Background No clinical study has investigated the use of ceftazidime-avibactam combination schemes with an in vitro non-susceptible antimicrobial that could be superior to ceftazidime-avibactam monotherapy against carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae. Methods We performed a retrospective cohort study at two tertiary hospitals in China for patients with carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae infection treated with ceftazidime-avibactam for at least 72 h. A Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to evaluate covariates that potentially affected 30-day mortality. Results Sixty-two patients were eligible for our study; 41 (66.1%) received ceftazidime-avibactam combination therapy and 21 (33.9%) received ceftazidime-avibactam monotherapy. The overall 30-day mortality was 33.9% (21 patients): 24.4% (10/41) and 47.6% (11/21), P = 0.028, in combination and monotherapy groups, respectively. Combination therapy was significantly associated with lower 30-day mortality (Hazard ratio, 0.167; 95% Confidence Interval, 0.060–0.465, P = 0.001). At the same time, a higher APACHE II score, use of vasoactive drugs and comorbidity of organ transplantation were considered factors that increased mortality. The propensity score showed no significant alterations with other variables after adding it to the final model. In the subgroup analysis, the protective effect was revealed when combined with carbapenems, tigecycline or fosfomycin were applied, and in the following subgroups of patients: with sepsis, with creatinine clearance > 50 mL/min, stayed in the intensive care unit ≤ 30 days or underwent mechanical ventilation. Conclusions Ceftazidime-avibactam combined with another in vitro non-susceptible antimicrobial, especially carbapenems, fosfomycin and tigecycline, could significantly decrease the 30-day mortality rate for critically ill patients with carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae infection. Further investigation should be carried out to confirm this conclusion and identify autofit antimicrobials in ceftazidime-avibactam combination schemes.

Background and purpose The MRI-assessed tumor regression grade (mrTRG) is limited due to its subjectivity and poor consistency on pathological tumor regression grade (pTRG). A new MRI criterion was established to predict the prognosis of locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). Materials and methods The new MRI criterion magnetic resonance imaging tumor response score (mrTRS) was based on the retrospective sample of 214 LARC patients (unpublished data). Subsequently, 878 LARC patients were enrolled for a prospective, multicenter study. Baseline and postoperative MRI were obtained, and imaging features were measured by collecting the pathological, clinical and follow-up data. Kaplan-Meier method with log-rank estimate and multivariate cox regression model was used to determine the prognosis of mrTRS in LARC patients with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NACRT). The predictive capability of 3-year prognosis between mrTRS and mrTRG was determined by time-dependent ROC curves. Results The results demonstrated that mrTRS acted as an independent predictor of survival outcomes. mrTRS stratified by good and moderate responders showed significantly lower risk of death (HR = 0.04, 95%CI 0.01–0.31; HR = 0.35, 95%CI 0.23–0.52), distant metastasis (HR = 0.25, 95%CI 0.13–0.52; HR = 0.42, 95%CI 0.30–0.58), and local recurrence when compared with poor responders(HR = 0.01 95%CI 0.23–0.52;HR = 0.38, 95%CI 0.16–0.90). In contrast, no significant difference was observed among mrTRG stratified groups. Excellent and substantial interobserver agreement for mrTRS and mrTRG evaluation was observed (κ = 0.92 and 0.62), respectively. Conclusion mrTRS can serve as an effective predictor for assessing tumor regression grade in LARC patients with NACRT.

