Andriod malware poses a serious threat to users privacy, money, equipment and file integrity. A series of data-driven malware detection methods were proposed. However, there exist two key challenges for these methods: (1) how to learn effective feature representation from raw data; (2) how to reduce the dependence on the prior knowledge or human labors in feature learning. Inspired by the success of deep learning methods in the feature representation learning community, we propose a malware detection framework which starts with learning rich-features by a novel unsupervised feature learning algorithm Merged Sparse Auto-Encoder (MSAE). In order to extract more compact and discriminative feature from the rich-features to further boost the malware detection capability, a hybrid deep network learning algorithm Stacked Hybrid Learning MSAE and SDAE (SHLMD) is established by further incorporating a classical deep learning method Stacked Denoising Auto-encoders (SDAE). After that, we feed the feature learned by MSAE and SHLMD respectively to classification algorithms to train a malware detection model. Evaluation results on two real-world datasets demonstrate that SHLMD achieves 94.46% and 90.57% accuracy respectively, which outperforms the classical unsupervised feature representation learning Sparse Auto-encoder (SAE).

When viewing omnidirectional images (ODIs), viewers can access different viewports via head movement (HM), which sequentially forms head trajectories in spatial-temporal domain. Thus, head trajectories play a key role in modeling human attention on ODIs. In this paper, we establish a large-scale dataset collecting 21,600 head trajectories on 1,080 ODIs. By mining our dataset, we find two important factors influencing head trajectories, i.e., temporal dependency and subject-specific variance. Accordingly, we propose a novel approach integrating hierarchical Bayesian inference into long short-term memory (LSTM) network for head trajectory prediction on ODIs, which is called HiBayes-LSTM. In HiBayes-LSTM, we develop a mechanism of Future Intention Estimation (FIE), which captures the temporal correlations from previous, current and estimated future information, for predicting viewport transition. Additionally, a training scheme called Hierarchical Bayesian inference (HBI) is developed for modeling inter-subject uncertainty in HiBayes-LSTM. For HBI, we introduce a joint Gaussian distribution in a hierarchy, to approximate the posterior distribution over network weights. By sampling subject-specific weights from the approximated posterior distribution, our HiBayes-LSTM approach can yield diverse viewport transition among different subjects and obtain multiple head trajectories. Extensive experiments validate that our HiBayes-LSTM approach significantly outperforms 9 state-of-the-art approaches for trajectory prediction on ODIs, and then it is successfully applied to predict saliency on ODIs.

Abstract: Acute retinal necrosis normally occurs at the periphery retina and gradually merges and progresses to the posterior pole. Optic neuropathy and central retinal artery occlusion as initial manifestation is very rare. We report the case of a patient with optic neuropathy and central retinal vessels as the first manifestations of acute retinal necrosis. Antiviral drugs, corticosteroids, and drugs that improve blood circulation were given. The necrotic retina and swollen optic disc disappeared gradually. However, the final vision of this eye declined to no light perception. From the first case report in 2001 to now, a total of 8 sporadic cases have been reported. The average onset age is 60.85±14.05 years. Most of them had no history of virus infection. Cardiovascular disease history maybe a risk factor. Acute retinal necrosis should be considered in patients with retinal vascular occlusion accompanied by granulomatous anterior uveitis. Further research is needed to determine whether treatments in addition to antiviral and corticosteroid therapy are needed.

Enhancing damping characteristic is one of the effective methods to solve the instability problem of the rotor system. The three-dimensional numerical analysis model of scallop damper seal was established, and the effects of inlet pressures, preswirl ratios, rotational speeds, interlaced angles and seal cavity depths on the rotordynamic characteristics of scallop damper seal were studied based on dynamic mesh method and multi-frequencies elliptic whirling model. Results show that the direct stiffness of the scallop damper seal increases with decreasing inlet pressure and increasing rotational speed and cavity depth. When the seal cavity is interlaced by a certain angle, which shows positive direct stiffness. The effective damping of the scallop damper seal increases with the increasing inlet pressure, the decreasing preswirl ratio and the rotational speed and cavity depth. There exists an optimal interlaced angle to maximize the effective damping and the system stability. The leakage of the scallop damper seal is significantly reduced with decreasing inlet pressure. The preswirl will reduce the leakage flowrate, and the rotational speed has a slight effect on the leakage performance. The leakage of the scallop damper seal decreases with increasing seal cavity depth.

Aim To establish a predictive nomogram for malignancy risk stratification of micro-calcifications (MCCs) detected on mammography. Materials and Methods Consecutive mammograms from January 2017 to March 2021 were retrospectively reviewed. Traditional clinical features were recorded and mammographic features were estimated according to the 5th BI-RADS. A nomogram was developed to graphically predict the malignancy risk based on multivariate logistic regression analysis. The discrimination and calibration performance of the prediction model was assessed. Results There were 123 cases of suspicious MCCs with final pathological results identified with a malignancy rate of 55.2%. The malignancy rates of subgroups divided according to the morphology and distribution of MCCs, age, menopausal status and the maximum diameter of MCCs were significantly different. Multivariate logistic analysis showed that a menopause status of postmenopausal, maximum diameters of MCCs ≥2 cm, the morphology of MCCs as fine pleomorphic or fine linear or branching, and the distribution of MCCs as linear or segmental were predictive of a higher probability of malignancy. A prediction nomogram was developed based on four risk factors, including menopausal status as well as the maximum diameters, distribution and morphology of the MCCs. The AUC of that nomogram was 0.839 (95%CI:0.771–0.903). Conclusion In mammography, the morphology, distribution and maximum diameter of MCCs, and the menopausal status are independent predictors of malignant suspicious MCCs and are readily available in the clinical setting. The nomogram developed in this study for individualized malignancy risk stratification of suspicious MCCs shows a reliable discrimination performance.

