Abstract

The article focuses on the use of the CESI-MS, which is the integration of capillary electrophoresis (CE) and electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectrometry (MS), for the characterization of monoclonal antibodies during their development. It mentions a study in which the monoclonal antibody Trastuzumab was alkylated and digested with trypsin and data from CESI-MS were analysed. It discusses the effectiveness of CESI-MS in the analysis of primary sequence coverage and glycopeptide profiling.
