the mechanism of leakage current generation at OFF-state. Radiation causes a mass of positive oxide trapped charges generated in field oxide (FOX) layer and buried oxide layer. Owing to the P-SOI layer with significantly low doping concentration, two inversion channels are formed at the surface and bottom in the edge termination region, which provides parallel conduction paths. Electrons from the source N+ are pulled down and flow along the bottom channel while punchthrough occurring. The radiation-induced leakage current could be suppressed by thinning FOX layer, increasing the doping concentration of the P-SOI layer, and thickening the SOI layer.

A visible light photoredox-catalyzed N-centered radical addition/semipinacol rearrangement cascade of cycloalkanol-substituted 1H-indenes or styrenes with N-arylsulfonyl protected 1-aminopyridinium salts is presented. This protocol provides an efficient access to β-amino (spiro)cyclic ketones at ambient temperature, and has the advantages of broad substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, simple operation and mild conditions.

In this article, the total ionizing dose (TID) effect is investigated in the 30-V split-gate trench (SGT) Vertical double diffused MOSFET (VDMOS). The complex trench structure, including gate oxide, split-gate oxide, and isolation oxide, is carefully studied to reveal the degradation mechanisms. Due to the multioxidation and annealing processes, the trench structure suffers serious oxide defeats. The analytical result shows a larger trapping efficiency ( ${f}_{{\text {ot}}}$ ) compared to the planar gate technology, leading to significant ${V}_{{\text {th}}}$ shifts and subthreshold leakage. Meanwhile, irradiation-induced trapped charges in the split-gate oxide have a great influence on the electric field profile in bulk, which gives rise to breakdown voltage (BV) degradation. The experimental result shows that BV presents a gradient descent and drops to as low as 14 V at 100 krad(Si). Through TCAD simulation and analytical calculation, these TID responses are evaluated, and three approaches have been proposed for the radiation hardness of SGT VDMOS.

Background: Rabdosia japonica has been historically used in China as a popular folk medicine for the treatment of cancer, hepatitis, and gastricism. Glaucocalyxin A (GLA), an ent-kaurene diterpene isolated from Rabdosia japonica, is one of the main active ingredients showing potent inhibitory effects against several types of tumor cells. To the best of our knowledge, studies regarding the structural modification and Structure- Activity Relations (SAR) of this compound have not yet been reported. Objective: The aim of this study was to discover more potent derivatives of GLA and investigate their SAR and cytotoxicity mechanisms. Methods: Novel 7-O- and 14-O-derivatives of GLA were synthesized by condensation of acids or acyl chloride. The anti-tumor activities of these derivatives against various human cancer cell lines were evaluated in vitro by MTT assays. Apoptosis assays of compound 17 (7,14-diacylation product) were performed on A549 and HL-60 cells by flow cytometry and TUNNEL. The acute toxicity of this compound was tested on mice, at the dose of 300mg per kg body weight. Results: Seventeen novel 7-O- and 14-O-derivatives of GLA (1-17) were synthesized. These compounds showed potent cytotoxicity against the tested cancer cell lines, and almost all of them were found to be more cytotoxic than GLA and oridonin. Of the synthesized derivatives, compound 17 presented the greatest cytotoxicity, with IC50 values of 0.26μM and 1.10μM in HL-60 and CCRF-CEM cells, respectively. Furthermore, this compound induced weak apoptosis of A549 cells but showed great potential in stimulating the apoptosis of HL- 60 cells. Acute toxicity assays indicated that compound 17 is relatively safer. Conclusion: The results reported herein indicate that the synthesized GLA derivatives exhibited greater cytotoxicity against leukemia cells than against other types of tumors. In particular, 7,14-diacylation product of GLA was found to be an effective anti-tumor agent. However, the cytotoxicity mechanism of this product in A549 cells is expected to be different than that in other tumor cell lines. Further research is needed to confirm this hypothesis.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is one of the most promising candidates for photoelectrochemistry applications. For a high photoelectrochemistry performance, the control of crystal structure and crystal facet is essential. The phase transformation of TiO2 is conventionally achieved by thermal annealing. Here, we report an approach for selective phase transformation of TiO2 containing exposed reactive facets with improved photoelectrochemistry performance. After femtosecond laser processing, TiO2 nanotubes with exposed reactive anatase {010} facets are prepared, and they have a maximum photocurrent density more than 5 times that of pure anatase. Additionally, this strategy can induce phase transformation in a selective area, which shows the advantages of patterning processing. Our method constructs a promising strategy for preparing functional nanomaterials with high performances and functionality.

In this review, we have summarized the research progress on stability of solid acid catalysts. Three reasons for the deactivation of solid acids and corresponding catalytic activity improvement are discussed by taking several examples, giving a good inspiration for the study and development of stable solid acid catalysts in the future.

The electrical characteristics of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) n-channel laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (NLDMOSFETs) are examined after exposure to the total ionizing dose (TID). The devices are partially radiation hardened in that the gate oxide (GOX) and the field oxide (FOX) have undergone a hardening process, but not the buried oxide (BOX). Two bias conditions, OFF-state and all terminals grounded, during irradiation are examined. The irradiated device shows that the OFF-state leakage current ( $I_{L}$ ) of these devices increases with the accumulated dose. The physical mechanisms for the $I_{L}$ are analyzed by technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulation. The OFF-state leakage current ( $I_{L}$ ) can be explained due to the effects of radiation-induced trapped charge at the BOX silicon interface.