Endometriosis is defined as the presence of endometrial glands and stroma outside the uterus. Adolescent endometriosis is often confined to the pelvic cavity and is a common cause of secondary dysmenorrhea in adolescents. Adolescent endometriosis is often with delayed diagnosis. Early diagnosis and intervention can prevent the damage of pelvic structure and ovarian tissue and reduce the incidence of adhesion and infertility. Adolescent endometriosis can be diagnosed and treated by laparoscopic biopsy. There are many kinds of drugs to treat endometriosis, such as NSAIDs, progesterone, selective progesterone receptor antagonists, GnRH-a, gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonists, aromatase inhibitors, dopamine agonists, angiogenesis inhibitors, vegetable drugs, traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions. Future treatment options, including Future treatment options include CTZ, vitamin D3, oxytocin receptor inhibitors, melatonin, doxycycline, bevacizumab, curcumin, isotretinoin, and rosiglitazone, etc can inhibit ectopic lesions. This article mainly summarizes advances in medical treatment underlying adolescent endometriosis, and provides guidance for the early clinical diagnosis and intervention of adolescent endometriosis, so as to improve the quality of life of patients and reduce adverse outcomes.

Purpose Portal hypertension due to cirrhosis is common among patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to compare the outcomes of partial hepatectomy in patients with HCC and clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH) with or without concurrent splenectomy and esophagogastric devascularization (CSED). Patients and methods From a multicenter database, patients with HCC and CSPH who underwent curative-intent hepatectomy were identified. Postoperative morbidity and mortality, and long-term overall survival (OS) were compared in patients with and without CSED before and after propensity score matching (PSM). Results Of the 358 enrolled patients, 86 patients underwent CSED. Before PSM, the postoperative 30-day morbidity and mortality rates were comparable between the CSED and non-CSED group (both P > 0.05). Using PSM, 81 pairs of patients were created. In the PSM cohort, the 5-year OS rate of the CSED group were significantly better than the non-CSED group (52.9%vs.36.5%, P=0.046). The former group had a significantly lower rate of variceal bleeding on follow-up (7.4%vs.21.7%, P=0.014). On multivariate analysis, CSED was associated with significantly better OS (HR: 0.39, P Conclusion Hepatectomy and CSED can safely be performed in selected patients with HCC and CSPH, which could improve postoperative prognosis by preventing variceal bleeding, and prolonging long-term survival.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)-characteristic rehabilitation program on levels of pain and swelling after total knee arthroplasty. Methods: A total of 72 in-patients who recovered from total knee arthroplasty in our department were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into two groups according to a random number table: the control group (n = 36) with routine nursing and the treatment group (n = 36) with TCM rehabilitation nursing. The pain scores and joint swelling were statistically analyzed. Results: The pain scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The implementation of a TCM rehabilitation program for patients after total knee arthroplasty can effectively and quickly reduce the pain and swelling of the affected limb, promote the local blood circulation, and promote the quality of life of patients after rehabilitation.

With the acceleration of urbanization, the urban heat island (UHI) effect has intensified. Urban green space can retard the UHI effectively. However, most existing work has only focused on hot regions, while little attention has been paid to cold regions. Furthermore, existing research does not classify urban green spaces according to the presence or absence of water, which will lead to inaccurate results. This paper takes four cities in cold regions of China as examples and studies the cooling effects of two different types of urban green space. The results indicate that for green spaces without water, the cooling intensity is related to the background temperature and area of the green spaces, while for green spaces containing water bodies, the area of the internal water body is the key influencing factor. Specifically, there is a threshold value of efficiency (TVoE) for the area of green spaces without water, while there is no TVoE for green spaces containing water bodies. Additionally, there is a TVoE for the water/land ratio of the green spaces containing water bodies in the four cities. The methods and results of this study can provide reference for future research and for urban planners designing urban green spaces.

Content delivery networks (CDNs) provide efficient content distribution over the Internet. CDNs improve the connectivity and efficiency of global communications, but their caching mechanisms may be breached by cyber-attackers. Among the security mechanisms, effective anomaly detection forms an important part of CDN security enhancement. In this work, we propose a multi-perspective unsupervised learning framework for anomaly detection in CDNs. In the proposed framework, a multi-perspective feature engineering approach, an optimized unsupervised anomaly detection model that utilizes an isolation forest and a Gaussian mixture model, and a multi-perspective validation method, are developed to detect abnormal behaviors in CDNs mainly from the client Internet Protocol (IP) and node perspectives, therefore to identify the denial of service (DoS) and cache pollution attack (CPA) patterns. Experimental results are presented based on the analytics of eight days of real-world CDN log data provided by a major CDN operator. Through experiments, the abnormal contents, compromised nodes, malicious IPs, as well as their corresponding attack types, are identified effectively by the proposed framework and validated by multiple cybersecurity experts. This study aims to explore the effect of mobile phone-based telemedicine management of glycemic control of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Patients with T2DM were followed up in Chongqing Jiulongpo District Yuzhoulu Community Health Center, and randomly divided into the telemedicine group (n=47) and the control group (n=50). The control group received regularly routine intervention. The telemedicine management group used the mobile phone to manage their health condition remotely.Both groups had similar baseline characteristics. After a follow-up period of 12 months intervention, the weight, body mass index, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, body fat percentage, body fat mass, body water and muscle mass, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, total costs of diabetes treatment for 1 month and the quality-of-life score were significantly improved in the telemedicine group (P0.05). And compared with the control group, body fat composition, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and the cost of change shows a significant improvement (P0.05). Positive correlation was detected between fasting blood glucose and body composition parameters, such as body fat percentage, lean body mass and body fat mass in the telemedicine group (r=0.56, P0.05; r=0.37, P0.05; r=0.56, P0.05).Compared with conventional intervention, the mobile phone-based telemedicine management can help patients with T2DM to improve glycemic level and quality of life.

