Accurate diagnosis with imaging and treatment planning are key in the execution of any surgical procedure.Panoramic radiography has been routinely used in dentistry to assist in clinical diagnosis, treatment procedure but it has limitations such as overlapping of anatomical areas which are of interest in the diagnosis. The invention of computed tomography (CT) had revolutionized the digital imaging though their limitations like 2-dimensional imaging features such as distortion, magnification, and superimposition were present. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is rapidly gaining Interest in the medical fraternity. it was designed with the aim to offset some of the limitations of panoramic and CT imaging .CBCT ever since its inception, it had been routinely used in dentistry for its numerous advantages such as 3-dimensional and multi-planar views. Linear, Curved and angular measurements could be performed along with area and volume calculation and density. All with less radiation exposure compared to conventional computed tomography (CT) scans. In this case series three cases of jaw cysts have been presented with varied radiographic features and the role of CBCT in these cases flooding us with enormous radiographic informations which paved the way for precise surgical management.

To compare the effects of pelvic floor muscle exercise and abdominal muscle training, breathing exercisesandabdominal massage in children with functional constipation. Functional constipation is one the most common gastrointestinal condition in pediatrics practice with an estimation prevalence ranging from 0.7% to 29.6%. It has a multifactorial pathophysiology mainly consisting of stool with holding and delayed colonic transit.30 subjects who met theRome-III criteriafor pediatric functional constipationwere randomly divided into 2 groups. Group-A was trained with pelvic floor muscle exercise along with squat walking for 5 min under supervision of parents. Exercise duration was increased 5 min per week, for two consecutive weeks and remained the same for the next six weeks and Kegels was performed for 10 seconds. Group-B was given isometric training of the abdominal muscle which was carried out in two ways. The patient was either lying down in a left lateral decubitus position with the hip and knee flexed at 90° with two series of eight contractions and relaxations until the third week and was then increased to two series of 12 contractions and relaxations for 6 weeks. In the sitting or lying down method, training began with one series of three contractions and relaxations lasting 10 s which was increased to five repetitions in the third week until the sixth week along with abdomen tuck-in exercise. Diaphragmatic breathing and abdominal massage was given to both groups in common. The intervention of the study was about 8 weeks.Results of statistical analysis showed that both Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercises and Abdominal Muscle Training are effective in treating functional constipation among children. However pelvic floor muscle exercise was better than abdominal muscle training on the basis of Wexner Construction Scoring System.

Thus many automated access control systems are being implemented such as biometric methods and fingerprint-based access systems. But these existing systems undergo many complications that lead to time consumption in long. Thus face recognition based access systems are introduced which provides us the better solution. There are many face recognition access systems with different algorithms. This paper deals with an effective and modern algorithm called the FaceNet algorithm. The access system with this algorithm uses Face encoding to detect the face and eye which works effectively on light/illumination changes. Later on the facial feature extraction is done by using the Histogram Object Gradient (HOG). Compare face function, which contains Support Vector Machine classifier to classify the face encoding and produces the output. RFID sensor and IR sensor is implemented to make the system function effectively. Also in addition a webpage is created to provide the access authority to the management of the campus or firm where they can also handle the access system manually if needed.

Introduction: Sedentary lifestyle has given rise to various lifestyle diseases. Regular exercise training is known to improve cardiovascular functions. Heart rate variability analysis is done to assess cardiac autonomic function. The present study is to assess and compare heart rate variability in trained athletes and sedentary individuals. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional study, matched for age and sex, was done in 30 apparently healthy trained athletes and 30 apparently healthy sedentary individuals. BMI, resting pulse, blood pressure and heart rate variability analysis was done and analysed statistically. Results: In trained athletes; parameters of heart rate variability RMSSD (Root Mean Sum of Square Difference), Low Frequency (LF) and High Frequency (HF) showed significant increase and Resting pulse rate and Diastolic blood pressure showed significant decrease as compared to sedentary individuals. BACKGROUND Accidental and intentional poisoning are major preventable contributors to death and illness. According to World Health Organization (WHO) estimates, 0.3 million people die every year due to various poisoning agents. Earlier the initial resuscitation, gastric decontamination, and use of specific antidotes, better the outcome. In order to improve clinical management, proper planning and prevention is. This study was conducted in a tertiary care hospital to evaluate the pattern of acute poisoning cases in that region. METHODS This is a retrospective study conducted among 57 patients with poisoning admitted over a 2-year period. Data was collected from ICU registry and Medical Records Department, ESIC MH. RESULTS Females represented 59.6 % (n = 57). Most of our patients were in the age group 18 – 28 yrs. (35.08 %). Notably majority of the cases had consumed organophosphorus compounds (25 patients, 43.85 %) and tablets (22 patients, 38.60 %). Majority (22 patients, 38.59 %) stayed at ICU for less than three days; overall mortality from all poisoning was low (2 patients, 3.50 %). CONCLUSIONS Use of organophosphorus compound and tablets for intentional poisoning continues to be pervasive in India. Education on poison, counselling and strict pesticide and drugs regulation laws will reduce the incidence of this public health problem. KEYWORDS Organophosphorus Compound, Poisoning, Mortality

