Abstract

Aryl iodides, N-benzoyloxyamines and N-tosylhydrazones are used for the preparation of various title compounds. The process involves formation of one C--N and one C--C bond where the amine function is successfully introduced at the o-position. Diamination is also possible by double C--H activation [cf. (XII)]. Furthermore, the generality of the method is demonstrated with diazo compound (XV) as the insertion component under modified conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