Changes in lipid metabolism-related genes can affect the occurrence and development of CRC, and may be a potential therapeutic target for CRC. Therefore, starting from lipid metabolism-related genes to find natural medicines for tumor treatment may become a new direction in CRC research. Objectives This study aimed to investigate the effect of PLA2G16, a key gene involved in lipid metabolism, on the biological function of CRC, and whether the anti-CRC effect of GCK is related to PLA2G16. Methods To explore the role of PLA2G16 in CRC in vitro and in vivo, we performed cell proliferation, migration, invasion and nude mice tumorigenesis assays. As for the mechanism, we designed RNA-seq analysis and verified by western blotting and immunofluorescence experiments. Subsequently, we found the anti-CRC effect of GCK is related to PLA2G16 through western blotting and rescue experiments. Results We showed that PLA2G16 was significantly higher in CRC tissues than the adjacent normal appearing tissues, and high PLA2G16 expression correlates with unfavorable prognosis of CRC patients. Further, PLA2G16 promoted the malignant progression of CRC by inhibiting the Hippo signaling pathway determined by RNA-seq analysis, and GCK exerted anti-CRC effects by inhibiting the protein expression of PLA2G16 in vitro and in vivo. Conclusion Our results suggested that PLA2G16 promote the malignant progression of CRC by inhibiting the Hippo signaling pathway and the anti-CRC effect of GCK is through inhibiting the protein expression of PLA2G16.

Currently, early detection of lung cancer relies on the characterisation of images generated from computed tomography (CT). However, lung tissue biopsy, a highly invasive surgical procedure, is required to confirm CT-derived diagnostic results with very high false-positive rates. Hence, a non-invasive or minimally invasive biomarkers is essential to complement the existing low-dose CT (LDCT) for early detection, improve responses to a certain treatment, predict cancer recurrence, and to evaluate prognosis. In the past decade, liquid biopsies (e.g., blood) have been demonstrated to be highly effective for lung cancer biomarker discovery. In this review, the roles of emerging liquid biopsy-derived biomarkers such as circulating nucleic acids, circulating tumour cells (CTCs), long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), and microRNA (miRNA), as well as exosomes, have been highlighted. The advantages and limitations of these blood-based minimally invasive biomarkers have been discussed. Furthermore, the current progress of the identified biomarkers for clinical management of lung cancer has been summarised. Finally, a potential strategy for the early detection of lung cancer, using a combination of LDCT scans and well-validated biomarkers, has been discussed.

Nowadays, an increasing amount of data has been sent to the cloud for analysis and storage, and data security in the cloud has been widely concerned. Among them, CP-ABE is regarded as one of the most promising technologies to protect outsourced data. However, in most CP-ABE schemes, attackers may obtain user privacy information from policy plaintext. More likely, partial policy hiding programme neither satisfies full policy hiding nor applies to the needs of the large universe. In this paper,we hide both attribute values and names in policy by using private set intersection (PSI). The CP-ABE programme not only supports a complete hiding policy, but also can calculate the authorization relationship and mapping relationship between user passwords and keys. We use a polynomial-based PSI and a recursive algorithm to calculate the authorization relationship. And with the help of the algorithm and the label vector, the mapping is determined under communication restrictions. Through the outsourcing index, we achieve an efficient hiding strategy and effectively reduce the user's computing overhead. Finally, theoretical analysis and experiments show that our model has better performance while effectively protecting sensitive attributes.

Modern vehicles, including connected vehicles and autonomous vehicles, nowadays involve many electronic control units connected through intra-vehicle networks to implement various functionalities and perform actions. Modern vehicles are also connected to external networks through vehicle-to-everything technologies, enabling their communications with other vehicles, infrastructures, and smart devices. However, the improving functionality and connectivity of modern vehicles also increase their vulnerabilities to cyber-attacks targeting both intra-vehicle and external networks due to the large attack surfaces. To secure vehicular networks, many researchers have focused on developing intrusion detection systems (IDSs) that capitalize on machine learning methods to detect malicious cyber-attacks. In this paper, the vulnerabilities of intra-vehicle and external networks are discussed, and a multi-tiered hybrid IDS that incorporates a signature-based IDS and an anomaly-based IDS is proposed to detect both known and unknown attacks on vehicular networks. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed system can detect various types of known attacks with 99.99% accuracy on the CAN-intrusion-dataset representing the intra-vehicle network data and 99.88% accuracy on the CICIDS2017 dataset illustrating the external vehicular network data. For the zero-day attack detection, the proposed system achieves high F1-scores of 0.963 and 0.800 on the above two datasets, respectively. The average processing time of each data packet on a vehicle-level machine is less than 0.6 ms, which shows the feasibility of implementing the proposed system in real-time vehicle systems. Controlled islanding plays an essential role in preventing blackout of power systems. Although there are several studies on this topic in the past, the uncertainty brought by Renewable Energy Sources (RES) that may cause unpredictable unbalanced power and the observability of systems after islanding that is essential for backup black-start measures, are not paid enough attention. Therefore, a novel Mixed Integer Second Order Cone Chance-constrained Programming (MISOCCP) based model for controlled islanding is proposed in this work to address these issues. First, the uncertainty of RES is characterized by their possibility distribution models with chance constraints and the requirements (e.g., system observability) for rapid back-up black-start measures are also considered. Then, a Law of Large Numbers (LLN)-based method is employed for converting the chance constraints into deterministic ones and reformulating the non-convex model into convex one. Finally, case studies on the revised IEEE-39 and −118 bus systems as well as the comparisons among different models are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed MISOCCP model for controlled islanding. The results show that the proposed MISOCCP model can result in less unbalanced power and better observability after islanding when compared with other models.