To enhance ergot alkaloid production of Claviceps purpurea Cp-1 strain by epigenetic modification approach. The chemical epigenetic modifiers were screened to promote ergot alkaloid production of the Cp-1 strain. The histone deacetylase inhibitor suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) was found to significantly enhance the alkaloid productivity of the strain. Particularly, the titers of total ergot alkaloids were gradually increased with the increase of SAHA concentration in the fermentation medium, and the highest production of ergot alkaloids could be achieved at the concentration of 500 μM SAHA. Specially, the titers of ergometrine and total ergot alkaloids were as high as 95.4 mg/L and 179.7 mg/L, respectively, which were twice of those of the control. Furthermore, the mRNA expression levels of the most functional genes in the ergot alkaloid synthesis (EAS) gene cluster were up-regulated under SAHA treatment. It was proposed that SAHA might increase histone acetylation in the EAS gene cluster region in the chromosome, which would loosen the chromosome structure, and subsequently up-regulate the mRNA expression levels of genes involved in the biosynthesis of ergot alkaloids, thereby resulting in the markedly increase in the production of ergot alkaloids. The ergot alkaloid production by the C. purpurea Cp-1 strain can be effectively increased by the application of histone deacetylase inhibitor. Our work provides a reference for using the chemical epigenetic modifiers to improve SM production in other fungi.

Background Calcineurin B-like proteins (CBLs) are major Ca2+ sensors that interact with CBL-interacting protein kinases (CIPKs) to regulate growth and development in plants. The CBL-CIPK network is involved in stress response, yet little is understood on how CBL-CIPK function in pepper (Capsicum annuum L.), a staple vegetable crop that is threatened by biotic and abiotic stressors. Results In the present study, nine CaCBL and 26 CaCIPK genes were identified in pepper and the genes were named based on their chromosomal order. Phylogenetic and structural analysis revealed that CaCBL and CaCIPK genes clustered in four and five groups, respectively. Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) assays showed that CaCBL and CaCIPK genes were constitutively expressed in different tissues, and their expression patterns were altered when the plant was exposed to Phytophthora capsici, salt and osmotic stress. CaCIPK1 expression changed in response to stress, including exposure to P. capsici, NaCl, mannitol, salicylic acid (SA), methyl jasmonate (MeJA), abscisic acid (ABA), ethylene (ETH), cold and heat stress. Knocking down CaCIPK1 expression increased the susceptibility of pepper to P. capsici, reduced root activity, and altered the expression of defense related genes. Transient overexpression of CaCIPK1 enhanced H2O2 accumulation, cell death, and expression of genes involved in defense. Conclusions Nine CaCBL and 26 CaCIPK genes were identified in the pepper genome, and the expression of most CaCBL and CaCIPK genes were altered when the plant was exposed to stress. In particular, we found that CaCIPK1 is mediates the pepper plant’s defense against P. capsici. These results provide the groundwork for further functional characterization of CaCBL and CaCIPK genes in pepper.

A novel high voltage ultra-thin silicon on insulator (SOI) lateral double diffused metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (LDMOS) with a sectional linearly doped drift region is proposed and experimentally realized in this letter. The new device features a sectional linear doping (SLD) in a $0.17~ {\mu }\text{m}$ SOI layer with a source field plate covering the full drift region. Low specific on-resistance ${R} _{\text {on,sp}}$ is obtained by increasing the local doping concentration of the high resistance region. An analytical model is developed to provide the design guidance for the thin SOI devices with the field plate. The experimental results of the SOI SLD-LDMOS demonstrate that the new device shows a high breakdown voltage ${V} _{\text {B}}$ of 960 V with a superior figure of merit (FOM $= {V} _{\text {B}}{^{\text {2}}} / {R} _{\text {on,sp}}$ ) of 5.98 MW/cm2 when comparing with other reported thin SOI devices. Good agreements are observed between the model and the experimental results.

The revolutionary discovery of penicillin only marks the start of our exploration for valuable fungal natural products. Advanced genome sequencing technologies have translated the fungal genome into a huge reservoir of "recipes" - biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) - for biosynthesis. Studying complex fungal genetics demands specific gene manipulation strategies. This review summarizes the current progress in efficient gene targeting in fungal cells and heterologous expression systems for expressing fungal BGCs of fungal secondary metabolites.

SiC MOSFET with three-section edge termination is investigated in this paper. The edge termination for SiC MOSFET is divided into three sections with different field limited rings and the space between rings, which benefits to achieve uniform electric field and high breakdown voltage (BV). The degradation mechanism of BV and on-resistance during high temperature reverse bias (HTRB) and high temperature gate bias (HTGB) experiment are revealed. For HTRB, positive oxide trapped charge generation on SiC/SiO2 surface enhances the electric field peak at breakdown point, which is responsible for BV decreasing. For HTGB, negative oxide trapped charge generation on SiC/SiO2 surface is responsible for the increase of threshold voltage and on-resistance.

