Producing high-resolution urban land cover maps is essential for decision-making and urban management. In this regard, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), especially Polarimetric SAR (PolSAR), has served as a valuable data source to fulfill this task. Direct conversion of low-level features into high-level Land Cover (LC) concept may reduce the final classification accuracy. Therefore, mid-level representation models, such as Bag of Visual Words (BOVW), were employed to resolve the existing semantic gap challenge. In this paper, a Segment-based BOVW (Seg-BOVW) model was developed for urban land cover classification using PolSAR data. To this end, two PolSAR data over San Francisco Bay (SFB) and Flevoland (FL) acquired by RADARSAT-2 were employed to comprehensively evaluate the Seg-BOVW model's performance. First, to exploit the full potential of PolSAR data, 169 low-level features in four categories: (1) original, (2) polarimetric, (3) texture, and (4) decomposition features were extracted. Afterward, a Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm (MOGA) was implemented to investigate the importance of low-level features for urban land cover mapping. This step resulted in selecting 14 and 6 low-level features, as the high contributing features, for SFB and FL datasets, respectively. The Seg-BOVW model achieved significant overall accuracies of 96.02% and 98.82% for SFB and FL, respectively, indicating the high potential of the proposed method for urban land cover classification. Furthermore, a comparison with other well-known algorithms of Support Vector Machine (SVM), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) was made, suggesting the capability of the Seg-BOVW model to improve the urban land cover classification results. Finally, the Seg-BOVW model was tested with two other PolSAR datasets acquired with different sensors over SFB to examine its applicability with different datasets.

The structural integrity of a steel frame–shear wall structural system with a precast floor cover was experimentally investigated. A test structure with a new precast floor (SJ2) and a test structure with a cast in situ floor (SJ1) were subjected to shaking table tests. It was found that the natural frequencies of both specimens were similar. Under the action of different levels of seismic waves, the new precast monolithic floor and the cast in situ floor maintained the transmission of seismic shearing forces, thereby allowing the lateral-load-resisting members to function co-operatively. The maximum inertial forces and storey shearing forces of SJ2 and SJ1 differed depending on the seismic waveform and seismic loadings and for different storeys of the structure; some were basically the same, but the value of SJ2 was larger than that of SJ1 under some conditions. The difference in the amount of deformation was small, except for the deformation resulting from El Centro 200 cm/s2, for which the SJ2-to-SJ1 ratio of in-plane stiffness was 0.65. Thus, the novel precast structure (SJ2) that meets the requirements of engineering design would be applicable to a multi-storey reinforced concrete structure located in a seismic region.

This paper presents two different approaches to model corrosion-induced crack propagation in reinforced concrete (RC) structures. Both approaches are based on a thick-walled cylinder analogy, in which the concrete cover is subjected to the internal pressure generated by the growth of corrosion products, and both consider rust compressibility and rust diffusion into cracks. The first approach is solved numerically using finite differences to model the post-cracking softening behaviour of concrete in tension. The second approach idealises the concrete cover as either a brittle elastic or an elastoplastic material, so that it may be solved using a closed-form solution. The results obtained using each approach are compared against each other as well as against published experimental results. A parametric investigation of the influence of several variables on the results provided by the modelling approaches is also presented. The experimental data found in the literature showed reasonable agreement with predictions from the numerical and elastoplastic (analytical) models.

Surveying canopy attributes while conducting fieldwork in the rain forest is time-consuming. Low-cost imagery such as digital cover photography is a potential source of information to speed up the process of vegetation assessments and reduce costs during expeditions. This study presents an image-based non-destructive method to estimate canopy attributes of wild cacao trees in two regions of the rain forest in Colombia, using digital cover photography and machine learning algorithms. Upward-looking photography at the base of each cacao tree and machine learning algorithms were used to estimate gap fraction (GF), foliage cover (FC), crown cover (CC), crown porosity (CP), clumping index (Ω), and leaf area index (LAI) of the canopy cover. Here we used the cacao wild trees found on forestry plots as a case study to test the application of low-cost imagery on the extraction and analysis of canopy attributes. Canopy attributes were successfully extracted from the canopy cover imagery and provided 92% of classification accuracy for the structural attributes of the canopy. Canopy cover attributes allowed us to differentiate between canopy structures of the Amazon and Pacific rainforests sites suggesting that wild cacao trees are associated with different vegetation types. We also compare classification results for the computer extraction of canopy attributes with a digital canopy cover benchmark. We conclude that our approach was effective to quickly survey canopy features of vegetation associated with and of crop wild relatives of cacao. This study allows highly reproducible estimates of canopy attributes using cover photography and state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms such as deep learning Convolutional Neural Networks.