As a practical microwave absorber, besides satisfying the basic broadband absorption performance, the density, cost, and process complexity are considerable factors in radar stealth and electromagnetic protection field as well. Here, a simple and economical structural absorber (SA) is proposed to remarkably broaden the absorption bandwidth of biochar from banana peel. By optimizing the size parameters of the unit cell, the optimal SA shows more than 90% absorption in the frequency range from 3.4 to 18 GHz by employing a lightweight porous carbon derived from sustainable biomass. The lightweight porous biochar endows SA low-density properties with surface density of only 0.574 g cm-2. In such SA, the greatly enhanced absorption performance is mainly originated from the synergistic effect of microscopic and macroscopic scales. By optimizing the pattern design of SA, the effective impedance is matched with free-space in a wide frequency, thus dissipating more electromagnetic waves through multiple resonances and edge scattering effects. Additionally, whether transverse electric or transverse magnetic polarizations, stable broadband absorption can be maintained in a wide incidence angle. Thus, this work provides a new prospect for waste utilization of banana peel and a facile low-cost route to greatly extend the microwave absorption bandwidth.

In order to overcome the problems of poor timeliness and low accuracy of mining existing in traditional methods, this paper designs a bit-object based maximum frequent pattern mining method for intensive cloud computing data. After judging the support number according to the bit object of the maximum frequent pattern, the intensive cloud computing data is accurately collected according to the difference between the load value of cloud data and the true value of load, so as to improve the accuracy of subsequent mining results, and then the maximum frequent pattern of data is accurately mined by combining the bit object. Experimental results show that the maximum time to generate mining results is only 4.6 s, the maximum bit error rate of output results is only 7%, and the maximum memory occupancy is only 3.90%. The above results show that this method is more suitable for practical excavation.

Photo-thermal conversion is one of the effective ways to utilize solar energy. Regarding the intermittence and instantaneousness of solar energy, using phase change materials (PCMs) can solve this issue by storing the obtained thermal energy. In this paper, Balsa wood (BW) is treated by delignification and carbonization firstly. Then the carbonized wood (CW) with regular pore structure is introduced into the PCMs as the supporting and photo-thermal conversion media by vacuum impregnation method. The microstructure and thermal properties of the woods and composite PCMs are tested by SEM, POM, MIP, FT-IR, DSC, and TG. The results indicate that the CWs present a similar porous structure to BW, and its porosity is as high as 92.03%. The PCMs are packaged in the porous structure of CWs due to the surface tension and capillary forces, and the maximum effective impregnation ratio of the PCMs into the CW-3 reaches to 85.25 wt%. The phase change temperature and latent heat of CW-3/OP44E are measured as 41 °C and 206.3 J/g, respectively. Moreover, the composite PCMs possess a suitable photo-thermal conversion property, and the photo-thermal conversion efficiency of the composite PCM CW-3/OP44E is 90%. The good thermal stability also indicates its potential application in the thermal energy storage system.

BACKGROUND The association between maternal interpregnancy interval (IPI) and congenital heart disease (CHD) in neonates remains inconclusive. This study aimed to examine the effect of maternal IPI on birth risk of CHD. METHODS Chinese women with two consecutive singleton deliveries in Guangzhou between January 2014 and December 2019 were selected as participants. Information on IPI and CHD was extracted from the Guangzhou Perinatal Health Care and Delivery Registry and the Guangzhou Birth Defects Surveillance Program. We stratified IPI into four categories

Background The pandemic of COVID‐19 has a persistent impact on global health, yet its sequelae need to be addressed at a wide scale around the globe. This study aims to investigate the characteristics, prevalence, and risk factors for mid‐term (>6 months) clinical sequelae in a cohort of COVID‐19 survivors. Methods Totally 715 COVID‐19 survivors discharged before April 1, 2020, from three medical centers in Wuhan, China, were included. The longitudinal study was conducted by telephone interviews based on a questionnaire including the clinical sequelae of general, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems. Demographics and some characteristics of clinical sequelae of the survivors were recorded and analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was applied to explore the risk factors for the sequelae. Results The median time interval from discharge to telephone interview was 225.0 days. The COVID‐19 survivors' median ages were 69 years, and 51.3% were male. Among them, 29.9% had at least one clinical sequela. There were 19.2%, 22.7%, and 5.0% of the survivors reporting fatigue, respiratory symptoms, and cardiovascular symptoms, respectively. Comorbidities, disease severity, the application of mechanical ventilation and high‐flow oxygen therapy, and the history of re‐admission were associated with the presence of clinical sequelae. Conclusions Our study provides further evidence for the prevalence and characteristics of clinical sequelae of COVID‐19 survivors, suggesting long‐term monitoring and management is needed for their full recovery.