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common tumors. Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is the first choice of treatment for intermediate HCC and an important treatment option for advanced HCC. This retrospective study compared the prognosis between patients showing coagulative necrosis and patients showing liquefactive necrosis after the first TACE procedure. MATERIAL AND METHODS We divided 171 patients with Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) Stage B or C HCC into 2 groups; a coagulative necrosis group (79 patients) and a liquefactive necrosis group (92 patients). The coagulative and liquefactive necroses were identified by computed tomography after the first TACE procedure. Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to identify the differences in the overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) between the 2 groups, and the associated risk factors and safety of TACE were analyzed. RESULTS The median OS durations were 23.27±1.40 months and 8.83±2.15 months (P=0.004) and the median PFS durations were 9.33±0.96 months and 3.70±0.44 months (P=0.002) in the coagulative necrosis and liquefactive necrosis groups, respectively. In heart failure (HF) patients, diuretics remain the cornerstone of therapy to relieve fluid retention. However, the resulting volume loss activates the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), which blunts the decline in volume depletion and blood pressure. RAAS activation, in turn, compromises the diuretic decongesting effect. Although corticosteroids can induce potent diuresis in HF patients, the effects of corticosteroids on RAAS activation remain unclear. Therefore, we assessed the effects of dexamethasone (Dex) on urine output and plasma angiotensin II and aldosterone levels in rats following water deprivation-induced dehydration, following induction of chronic HF (CHF), and following induction of CHF and volume expansion therapy. In the dehydration model, Dex significantly increased urine output and inhibited dehydration-induced RAAS activation. This favorable effect was abolished by the glucocorticoid receptor antagonist RU486, suggesting involvement of the glucocorticoid receptor. In the CHF model, Dex treatments doubled urine output without activating RAAS. Moreover, in acute volume expansion experiments, Dex pretreatments led to potent diuresis during the pretreatment period and restored renal adaptation to acute volume expansion without activating RAAS in rats with CHF. Collectively, these data show that corticosteroids induce potent diuresis without activating RAAS in rats.

This study was aimed at determining whether late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) in conjunction with Galectin-3 (Gal-3) level offered more precise prognosis of non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM) in comparison to LGE alone. Results of LGE and Gal-3 expression in 192 patients with NICM, including 85 subjects with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and 107 with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), were examined. As suggested by the characteristics of LGE and Gal-3 levels, patients were divided into four groups: LGE positive + low Gal-3 (n = 10 for DCM, n = 15 for HCM), LGE positive + high Gal-3 (n = 25 for DCM, n = 51 for HCM), LGE negative + low Gal-3 (n = 32 for DCM, n = 29 for HCM), LGE negative + high Gal-3 (n = 18 for DCM, n = 12 for HCM). Primary endpoints over the follow-up period included major adverse cardiac events (MACEs). Kaplan–Meier survival analysis and univariate Cox proportional hazard models were used to analyze the survival status of patients with NICM. The optimal cut-off value of Gal-3 level for two types of NICM was determined by receiver operating characteristic analysis (13.38 U/L for DCM and 14.40 U/L for HCM). The combination of LGE and Gal-3 levels offered a more significant prognostic value than using LGE alone for both DCM and HCM (DCM P = 0.001

Objectives To determine whether 3-dimensional (3D) speckle-tracking echocardiography could provide a new way to assess myocardial viability in patients with myocardial infarction (MI). Methods Forty-five patients with MI underwent routine echocardiography, 2-dimensional (2D) speckle-tracking echocardiography, and 3D speckle-tracking echocardiography. Radionuclide myocardial perfusion/metabolic imaging was used as a reference standard to define viable and nonviable myocardia. Results Among 720 myocardial segments in 45 patients, 368 showed abnormal motion on routine echocardiography; 204 of 368 were categorized as viable on single-photon emission computed tomography/positron emission tomography (SPECT/PET), whereas 164 were defined as nonviable; 300 normal segments on SPECT/PET among 352 segments without abnormal motion on routine echocardiography were categorized as a control group. The radial, longitudinal, 3D, and area strain on 3D speckle-tracking echocardiography had significant differences between control and nonviable groups (P < .001), whereas none of the parameters had significant differences between control and viable groups. There were no significant differences in circumferential, radial, and longitudinal peak systolic strain from 2D speckle-tracking echocardiography between viable and nonviable groups. Although there was no significant difference in circumferential strain between the groups, radial and longitudinal strain from 3D speckle-tracking echocardiography decreased significantly in the nonviable group. Moreover, 3D and area strain values were lower in the nonviable segments than the viable segments. By receiver operating characteristic analysis, radial strain from 3D speckle-tracking echocardiography with a cutoff of 11.1% had sensitivity of 95.1% and specificity of 53.4% for viable segments; longitudinal strain with a cutoff of 14.3% had sensitivity of 65.2% and specificity of 65.7%; 3D strain with a cutoff of 17.4% had sensitivity of 70.6% and specificity of 77.2%; and area strain with a cutoff of 23.2% had sensitivity of 91.5% and specificity of 82.8%. Conclusions Three-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography might have potential for detection of myocardial viability in patients with cardiac dysfunction due to MI.