The distribution of radiation induced positive oxide trapped charges (N ot ) in buried oxide (BOX) with different applied electric fields for high-voltage (HV) SOI LDMOS is investigated. In contrast to the traditional model which depends upon N ot buildup near the interface that the field line points to, the verified experimental results in this work indicated that there are still a non-negligible set of N ot generated in SOI/BOX interface even if the electric field plays a negative role (field line perpendicular to the SOI/BOX interface pointing from the top to the bottom of the BOX). The improved model on BOX damage induced by TID considering this set of N ot and its saturation effect is proposed and adopted in accurate simulated analysis to predict the post-irradiation device behavior. The mechanism of HV SOI LDMOS degradation during irradiation is also revealed. The radiation hardening LDMOS in this work keeps breakdown voltage above 120 V at D=500 krad(Si).

Objective. To holistically explore the latent active ingredients, targets, and related mechanisms of Hugan buzure granule (HBG) in the treatment of liver fibrosis (LF) via network pharmacology. Methods. First, we collected the ingredients of HBG by referring the TCMSP server and literature and filtered the active ingredients though the criteria of oral bioavailability ≥30% and drug-likeness index ≥0.18. Second, herb-associated targets were predicted and screened based on the BATMAN-TCM and SwissTargetPrediction platforms. Candidate targets related to LF were collected from the GeneCards and OMIM databases. Furthermore, the overlapping target genes were used to construct the protein-protein interaction network and “drug-compound-target-disease” network. Third, GO and KEGG pathway analyses were carried out to illustrate the latent mechanisms of HBG in the treatment of LF. Finally, the combining activities of hub targets with active ingredients were further verified based on software AutoDock Vina. Results. A total of 25 active ingredients and 115 overlapping target genes of HBG and LF were collected. Besides, GO enrichment analysis exhibited that the overlapping target genes were involved in DNA-binding transcription activator activity, RNA polymerase II-specific, and oxidoreductase activity. Simultaneously, the key molecular mechanisms of HBG against LF were mainly involved in PI3K-AKT, MAPK, HIF-1, and NF-κB signaling pathways. Also, molecular docking simulation demonstrated that the key targets of HBG for antiliver fibrosis were IL6, CASP3, EGFR, VEGF, and MAPK. Conclusion. This work validated and predicted the underlying mechanisms of multicomponent and multitarget about HBG in treating LF and provided a scientific foundation for further research.

A visible-light photoredox-catalyzed oxidation/[3+2] cycloaddition/oxidative aromatization cascade reaction of [(3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl)methyl]phosphonates and activated olefins or alkynes for the efficient synthesis of potentially biological active pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-substituted phosphonates was developed. This transformation features mild reaction conditions (i.e., visible light irradiation, room temperature), molecular oxygen (O2) as a green oxidant, simple ‘one-pot’ operation.

Periplasmic or external carbonic anhydrases (CAs) have been well accepted as playing a crucial role in the acquisition of dissolved inorganic carbon; however, no cytological evidence or molecular information on these enzymes has been reported in seaweeds to date. In this study, the full-length cDNA sequence coding for a putative periplasmic Sjα-CA2 was cloned from the gametophytes of Saccharina japonica, an industrial brown seaweed. It was 1,728 bp in length and included a 263-bp 5'-untranslated region (UTR), a 577-bp 3'-UTR, and an 888-bp open reading frame encoding a protein precursor consisting of 295 amino acids. The mature protein, after removal of a predicted 28-residue signal peptide, was composed of 267 amino acids with a relative molecular weight of 29.27 kDa. Multisequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis indicated that it was a member of the α-CA family. Enzyme activity assays showed that the recombinant Sjα-CA2 in Escherichia coli possessed CO2 hydration and esterase activities, thus identifying this gene Sjα-CA2 in function. Immunogold electron microscopic observations with the prepared anti-Sjα-CA2 polyclonal antibody illustrated that Sjα-CA2 was located in periplasmic space of the kelp gametophyte cells. Quantitative real-time PCR results revealed that the transcription of Sjα-CA2 was induced by elevated HCO3- levels, but it was little changed while the kelp gametophytes were subjected to elevated CO2 concentrations. This study suggests that the periplasmic Sjα-CA2 might play a role in adapting to elevated environmental levels of HCO3- by dehydration of HCO3- to generate CO2 , which could be readily taken up by S. japonica gametophytes.

Lean-oxygen environment caused by methane in high gassy coal mine goaf has a significant influence on the prediction index gases of residual coal spontaneous combustion. The coal sample from Xishan coalfield in China was used to conduct the low-temperature oxidation experiments under different lean-oxygen environments. The experimental results show that different lean-oxygen environments had a significant delay effect on the formation of CO, CO2, H2 and C2H6, and the lower the O2 concentration, the more obvious the delay effect, and the delay effect of methane was greater than that of N2. A lean-oxygen environment caused by methane also had a significant influence on the values of CO/ΔO2 ratio and CO2/ΔO2 ratio. However, when the temperature was T can be accurately expressed by exponential function. The absolute amount of CO, CO2 and C2H6 generated by 1 k g residual coal ( C CO , C CO 2 and C C 2 H 6 ), which can reduce the influence of air leakage and residual coal mass on prediction index gases, were introduced to predict the spontaneous combustion in high gassy coal mine goaf. Then, the distribution diagrams of C CO , C CO 2 and C C 2 H 6 with temperature and O2 concentration were obtained, so as to accurately predict the degree of spontaneous combustion in high gassy coal mine goaf. The research results are of great significance to the prevention of spontaneous combustion in goaf of high gassy mine.