The agricultural and livestock research, education, and extension are important components for increasing production and meeting the demands of the growing population with sustainability. In this context, knowledge or information is very critical for improving the production under the present extension delivery system in India. Several studies have highlighted emerging ICTs which have the potential to reach the mass population at a limited time despite traditional media. One such emerging ICT is Social Media, which is utilized by most of the stakeholders, including farmers around the globe. Hence, for documenting its application for livestock information needs among the livestock farmers, an ex-post-facto exploratory study was conducted in Southern Karnataka using 108 purposively selected farmers, which comprised of 36 farmers each belonging to dairy, poultry and sheep and goat husbandry with pre-tested structured interview schedule. Majority of the farmers in each category were aware about social media and possessed social media accounts with highest number of WhatsApp accounts being possessed by the farmers. Social media was utilized for obtaining information about latest livestock production and management practices in all the categories. From these findings, it could be elucidated that the respondents predominantly perceived that social media had higher benefits in attaining livestock related information and adoption of digital knowledge into practice.

Premature rupture of membrane (PROM) has significant adverse events in the prenatal, peripartum, and neonatal period. Understanding the maternal and neonatal outcomes of PROM is very important to reduce maternal and child mortality by prevention of complications and better management of the condition. The present study is undertaken to determine the maternal and fetal outcomes in patients with PROM and factors influencing the maternal and neonatal outcomes following PROM. We retrospectively evaluated the maternal and neonatal outcomes and the associated risk factors for 200 consecutive singleton pregnancy outcomes by PROM. Our results suggest that the mean age of the study participants was 22.90 ± 3.45 years ranging from 18–40 years. The estimated occurrences of unfavorable maternal and neonatal outcomes were 24.5 and 28.0%, respectively. Fever (67.3%) followed by puerperal sepsis (12.3%), wound infection (6.1%), and postpartum hemorrhage (6.1%) were common maternal outcomes and birth asphyxia (55.4%) followed by neonatal septicemia (25.0%) and convulsion (5.4%) were common neonatal outcomes. C-reactive protein (CRP) was positive among 44.0% of the mothers, and Escherichia coli was the commonest organism isolated in the cervical swab. The positive serum maternal CRP levels with an adjusted odds ratio (AOR) of 3.3 and 4.8 and latency in conducting delivery with an AOR of 1.1 each were the significant independent predictors of the maternal and neonatal morbidities (p < 0.05). The transformer is considered as vital electrical equipment. Supervising the transformers health had become a difficult task since in case of any damage in the internal properties of the transformer will result in huge drawback. So it is mandatory to regularly keep an eye on the transformer. The main intent of this proposal is to procure live data related transformer health from distinct place by using internet services available through IOT technology. The transformer parameter values such as temperature, current, and oil level are collected. These data will be sent over the internet by using TCP / IP protocol. The user will be notified with an alert message in case of any power failure, and these parameters will be displayed in an android application. By this process, the health of the transformer can be monitored regularly and the necessary steps can be taken to maintain it properly.