PIG3 is a target of the tumor suppressor p53 and is thought to be involved in p53-mediated cell apoptosis. Although PIG3 is similar to oxidoreductases involved in generating ROS, whether PIG3 would regulate HIF-1α was never characterized directly. Here we demonstrated that knockdown of PIG3 by transfecting with specific siRNA could increase the expression of HIF-1α in several human cancer cell lines, including CAKI, FTC-133 and A549. It indicates that PIG3 may be involved in the regulation of HIF-1α. Furthermore, we revealed that PIG3-siliencing increased HIF-1α protein level through promoting its protein biosynthesis via mTOR pathway. In addition, the effect of PIG3 on the production of HIF-1α was further related to VEGF secretion and cell migration. PIG3-downregulation increased the secretion of VEGF and promoted the migration of renal cancer cells obviously. Taken together, these data suggest that PIG3 was involved in HIF-1α regulation, and reveal a novel signaling pathway of PIG3/HIF-1α in the regulation of cell migration in renal cell carcinoma.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is believed to be involved in numerous physiological and pathophysiological processes, and now it is recognized as the third endogenous signaling gasotransmitter, following nitric oxide and carbon monoxide; however, the effects of H2S on inflammatory factors in acute myocardial ischemia injury in rats have not been clarified. In the present study, sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) was used as the H2S donor. Thirty-six male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups: Sham, ischemia, ischemia + low-dose (0.78 mg/kg) NaHS, ischemia + medium-dose (1.56 mg/kg) NaHS, ischemia + high-dose (3.12 mg/kg) NaHS and ischemia + propargylglycine (PPG) (30 mg/kg). The rats in each group were sacrificed 6 h after the surgery for sample collection. Compared with the ischemia group, the cardiac damage in the rats in the ischemia + NaHS groups was significantly reduced, particularly in the high-dose group; in the ischemia + PPG group, the myocardial injury was aggravated compared with that in the ischemia group. Compared with the ischemia group, the levels of interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the serum of rats in the ischemia + medium- and high-dose NaHS groups were significantly reduced, and the expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) mRNA and nuclear factor κ-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) protein in the myocardial tissues of rats was significantly reduced. In the ischemia + PPG group, the TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 levels in the serum were significantly increased, the expression of ICAM-1 mRNA was increased, although without a significant difference, and the expression of NF-κB was increased. The findings of the present study provide novel evidence for the dual effects of H2S on acute myocardial ischemia injury via the modulation of inflammatory factors.

Traditional optical frequency conversion model is well improved in this work. In terms of the dyadic Green's function method, a set of coupled-amplitude equations is reduced under a proposed transition layer assumption, accompanying the simultaneous integral equations. The model, as a generalization of the current frequency conversion theory, is aimed at any one-dimensional thin film or bulk nonlinear structure, allowing for arbitrary optical anisotropy and absorption without pumping and propagating limitations. The assumption reasonably simplifies the strict nonlinear boundary conditions and enables the equations to yield exact radiative field solutions. A field-enhanced phase-matching configuration is designed for second harmonic generation in a lossy $\ensuremath{\epsilon}$-near-zero material. The high contrast of refractive indices between a substrate (silicon) and the material traps the harmonic wave inside and constructs a natural mirror reflection waveguide. A simulation in the lowest guided mode predicts an efficiency enhancement proportional to the relative wave impedance to the fifth power under a resonant condition.

