In this paper, the computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT was used to establish the cross-sectional flow model of the submerged floating tunnel with different characteristics in the uniform flow field, and to study the characteristics of forces and flow field of different sections. The results show that: 1) the drag coefficient and lift coefficient of ellipse section are relatively small, while those of square section are relatively large; The vortex shedding frequency of ellipse section is larger than that of square section. 2) the separation angle of square section is the smallest, while the separation angle of long-tip square section is the largest. 3) the length of back flow area and wake area of circle section is the minimum, and the length of backflow area and wake area of double square section is the maximum; the wake area of the long-tip square section has the smallest width while the square section has the largest width.