Low blood flow in the distal part of the diabetic foot aggravates the wound to an ischemic state, which eventually leads to amputation. However, major advancements in microvascular surgery have shown the ability to salvage the limb even in the presence of poor perfusion. Since a foot is constituted of a complex network of angiosomes, each separate territory of the foot is supplied by interconnected vessels. We report the successful salvage of a severe diabetic foot injury of a 72-year-old male patient with a heavily calcified dorsalis pedis artery (DPA). Although the proximal end of the DPA was clogged to prevent the flow of blood and was insufficient to use as a recipient vessel, reverse flow from the distal end was restored after removing multiple calcification fragments. As a result, a large soft-tissue defect on the third and fourth toe region was successfully covered by a contralateral anterolateral thigh free flap.

Зазначено, що біологічні, хімічні та інші характеристики природних об’єктів не завжди автома- тично приймаються юриспруденцією, право формує поняття природних об’єктів, керуючись своїми критеріями, і поняття ці можуть збігатися, проте можуть і відрізнятись. Саме тому не варто зако- нодавцю уникати правових колізій за допомогою використання схожих термінів, оскільки ця практика сприяє виникненню ще більшої плутанини і виникненню нових правових колізій. Поняття «земельна ділянка» та «земля» в більшості випадків охоплюють не лише простір над та під земною поверхнею, але й розташований у межах цього простору ґрунтовий покрив. Водночас, можливі ситуації, коли терміни «земельна ділянка», «земля» не будуть охоплювати ґрунт. У випадку, коли ґрунтовий покрив буде вилучено із природного середовища, тобто ґрунт перестане утворю- вати ґрунтовий покрив і буде поміщений, наприклад, у горщик із квіткою, він не буде охоплюватися ні поняттям «земля», ні «земельна ділянка», і відносини, об’єктом яких буде ґрунт у горщику, не будуть належати до предмету земельного права. Зазначено, що ліс – це природний, відтворюваний об’єкт природи, елемент екологічної системи, що складається з дерев, чагарників, іншої лісової рослинності, що зростає на землі; джерело одержання деревини та іншої лісової продукції, він виконує кліматорегулюючі, захисні, водоохоронні, санітарно- гігієнічні, оздоровчі, рекреаційні, естетичні, виховні та інші функції, які впливають одна на одну та на довкілля. Ліс як об’єкт природи має такі ознаки: об’єкт рослинного світу, зареєстрований у державних лісо- облікових документах як ліс, об’єкт власності, управління, використання та охорони; біологічна, біо- фізична, природна і кібернетична, економічна система; відтворюваний об’єкт природи; складається з деревно-чагарникової та трав’янистої рослинності, що зростає на землі; виробляє різноманітні сиро- винні ресурси; впливає на навколишнє природне середовище.

Kartografski rječnik u izdanju Hrvatskoga kartografskog društva i Naklade Dominović objavljen je 2020. godine. U ovom radu opisani su problemi s kojima smo se susreli u radu na pripremi tog rječnika. Kartografija je disciplina koja se bavi zasnivanjem, izradom, promicanjem i proučavanjem karata. Prema službenoj podjeli znanosti u Hrvatskoj, kartografija je grana geodezije, pa se prema tome ubraja među tehničke znanosti. Međutim, opće je poznato da su karte svuda oko nas, pa je kartografija dobrim dijelom sastavni dio geografije, geologije, pomorstva, šumarstva, agronomije, povijesti, arhitekture, pedagogije i mnogih drugih područja koja se koriste kartama i geoinformacijama. Kartografija je u posljednjih 40-ak godina doživjela ogromne promjene. Sve veće mogućnosti interaktivnosti na webu, zamjena papirnatih karata multimedijskima i elektroničkima, sve češći zahtjevi za trodimenzionalnim modelima krajolika zbog različitih analiza, simulacija i vizualizacija, globalni kartografski servisi i druge inovacije obuhvaćene su našim Kartografskim rječnikom. Svaki je naziv obrađen studiozno, a opet razumljivo i jasno. To je strukovni rječnik koji sadrži nazive iz kartografije i njoj strodnih područja. Rječnik sadrži 2500 naziva koji su poredani po abecedi. Kada se naziv sastoji od dviju ili više riječi, prva je uvijek imenica. Na primjer tematska karta uvrštena je u rječnik kao karta, tematska. Zarez znači da je uobičajeni redoslijed riječi obrnut. Uz svaki naziv ide njegova definicija koja je redovito vrlo sažeta i u jednoj rečenici. Često se za detaljnije objašnjenje daje uputa s vidi na srodne nazive. Kratku i sažetu definiciju obično slijedi napomena, koja je ponekad i nešto opsežnija, kako bi čitatelj, ako želi, mogao dobiti više informacija. Sve su definicije na hrvatskom jeziku. Međutim, kartografija ne poznaje granice, pa su stoga za većinu naziva dani sinonimi na engleskom, francuskom i njemačkom jeziku. Posebno ističemo kazala na kraju rječnika, koja olakšavaju pronalaženje naziva na tim jezicima s uputama na odgovarajući naziv na hrvatskom jeziku. Od objavljivanja prvog i jedinog Višejezičnog kartografskog rječnika u Hrvatskoj prošlo je više od 40 godina. U tom razdoblju mnogo toga novoga dogodilo se u svijetu, što su autori pokušali obuhvatiti ovim rječnikom za područje kartografije.