Introduction: One of the most important cause of dry eye is diabetes mellitus. Longer the duration of diabetes in a patients, higher is the chance of developing dry eye. Level of blood sugar in diabetic patients also has a role to play in causing dry eye disease. It is seen that dry eye disease is more common in patients with poor blood sugar control. In India, not much studies has been done on dry eyes in diabetic patients. This study was carried out in an attempt to find out prevalence of dry eye in diabetic patients. Materials and Methods: Hospital based prevalence study of hundred patients with type II diabetes was conducted in SRM medical college and hospital between august 2012 and July 2013.Detailed diabetic history, slit lamp bio microscopy, Schirmers test, tear break up time, fluorescein staining, Rose Bengal staining were done, along with a standard questionnaire. Results: Forty three (43%) type II diabetes patients had dry eye in our study. A significant association is found in dry eye with poor glycaemic control [p-0.001] and with longer duration of diabetes [p Conclusion: Good glycaemic control is essential to reduce the prevalence of dry eye. Online videos and image blogging are some of the major sources for internet traffic and are estimated to have exponential growth in the future. Efforts are made to introduce advanced compression formats for images and included in the future codecs. This paper focuses on analyzing and comparing the existing codecs with the potential codecs to obtain very good quality images with substantially high compression rate. Using the same test conditions and same test content-set for both image and video codecs, like JPEG, JPEG LS, JPEG XR, JPEG 2000, JPEG XT, HEVC, VVC and EVC, the output quality of the image is analyzed using quality metrics like PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) and SSIM (Structural Similarity Index Metric). Fitting properties of each codec, conditions of testing and performance comparison between the codecs are analyzed. The test results indicate that JPEG XR is best suited for low resolution and HD image compressions while JPEG 2000 and JPEG XT are best suited for grey-scale and 4K image compressions respectively. The paper concludes with detailed analysis of codec performance including suggestion over its applications and scope for future work.

Security is the main aspect in all industries, especially in industries like gas, nuclear, mining and chemical industries, where a small mistake takes away lives and damages huge properties. Also User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) is an important factor nowadays. Changing the location, design of switches is a difficult task and its cost increases on each activity. The proposed system provides strict safety on electrical leakage of switches, the user interface and user experience can be improved and modified according to our needs. It uses a virtual reality projector, wireless transmitter and a pc to operate. The virtual button is operated by the area of the shadow of the user and sends the signal to the microcontroller through the wireless device. It activates the respective load through the relay, on which the user objects the projection of virtual switches (i.e.) It calculates the hand's shadow that objects the projection). As there is no morphing of image and other processes, time for the operation is minimized as much as possible. In addition to that, the buttons visibility, UI and UX can also be changed according to our needs.

Now a days, preparation of concrete with conventional materials becomes more costlier due to the growing demand of construction materials. It will lead construction industry, to determine the alternative materials for the conventional without compromising the quality and quantity of construction. After numerous investigations, it is accepted that the preparation of concrete with alternative or industrial waste materials will be possible. In modern days, variety of industrial waste materials like fly ash, silica fumes, paper pulp, GGBFS, brick and quarry dust, etc., are disposed directly to the environment will causes various health, environmental and economic issues. So, it is necessary to effective disposal or treatment method, in order to reduce the above-mentioned social problems. Fly ash (FA) and waste steel slag (SS) are attempted to utilize an effective replacement material for the ingredient concrete. In this study, waste material from steel making industry was used as a partial replacement for fine aggregate (FIA) by varying replacement percentages from 0% to 60% at an interval of 10% in M30 grade high volume fly ash concrete (HVFAC) with different proportions of fly ash (40%, 50% and 60%). The behaviour of HVFAC was assessed by different strength properties at varying curing periods of 3, 7, 14, 28, 56 and 90 days. It is observed 50% replacement of steel slag shows better results when HVFAC was prepared with 40% fly ash, further increment of fly ash reduces the strength concrete irrespective of steel slag replacement percentage.

The ever increasing global population, continuous dependence on fossil fuels for chemicals, fuels, feeds, and food substitutes, movement of population towards urban, and emergence of more urban cities, have created a shift towards more renewable technologies for sustainable development of environment, economy, and society. One of the renewable technologies which promotes sustainability is efficient waste management technologies. Existing waste management technologies such as open dumping, land filling, and incineration results in generation of more greenhouse gas emissions. The concept of circular economy against existing linear economy emphasizes, if the wastes are managed properly more resources can be extracted out if it, which not only contributes to sustainable economic development but also to environment and society in general. Wastes can be broadly classified into degradable (biowastes) and non-degradable waste, at present the per-capita generation of waste is 0.74 kg/day; as the population continues to rise the amount of wastes generated will double causing serious environmental, public, health, and socio-economic and political concerns. In order to be more sustainable, in the recent years global attention is focused towards valorization of biowastes into energy, food, feed, chemicals generation. This chapter deals with different types of wastes viz., biomass, food, industrial, animal, municipal solid wastes, their characteristics and scope for valorization into fuels, chemicals, and food.