With the integration of informatization and industrialization, the oil-gas industry control system is currently confronting huge security risks. To more effectively assess and predict the security state of industry control systems, this study proposed a cloud model based on factor space for security state recognition. First, the malicious behavior factors of oil-gas industry control system were obtained and were described in the factor state space. Next, the expectation, entropy and hyper entropy of each factor were constructed to convert the fuzzy concepts in the cloud model into quantitative value. Finally, based on the forward and reverse generators, single-condition, multi-condition and multi-rule cloud generators were applied to rule-based reasoning model to realize the transformation from expected value to qualitative value. Experimental simulation demonstrates that cloud-reasoning model based on the factor space can predict the impact of unknown malicious program behavior on the security state and achieve a better evaluation effect. Moreover, this study can provide a new approach to the security state recognition of industrial control systems.

Background Timely and effective removal of respiratory secretions is of great significance for tracheotomized patients. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of capsaicin nebulization to stimulate cough to promote early clearance of respiratory secretions in tracheotomized patients after hemorrhagic stroke. Method This study implemented a randomized controlled design. Sixty-three patients who were tracheotomized following a hemorrhagic stroke completed this randomized controlled trial. In the control group, 33 cases were given a routine care after tracheotomy. In the intervention group, 30 cases were given a capsaicin solution nebulization in addition to the routine care. The daily sputum output and the number of sputum suctioning were observed. The differences in sputum viscosity, cough function, and Clinical Pulmonary Infection Score (CPIS) were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Vital sign changes during capsaicin nebulization and suctioning were compared between the two groups in a pilot study. Results The daily sputum output of the capsaicin intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group ( p < .05). The number of sputum suctioning of capsaicin group was less than that of the control group after intervention ( p < .05). The CPIS score of the capsaicin group was lower than that of the control group ( p < .05) after a 1-week intervention. Patients' heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation during capsaicin nebulization were not statistically different from those during routine sputum suctioning ( p > .05). Conclusions Capsaicin atomization–induced cough can effectively promote sputum excretion of hemorrhagic stroke patients undergoing tracheotomy and has a good safety profile. The parallel computing capabilities of GPUs have a significant impact on computationally intensive iterative tasks. Offloading part or all of the deep learning tasks from the CPU to the GPU for execution is mainstream. However, a large number of redundant iterative calculations exist in the iterative process of computing tasks. Therefore, we propose a GPU-based distributed incremental iterative computing architecture that can make full use of distributed parallel computing and GPU memory structure. The architecture supports deep learning and other computationally intensive iterative applications by optimizing data placement and reducing redundant iterative calculations. To support block-based data partitioning and coalesced memory access on GPUs, we propose GDataSet, an abstract data set. The GPU incremental iteration manager called GTracker is designed to be responsible for GDataSet cache management on the GPU. In order to solve the limitation of on-chip memory size, we propose a variable sliding window mechanism. It improves the hit rate of cache access and the speed of data access by realizing the best block arrangement between on-chip memory and off-chip memory. Besides, a communication channel based on an incremental iterative model is designed to support data transmission and task communication in cluster computing. Finally, we implement the proposed architecture based on Spark 2.4.1 and CUDA 10.0. Comparative experiments with widely used computationally intensive iterative applications (K-means, LSTM, etc.) show that the incremental iterative acceleration architecture can significantly improve the efficiency of iterative computing.

The aim of this study is to determine whether Z-plasty combined with fractional CO2 laser therapy can be a potential management option for hypertrophic burn scars in the proliferation stage. A total of 105 patients (46 male and 59 female patients) diagnosed with hypertrophic scars under tension but without any functional limitations were enrolled in this study. The Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS) score and scar height were analyzed and compared. The VSS scores for all scars were improved in all groups after treatment. The scar height was also significantly decreased in each group after treatment (P 12 month time point for the C group, there was a significant difference between the ≦ 6 month time point for the L group and the > 12 month time point for the Z group. The proportion of satisfied patients was highest at 89.47% at the ≦6 month time point in the C group and lowest at 65.52% at the > 12 month time point in the L group. Six representative cases are presented. Z-plasty can decrease the thickness of a hypertrophic burn scar, which not only reduces the scar tension but also makes it easy to treat the scar with a fractional CO2 laser. Subsequent treatment with a fractional CO2 laser can better improve the color and texture of the scar.

This paper investigates a new DC voltage sag compensating scheme by using hybrid energy storage (HES) technology involved with one superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) unit and one battery energy storage (BES) unit. Two fault simulations of power supply fluctuation and sensitive load fluctuation are carried out to evaluate the dynamic voltage and power smoothing behaviours. The results obtained show that this HES-based DC voltage sag compensator has the ability to suppress the discharging / charging current overshoots for the BES unit and to enlarge the voltage compensating time for the SMES simultaneously.