A novel palmprint recognition method based on sparse two-dimensional local discriminant projections (S2DLDP) is proposed. After a description of the basic theory and resolution method for S2DLDP, the paper presents the detail palmprint feature extraction method based on S2DLDP, and tests the algorithm performance by various non-zero elements size and neighborhood size. S2DLDP considerers the class information, local separability, two-dimensional image inherent properties of training samples and sparse projection, which provides an intuitive, semantic and interpretable feature subspace for palmprint representation. The optimal recognition accuracy of EER=2.2% is obtained on PolyU palmprint database, which also illuminates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Disassembly and assembly is the key process in hydraulic cylinder remanufacturing. The construction machinery hydraulic cylinder disassembly and assembly equipment is developed. Hydraulic power is adopted in this equipment. The clamping, positioning of cylinder tube is realized by hydraulic clamping mechanism automatically. The piston component pulling out or into cylinder tube is realized by hydraulic working mechanism automatically. This equipment has been applied successfully in the project of "key technology and equipment for construction machinery parts remanufacturing" in a research institute. The results indicate that the application of this equipment will not only increase the automaticity and efficiency remarkably, but also reduce the damage to hydraulic cylinder key part greatly.

Traditional textile dyeing industry, which is always based on open-loop control strategy, has the problem of high energy consumption and serious pollution because it is difficult to deal with the direct control problem of the dyeing process. Based on the multi-variable dyeing uptake rate integration model, this paper proposed a closed loop control system using Generalized Prediction Variable Structure Control (GPVSC) algorithm. The integrated model is used as the soft measurement method of the whole closed loop control system, which can solve the problem that it is hard to measure dyeing uptake rate directly during the batch dyeing process. In the aspect of control algorithm, the Generalized Prediction Controller (GPC) was combined with Variable Structure Control (VSC), where the temperature was selected as the control variable, which achieved the control of the dyeing uptake rate during the batch dyeing process. Simulation results show that the algorithm could exactly track and control the dyeing uptake rate during the batch dyeing process.

Dyeing textile’s information management system is the basis of accurate classification of color， machine studying methods have became a popular area of research for application in color classification. Traditional classification methods have high efficiency and are very simple ， but they are dependent on the distribution of sample spaces. If the sample data properties are not independent， forecast precision will been affected badly and internal instability will appear. An application of Gray-Relation for dyeing textile color classification has been designed， which offsets the discount in mathematical statistics method for system analysis. It is applicable regardless of variant in sample size， while quantizing structure is in agreement with qualitative analysis. On the basis of theoretical analysis， Dyeing textile color classification was conducted in the conditions of random sampling、 uniform sampling and stratified sampling. The experimental results proofs that by using Gray-Relation， dyeing textile color classification does not need to be dependent on sample space distribution， and increases the stability of classification.

The charge plan is a basic problem of the metallurgical industry. Through a comprehensive consideration of the process constraints and production costs, charge plan is a typical multi-objective optimization problem. A multi-objective optimization model of charge plan was built in this paper. As direct encoding is hard to be used in the many constraints problem case, a new method of generate feasible solutions based on constraint satisfaction was proposed. A novel adaptive grid algorithm was also proposed to improve the current multi-objective evolutionary algorithm’s population maintain strategy. Finally, the proposed multi-objective charge plan model was solved, and more meaningful solutions for this problem were obtained.

Clinical studies have shown that large doses of prednisone could lower serum uric acid (SUA) in patients with decompensated heart failure (HF); however, the optimal dose of prednisone and underlying mechanisms are unknown. Thirty-eight patients with decompensated HF were randomized to receive standard HF care alone (n = 10) or with low-dose (15 mg/day, n = 8), medium-dose (30 mg/day, n = 10), or high-dose prednisone (60 mg/day, n = 10), for 10 days. At the end of the study, only high-dose prednisone significantly reduced SUA, whereas low- and medium-dose prednisone and standard HF care had no effect on SUA. The reduction in SUA in high-dose prednisone groups was associated with a significant increase in renal uric acid clearance. In conclusion, prednisone can reduce SUA levels by increasing renal uric acid clearance in patients with decompensated HF.