An ecofriendly heterogeneous polyoxometalate (POM)-gold catalyst Au/BW11/Al2O3 was synthesized and used for solvent-free epoxidation of cyclooctene under mild reaction conditions using molecular oxygen as an oxidant and t-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as an initiator. The catalyst was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), induced coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The catalyst showed good conversion and high selectivity without use of solvents or environmentally harmful oxidants. Moreover, the catalyst is recyclable up to three cycles with no significant loss in selectivity towards epoxide.

A new seco-cadinane sesquiterpenoid (curcumane C, 1) and a pair of new nor-bisabolene enantiomers [(+)- and (-)-curcumane D, 2a and 2b] were isolated from C. longa. Compound 1 possesses an unusual 4,5-seco-cadinane skeleton with a tetrahydrophthalide moiety, while 2a and 2b contain an unusual 15-nor-bisabolene skeleton with a chromone core. All compounds exhibited significant vasorelaxant effects against KCl-induced contraction of rat aortic rings. Compound 1 also exhibited a vasorelaxant effect against phenylephrine-induced contraction of rat aortic rings. Meanwhile, compound 1 showed a stronger vasorelaxant effect in endothelium-intact rat aortic rings compared with endothelium-denuded rat aortic rings, indicating that vasodilation by 1 involved both endothelium-dependent and endothelium-independent pathways. Furthermore, compound 1 increased the NO content in human umbilical vein endothelial cells and its vasorelaxant effect could be attenuated by treatment with L-NAME, an endothelium NO synthase inhibitor. Thus, the underlying vasodilatory mechanisms of 1 may be mediated via abrogation of extracellular Ca2+ influx and regulation of NO release in vascular endothelial cells.

A novel visible-light photoredox-catalyzed phosphinyloxy radical addition/cyclization cascade of arylphosphinic acids or arylphosphonic acid monoesters with alkynes has been developed, which provides an efficient and practical access to various phosphaisocoumarins by using a dual catalytic system containing an acridinium photosensitizer and a cobaloxime proton-reducing catalyst [Co(dmgH)2]PyCl at ambient temperature. This method has advantages of a broad substrate scope, mild condition, as well as no sacrificial oxidant.

Two novel sesquiterpenoids, curcumanes A (1) and B (2), possessing unprecedented skeletons with a dicyclo[3.2.1]octane and a dicyclo[3.3.1]nonane moiety, respectively, were isolated from Curcuma longa. Both of them had remarkable vasorelaxant activity on rat aorta via blocking extracellular Ca2+ influx through VDCCs and ROCCs. The activity of 1 was endothelium-independent, while that of 2 was endothelium-dependent. Compound 2 also prolonged APTT and TT to inhibit blood coagulation.

The copper in the waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) is cleanly recycled by physical methods and presented in the form of nano copper particles by hydrometallurgical, which provides environmental approach to the advanced utilization of metal copper. Copper in WPCBs was first pre-concentrated by gradient enrichment process including gravity separation, mechanical grinding and flotation. The leaching method was then used to dissolve copper from the flotation concentrate in ammoniacal/ammonium salt solutions. Subsequently, reduction treatment was conducted to synthesize nano-copper from leaching solution. The enrichment results of the clean physical separation process show that the grade of copper increased from 16.22% to –38.05% by gravity separation, and the grade of copper further increased to 72.62 % by flotation after dissociation, which avoids overgrinding of low value components. Copper nanoparticles can be prepared effectively, and the recovery of copper in the leaching process reaches 99 %. The particle size of copper nanoparticles obtained by ascorbic acid reduction is tens of nanometers, and the surface of copper nanoparticles is smooth and nearly spherical. The present study proposes an environmentally friendly process of preparing nano-copper from the copper in WPCBs.

The oxidation of cyclohexane to cyclohexanone, cyclohexanol, and adipic acid, which are important raw materials in nylon industry, is still being challenged in conventional processes. Microreactors and gold catalysts are both widely researched areas at present, so an effort was made to make use of collaborative properties of both. In this study, stainless steel microcapillary coated with a supported nano-gold catalyst was prepared, characterized, and employed for the oxidation of cyclohexane. Under the temperature of 180 °C, residence time of 4 min, reaction pressure of 3 MPa and molar ratio of oxygen to cyclohexane of 0.3:1, the conversion of cyclohexane was 2.09%, with the selectivity of cyclohexanol, 29.37%; cyclohexanone, 39.89%; cyclohexyl hydroperoxide, 2.46%; and adipic acid, 18.87%. Experiments showed that stainless steel microcapillary coated with a supported nano-gold catalyst in cyclohexane oxidation is a feasible process; the reaction time is very short, and the process operation runs safely.