The concept of „cover studies” (Polish: okladkoznawstwo) as a multidisciplinary research field is relatively young in Poland, despite the fact that research in this field has been conducted earlier. The article extensing some of the theses from the author’s earlier works, it is also the first attempt to describe the music-sheet covers from a bibliological perspective (as a protection of a document, adapted to its form and content with specific functions and structure) and cover studies (as a publishing product, with specific editorial, aesthetic, historical, cultural, sociological and semiotic features aimed at evoking a specific reaction in the receiver). The overview of the functions of the music-sheet covers allowed to present the benefits of research on them and to ask the question whether this kind of covers has any specific functions, unknown to other types of documents (it has been shown that the answer requires further research).

The results of analytical calculations of T-joints in process pipelines in conformity with GOST 32388-2013, GOST 34233.3-2017, and ASME B31.3-2002 regulatory documents are compared. A numerical study of stresses at T-joints was conducted using finite-elements method. Data were obtained on the influence of dimensions of cover rings on reinforcement of T-joint in pipelines. The results of numerical and analytical calculations of T-joints are compared.

Quantifying the influences of land use/cover (LULC) change on hydrological processes is important for rational utilization of water resources. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impacts of spatiotemporal LULC change on hydrological components in a typical agricultural area located in the North China Plain at both basin and sub-basin scales. LULC change was quantified, and the Soil and Water Assessment Tool was optimized using parameters associated with LULC conditions. We concluded that the urban and forest areas increased by 25.57 and 10.56%, with the cropland area decreased by 36.76%. About half of the surface runoff (SURQ) in the basin was generated from the urban area, with the SURQ increased significantly in the upstream and downstream of the basin where overlapped with urbanized areas. The proportions of evapotranspiration generated by cropland and forest areas increased slightly (0.89 and 0.55%, respectively), especially in sub-basins where the conversion of cropland to forest was obvious. Urban, forest, and cropland were the main types that generated water yield (WYLD). The proportion of WYLD generated on the urban area increased by 9.55% and decreased in other areas, which may be related to the combined effects of urbanization and forest reduction. Highlights The SWAT model was used under different scenarios for a typical agricultural area, North China Plain.; The influences of land use/cover change on key hydrological components were analyzed at both basin and sub-basin scales.; Urbanization and reforestation will affect changes in hydrological components.

Peak Response Map (PRM) highlighting the discriminative regions can be extracted from a pre-trained classification network. We can accurately localize instances of each class with the help of these response maps. However, these maps cannot provide reliable information for segmentation even with off-the-shelf object proposals. This is because neither PRM nor the proposals know which regions can be regarded as a complete instance. In this paper, we tackle this problem by proposing an Instance-aware Cue-propagation Network (ICN) with a new proposal-matching strategy. In particular, the ICN aims to filter out background distractions and cover the complete instance, while our proposed proposal-matching strategy adds a re-balancing constraint on the contributions of multi-scale object proposals. Extensive experiments conducted on the PASCAL VOC 2012 dataset show the superior performance of our method over weakly-supervised state-of-the-arts for both semantic and instance segmentation.

