Abstract

The article focuses on the efficiency of miniature stretchable dye laser in spectroscopy. These lasers had been developed for use in the visible spectrum. With this, researchers at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California have created a stretchable optofluidic dye or commonly known as laser on a chip. It is made of polydimethysiloxane polymer that changes the period of distributed-feedback geometry of the device.