A novel triple reduced surface field (RESURF) lateral double-diffused metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (LDMOS) with partial linear variable doping (LVD) N-type top (N-top) layer is proposed in this paper. Compared with the conventional triple RESURF LDMOS, a partial LVD N-top layer is introduced in the surface of N-well, providing a low on-resistance conduction path and leading to an optimized surface electric field, which alleviates the inherent tradeoff between the breakdown voltage (BV) and specific on-resistance (Ron,sp). With the n-drift region length of 70 μm, the novel triple RESURF LDMOS obtains a high BV of 847 V and a low Ron,sp of 79 mΩ cm2 which are 76 V higher and 46 mΩ cm2 lower than those of the conventional triple RESURF LDMOS. Therefore, the novel triple RESURF LDMOS can greatly improve the tradeoff between BV and Ron,sp. Furthermore, compared with the other existing technologies in the high BV level, the novel triple RESURF LDMOS can achieve a highest figure of merit (FOM, defined as BV2/Ron,sp) of 9.08 MW/cm2 and the conventional RESURF silicon limits are broken.

A high-voltage thick layer SOI field p-channel LDMOS (pLDMOS) with multiple field plates based on 11-μm-thick silicon layer and 1-μm-thick buried oxide layer is presented in this paper. The thick gate oxide layer is formed by field oxide process to endure the high voltage between the source and gate electrodes. The field implant (FI) technology is adopted to eliminate channel discontinuity at the bird's beak region. Multiple field plates constructed by polysilicon and metal layer are adopted to modulate electric field distribution of the depleted drift region. The SOI field pLDMOS with off-state breakdown voltage (BV) of −240 V is experimentally realized, which can be widely used for simplifying the design of level shifting.

Flotation is an effective method for recovering metals from dissociated waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs). The difference in dissociation and flotation behaviors of various size particles are revealed in this study. The metal and impurity in 3–1 mm particles were first dissociated under the impact force. The particle morphology of each size particle in the grinding products was analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). SEM results show that the metal particles presents flake shape, and the dissociated glass fiber shows rod shape. The size composition and element distribution appear bimodal distribution. Flotation results present that the distribution rate of particles in floats increases with the decrease of particle size, and increases with the increase of collector dosage. In addition, the removal rate of Si and Cu reveals the same trend. The finer particles are more sensitive to the change of collector dosage. The removal rates of Si in 1–0.25, 0.25–0.074 and −0.074 mm reaches 59.80%, 95.69% and 95.59% with 4 kg/t collector. Under the action of the collector, the floatability of Cu particles with organic matter adhered to the surface is enhanced, which results in the higher impurity removal and Cu loss.

Seven pairs of new enantiomeric sesquiterpenoids, (+)/(−)-phaeocauline A − G [(+)/(−)-1–7], were isolated from the rhizomes of Curcuma phaeocaulis by chiral HPLC separation. Their structures, including absolute configurations, were determined by spectroscopic analyses and ECD data. The isolates were assessed for vasorelaxant, anti-platelet aggregative, and neuroprotective activities. Enantiomers (+)-1 and (−)-1 showed similar activity against abnormal platelet aggregation induced by arachidonic acid, while their C-4 epimers (+)-2 and (−)-2 were inactive, which indicated that those effects were stereoselective, but not enantioselective. Compounds (+)/(−)-3–5 exhibited vasorelaxant effects against KCl-induced contraction of rat aortic rings.

Aims Liver fibrosis is a crucial pathological feature which could result in cirrhosis and hepatocarcinoma. But until now, there is no favourable treatment for it. Apigenin (APG) is a flavonoid, which exhibits efficient anti-liver fibrosis activity, but its underlying mechanisms were rarely studied. So this work aims to estimate the potential therapeutic action of APG on liver fibrosis rats and to gain insight into its system-level mechanisms. Main methods Hepatic fibrosis was induced by CCl4 in Wistar rats, and APG was given in the light of the regimen. Biochemical indexes, histopathological change and immunohistochemistry of liver were evaluated. The optimal effect group of APG was selected for further transcriptomic and proteomic analysis. Key findings APG ameliorated liver fibrosis via reducing the levels of AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, Hyp, TP, TB, DB, HA, LN, PCIII and IV-C, mitigating fibrosis and inflammation of liver in H&E and Masson staining. Mechanistically, APG elevated the activity of ALB, SOD and GSH-PX with reducing the level of MDA. The results of microarray and TMT revealed that 4919 genes and 4876 proteins were differentially expressed in the APG and model groups. Besides, transcriptomics and proteomics analyses unfolded 120 overlapped proteins, enriched in 111 GO terms containing apoptotic process, angiogenesis, cell migration and proliferation, etc. Meanwhile, KEGG pathway analysis showed that 26 pathways containing HIF-1/MAPK/eNOS/VEGF/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, regulation of actin cytoskeleton and focal adhesion mostly. Significance APG can ameliorate CCl4-induced liver fibrosis via VEGF-mediated FAK phosphorylation through the MAPKs, PI3K/Akt, HIF-1, ROS, and eNOS pathways, which may hopefully become the anti-liver fibrosis activity of natural product.

