The Kiewitt spherical reticulated shell of triangular pyramid system is taken as the object of this study; a macroprogram of parametric modeling is developed by using the ANSYS Parametric Design Language. The minimum structural total weight is taken as the objective function, and a shape optimization program is proposed and compiled by adopting the sequence two-stage algorithm in FORTRAN environment. Then, the eigenvalue buckling analysis for Kiewitt spherical reticulated shell of triangular pyramid system is carried out with the span of 90 m and rise-span ratio of 1/7~1/3. On this basis, the whole nonlinear buckling process of the structure is researched by considering initial geometrical imperfection. The load-displacement curves are drawn, and the nonlinear behaviors of special nodes are analyzed. The structural nonlinear behaviors affected by rise-span ratio are discussed. Finally, the stability of reticulated shell before and after optimization is compared. The research results show that (1) users can easily get the required models only by inputting five parameters, i.e., the shell span (S), rise (F), latitudinal portions (Kn), radial loops (Nx), and thickness (T). (2) Under the conditions of different span and rise-span ratio, the optimal grid number and bar section for the Kiewitt spherical reticulated shell of triangular pyramid system existed after optimization; i.e., the structural total weight is the lightest. (3) The whole rigidity and stability of the Kiewitt spherical reticulated shell of triangular pyramid system are very nice, and the reticulated shell after optimization can still meet the stability requirement. (4) When conducting the reticulated shell design, the structural stability and carrying capacity can be improved by increasing the rise-span ratio or the rise. (5) From the perspective of stability, the rise-span ratio of the Kiewitt spherical reticulated shell of triangular pyramid system should not choose 1/7.

On the background of Jiangxi Wuning–Ji'an highway tunnel, the rock triaxial rheological testing machine is adopted to conduct hierarchical incremental cyclic loading and unloading rheological tests on class II, class III, and class IV rock on the tunnel site. Take class II and class IV surrounding rock for example, this paper analyzes the creep deformation rules over time in depth, studies rock rheological properties, and provides the best rheological model of tested rock. According to research findings, deformation of class II and class IV surrounding rock is composed of instantaneous elastic deformation and creep deformation. The instantaneous elastic strain value increases with the increasing stress level and the rock deformation manifests as brittle failure. The generalized Kelvin model is the best rheological model that describes deformation of class II and class IV surrounding rock.

Anchoring technique has been widely used in slope engineering because of its reinforcing function to rock and soil mass. Yet the full understanding of the anchoring mechanism still lags behind the engineering practice. This paper introduces the design process and construction technology of the grouting anchor in slope reinforcement engineering. Based on bolt grouting test, it is found that the effective anchorage length of the grouting anchor depends on the size of the anchor solid and relative physical and mechanical properties of surrounding rock and soil. Research shows that the distribution of shear stress is uneven along the anchoring length. It mainly amasses within the front 1/3 part of the anchoring and increases with the development of outside load. The conclusion is helpful to describe the anchoring mechanism and instructive for engineering practice.

The ideal point method is a kind of multiple-goal decision analysis method, the basic idea is to construct the ideal and anti-ideal solution of multi attribute problem, with degree that near ideal solution and away from the anti-ideal solution as the basis to judge each evaluation object. Based on the basic principle of ideal point method, and comprehensive consideration of the actual geological conditions of Qingdao metro, we selected rock compressive strength, integrity coefficient, structure surface behavior, groundwater and softening coefficient as the evaluation factors of surrounding rock stability, and used the rough set theory to determine the index weight. At last, established the evaluate model for the surrounding rock stability of metro based on the rough set efficacy coefficient method. The research show that the stability analysis results are consistent with the actual excavation, so using rough set efficacy coefficient method to analysis surrounding rock stability of Qingdao Metro is feasible, which provides a new idea for the stability analysis of surrounding rock.

Based on the basic principle of the efficacy coefficient method, a model of rockburst intensity prediction was established. Considering the key affecting factors of rockburst, three factors were selected as evaluation indexes including the ratio of maximum tangential stress and rock uniaxial compressive strength, the ratio of compressive and tensile strength of rock and elastic energy index. Finally, the model was applied to the rockburst prediction of water diversion tunnel of Jiangbian hydropower station and the results show that the method is reliable, and it provids a new idea to predict rockburst.

The flexible inner pressure bolt is a new kind and new structural bolt (anchor rod). A number of structural improvements and performance test have been carried out. The bolt has superior compatibility to the soft crag and the large distortion tunnel with its flexibility. In order to study its stress, deformation and interaction mechanism thoroughly, a number of large distortion calculations and analyses have been carried out on the bolt by FEM (finite element method), especially with the ANSYS software, based on the updated Lagrangian law. The results show that the maximum stress of the inner wall of the bolt is consistent with an elastic analytic solution. The maximum stress on the body occurs in the vicinity of the enhancement material. The link enhancement of the body seems to be quite essential. The experimental results indicate that the maximum injection pressure in the bolt is 2.5 MPa without link enhancement and 8.3 MPa with the enhancement. This link enhancement effect is highly significant. These results provide some basis for the design, application and anchoring stress analysis of the bolt.

Based on the hypothesis of equivalent strain energy and the theories of fracture mechanics and damage mechanics，the constitutive model and fracture damage mechanism of bolted discontinuous jointed rockmass are systematically studied under the state of complex stresses. Initially ， considering the equivalent strain energy ， the constitutive relation of anchored discontinuous jointed rockmass is derived under the state of compression-shear stresses. The constitutive relation under the state of tension-shear stresses is also developed according to the theory of self-consistence. Next，the damage evolution equations of discontinuous multi-crack rockmass under compression-shear and tension-shear are put forward according to the wing crack-initiating criterion. Finally，based on the above constitutive models and the damage evolution equations three-dimensional finite element procedures have been developed to evaluate the stability and deformability of the surrounding rock mass during excavation and supporting. The calculated results indicate that above-mentioned constitutive relation and the damage evolution equations are available.

The method of bolt-grouting supporting, grouting into surrounding rock mass by bolts in jointed rock mass roadway, is obtained wide application. However, it is difficult to determine rock mass parameter of bolt-grouting supporting. This paper begins with the displacement, which is measured easily in practice. The method of back analysis is adopted to calculate the equivalent mechanics parameters of bolt-grouting rock mass. In process of back analysis three mechanics models is supposed which are homogeneous elastic model, inhomogeneous elastic model and elastic-plastic model and corresponding algorithm is established. What's more, this paper discusses the stability of inverse algorithm and copes the problem of back analysis parameter probably instable with QR decomposed algorithm and singular value decomposed algorithm, which will be a theoretical base to determine the mechanics parameter of bolt-grouting supporting rock mass and to estimate the surrounding rock stability. In a word, the method is established to estimate mechanics parameters of bolt-grouting jointed surrounding rock mass, and some significant results are obtained, which are of reference for actual project.

Three-dimensional hydro-mechanical coupling analyses have been conducted on the water-tight structure of the cofferdam for both intake and outlet of Taian pumped storage power station, located in Shandong Province of China. In addition, the effects of excavation on the cofferdam and foundation slopes were also studied by using the 3D FLAC. The calculation results show that the central core of high-pressure grouting has a prefect anti-seepage effect and therefore is able to strengthen the stability of the cofferdam and foundation slopes. The excavation process has only some local effects on the cofferdam and does not greatly affect the global stability of the cofferdam. Therefore, no failure takes place around slope toes. The results show that the width of platform left on the excavation side is reasonable.