SUMMARY We analyse the determinants of coverage ratios and their components [non-performing loans (NPLs) and loss loan reserves] in a large sample of European banks. We find that bank-specific factors, particularly credit risk variables (including forward-looking indicators) and capitalization, matter the most. Coverage ratios adjust insufficiently as asset quality deteriorates, except in high-NPL banks. Capitalization has a positive effect on coverage ratio, pointing to a complementarity between the two buffers. At the country level, specific macroprudential levers and developing NPL secondary markets enhance coverage ratios. Our findings emphasize the importance of micro oversight and call for more stringent macro policies in high-NPL countries.

Background: Covering a small defect on the anterior lower leg is challenging because less soft tissue is available. This study presents the application of a keystone flap (KF) with omega variation (OV) and Sydney melanoma unit modification (SMUM) for small- and moderatesized pretibial defects.Methods: This study included a series of six cases of anterior lower leg defect reconstruction with OV and SMUM KF technique by a single surgeon between December 2017 and June 2020. Records and photographs of the patients were collected and analyzed.Results: The defects’ sizes ranged from 1.5×2.5 to 6×8 cm. All defects were covered with OV KF, SMUM KF, or OV SMUM KF based on the hotspots of surrounding perforators. The flap sizes varied from 3×6 to 8×17 cm. Moreover, all flaps were completely viable. A marginal maceration developed in one case, which was mended with conservative dressing. Outcomes were favorable in all patients during the average follow-up period of 4.83±1.17 months.Conclusion: This study successfully covered small- and moderate-sized anterior lower leg defects with OV and SMUM KF. We therefore suggest the OV and SMUM KF techniques as good alternative modalities for anterior lower leg reconstruction.

Постановка задачи. Рассматривается задача разработки методики расчета несущей способности гибридных железобетонных стоек, предназначенных для стоечных опор мостовых сооружений с внешними композитными (стеклопластиковыми) оболочками. Результаты. Сформулированы теоретические зависимости для определения напряжений и относительных деформаций конструктивных элементов гибридной стойки в продольном и поперечном направлениях. Разработанные формулы учитывают совместную работу всесторонне сжатого бетонного ядра с анизотропной стеклопластиковой оболочкой, но не учитывают силовое и средовое воздействие непосредственно на композитную оболочку. Выводы. Полученные теоретические зависимости работы элементов гибридной стойки позволяют разработать методику расчета несущей способности гибридных стоек для опор мостовых сооружений. Результаты исследования предлагается применять в расчетах гибридных стоечных опор мостовых сооружений с элементами из композитных материалов. Statement of the problem. The problem of development of a technique of calculation of the load-bearing capacity of the hybrid reinforced concrete racks intended for rack supports of bridge constructions with external composite (fiberglass) covers is explored. Results. Theoretical dependences for identifying the stresses and relative deformations of structural elements of a hybrid rack in the longitudinal and cross directions are formulated. The resulting formulas take into consideration the joint work of a comprehensively compressed concrete core with an anisotropic fiberglass shell, but do not account for the force and environmental effects directly on the composite shell. Conclusions. The resulting theoretical dependences of the operation of the elements of the hybrid rack enable us to develop a method for calculating the load-bearing capacity of hybrid racks for the supports of bridge structures. It is suggested that the results of the research are applied in calculations of hybrid rack supports of bridge constructions with elements from composite materials.

Introduction: Pilonidal sinus is an inflammatory disease seen mostly in the intergluteal region of young males. Although any treatment strategy of this condition is generally free of life-threatening complications due to its superficial nature, it is still a feared disease because of recurrence which greatly increases the morbidity. Objective: To investigate the results of wide rhomboid excision and modified Limberg transposition flap reconstruction to treat recurrent pilonidal sinus. Methodology: Well-documented records of all patients with recurrent sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus who underwent wide excision and a modified Limberg transposition flap at our center during the past 3 years and followed up for longer than 12 months were analyzed. The modification primarily consisted of an asymmetrically rotated rhomboid excision and lateralization of the lower midline. Patient demographics, days of hospitalization, complications, patient satisfaction and recurrence rates were evaluated. Result: Most patients in the study were overweight. No relationship was detected between BMI and number of sinus openings, hospital stay, drain placement or recurrences but an association with infection was noted. The number of pilonidal sinus orifices did not have a correlation with age, number of previous surgeries, duration of hospital stay or drains placement. The mean duration of hospitalization was 7.89 ± 3.41 days and the mean duration of suction drainage was 6.33±2.87 days. Half of our patients developed complications in the postoperative period. The only patient who developed superficial wound infection stayed the most in the hospital. All patients had some complaints regarding the operation site; however, they were satisfied with the result of the operation and had no recurrence at 12 months of follow-up. Conclusion: Rhomboid excision of recurrent sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus with modified Limberg flap closure is a promising surgical technique with advantages of a good patient satisfaction and no recurrence after a year of surgery.