There is an emerging body of literature suggesting that unlike the chronic neuroinflammatory response, acute neuroinflammation is self-regulated and is beneficial for central nervous system homeostasis and cognitive integrity. However, the neurophysiological alterations upon acute neuroinflammation and their implications on cognitive function remain poorly understood. In the present study, we reliably established a mouse model of acute and self-limiting neuroinflammation by administering a single intraperitoneal injection of low-dose lipopolysaccharide, which induced reversible sickness behavior and increased pro-inflammatory cytokine expression in the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC). During acute neuroinflammation, fast-spiking parvalbumin-expressing interneurons (PV interneurons) in the mPFC exhibited a hyperexcitable phenotype exemplified by increased input resistance, decreased rheobase current, and a higher frequency of action potentials. Furthermore, PV interneurons in the prelimbic subregion of the mPFC were excessively recruited into circuits supporting novel object recognition memory, which remained intact after acute neuroinflammation. Together, our findings suggest that alterations in PV neuronal excitability resulting from acute neuroinflammation may mediate neuronal recruitment and confer a beneficial outcome on functional integrity of NOR circuit in the mPFC.

To investigate the usefulness of the criteria with liver stiffness (LS) measured by two-dimensional shear wave elastography (2D-SWE) and platelet count (PLT) for ruling out high-risk varices in patients with compensated advanced chronic liver disease (cACLD). A total of 661 patients with cACLD had successfully undergone 2D-SWE and endoscopy screening. We analyzed risk factors for the presence of high-risk varices and compared proportions of patients who were spared endoscopy when used the predicting criteria with LS (ranged from 16 to 25 kPa) and PLT (ranged from 80 × 109/L to 150 × 109/L). PLT, albumin, LS were found to be independent predictors of high-risk varices. The LS values for ruling out and ruling in high-risk varices were 14.0 kPa and 24.8 kPa, respectively. When the Baveno VI criteria LS 150 × 109/L were used, the high-risk varices miss rate was 2.1%, while the saved endoscopy rate only was 19.2%. The new criteria that LS 100 × 109/L saved 30.4–34.6% endoscopy with 0–3.2% high-risk varices miss rate in the subgroup analysis stratified according to the types of underlying liver disease. The Baveno VI criteria can be applied to LS measurement by 2D-SWE. Impaired sensorimotor circuits have been suggested in Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). NRXN1, highly expressed in cortex and cerebellum, was one of the candidate risk genes for ADHD, while its effects on sensorimotor circuits are unclear. In this content, we aimed to investigate the differential brain effects as functions of the cumulative genetic effects of NRXN1 variants in ADHD and healthy controls (HCs), identifying a potential pathway mapping from NRXN1, sensorimotor circuits, to ADHD. Magnetic resonance imaging, blood samples and clinical assessments were acquired from 53 male ADHD and 46 sex-matched HCs simultaneously. The effects of the cumulative genetic effects of NRXN1 variants valued by poly-variant risk score (PRS), on brain function was measured by resting-state functional connectivity (rs-FC) of cerebrocerebellar circuits. Mediation analyses were conducted to evaluate the association between NRXN1, functional abnormality, and ADHD diagnosis, as well as ADHD symptoms. The results were validated by bootstrapping and 10,000 times permutation tests. The rs-FC analyses demonstrated significant mediation models for ADHD diagnosis, and emphasized the involvement of cerebellum, middle cingulate gyrus and temporal gyrus, which are crucial parts of sensorimotor circuits. The current study suggested NRXN1 conferred risk for ADHD by regulating the function of sensorimotor circuits.

The BeiDou Satellite Navigation System of China can provide users with high precision, as well as all-weather and real-time positioning and navigation information. It can be widely used in many applications. However, new challenges appear with the expansion of the 5G communication system. To eradicate or weaken the influence of various errors in BeiDou positioning, a BeiDou satellite positioning algorithm based on GPRS technology is proposed. According to the principles of the BeiDou Satellite navigation system, the navigation and positioning data are obtained and useful information are extracted and sent to the communication network through the wireless module. The error is corrected by establishing a real-time kinematic (RTK) mathematical model, and the pseudorange is calculated by carrier phase to further eliminate the relativistic and multipath errors. Based on the results of error elimination, the BeiDou satellite positioning algorithm is improved and the positioning error is corrected. The experimental results show that the positioning accuracy and efficiency of the algorithm can meet the actual needs of real-time dynamic positioning systems.

The International Health Regulations—State Party Annual Reporting (IHR-SPAR) index and the Global Health Security Index (GHSI) have been developed to aid in strengthening national capacities for pandemic preparedness. We examined the relationship between country-level rankings on these two indices, along with two additional indices (the Universal Health Coverage Service Coverage Index and World Bank Worldwide Governance Indicator (n = 195)) and compared them to the country-level reported coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases and deaths (Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 Dashboard) through 17 June 2020. Ordinary least squares regression models were used to compare weekly reported COVID-19 cases and death rates per million in the first 12 weeks of the pandemic between countries classified as low, middle and high ranking on each index while controlling for country socio-demographic information. Countries with higher GHSI and IHR-SPAR index scores experienced fewer reported COVID-19 cases and deaths but only for the first 8 weeks after the country’s first case. For the GHSI, this association was further limited to countries with populations below 69.4 million. For both the GHSI and IHR-SPAR, countries with a higher sub-index score in human resources for pandemic preparedness reported fewer COVID-19 cases and deaths in the first 8 weeks after the country’s first reported case. The Universal Health Coverage Service Coverage Index and Worldwide Governance Indicator country-level rankings were not associated with COVID-19 outcomes. The associations between GHSI and IHR-SPAR scores and COVID-19 outcomes observed in this study demonstrate that these two indices, although imperfect, may have value, especially in countries with a population under 69.4 million people for the GHSI. Preparedness indices may have value; however, they should continue to be evaluated as policy makers seek to better prepare for future global public health crises.

