The authors reflect on on an editorial signed by a number of toxicology journal editors which argued for the status quo in endocrine disruptor (ED) regulation and suggest the dismissive approach is unfounded. They state both epidemiology and experimental animal studies have shown plausible causal links between ED and adverse health outcomes at very low doses. They suggest that policymakers need to base decisions on science instead of assumptions based on research on chemicals that aren't EDs.