A new structure of a-Si/ poly-Si tandem solar cell has been desiged and prepared. Amorphous silicon has been use as photovoltaic material of bottom cell. And polysilicon has been used as photovoltaic material of bottom cell.The combination of amorphous silicon and polysilicon extends the light range which can be used by solar cell. This structure improves the efficiency of solar cell greatly.

Metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) structure is highly sensitive to SiO2-Si interface. It will reflect parameters such as interface density and oxide layer charge expediently. For the sake of researching of radiation effect of MOS structure irradiated by electron, we adopted 0.8 MeV electron at dosage between 2×1013cm-2~1×1014cm-2as radiation source respectively. We found that electron radiation will induce interface density at SiO2-Si interface. According to comparison with C-V curve of MOS structure at high frequency and low frequency, we obtain that the experimental data of interface density is up to 1014(cm-2eV-1). In addition, we also obtain the relationship between the parameter and radiation dosage.

The paper make the service life of relieving formed milling cutter as the optimization objective, proceed the simulation study on the mechanical degree of cutter, cutting data. The concrete method is that the orthogonal milling model is established to simulate the simulation milling process, some basic parameters which are obtained in the machining process are analyzed and discussed. The results indicate that the finite element simulation of the metal cutting processing can analyze quantitatively some physical properties, such as the cutting force, stress, strain and so on, the traditional way of qualitative analysis is changed. The state of machining is in favour of grasping in the theory, the theory and technology are provided to establish the proper processing technology strategy.

The aim of the present study was to assess the effect of nano-biphasic calcium phosphate (nanoBCP) scaffolds on acute alveolar bone defects in beagle dogs by micro-computed tomographic imaging (μCT). Alveolar bone defects were surgically created bilaterally at the buccal aspects of the upper second premolars in four beagle dogs. After root conditioning with ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA), nanoBCP was randomly filled in the defects and nothing was put into the contralateral defects as controls. Dogs were killed at the 24th weeks. Specimens were scanned and reconstructed though μCT. The results revealed that much new alveolar bone formed in the defects in the nanoBCP groups while no new alveolar bone formed in the controls. The present results indicate that PBCP may enhance alveolar bone regeneration in acute-type labial dehiscence defects.

Based on the monitoring data of the deep foundation pit, established an adjacent deep foundation pit safety risk fuzzy synthetic evaluation model, and then determine safety grades , using the method to evaluate the safety of the environment surrounding the foundation pit. Practice proves that the method can reflect the risk condition of the pit, and provided a new way to check the security of the pit.

In order to dominate the lighting market, LED needs more electrical power to be driven for higher brightness, thereby increasing thermal power dissipation, which contributes to a high heat flux of 85W/cm2 within a recent typical high power LED chip. And the junction temperature has direct influence upon the light output efficiency, device life time, emitting wavelength and reliability of LED. Therefore, effective removal of heat to maintain a safe junction temperature is the key to meet the future flux per LED requirements. Compared with other individual thermal resistances along the thermal path, thermal design for much lower packaging thermal resistance is more critical to improve the performances of LED. In this paper, major present technical researches on packaging thermal management were analyzed for high power LED, and the advantages and shortcomings of these techniques were respectively summarized. Besides, some suggestions were provided for further research in this area.

Severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) can result in intestinal mucosal injury. This study aimed to demonstrate the protective effect of clodronate-containing liposomes on intestinal mucosal injury in rats with SAP.Liposomes containing clodronate or phosphate buffered saline (PBS) were prepared by the thin-film method. SAP models were prepared by a uniform injection of sodium taurocholate (2 mL/kg body weight) into the subcapsular space of the pancreas. Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a control group (C group), a SAP plus PBS-containing liposomes group (P group) and a SAP plus clodronate-containing liposomes group (T group). At 2 and 6 hours after the establishment of SAP models, 2 mL blood samples were taken from the superior mesenteric vein to measure the contents of serum TNF-alpha and IL-12. Pathological changes in the intestine and pancreas were observed using hematoxylin and eosin staining, while apoptosis was detected using TUNEL staining. In addition, the macrophage markers cluster of differentiation 68 (CD68) in the intestinal tissue was assessed with immunohistochemistry.At the two time points, the levels of TNF-alpha and IL-12 in the P group were higher than those in the C group (P0.05). Compared with the P group, the levels of TNF-alpha and IL-12 decreased in the T group (P0.05). The pathological scores of the intestinal mucosa and pancreas in the T group were lower than those of the P group. In the T group, large numbers of TUNEL-positive cells were observed, but none or few in the C and P groups. The number of CD68-positive macrophages decreased in the T group.Clodronate-containing liposomes have protective effects against intestinal mucosal injury in rats with SAP. The blockade of macrophages may provide a novel therapeutic strategy in SAP.