The abnormal failure of a fragile cover under external pressure was studied by experimental and finite element methods. The reason for abnormal damage was analyzed by failure pressure analysis, failure form analysis and structural strength analysis. The results indicated that buckling instability failure was the reason. Finite element software was used to simulate the buckling instability state when the thickness of center position was optimized, and the reliability of the calculation method was also verified by experiments. The results showed that the stability of the fragile cover also needs to be considered.

Several text symbol lists for common rock-forming minerals have been published over the last 40 years, but no internationally agreed standard has yet been established. This contribution presents the first International Mineralogical Association (IMA) Commission on New Minerals, Nomenclature and Classification (CNMNC) approved collection of 5744 mineral name abbreviations by combining four methods of nomenclature based on the Kretz symbol approach. The collection incorporates 991 previously defined abbreviations for mineral groups and species and presents a further 4753 new symbols that cover all currently listed IMA minerals. Adopting IMA–CNMNC approved symbols is considered a necessary step in standardising abbreviations by employing a system compatible with that used for symbolising the chemical elements.

Pullout tests for the deformed steel bars in early-aged cementitious grout by considering the variables of testing ages, cover thicknesses, and diameters of steel bar were conducted, and the local bond stress–slip relationship at different positions of the anchorage length of steel bar was studied. Results indicated that, with the increase of testing age, the load-slip curves exhibited a higher ultimate load and had steeper ascending and descending branches; however, the slippage at the ultimate load exhibited a decreasing trend. Moreover, with the increase of cover thickness and diameter of steel bar, the ultimate load of pullout specimens increased obviously, while the corresponding slips generally had no obvious correlations. According to an analysis of the measured rebar strain, the distributions of the steel stress and bond stress as well as the relative slip along the embedded length were obtained under different external loads. Steel stress transfer and bond stress distribution parameters were introduced to characterize the nonuniformity of the distributions of the steel stress and bond stress along the steel bar, and the effects of the testing age, cover thickness, and diameter of steel bar on these two parameters were analyzed. Results showed that the both of these two parameters increased with the increasing tensile load, testing age, and cover thickness and with the decreasing diameter of steel bar. Thereafter, the local bond stress-slip relationships along the anchorage length and position functions reflecting the variations of these relationships were proposed.

Structural analysis is used to assess the behavior of engineering structures under the application of loads. Usually, structural analysis methods include analytical,experimental and numerical methods is used in thisproject, however, only Analytical method is used and the values are taken from literature reference, to get familiar with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS, this is done to acquire practical knowledge about of the effect of the cover. The aim is to identify different failure modes under a range of loading conditions by changing the cover size to get the data of various parameters such as deflection, stress etc. Study of cover helps to observe the stability, reliability and the overall strength of the structural beam. This project attempts made to study the effect of cover on the behavior of reinforced concrete beam. Forthis analytical study, the Reinforced concrete beam specimen of 2000x100x200mm was considered.ANSYS software is a suite of engineering simulation software, based on finite element method, which can solve problems ranging from linear analysis to nonlinear analysis. The Doubly reinforced beams weremodeled by using geometry. In this model,various covers are provided. The beam specimensused in this study were tested under two-point static loading condition until failure of the specimen. From theobtained resultconcluded that the total deformation and directional deformation values are low in 25mm cover compared to other cases but the equivalent stress value is low in 35mm cover size compared to 25mm cover size.

The numerical-analytical method of identifying the inhomogeneity parameters of a material of a sphere’s elastic cover, which allow to ensure minimal (maximal) average pressure in the scattered field of a spherical sound wave, which is radiated by a monopole source, within the disk observation domain in a cylindrical waveguide, has been developed. The sphere is assumed to be either absolutely rigid (moveless) or filled with an homogeneous elastic material. Verification of the scheme for determining the cover’s extremal inhomogeneity characteristics has been carried out and influence of the solution algorithm’s launch parameters on their identification accuracy during the numerical experiment has been evaluated. The finite element method (FEM) and the Hooke-Jeeves algorithm are used in the problem solving.

