With the purpose of developing a non-woven textile genre, an investigation is carried out to determine if vegetable cellulose can be used as an alternative raw material for the elaboration of a non-woven textile of the agglomerate type or the felt type that can be used as raw material. In clothing products, this research project is framed in a mixed method, which has a quantitative phase of an experimental nature in which the achira leaf is used as a source of cellulose, analyzing its chemical composition and morphological characteristics. In order to know the acceptance and use of alternative materials by fashion designers, a survey is carried out; In addition, the Desing Thinking methodology will be applied using its 5 phases: empathize, define, devise, prototype and evaluate. The results obtained led to the conclusion that a non-woven textile of the agglomerate type or vegetable cellulose felt can be obtained using the achira sheet, and when carrying out the tensile and resistance tests, a percentage of 0.08% is obtained as a result. the same one that is not suitable for use in clothing products directly, therefore it is considered a textile for technical use, one of the options is to combine it with a material that provides more resistance therefore when combining it it can be used in the development of trimmings that is a textile product.