During the crushing of a stone, sharpness of the blade decreases due to which deformations are observed on the blade, which reduce the efficiency of the blade. Hence it becomes necessary to check the blade structure for its crushing ability so that safety is achieved while crushing the stone. The FE model was developed to observe the stresses and deflections which are caused while crushing. Various iterations are performed and graphs are plotted and analyzed to see the deflections caused on the blade. This paper is presented to evaluate the frequencies and deflections caused on the blade and also to evaluate the stress caused on the rock, which gives better efficiency while crushing the rock. The model was created using CAD software, and Modal analysis was performed by using ANSYS Workbench 19.2.

A key frame is an illustrative frame consisting of the entire shot data. It is used to analyze, classify, index and recover video. The present algorithms produce appropriate representative frames and also produce irrelevant representative frames. Some of the algorithms are not able to generate exact key frames for entire shot. To overcome this problem, we proposed a better and efficient scheme based on DC coefficients and rough sets to achieve better results when compared to the rest. This proposed algorithm extracts the exact key frames since it eliminates the distinctness of the selection of key frames. This algorithm is applicable only for compacted MPEG videos. So decoding is not necessary. Thus, the performance of the proposed algorithm exhibits its efficacy in results.

Providing denture service in a completely edentulous situation especially to a patient with poor mandibular foundation is a challenge to the skills of the operator. Recent treatment methodologies like implant supported prosthesis have considerably mitigated the problems faced in such patients. But, implant dentistry may not be feasible in all situations due to certain anatomic limitations and compromised patient health status. Conventional complete dentures with advanced techniques are the only answer in such situations. In the process of fabricating complete denture for a patient with poor mandibular foundation, the placement of the teeth, and contouring of flanges has been debated by various doyens of the science. The piezography technique using the Neutral Zone concept has emerged a strong forerunner in providing good stability and retention in patients having poor mandibular foundation.

Deep neural networks are capable of producing photographic images that depict given natural language text descriptions. Such models have huge potential in applications such as interior designing, video games, editing and facial sketching for digital forensics. However, only a limited number of methods in the literature have been developed for text to image (TTI) generation. Most of them use Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) based deep learning methods. Attentional GAN (AttnGAN) is a popular GAN based TTI method that extracts meaningful information from the given text descriptions using attention mechanism. In this paper, we investigate the use of different Transformer models such as BERT, GPT2, XLNet with AttnGAN to solve the challenge of extracting semantic information from the text descriptions. Hence, the proposed AttnGANTRANS architecture has three variants AttnGANBERT, AttnGANXL and AttnGANGPT. The proposed method is successful over the conventional AttnGAN and gives a boosted inception score by 27.23% and a decline of Frechet inception distance by 49.9%. The results in our experiments indicate that the proposed method has the potential to outperform the contemporary state-of-the-art methods and validate the use of Transformer models in improving the performance of TTI generation. Solid waste management is one of the major problems of any developing country due to the rapid growth in urbanization and industrialization. In solid waste one of the main components is plastics. Some of the plastics used in household and industrial applications are polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and this kind of plastics can be recyclable but these plastics are simply dumped in landfills and water bodies and then plays a vital role in the causes for environmental pollution and other threats. Degradation rate of plastics also very slow, hence disposal of these plastic wastes without any cautions are not only affecting our surroundings but also affecting humans and other living beings. In addition to plastic waste another one main element is construction waste. Most of these waste plastics and construction wastes such as ceramic waste, metal scraps and quarry dust can be recycled by proper processes and can be reused. These waste plastics can be used to manufacture plastic blocks that may be used in construction works. This paper mainly focuses on the review of researches done on Improving mechanical properties of paver blocks using various waste materials as reinforcement. These plastic paver blocks with reinforcement can be used in nontraffic roads such as walkways, footpaths, pedestrian plazas, landscapes, monument premises and in waterlog areas due to their low water absorption property.