Total Ionizing dose effect induced current degradation for 300V SOI NLDMOS is investigated in this paper. The degradation mechanism of conduction drain current at on-state and leakage current at off-state is revealed by simulation and experiment. The conduction current increasing is ascribed to the reduction of the on-resistance by trapped charges in multiple interfaces. The leakage current increasing is ascribed to the weak inversion layer under filed oxide layer induced by trapped charges. Experiment result shows the annular termination structure benefits to suppress the degradation of leakage current.

A heterogenous Zr-based metal organic framework (UiO-66) encapsulating phosphotungstic acid (HPWs) catalyst (HPWs@UiO-66), was prepared by a simple direct hydrothermal reaction of ZrCl 4 , terephthalic acid, and HPWs in DMF. The as-prepared novel material was very active as the catalyst for the selective oxidation of cyclopentene (CPE) to glutaraldehyde (GA) with environmentally benign hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant. The crystal structure and morphology of UiO-66 were well preserved after the incorporation of HPWs, as confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), SEM, and TEM. Moreover, the XRD, N 2 adsorption, and FT-IR analyses reveal that HPW components could stably exist in the nanocages of UiO-66. FT-IR-CO adsorption experiments indicated that additional Lewis acid sites were present in the HPWs@UiO-66 sample, which were essential to catalyze the selective oxidation of CPE to GA. A proper amount of HPWs and their high dispersion accounted for high catalytic activity. Almost complete conversion of CPE (∼94.8%) and high yield of GA (∼78.3%) were obtained using the 35 wt% HPWs@UiO-66 catalyst. Furthermore, HPW components hardly leached in the reaction solution, enabling the catalyst to be used for three reaction cycles without obvious deactivation.

A novel 1200-V ultra-thin partial silicon-on-insulator (PSOI) lateral double-diffusion metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) with n-type buried (n-buried) layer (NBL PSOI LDMOS) is proposed in this paper. The new PSOI LDMOS features an n-buried layer underneath the n-type drift (n-drift) region close to the source side, providing a large conduction region for majority carriers and a silicon window to improve self-heating effect (SHE). A combination of uniform and linear variable doping (ULVD) profile is utilized in the n-drift region, which alleviates the inherent tradeoff between specific on-resistance ( R on,sp ) and breakdown voltage (BV). With the n-drift region length of 80 μm, the NBL PSOI LDMOS obtains a high BV of 1243 V which is improved by around 105 V in comparison to the conventional SOI LDMOS with linear variable doping (LVD) profile for the n-drift region (LVD SOI LDMOS). Besides, the 1200-V NBL PSOI LDMOS has a lower maximum temperature ( T max ) of 333 K at a power ( P ) of 1 mW/μm which is reduced by around 61 K. Meanwhile, R on,sp and T max of the NBL PSOI LDMOS are lower than those of the conventional LVD SOI LDMOS for a wide range of BV.

A visible light photoredox-catalyzed and radical-mediated strategy for the in situ generation of aza-ortho-quinone methides from readily accessible alkenylanilines and alkyl radical precursors has been accomplished for the first time. This protocol enables an efficient multicomponent cascade reaction of alkenylanilines, halides and sulfur ylides, and shows wide substrate scope and high functional group tolerance with respect to each component. Treatment of the initially formed cycloaddition products with a base leads to a convergent and streamlined synthesis of densely functionalized indoles in a single flask operation.

A novel DTI double RESURF LDMOS with P-sink layer is presented and experimentally demonstrated in this paper. The novel structure features a P-sink layer around the bottom of deep trench, which is formed with the Deep N-type Well (DNW) after the process of high temperature driving in. The highly doped P-sink layer restrains the extension of depletion region along the horizontal direction, improving the isolation performance. According to the simulation results, the surface electric field peak of the proposed DTI LDMOS is reduced by 35 % due to the enhanced depletion effect of P-sink layer. Meanwhile, the concentration of DNW and P-top region are increased, thus the R on, sp is decreased. Furthermore, the isolation region area is reduced significantly so that the chip size will be minimized. The LDMOS with R on, sp of 96.2 mΩ·cm2 and BV of 758 V is experimentally achieved, which breaks the conventional R on, sp -BV silicon limit of double RESURF technology.

A novel vertical field plate (VFP) lateral device with ultralow specific on-resistance (RON,sp) is proposed in this paper. The VFP surrounded by oxide is inserted in the bulk of the drift region. Compared to the surface local depletion of the conventional lateral field plate (LFP), the depletion layer of the VFP expands to the bulk of the drift region, which enhances the bulk electric field. Therefore, ultralow RON,sp is realized in the VFP device due to high drift-region doping (Nd) and short cell pitch. An analytical FP model is developed to describe the behavior of the VFP, in which the breakdown voltage (BV) and Nd are found to be proportional to the FP factor k. Then the uniform-doped VFP laterally diffused MOSs and the step-doped VFP laterally diffused MOS are proposed. The optimized device exhibits a BV of 945 V and a RON,sp of 34 mΩ·cm2 which are superior to those of similar devices and the silicon limit.