In the paper, a model is developed to discribe the band gap energy of Ⅲ nitride alloys. A new parameter A is used to discribe the band gap bowing. The new bowing parameter A is obtained by fitting the experimental values of the band gap energy. AAlGaN =0.46, AInGaN =0.59 and AInAlN =1.90 are obtained by fitting the experimental values of the band gap energy for AlGaN, InGaN and InAlN, respectively. The model is also suitable to discribe the band gap energy of other Ⅲ-Ⅴ ternary alloys.

Prestressed concrete double Tee floor slabs are widely used for the roof of building construction. Some problems are met during the development practice of this type of precast structures. Firstly, the overhang flange of the traditional double Tee floor slab is not enough large in the view of economic and utilization. Secondly, it is not easy to dispose the skylights on the roof used double Tee floor slabs in the workshops or the gymnasiums. Thirdly, most of the beams are produced in prestressing plants, but very few productions are made in site. Therefore, a new type of prestressed concrete double Tee floor slabs have been designed with some characters such as 3.0-m outside flange, flange slabs with rectangular opening holes for the skylights or not, and the beams produced in the prestressing plants with pre-tensioning prestressing tendons or post-tensioning with the strands in site.

In this paper how to utilize industrial wastes in soil stabilizer preparation with high added value is discussed. Firstly the characteristics of stabilized soil structure formation process and its special demand of stabilizer components were explored. Based on this, the design thought for the soil stabilizer prepared with industrial wastes is proposed and the examples are presented. Then technical, economical and environmental comprehensive index is analysed. Only if stabilized soil structure formation process was understood deeply and industrial waste was chosen properly according to the special demand of stabilized soil structure to components, the change from waste to resource can be realized. The FEM mehods for simulating the penetration of jacked pile were summarized. Using the displacement penetration method, the complete uninterrupted penetrating process of jacked pile was simulated with the finite element method based on ANSYS. The soil’s displacement and stress field were obtained, and compared with the field test. The elastoplastic constitution law, large deformation, soil’s gravity field and pile-soil friction contact were taken into account. The difficulties and skills in the simulation were indicated, so it might be helpful to the other researchers.

Adverse reactions induced by Chinese herbal injections have been frequently reported. However, the precise causes of these adverse reactions are not yet fully understood. The aim of the present study was to determine the role of chlorogenic acid (a ubiquitous component of Chinese herbs) in the toxicity of Chinese herbal injections. Beagle dogs were given chlorogenic acid, Yuxingcao injection, or Qingkailing injection (the latter two both containing chlorogenic acid) by intravenous (i.v.) injection, once a day for 7 or 9 days. The systemic toxicity was evaluated. An additional ultrastructural observation on liver and kidney was performed. Anaphylactoid reactions were obvious in dogs treated with Yuxingcao injection. Varying degrees of ultrastructural changes in liver and kidney were observed in the treated dogs, especially in dogs treated with Chinese herbal injections. Our study has led to the view that chlorogenic acid is not an allergen when administrated by i.v. injection, but liver and kidney injury induced by Chinese herbal injections can be partly attributed to chlorogenic acid.