Background: Arteriovenous (AV) fistula thrombosis is a serious complication in patients undergoing hemodialysis, often presenting with symptoms of venous hypertension, failure to dialysis and uremic symptoms. Treatment is aimed to provide symptomatic relief and to maintain hemodialysis access site patency. Aim: To describe our initial experience in the endovascular treatment of lower limb AV dialysis access (AV fistula) thrombosis and/or obstruction in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Settings and design: This was a retrospective study carried out in a tertiary care center. Study duration was 24 months. Follow-up was variable. Materials and methods: Two patients with chronic kidney disease with stage 5 renal failure undergoing hemodialysis presented with lower limb arteriovenous dialysis access (arteriovenous fistula) failure between July 2014 and September 2016. Both the patients underwent endovascular treatment and were analyzed retrospectively. Results and conclusion: Both the patient underwent successful endovascular treatment for the failure of the lower limb AV dialysis access thrombosis and/or obstruction. One patient had minimal dye extravasation during manipulation of the guide wire, which ceased spontaneously. On follow-up, both patients maintained patency of the dialysis access and are undergoing successful hemodialysis. One patient had a recurrence of the thrombosis of the fistula at 9th month of the follow-up. Endovascular treatment was tried but we could not succeed. Takotsubo syndrome (TS) or transient left ventricle apical ballooning syndrome is characterized by apical hypokinesia with increased compensatory contraction of basal segments usually in presence of non-obstructive coronary artery disease. TS has been described after variety of physical and emotional stress, including surgical procedures and rarely after atrio-ventricular block and arrhythmias. Perioperative TS is a well-recognized entity. TS after balloon mitral valvotomy for severe mitral stenosis has been described only once till now. We report only the second only reported case of TS following balloon mitral valvotomy in a 45-year-old female for severe rheumatic mitral stenosis.

In current transportation scenario, the travellers have to get the ticket(s) of their trip from the bus conductor by paying the ticket fare that result in lot of prevailing problems such as change problems, etc. Normally, Electronic Ticketing Machine [ETM] is used by the conductor to cast off ticket(s) for the travellers. But it results in huge volume of paper wastage and requires skilled person for operating the machine. The disadvantage of ETM is that it is relatively slow. This annoys the travellers who are travelling in the bus. In this work, we describe a new system “Conductorless Bus Ticketing System” to present a reflex fare assortment system with backing of QR Code along with an embedded system and a smartphone app. This system is planned to enterprise an embedded system that is used for tumbling the overcrowding in the bus. In accordance with this, the Ultrasonic Sensor is used to get the count of travellers who are boarding in and boarding out from the bus and an LCD screen is placed near to the driver in order to update about the count of travellers in the bus, count of travellers board in to the bus and board off from the bus, etc. In this system, QR code generated by the traveller via the android app will be acting as the tickets) of the trip. QR code communicates with the embedded system which is fixed at the bus in order to validate whether the QR code is valid or not. The working of this system is most fortunate for communal and very opportune for travelling in the bus.

This paper proposes the design of Automatic chocolate vending machine. The primary point of the thought is to dispatch new innovation application in the public eye. Vending machine that sales different type of products. Here we uses Radio frequency Identification (RFID) along with Arduino, to overcome the coin based vending machine which does not returned the balance amount if no change available. The customer can select the product before the RFID is read, after card is scanned the product can be collected at the chocolate collector. There are three units are present in the machine, the cashless payment provided by the RFID in the firstunit. In secondunit, Arduino UNO executed the programming section and Finally, the machine delivers the product and displays the information on the display. This paper made solution to the machine that do not returns the balance amount in a coin based vending machine.

Ransomware threat continues to grow over years. The existing defense techniques for detecting malicious malware will never be sufficient because of Malware Persistence Techniques. Packed malware makes analysis harder & also it may sound like a trusted executable for evading modern antivirus. This paper focuses on the analysis part of few ransomware samples using different reverse engineering tools & techniques. There are many automated tools available for performing malware analysis, but reversing it manually helped to write two different patches for Wannacry ransomware. Execution of patched ransomware will not encrypt the user machine. Due to new advanced evading techniques like Anti-Virtual Machine (VM) & Anti-debugging, automated malware analysis tools will be less useful. The Application Programming Interface (API) calls which we used to create patch, were used to create Yara rule for detecting different variants of the same malware as well.