Background The antiviral resistance of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections is associated with mutations in the CMV UL54 and UL97 gene regions and is a serious problem in immunocompromised patients. However, the molecular epidemiology of UL54 and UL97 in Taiwan is unclear. Methods We conducted a retrospective study of patients with CMV infections between January and December 2016 in two tertiary hospitals, one regional hospital in Taiwan. CMV DNAemia was confirmed by elevated CMV DNA titers. Then the regions of the UL54 and UL97 mutations were amplified by PCR and sequenced. Results Of 729 patients with CMV syndrome, 112 CMV DNAemia patients were enrolled. Twelve novel variants in UL54 (P342S, S384F, K434R, S673F, T754M, R778H, C814S, M827I, G878E, S880L, E888K, and S976N) and one novel variant in UL97 (M615T) were discovered. UL97 antiviral resistance mutations (L595S, M460I, and M460V) were found in four patients (3.6%). In the drug resistance strains, the mutation events occurred after 83–150 days of therapy, and drug resistance was also observed in these patients. The following high frequency variants were observed: D605E in UL97 and A885T, N898D, V355A, N685S, and A688V in UL54. Conclusion The results demonstrate that the positive rate of CMV DNAemia was 15.3% (112/729) among the patients with clinical CMV infection symptoms. The proportion of antiviral resistance CMV strains within CMV DNAemia patients was 3.6%. With the information of polymorphism incidence in the UL54 and UL97 patients from our study, determination of the genetic profile of UL54 and UL97 among immunocompromised populations with refractory CMV infection is recommended.

Community detection has emerged during the last decade as one of the most challenging problems in network science, which has been revisited with network representation learning recently and has attracted considerable attention. Many approaches have been proposed in recent years, including the latest methods based on graph convolutional network (GCN). Here, we propose a new network representation learning method based on GCN for community detection in attributed networks without prior label information. Inspired by the message pass mechanism of GCN and the local self-organizing property of community structure, we integrate a label sampling model and GCN into an unsupervised learning framework to uncover underlying community structures by fusing topology and attribute information. The label sampling model constructs a balanced training set by structural center location and neighbor node expansion to train the GCN. The experiments on various real-world networks give a comparison view to evaluate the proposed method. The experimental results demonstrate the proposed method performs more efficiently with a comparative performance over current state-of-the-art community detection algorithms.

BACKGROUND Intrahepatic pancreatic pseudocyst (IHPP) is an extremely rare complication of acute pancreatitis, with only a few cases previously described in the literature. To the best of our knowledge, IHPP with Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) has not yet been described. CASE SUMMARY A 35-year-old male presented with abdominal pain, vomiting and anorexia, followed by severe swelling of the lower body after 4 d. The morphological assessment (using computed tomography revealed the presence of a huge cyst of 18.28 cm × 10.34 cm under the liver capsule accompanied by a large amount of ascites. Percutaneous puncture allowed us to detect a high level of amylase in the collection, confirming the diagnosis of IHPP. The cyst was treated by percutaneous drainage, producing complete resolution of the cyst. CONCLUSION IHPP can be treated with percutaneous drainage, endoscopic drainage, surgery or even conservative treatment, depending on the specific condition. We recommend percutaneous drainage as the first choice of treatment when IHPP with secondary BCS.

A temperature sensor based on erbium-doped fiber cascaded peanut taper (EDFCPT) structure in fiber ring laser (FRL) cavity is proposed and studied. The cascaded peanut structure was fabricated by erbium-doped fiber. The cladding mode and core mode interference and the strong thermo-optical effect of erbium-doped fiber were used to realize the high sensitivity measurement of temperature. The mode interference and thermal sensitivity effects of EDFCPT in a broadband super-continuous light source and a fiber ring laser cavity were studied and compared experimentally. Besides, Erbium-doped fiber cascaded peanut (EDFCP) structure was designed to compare performance with EDFCPT. The experimental results show that EDFCPT has a higher signal to noise ratio (SNR) (~50dB) and a narrower 3-dB bandwidth (~0.12nm) than the broadband light source. Among them, the temperature sensitivity of EDFCPT is 571pm/°C which is two times higher than the EDFCP (~249nm/°C) structure at range from 5°C-55°C. The proposed temperature sensor has the advantages of high sensitivity, good repeatability, simple fabrication, compact structure, etc. It has a good application prospect in the field of aerospace and life health monitoring.