This article is discusses the works of the graphic designer Alex Steinweiss (1917 – 2011), who was involved in music industry of the United States. The author examines the causes and effects of the emergence of a new trend in graphic design, associated with the design of music album covers, as well as analyzed some of the covers invented by Steinweiss in the 1940s. A brief overview is given to the evolution of sound recording media and their packaging. The subject of this research is the art of Alex Steinweiss, while the object is the envelopes for LP vinyl records, invented by the designer during his work for the Columbia Record Label (1930s – 1940s). The relevance of this article is substantiate by the new wave of interest in vinyl records, and thus graphic design in the context of music industry, as well as by the demand to prepare specialists for working in modern music industry. The novelty lies in examination of causal link of the emergence of new trend graphic design on inventing music album covers. The conducted research indicates the influence of a number of socioeconomic factors and activity of Alex Steinweiss upon the emergence of a new trend in graphic design. The author concludes on the relevance of studying the creative path of Alex Steinweiss for the students and representatives of art professions.

This paper studies the effect of dielectric cover layer thickness on circular microstrip patch antenna parameters such as gain, bandwidth, beam-width, radiation patterns, return loss and VSWR. The proposed antenna is designed with 2.4GHz frequency in S-Band region. This operating frequency useful in ISM band applications. Circular patch antenna is designed with cavity model analysis and simulated using HFSS simulation software (Electromagnetic simulator). The coaxial probe fed is used for antenna design. In this paper the effect of dielectric cover layer on antenna parameters studied experimentally and comparing their performance characteristics. The simulation results shows that the antenna without dielectric cover layer obtained gain is 4.11dB and antenna with dielectric cover the gain is reduced to 2.87dB to 5.88dB based on thickness of the dielectric cover layer. The antenna bandwidth obtained without dielectric cover is 3% and with dielectric cover its bandwidth is reduced from 0.012GHz to 0.052GHz based on thickness of the cover layer effect. Similarly other parameters are investigated and compared. This proposed circular patch antenna is used in wireless and Wi-Fi applications.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of latex tip cover manufacturer on accuracy and repeatability of Tono-Pen Vet(™) in canine eyes. ANIMAL STUDIED: 12 enucleated globes from 6 dogs PROCEDURES: The anterior chamber was cannulated and connected to a calibrated manometer. Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements were obtained using the Tono-Pen Vet and TONOVET Plus at manometric IOP ranging from 5 to 80 mmHg. At each IOP, the Tono-Pen Vet was used with a new Ocu-Film(™) latex tip cover (the only manufacturer-approved brand of cover) followed by a new Softips(™) latex tip cover. For comparison, the TONOVET Plus was also used at each IOP with a new disposable rebound probe. Measured IOP values were analyzed by linear regression and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). RESULTS: Tono-Pen Vet accuracy was unaffected by tip cover manufacturer or by frequent change in cover. Using ICC analysis, repeatability of measurements using either tonometer was good to excellent at physiologic IOP levels but variably decreased with both devices at supraphysiologic IOP. CONCLUSIONS: Neither tip cover manufacturer nor frequent changes in tip cover adversely affect Tono-Pen Vet accuracy. Repeatability of measurements with Tono-Pen Vet and TONOVET Plus is widely variable at supraphysiologic IOP. Therefore, minor changes in IOP > 25 mmHg should not be used to make clinical decisions without considering this variability.

This article presents the results of work on the selection of groundcover plants (both light-loving and shade-tolerant) that are promising and very promising for use on landscape architecture objects. The work was carried out during 2018 on the basis of the collection Fund of the laboratory of ornamental plants of the Main Botanical garden (MBG RAS), on two experimental sites located on the main territory of the MBG RAS, in the collection-exhibition «Shadow garden» and on the exhibition area «Decorative perennials». A total of 225 plants were selected during the study. During the growing season, field surveys of experimental samples were systematically performed and phenological observations were made. Field studies included biometric measurements of the height of the Bush and peduncle, the diameter of the Bush, the diameter/length of the flower/inflorescence, as well as refinement of the color of the flowers/inflorescences (using a special color scale of the English Royal society of flower growers (RHS color Chart)). The result of this work is a list that includes 40 names. These are very promising and promising species that we recommend for use in urban gardening.

It is revealed that Pythagoras was influenced by ancient myths, the Upanishads, in creating his works.