Key frame is a representative frame which contains the entire information of the shot. It is used for indexing, classification, analysis and retrieval of video. The existing algorithms generate relevant key frames but they also generate a few redundant key frames. Some of them are not able to represent the entire shot since relevant key frames are not extracted. We have proposed a more effective algorithm based on DC coefficients and Rough Sets to prevail over the rest. It extracts the most relevant key frames by eliminating the vagueness of the selection of key frames. It can be applied for compressed MPEG videos hence decompression is not required. The performance of this algorithm shows its effectiveness.

Many people will become unable to walk eventually. There are more than thirty specific typesof muscular dystrophy undernine main categories. The most common type among these is Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). This is caused primarily due to the lack of a protein called Dystrophin and it is found in muscle fibre membrane of our body. Currently, there being no cure for it, somephysical, occupational, orthotic intervention (e.g., ankle-foot orthosis), speech, and respiratory therapies may tend in being helpful in terms of management. Being human they also love to travel alone and interested in satisfying their own needs which shows they need to live as a common man/woman than living in a situation where some people always crowd or assist around them in satisfying their needs. So, we decided to break the rules and allow them to move anywhere around their place and use the toilet during a nature call without anyone’s support by integrating the lifting mechanisms and the toilet provision in the wheel chair.

Operation and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) modules are currently the prime concerns of the expanding photovoltaic industry. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are applied in the field of inspection and monitoring of faults that occur in a photovoltaic module (PVM). Such inspections can significantly reduce time and human interference to provide accurate classification results. Technological advancements and innovative techniques in the fast moving world expect instantaneous results. Fault diagnosis is one such technique that provides instantaneous results and assures enhanced lifetime of various critical components. This paper presents the fault detection in PVM based on deep learning with the help of aerial images acquired from UAVs. Convolutional neural networks (CNN) are adopted to extract high level features from the images which are classified using the softmax activation function. The feature extraction and fault classification is carried out by using a pre-trained VGG16 network. A total of six test conditions are considered in the study. Burn marks, delamination, discoloration, glass breakage, good panel and snail trail are the several test conditions considered. The classification result for the pre-trained CNN model is exhibited and performance of the model is evaluated.

Background: Juvenile plantar dermatosis (JPD), also known as “wet and dry foot syndrome,” is a skin disorder of the feet that commonly affects children from ages 3–14. JPD is frequently seen in children with eczema, but it is not a requirement for diagnosis. Forefoot eczema (FE) is synonymous with JPD is a condition characterized by dry fissured dermatitis of the plantar surface of the feet. Aims: To study the clinical patterns of FE and its associated risk factors. Methods: Twenty-five patients were recorded in the study during the period from April 2013 to March 2014. Fungal scrapings, patch testing, and biopsy for histopathological examination were done wherever required. Results: In our study, the most common site affected was the plantar surface of the toes in 8 (32%) patients. Hand involvement, with fissuring and soreness of the fingertips and palm, was seen in two patients (8%). Four patients (16%) had a personal history of atopy whereas a family history of atopy was present in 3 (12%). Nine patients (36%) had associated risk factors with reported aggravation of itching with plastic, rubber, or leather footwear, and with prolonged contact with water and detergents. Negative fungal scrapings and culture in all patients ruled out a dermatophyte infection. Patch testing with Indian Standard Series was performed in all patients and was positive in three. Conclusions: This study concluded FE as a distinctive dermatosis of the first and second decade, predominantly in males, with a multifactorial etiology and confirming the concept of FE as a barrier disease beyond eczema.

Panoramic radiography is a unique and a very useful extraoral film technique that allows the dentist to view the entire dentition and related structures, from condyle to condyle, on one film. Capturing a wide range of structures on a single film grounds the odds of errors in the digital panoramic radiographs. Improper positioning of the patient complicates it more, reducing the diagnostic usefulness of these radiographs. Wide knowledge about the common positioning errors and the ways to rectify it benefits the dentists in interpretation and diagnosis. Aim: This study is aimed at analyzing the 10 common positional errors (anteriorly positioned, posteriorly positioned, head tilted upwards, head tilted downwards, head twisted to one side, head tipped, overlapping of spine in lower anterior region, tongue not placed close to palate, patient movement, and ghost images) in 200 digital panoramic radiographs selected randomly. Materials and Methods: Two hundred digital panoramic radiographic images of the patients above 6 years of age were selected randomly from the stored data in the system, projected on the white screen, and studied. The radiographs were analyzed by two oral medicine and radiology specialists, by recording separately, and then the results were analyzed. Results: The most common error was failure to place the tongue close to the palate, which leads to the presence of radiolucent airspace obscuring the roots of the maxillary teeth.