The oxidation of cyclohexane in the microchannels not only improves the safety of the reaction, but also the performance of the oxidation reaction. Different gas-liquid micro mixers were used for the mixing of gas and liquid before entering into microchannels, and SIMM-V2 performed best of all. Excellent slug/plug flow can be formed in the microchannels after mixing in the gas-liquid micro mixer when the molar ratio of oxygen to cyclohexane is less than 0.5:1. The conversion of cyclohexane increased as the residence time increased, but the selectivity of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone increased first and then decreased. At the reaction temperature of 200 °C, with the flow rate of the solvent isopropanol being 1 mL/min and the molar ratio of oxygen to cyclohexane being 0.15:1, both the conversion of cyclohexane and selectivity of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone increased with the increase of pressure. The conversion of cyclohexane and selectivity of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone reached 10.10% and 66.93% respectively at the pressure of 8 MPa. It is indicated that the new process by use of uncatalyzed cyclohexane oxidation in the microchannels will have very attractive prospects in the improvement of the safety, intensification of the gas-liquid mass transfer and obtaining good reactive performance. Therefore, the technology shows good potential in industrial applications.

A new route to substitute for the traditional two-step method for adipic acid production has been investigated. Supported nano metal catalysts Au/C and Co/C were prepared and used for liquid phase oxidation of cyclohexane to adipic acid with oxygen as an oxidant. These catalysts were characterized by XRD, TEM and ICP-AES. The reactions were carried out in an autoclave with solvent and radical initiator at 373~423K and 1.5 MPa. Au/C (1.25%) was found to be a highly efficient catalyst for the oxidation of cyclohexane with a high conversion (44.93%) of cyclohexane and more than 54.85% selectivity to adipic acid. It is indicated that there was a potential application prospect for the nano-catalysts in one-step oxidation of cyclohexane to adipic acid.

NBTI of BOX layer induced degradation for thin layer SOI field p-channel LDMOS is investigated by experiment, modeling and simulation. Decrease in drain current (Id) under high negative BG voltage (VBG) stressing is observed, which is ascribed to the positive fixed oxide charge and interface charge in BOX layer induced by NBTI. The NBTI conduction modulation model is proposed to elevate the positive charge density (ΔQp) generation in the BOX layer. The total on-resistance is enhanced because of hole concentration in the accumulation layer reduced by the positive charges. Simulated Id shift with applying the corresponding ΔQp in the BOX layer shows a good fitting with the measured result. Meanwhile, ΔQp in the BOX layer relaxes the electric field peak at the p-drift/n-well junction on the SOI/BOX interface, which is responsible for breakdown voltage (BV) increasing.

Using comblike polymer PAALi-g-PEO as matrix, PAALi-g-PEO/LiClO4/LiTi2(PO4)3 polymer electrolyte was prepare by casting. XRD, IR, SEM were used to study the effects of LiTi2(PO4)3 Ultrafine Powder on the conductive properties of polymer electrolyte, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to test the ionic conductivity of polymer electrolyte. The results show that there is a " competitive complexation" between LiClO4 and LiTi2(PO4)3 with PAALi-g-PEO, which can improve the surface morphology of polymer electrolyte; the conductivity of the polymer electrolyte reaches to a maximum of 4.6 x 10-5S?cm-1, and is improved by 2 to 3 orders of magnitude compared with PEO/lithium salt system.

Graphite oxide was synthesized with Staudenmaier method using natural flake graphite as carbon source. After graphite oxide was impregnated into ammonium carbonate saturated solution, NH4 intercalated graphite oxide was given. Rapid thermal exfoliation and reduction of NH4 intercalated graphite oxide to graphene was achieved as well as the nitrogen-doping of graphene under the condition of microwave irradiation. SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD, XPS and Raman were performed to characterize the synthesized nitrogen-doping of graphene. The synthesized nitrogen-doped graphene was transparent and wrinkled with 2−5 graphite layers. The nitrogen content of as-prepared nitrogen-doped graphene was 1.56wt%, corresponding to pyridinc N, pyrrolic N and graphitic N incorporated into the graphitic network.

A series of supported catalysts Co3O4/SiO2 were prepared by deposition precipitation method. ICP-AES, XRD and TEM data revealed that the Co3O4 active site was highly dispersed on the surface of SiO2. The catalysts were evaluated for selective epoxidation of styrene with molecular oxygen. The results showed that the catalysts were of good catalytic activity for styrene epoxidation and many factors had an evident effect on the catalytic epoxidation activity. The best catalyst was 3% Co3O4/SiO2 on which 96.3% conversion of styrene and 52.7% selectivity of styrene oxide were obtained under the flow rate of O2 20mL/min, 100°C, 10h with solvent.

Au/Co3O4catalysts were prepared by a co-precipitation method and characterized by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The selective oxidation of cyclohexane to cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol was investigated over Au/Co3O4catalysts using molecular oxygen as oxidant. These catalysts showed higher activities as compared to the pure Co3O4under the same reaction conditions.