Designing optimal formulations for automotive waterborne basecoats can be fairly complex, often requiring knowledge of events that occur at the molecular level. The ultimate performance of the coating can depend upon the success with which this knowledge is applied. We examine a system in which an aqueous dispersion of an acrylic latex with -OH functionality reacts with a melamine derivative when heated. We use fluorescence-labeling and energy transfer measurements to obtain information on the relative rates of crosslinking and interparticle polymer diffusion in these films. We show that temperature and particle morphology play an important role in the development of film properties. Finally, these energy transfer experiments provide information on the location of the melamine-formaldehyde resin in the dry film before the onset of crosslinking. This system can serve as a model for waterborne basecoat development in many automotive applications.

Purpose: To investigate whether paeonol affords neuroprotection against isoflurane-induced neurotoxicity. Methods: Separate groups of neonatal rat pups were administered paeonol (20, 40 or 80 mg/kg) from post-natal day 3 (P3) to post-natal day 15. On post-natal day 7, the pups were exposed to 6 h of isoflurane (0.75 %) anesthesia. TUNEL assay was performed to assess neuroapoptosis. Cleaved caspase-3 expressions were evaluated by immunohistochemistry and western blotting analysis. The expressions of apoptotic pathway proteins and mitogen activated protein kinases (MAPKs) were assessed by western blotting. The general behaviour of the rats was determined by open field test and elevated maze test. Y-maze test and Morris water maze tests were performed to evaluate working memory and cognition. Results: Isoflurane exposure caused (p < 0.05) severe neuronal apoptosis in the hippocampal region and enhanced caspase-3 expressions. Paeonol supplementation remarkably (p < 0.05) reduced neuronal apoptosis and modulated expressions of apoptotic proteins. The raised expressions of NF-κB, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β and significantly (p < 0.05) enhanced JNK/p38 signalling cascades were inhibited by paeonol. The expression levels of ERK were not significantly (p < 0.05) changed, but there was significant improvement in the general behaviour and working memory of the rats. Conclusion: Paeonol significantly improves cognitive impairments and offers neuroprotection against isoflurane-induced apoptosis via modulating JNK/ERK/p38 MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways. The fast developing mobile technology has been explored by a few scientists including psychologists in their research. Post-Trauma Mobile Service platform (PTMS) is a platform based on mobile phone, which delivers psychotherapy and related information. Users could evaluate their psychological status, get feedback and customize psychotherapy intervention materials as soon as their psychological test finished. The second part of this article is to evaluate PTMS in effectiveness, usability, feasibility and willingness to use PTMS. The descriptive analysis shows that most users enjoy using PTMS, consider it feasible and show great willingness to use in the future. It is suggested by one-way ANOVA analysis that compared with other users, physical disabled users think that PTMS is more effective and feasible, which may implicate that PTMS, as an adjunct of professional psychotherapy, should be offered to those who need psychological service.

TIn our previous work, room temperature ferromagnetism of GaMnN thin films with different Mn concentrations were grown on c-sapphire substrates by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). Compared with GaN, the results of optical absorption spectra for the GaMnN samples were shown that a peak of absorption can be observed near 1.44eV, and the absorption coefficient increased with the increase of the Mn content. In this paper, electronic structure and optical properties for several Mn concentrations doping GaN were calculated using density functional theory. The theoretical data were in excellent agreement with the experimental results. Associated with theoretical data, the peak of absorption near 1.44eV is assigned to P5PTB2B??P5PE internal transition between the e state and the tB2B state of MnP3+P ion.

Based on the concept of distributed Bayesian rough set model proposed in this paper, the reliability rules and the minimum risk function are obtained. By means of the minimum risk Bayesian decision, the classification rules for a new TCMI (Traditional Chinese Medicine Injection) are proposed.