The application system presented here is for use in an Android based mobile phone by the visually impaired for detecting objects in their vicinity, which will help them move around safely, without crashing into objects. The detection of objects is done from a real time video taken from the mobile phone camera. People and objects are detected from this video using OpenCV, YOLO and FaceNet. If a human is detected, the system identifies the person. His identity will then be converted into audio and presented to the user. Similarly, objects detected in the vicinity will be presented in audio format to the user.

Background: Complex foot deformities may occur as a result of trauma, poliomyelitis, osteomyelitis, burn contractures, neuromuscular diseases or may present as a resistant congenital contracture such as clubfoot. The Ilizarov fixator is new and more efficient method in the treatment of orthopedic foot problems. The aim of the study was to assess the outcome of Illizarov technique.Methods: This is a hospital record-based study conducted in 32 patients of foot deformity at orthopedic ward of Navodaya Medical college and Hospital, Raichur. The record- based data was collected in January to July 2019. Data analysis done with SPSS 24.0 version IBM USA.Results: Majority of the subjects were from 0 to 5 years age group i.e. 14 (43.8%). Mean age was 26.2±4.9 years. Majority in our study were males i.e. 71.9%. In majority of the cases, the cause of foot deformity was neglected and relapsed club foot i.e. 12 (37.5%). Treatment period was 22±7 weeks. Conclusions: The Ilizarov method can successfully correct complex foot deformities. Success rate was 90.6%.

The present study was carried out to evaluate the genetic polymorphism in Ovine MTNR1A of two tropical breeds ie., highly prolific NARI Suwarna sheep and Mandya sheep from southern peninsular region of India with respect to differential fertility. Fifty animals from each breed were randomly selected and subjected to RsaI-RFLP analysis of exon-2 of Ovine MTNR1A. The study revealed monomorphic patterns in all the animals for both the breeds. PCR amplicon of 824 bp fragments with four cut sites at 53 bp, 320 bp, 343 bp and 754 bp, resulted in 411 bp, 267 bp, 70 bp, 53 bp and 23 bp. Only presence of CC genotypes at rs406779174 SNP of Ovine MTNR1A in both the breeds supports non-seasonality in breeding of these animals and no association of SNP with increased fecundity of NARI Suwarna sheep over Mandya sheep.

At a time when all sectors are diversifying the range of applications of unmanned aerial vehicles, one of the largest communities in India that is yet to reap the benefits of this advanced technology is that of the farmers. Survey of vast swathes of agricultural land to determine how well they are irrigated is often a laborious process. This procedure can be rendered simple using UAVs. The aim of this work is to assess whether a parcel of farmland is irrigated, and to what extent. The use of UAVs will enable survey of large tracts to be surveyed in a matter of days. Moreover, use of UAVs easily offsets the disadvantages of accessing real-time data from satellites, which normally takes months to obtain. Among the tools that will be used for this purpose include remote sensing technology, image processing software and bluetooth.

In this developed modern dynamic world the atmospheric pollution focus is now changing the power generation from conventional method into Non-conventional method. Distributed generations have been consecutively assimilated with distribution systems. Optimal size and site of Distributed generation (DG) and Distribution Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) have significant impacts on the system real power loss and also in addition improvement of voltage magnitude in distribution system. In this study, lightning search algorithm (LSA) is used to find out the optimum placement of DG and DSTATCOM in distribution system. Reduction of real power losses in the distribution system is taken as the main objective function. The proposed technique is examined by using IEEE-33 bus standard test system. The overall optimized results show the performance of the proposed technique.

Shot boundary detection and key frame extraction are the primary steps for video indexing, summarization, and retrieval. We have proposed an advanced and sophisticated scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) key point matching algorithm. This approach is based on capturing the changing statistics of different kinds of shot boundaries using SIFT, followed by extracting key frames from each segmented shot by means of image information entropy technique. We can enhance the performance of this algorithm by eliminating the redundant key frames by using the edge matching rate technique. The proposed algorithms have been applied to different categories of videos to detect shot boundaries and key frame extraction. The experimental results have been excellent and they show that these algorithms are effective and efficient in performance in terms of detection of shots and extraction of ultimate key frames.