Patients who received more than two treatment measures were assigned to the MDT group (n=228), and patients who received symptomatic medical drug treatment only were assigned to the traditional treatment group (n=79). The follow-up period ranged from 4 to 10 years, and the average follow-up period was 5.7 years. The results of the biochemical tests for hepatitis B virus deoxyribonucleic acid, hepatitis C virus ribonucleic acid, and autoantibodies to liver disease were analyzed.Results: The differences in gender and Child–Pugh grade of liver function between the two groups were not statistically significant. The MDT group had obvious advantages over the traditional treatment group in occupational composition, etiology composition, 5-year survival rate and annual hospitalization times. The leading causes of death in the MDT group, in descending order, were liver cancer, infection, mesenteric thrombosis, and non-hepatic disease, and, in the medical treatment group, they were liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, infection, and liver cancer. There was a significant statistical difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). In the multidisciplinary treatment, etiological treatment was the most widely used treatment, accounting for 79.8%, followed by endoscopic treatment (33.3%), peritoneal drainage and ascites reinfusion (25%), splenectomy combined with devascularization (11.4%) and stem cell transplantation and liver transplantation (1.8%).Conclusion: An MDT can improve the efficacy and prognosis of patients with cirrhosis and improve patient compliance. Objective To observe whether wrist-ankle acupuncture can reduce propofol dosage in painless bronchoscopy of elderly patients or not and its potential effect mechanism. Methods A total of 60 patients undergoing painless bronchoscopy were randomized into a wrist-ankle acupuncture group and a control group, 30 cases in each one. In the wrist-ankle acupuncture group, wrist-ankle acupuncture was received and the needles were retained for 30 min before entering to the operating room. In the control group, no any intervention was provided. The patients in two groups all received venous administration of midazolam, nalorphine and lidocaine and target controlled infusion of propofol. When the patient's consciousness was lost and the eyelash reflex disappeared, bronchoscopy was performed and the propofol dosage was increased accordingly during operation. Propofol dosage, vital signs and occurrence of adverse reactions, bronchoscopist satisfaction, operation time and recovering time were recorded in the patients of two groups. Results Propofol dosage in induction period and the total dosage of propofol in the wrist-ankle acupuncture group were lower than those in the control group, indicating the statistical differences (both P Conclusion In painless bronchoscopy, wrist-ankle acupuncture may effectively reduce propofol dosage, alleviate respiratory suppression, reduce adverse reaction and shorten the recovering time in elderly patients.

Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is a novel antidiabetic agent used in clinical practice. Recently, it was reported to exert a renoprotective effect in the human kidney-2 cells and kidneys of diabetic rats, which was induced by one type of GLP-1 analog, liraglutide, in the presence of high glucose. However, most of the previous findings mainly focused on its indirect effect in inhibiting the advanced glycation end products. Here, besides glycemic control, we also demonstrated a stimulatory role of liraglutide in promoting autophagy and relieving oxidative stress in Zucker diabetic fatty rats. The renoprotective effect of liraglutide has been demonstrated by significantly decreasing urinary albumin ( P < 0.01) and ameliorating renal pathological changes ( P < 0.001) in vivo. Besides that, proliferation of human epithelial kidney cell line HKC-8 and human embryonic kidney-293 cells has increased after treating with exendin-4, a GLP-1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist. Moreover, GLP-1 could positively improve the progression of autophagy in vivo and in vitro through regulating the autophagy-related protein light chain 3 and p62 via AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK)-mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway. Simultaneously, it could reverse NF-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2) translocation into the nuclei and suppress oxidative stress. In terms of mechanism, the renoprotective effect of GLP-1 would be exerted via the GLP-1R-AMPK-mTOR-autophagy-reactive oxygen species signaling axis. The present study not only illustrates the renoprotective effect of GLP-1 in diabetic kidney disease (DKD) rats, but also for the first time elucidates the underlying mechanism that is independent of controlling glucose, which implies that GLP-1 might be a novel therapeutic strategy for the prevention and treatment of DKD.

China has become one of the countries with the most severe smog pollution, especially in winter. Many local governments had to take various measures to combat the smog. The driving restriction is one of the policies being widely implemented throughout the country, but the actual effect has been controversial. Over 30 cities in China adopted the driving restriction policy in winter specifically in recent years. In this study, regression discontinuity (RD) method is applied to 16 cities to study whether the policy was effective or not and to find out the reason behind. It is found that (1) the effect has shown differences in different cities, in Cangzhou, Linfen and Shijiazhuang, the policy was effective on winter smog control, while it was ineffective in Luoyang, Tangshan, Xinyang and Zhoukou. (2) High proportion of secondary industry in GDP and inconvenient public transport system has inhibitory effect on the effectiveness of the driving policy. (3) Population density, GDP, the proportion of urban green area and driving restriction intensity have no significant impact on the effectiveness of the driving restriction policy. (4) In terms of meteorological factors, average temperature, rainfall, wind speed and air pressure have a negative impact on PM2.5, while humidity has a positive impact on PM2.5.

Irisin is a novel hormone-like myokine that plays an important role in central nervous system (CNS) diseases, such as cerebral ischaemia and Alzheimer's disease. However, irisin is rarely investigated in multiple sclerosis (MS), a typical inflammatory demyelinating disease of the CNS, and in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a typical model of MS. We determined the levels of irisin in the serum and cerebrospinal fluid in patients with MS. The expression and histological distribution of irisin were determined in EAE. Serum irisin levels in patients with MS and in EAE mice were increased, and the levels of FNDC5/irisin mRNA were decreased in the spinal cord and brain regardless of the onset, peak or chronic phase of EAE. Immunofluorescence staining showed co-localization of irisin and neurones. The levels of irisin fluctuated with disease progression in MS and EAE. Irisin may be involved in the pathological process of MS/EAE.

This paper presents a new method for adaptive continuous nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode control (ACNFTSMC) based on a novel structure-improved extended state observer (SIESO) for fault-tolerant control (FTC). In response to the initial peaking phenomenon in traditional ESO (TESO), which can severely degrade the accuracy and stability of the control system, The SIESO is designed to replace TESO to estimate the lump disturbances/faults. Besides, to address the problem of the unknown estimation error of ESO, an adaptive technique is applied to compensate for the observation error in real-time. To guarantee fast convergence and chattering-free, the CNFTSMC method is employed. Afterward, the stability and rapid convergence of the control system is demonstrated using Lyapunov theory. Finally, the simulation results verify the superiority of the proposed control strategy compared to the other existing advanced control techniques.