BACKGROUND: Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (TREM-1) in the intestine was upregulated and correlated with disease activity in inflammatory bowel diseases. Membranebound TREM-1 protein is increased in the pancreas, liver and kidneys of patients with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP), suggesting that TREM-1 may act as an important mediator of infl ammation and subsequent extra-pancreatic organ injury. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the expression of TREM-1 in intestinal tissue and intestinal barrier dysfunction in SAP. METHODS: Sixty-four male Wistar rats were randomly divided into a sham operation group (SO group, n=32) and a SAP group ( n=32). A SAP model was established by retrograde injection of 5% sodium deoxycholate into the bile-pancreatic duct. Specimens were taken from blood and intestinal tissue 2, 6, 12, and 48 hours after operation respectively. The levels of D-lactate, diamine oxidase (DAO) and endotoxin in serum were measured using an improved spectro-photometric method. The expression levels of TREM-1, interleukin-1" (IL-1"), and tumor necrosis factor-# (TNF-#) mRNA in terminal ileum were detected by real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Specimens of the distal ileum were taken to determine pathological changes by a validated histology score. According to the problem of low stable system, not high test circuit integration, unitary measured data,and data easy to lose in testing overpressure signal during the explosion,methods of stored testing and measuring by using Internal and external control trigger modeare presented. In this method, the explosion signal is collected and memoried by two channels at the same time. The first channel to capture the signal changes in the value of trigger signals, and the data stored in memory channel 1; the second channel used the explosion of ammunition as external interrupt to control signal collecting,and the data stored in memory channel 2. Analysis and tests show that the combination of two memory testing methods is able to maximize the impact of reduced external interference signals; the data is stored in nonvolatile memory during the data collection process and kept real time, which can effectively improve the reliability of a single test and maximize the system availability.

Aims Cinnarizine, a piperazine derivative, is currently used for the treatment of cerebral thrombosis, cerebral arteriosclerosis, subarachnoid hemorrhage and some other diseases. However, it exhibits variable dissolution and low bioavailability after oral administration. Cinnarizine for injection was developed in order to enhance its bioavailability and make the practice more convenient for patients suffering from dysphagia. The aim of the present study was to compare the pharmacokinetics and toxicokinetics of cinnarizine following intravenous and oral administration in dogs and provide scientific basis for the development of cinnarizine for injection. Methods Beagle dogs were given single- or multiple-dose of cinnarizine by oral (single-dose: 10 mg/kg; multiple-dose: 21.5, 12.9, 4.3 mg/kg) and intravenous (single-dose: 10 mg/kg; multiple-dose: 10, 6, 2 mg/kg) routes. HPLC was applied to detect the plasma concentration of cinnarizine. The pharmacokinetics and toxicokinetics parameters were calculated and compared. Results The pharmacokinetics of cinnarizine following oral administration in dogs was found to fit the one-compartment mode. That of cinnarizine following intravenous injection in dogs was found to fit the two-compartment model. The relative bioavailability of oral administration was 46.4%. Cinnarizine cumulated significantly in dogs when 10 mg/kg cinnarizine was injected repeatedly. Multiple-dose of cinnarizine over 6 mg/kg induced reversible kidney injury in dogs. Conclusion The present study indicates that pharmacokinetics and toxicokinetics properties of cinnarizine for injection show advantages over the oral preparation. But caution should be taken with the cumulative action when cinnarizine is injected and the dose of cinnarizine should be lower than 6 mg/kg.

This study was design to test the reliability and validity of test via mobile phone based platform (MPBT) administered into potential PTSD sufferings in Mianzhu, Sichuan province, and examine the equivalence with traditional paper-and-pencil test (PPT) counterpart and gender differences. In the case of Children's Revised Impact of Event Scale (CRIES), the MPBT form had acceptable psychometric properties, equivalence with PPT form and no gender differences. These results prove the application of mobile phone to assess and monitor the psychological state of users to be a useful and valid way.

Video codec technology like MPEG and improved performance of microprocessors enable environments to be setup in which large volumes of video images can be stored. The ability to perform search and retrieve operations on stored video is therefore becoming more important. This paper proposes a technique for performing mutual spotting retrieval between speech and video images in which either speech or video is used as a query to retrieve the other. This technique makes use of a network that self organizes itself incrementally and represents redundant structures in degenerate form, which makes for efficient searches. As a result, the capacity of a database can be decreased by about one half for speech and by about three fourths for video when expressed in network form. Applying this technique to a database consisting of six-hours worth of speech and video, it was found that a search from video to speech could be performed in 0.5 seconds per frame.