Not taking care of oral health may lead to many health problems, mouth lesions or other oral problems are most often the sign of systemic diseases such as cardiovascular, stroke and pulmonary diseases. The most common oral and dental disease which affects the teeth are dental abscess, dental caries, gingivitis, periodontal disease, pericoronitis, pulpitis, crowding, malocclusion, oral cancer, acid erosion, bad breath, dental plaque. Dental diseases are majorly diagnosed by X-ray imaging. Since the X-rays are harmful as they emit radiation. Exposed levels are not considered safe for adults and children. To eliminate the use of X-ray for imaging modality in dentistry we propose a system which includes digital imaging, thermal imaging and near infrared imaging which are non-invasive, non-harmful, cost effective and ease of use and care. After conducting a clinical study on 47 volunteers and 60 images are obtained on their denture studies reveal their efficiency here image modalities to be used as automatic classification of dental diseases and analyzing the proposed system the results confirm the diseases with greater accuracy of 87.5% hence there is a possibility of replacing X-ray images a hybrid imager which houses a thermal, a near infrared and high resolution imager.

In this paper the network reconfiguration problem is formulated as non-linear objective optimization problem. The proposed solution to this problem is framed as a non-linear combinatorial optimization problem and status of switches is non-differentiable which is solved using modified bacterial foraging algorithm, the algorithm is modified for better convergence. The modified bacterial foraging algorithm is described in a general context and then applied specifically to the network reconfiguration problem. This program was tested on 16 bus, 33 bus & 69 bus test systems. The test results proved that the efficiency of modified bacterial foraging algorithm is better than other existing methodology.

RGB-D Face database is a multimodal database based on Kinect. This paper focuses on pre-processing techniques for depth data that involve face detection, registration and facial feature localization which are very critical for face authentication and identification systems. Faces are detected in the range data, assisted by detection of face on corresponding texture data using Viola-Jones detector. Validated faces using a depth PCA classifier are registered using conventional ICP algorithm. Finally Nose tip and eye corners are localized on registered faces.

Background Studies have shown that low serum magnesium levels and microalbuminuria are associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, which are the known predictors of risk for cardiovascular disease. The chief objective of this study is to evaluate the relationship between serum magnesium level with glycated hemoglobin and urine albumin levels in clinically uncomplicated type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Methodology During this study, 35 were type 2 diabetes mellitus patients and 20 normal healthy subjects were age and sex matched, were evaluated for serum magnesium, urine albumin, glycated hemoglobin, fasting blood sugar, blood urea and serum creatinine levels. Results In 37% of the diabetic patients, magnesium concentrations were below the normal reference value. Micro albuminuria was seen in 60% of the diabetic cases. Serum magnesium level was correlated with glycemic control, as measured by HbA1c. Conclusion The findings of this study indicate that lower serum magnesium concentrations and microalbuminuria are common in type 2 diabetics. Low serum magnesium level was attributed to poor glycemic control in diabetics. Serum magnesium levels did not correlate with microalbuminuria among diabetics. Face recognition has been an area of interest in pattern recognition for past few decades. This paper focuses on the problems of person identification using 2D Face Depth data. The use of unregistered 2D Face depth data increases operational speed of the system with huge database enrollment. Here the unregistered 2D Face Depth data is fed to classifier in multiple spectral representations. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) are used for the spectral representations. Fusion of scores improves the recognition accuracy. Analysis which covers the FAR (False Acceptance Rate) and TRR (True Rejection Rate) is also done.

Headaches in women, particularly migraines, have been related to changes in the levels of the female hormone estrogen during a woman's menstrual cycle. Estrogen levels drop immediately before the start of the menstrual flow. Premenstrual migraines regularly occur during or after the time when the female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, decrease to their lowest levels. Epidemiological studies have documented its high prevalence and high socio-economic and personal impacts. It is now ranked by the World Health Organization as number 19 among all diseases world-wide causing disability. Posing a great challenge to medical field, its need of the hour to develop, a safe, quick acting and effective treatment modality to combat the condition and also uplift the health status of women.
