Abstract

The article discusses the significant role of HLA class I antigens in the tumor microenvironment as studied by the Department of Immunology in Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York. The HLA class I antigens plays an important role in the immunological process due to being reactive with antibodies and T cells receptors and by their immunogenicity in allogeneic and xenogeneic combinations. HLA class I antigens also inhibits the cytotoxic effects that prevents the enhancement of killers cells.
