Papular elastorrhexis is a rare acquired disease, first described in 1987 by Bordas, which has been very rarely reported in the literature. It is characterized by small asymptomatic non-follicular papules, mainly distributed in the trunk. Histology of the lesions shows homogenization of collagen and fragmentation of elastic fibers in the dermis. The rarity of this disease is probably due to the subtlety and benign nature of clinical and histopathological alterations, which can be easily confused with other pathologies. The authors report the case of a patient with exuberant clinical manifestations typical of elastorrhexis papular.

Em 1907 EHRMANN descreveu dois tipos diferentes de livedo: um patológico, o livedo racemoso, e um “fisiológico”, o livedo reticular. Ambos são causados pela redução do fluxo sanguíneo e pela redução da tensão de oxigênio no segmento da pele. É importante diferenciar clinicamente os dois tipos de livedo. O livedo racemoso associa-se com doenças sistémicas como esclerodermia sistémica. É a manifestação dermatológica mais comum da síndrome do anticorpo antifosfolipídeo. Relatamos o caso de uma paciente com livedo racemoso associado à esclerodermia cutânea.

Prozone phenomenon results from high antibody titers in patients with syphilis, causing a false negative Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) results. We report a case of a 50-year-old female patient, with a chief complaint of diffuse, erythematous and asymptomatic lesions, conjunctival hyperemia in her left eye. The physical examination: maculopapular rash on the trunk, back, abdomen and face and right epitrochlear adenopathy. She brought general tests within normal limits and negative VDRL. We requested FTA-ABS IgG:+ and VDRL in diluted serum: 1:512. The optimal ratio of the antigen/antibody yields an insoluble precipitate that is visible, thus rendering the test positive. Thus, phenomenon prozon was confirmed.

Variante do líquen plano, o líquen plano pilar (folicular) acomete a unidade pilossebácea e pode ocasionar alopécia cicatricial. O líquen plano pigmentoso, outra forma de apresentação do líquen plano, caracteriza-se por pápulas ou máculas hipercrômicas que podem ser pruriginosas, sendo mais frequente em pacientes melanodérmicos. Apresentamos o caso de uma paciente que apresentou simultaneamente dois subtipos de líquen plano: pilar no couro cabeludo, região cervical e antebraços e pigmentoso na face, o que é raro. A tricoscopia facilitou a visualização das alterações no couro cabeludo. Na fronte haviam manchas hipercrômicas e na região cervical pápulas foliculares eritematosas. Após a realização de biópsias dos três tipos de lesões, confirmou-se o diagnóstico de líquen plano pilar no couro cabeludo, líquen plano pigmentoso na fronte e líquen plano pilar na região cervical. Inicialmente foi tratada com corticóide tópico com melhora das lesões, mas apresentou novas lesões nos antebraços, sendo iniciado o uso de hidroxicloroquina.

O vitiligo é uma doença cutânea adquirida, idiopática, que acomete aproximadamente 1% da população mundial. O nevo acrômico é uma anomalia congênita observada em 0,2 a 0,3% dos neonatos e possui uma tendência a se manter estável ao longo do tempo. Apesar do diagnóstico de vitiligo e nevo acrômico serem baseados em características clínicas, a luz de Wood é uma ferramenta que é útil no diagnóstico destas discromias. Relatamos um caso de uma paciente de 26 anos de idade que apresentava manchas compatíveis com nevo acrômico e vitiligo na mesma região do corpo.

Introduction : Sweet’s syndrome is a neutrophilic dermatosis with acute cutaneous lesions as erythematous edematous plaques and nodules. Other alterations include fever, peripheral leukocytosis, arthralgia, myalgia, cephalea and ophthalmic, oral cavity and internal organs involvement. The purpose of this article is to discuss the clinical condition of the patient, as well as the diagnostic criteria, the approach used to investigate possible associated condi- tions and the different forms of treatment. Case Report: It is about a 45-year old white woman with idiopathic Sweet’s syndrome treated with glucocorticoids. Physical examination revealed erythematous and edematous plaques with pseu- dovesicular appearance on the face, trunk, upper and lower limbs. Histopathology revealed edema, dense neutrophilic infiltrate, leukocytoclasia and extravasation of erythrocytes in the upper dermis. Discussion: Sweet’s syndrome it might be related to the use of medication, pregnancy, inflammation, infection or malignancy. The most commonly associated neoplasias consist of hematological malignancies, particularly acute myeloid leukemia. Although glucocorticoids cons- titute the treatment of choice for Sweet’s syndrome, other therapeutic options exist. KEYWORDS – Sweet syndrome; Paraneoplastic syndromes; Skin diseases.

Histiocytosis represents a group of rare disorders characterized by nonneoplastic proliferation of histiocytes and solitary cutaneous reticulohistiocytosis (SCR) is a form of non-Langerhans histiocytosis. SCR consists of small papule, usually single, varying in color from yellow to brownish-red, more frequent in young adults, and uncommon in childhood. We report a case of SCR in an 11-year-old child and emphasize a unique dermoscopy pattern of this lesion and its correlation with clinical and histopathological aspects in the diagnosis.

Cutaneous larva migrans is a pruritic dermatitis due to the inoculation of helminths larvae in the skin, and it often occurs in children in tropical and subtropical areas. The authors describe an atypical case of cutaneous larva migrans in a 11 year-old child with scalp involvement, an unusual topography for this lesion.