Alumina was modified by doping with metal oxide and then used as the support for depositing gold by an impregnation-ammonia washing method to obtain Au/MxOy/Al2O3(M=Co, Zr and Ce) catalysts. These samples were characterized by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The effects of Co3O4content, metal oxide and mixed metal oxides on the catalytic activity for the selective oxidation of cyclohexane to cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol using molecular oxygen as oxidant were studied. The results showed that better catalytic performance was obtained over Au/MxOy/Al2O3catalysts compared with over Au/Al2O3catalysts. 9.69% conversion of cyclohexane and 93.31% selectivity to cyclohexanone, cyclohexanol and cyclohexyl hydroperoxide, with 1.02 ratio of cyclohexanone to cyclohexanol were obtained over the Au/MxOy/Al2O3catalyst at 150 , 1.5 MPa for 3 h. Moreover, according to the recycling test, the catalyst could be reused four times without remarkable loss of activity.

Carbon-supported gold catalysts Au/C were prepared by an impregnation-reduction method and modified by AgNO3to obtain bi-metallic catalysts Au-Ag/C, which were characterized by X-ray-diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). Their catalytic performance was tested in the oxidation of cyclohexene in an autoclave without any solvent. The results showed that Ag doping can significantly enhance the catalytic performance of carbon-supported gold catalyst. Au(1.0 wt.%)-Ag(1.0 wt.%)/C has been found to be an efficient catalyst for the cyclohexene oxidation with a conversion of 27.6% at 80 °C and 0.4 MPa for 12 h while selectivity for ∑C6products (including cyclohexene oxide, 2-cyclohexene-1-ol, 2-cyclohexene-1-one and cyclohexane-1,2-diol) exceeding 88.9%, especially the selectivity of cyclohexane-1,2-diol up to 47.6%. Moreover, the effects of Au, Ag content on catalytic performance were also reported.

The selective oxidation of cyclohexene to 2-cyclohexene-1-ol and 2-cyclohexene-1-one has been investi-gated over Au/HNTs (HNTs: halloysite nanotubes) catalysts with molecular oxygen in a solvent-free system. The catalysts were prepared by deposition precipitation method and characterized by ICP-AES, TEM and XRD. The results show that the catalytic performance of Au/HNTs is quite well and the catalytic activity over recycled catalyst remains highly. Moreover, the nano-size effect of gold is also reported for the reaction.

Supported gold catalysts Au/OMS-2 and Au/La-OMS-2 were prepared and used for liquid phase oxidation of cyclohexene with oxygen as an oxidant. These catalysts were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM and EDX. The reactions were carried out in an autoclave at 80 °C without any solvent. Effects of Au content and La content on catalytic performance were studied. Au/La-OMS-2 (0.24) was found to be an efficient catalyst for the oxidation of cyclohexene with a high conversion (48.0%). More than 86% selectivity for ∑ C6 (including cyclohexene oxide, 2-cyclohexene-1-ol, 2-cyclohexene-1-one) was obtained.

Well-defined hyperbranched polystyrenes have been successfully prepared by polymerization of AB2 macromonomer, polystyrene containing an azide group at its one end and two terminal propargyl groups at the other end via click reaction. For preparation of AB2 macromonomers, an ATRP initiator, bispropargyl 2-bromosuccinate (BPBS) with two propargyl groups and one bromine group was synthesized by the successive bromination and esterification reaction of L-aspartic acid. The resulting BPBS initiated the ATRP of St, and subsequently, the terminal bromine groups of (CH≡C)2-PS-Brs were substituted by N3 via the reaction with sodium azide resulting the AB2 macromonomer, (CH≡C)2-PS-N3 with various molecular weights. All intermediates and the resultant polymers were characterized by GPC, 1H NMR, FTIR, and MALLS methods. The polymerization kinetics study showed fast increase of DP at the initial stage of polymerization and then slow increase of their DP. The final “HyperMacs” have high-molecular weight up to Mw,MALLS = 340,000 g/mol, their molecular weight distributions were moderately narrow (Mw/Mn = 1.47–1.65). The ratios of [η]H/[η]L of the HyperMacs formed in the polymerization system increased with evolution of polymerization. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A panel of 52 murine monoclonal antibodies was found to recognize antigenic determinants that had been conserved among all major genetic subgroups of the H5N1 avian influenza virus prevalent since 1997. We screened a phage display library for peptides recognized by one such antibody (8H5). We analysed the specificity of 8H5 for reactive peptides presented as fusion proteins of HBc (hepatitis B core protein) and HEV (hepatitis E virus) structural protein, p239. This was then related to the specificity of the native HA (haemagglutinin) molecule by virtue of the capacity of fusion proteins to compete for 8H5 binding with different strains of H5N1 virus and the reactivity of antisera generated against fusion proteins to bind native HA molecules, and to inhibit haemagglutination and arrest infection by the virus. Nine reactive peptides of different amino acid sequences were identified, six of which were also reactive with the antibody in association with HBc and four were in association with p239. Binding occurred with the dimeric form of the four p239-fusion proteins and one of the HBc-fusion proteins, but not with the monomeric form. The HBc-fusion proteins blocked 8H5 binding with four strains of H5N1 influenza virus. Mouse antisera generated against fusion proteins bound to HA molecules, but did not inhibit haemagglutination or arrest H5N1 infection. Our findings indicate that 8H5 recognizes discontinuous sites presented by secondary and possibly higher structural orders of the peptides in spatially favourable positions for binding with the antibody, and that the peptides partially mimic the native 8H5 epitopes on the H5N1 virus.
