In the present paper is presented a numerical simulation of an electro-hydro-mechanical system of adaptive transmission of mechanical power. This system is based on a hydraulic circuit consists of a hydraulic pump with constant flow and a hydraulic motor with variable flow ordered so that the pressure in the circuit to remain constant. For a variation of the ramp and step signal sources of loads, are presented the main features of operation of adaptive transmission. Analysis of dynamic stability of mechanical transmission is made through the linear analysis with Bode diagrams. Simulation of transmission operation is performed with AMESim.

The integrated system concept involves the development of the mechanization and automatization of the handling, transfer storage and assembly operations in process at the same level with the actual processing operations. For safe handling and to not introduce errors during a trial robot technology, the movement of the object to be manipulated and controlled before both gripper and attached equipment manufacturing plant so that the position of technology and technology base gripping be a unique link. The density and refractive index of diluted binary mixtures of active carbon and exfoliated graphite nanoplatelets dispersed in N,N-dimethylformamide were measured at different temperatures, and the ultrasound speed through these materials was determined. From the experimental results, acoustic parameters such as the acoustic impedance, isentropic compressibility, specific refraction, space-filling factor, and relaxation strength were estimated for all compositions and temperatures. The results were used to identify molecular interactions in the mixtures, including structural changes of exfoliated graphite nanoplatelets in polar solvents.

The new modular walking robots MERO by reconfiguring their architecture are built to displace the heavy loads on the unaligned terrain. The main characteristic of the modular walking robots is that they are able to move away on unarranged, horizontal and rough terrain The modular walking system protects much better the environment when its contact with the soil is discrete, a fact that limits appreciately the area that is crushed. The new modular walking robots may have a lower or higher autonomy degree. This autonomy has in view the power source's supply capability but also orientation and perception capabilities as regards the terrain configuration the robot is running upon and its decision making and the motion manner towards a target. Architecture of the reference structure of the walking robot has three two-legged modules. Every leg has three degrees of freedom (RRP), a slip sensor and tactile sensor to measure the contact which consists of lower and upper levels. The body of the MERO (MEchanism RObot) walking robot carries a gyroscopic bearing sensor to measure the pitch and roll angles of the platform. The legs are powered by hydraulic drives and are equipped with transducers and sensors. They are used to control the walking robot in the adaptability to a natural ground. Walking mechatronic systems protected much better the environment when their contact with the soil is discrete, a fact that limits appreciately the area that is crushed. In order to make and to control a walking robot, one needs the knowledge of all walking potentialities since the choice of the number of legs as well as of their structures depend on the type of gait that has been selected. In the Mobil Robots Laboratory of the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest, a four-legged modular mechatronic system has been built and tested, while a hexapod one is being tested.

The animals using their feet for walk can move freely, with substantive easiness in comparison with what the man-made robot can do. Animals’ locomotion is superior to that of the wheeled or caterpillared robot, both energetically and operationally speaking, as well as from the point of view of its stability, irrespective of the terrain the movement happens on. As compared to the Nature’s achievements, the Man, God’s pride, thanks to his cleverness and skills, succeeded to grasp many secrets of his creator, but he is still far from the Latter’s accomplishments. Never disheartened with failures Man has created instruments for permanent investigation and success has not failed to arrive. No matter what the previous generations imagined or not, the present one is creating things, that provide solutions to many of his strives and dreams, and this thank to the stored knowledge and the fresh opportunities of the technology which is in its full swing. Studying the simplest but the most important movement types, such as the man’s and the animals’ movement, has been the scientists’ most ancient preoccupation since the beginning of time. Mankind is so attached to the anthropomorphism, as it is almost impossible for it to conceive or imagine automatic systems, even equipped with artificial brain, which are not anthropomorphic. In order to reach areas hard to get to, and where Man’s life were jeopardized, the scientific research in time, and for different purposes, achieved mechanisms that thanks to their skills could cover several fields. Due to the special circumstances, regarding the vegetation and the terrain’s state, and viewing the environment protection, the wheeled or the caterpillar machines, aiming at such applications, have a restrained mobility and thus, they considerably destroy the environment, the vegetation, bushes and the young trees, when passing through. Walking robots represent a special category of robot, characterized by having the power source and technological equipment on-board the platform. A walking robot can traverse most natural terrains. The advantages of a legged system for off-road use have been gradually recognized. One of the most important advantages is mobility.
