Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a common and frequent condition in the practice of a physician according to the results of echocardiography, and no longer can cause difficulties in determining the genesis, as well as further management of tactics. PH can be not only a complication of a severe heart failure or chronic lung diseases, but also be a manifestation of much more rare forms of diseases: pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). Timely diagnosis of PH and the correct interpretation of its origin with the contemporary treatment options can improve the quality of life and prognosis for previously severe PAH, as well as talk about the potential curability of some patients with CTEPH. The article describes the approaches adopted in the region to treat patients with PH, including the steps of diagnosis both: outpatient and in-patient hospital. The experience of interaction between the experts of the Almazov National Medical Research center and the specialists of the Baranov Republic Hospital on the problems of diagnostics and treatment of patients with PAH and CTEPH is presented. The purpose of the publication is to demonstrate the possibilities of examination and treatment of patients with PH in the Republic of Karelia.

A high-quality superconducting resonator with a microbridge of hafnium film for use in a circuit for readout a terahertz-band imaging array with frequency division multiplexing is demonstrated experimentally. The variability of the impedance of the bridge at a frequency of 1.5 GHz, which is a key factor in the control of the quality of the resonator, is studied. The bridge, having a thickness of about 50 nm, a critical temperature TC ≈ 380 mK, and a plan size of 2.5 × 2.5 μm, was connected as a load of a resonator made of niobium film with a thickness of about 100 nm (TC ~ 9 K). It is shown that the bridge smoothly changes its impedance proportionally to the bias power in the entire temperature range. The effective thermal insulation of the bridge was measured in a dilution cryostat at temperatures of 50–300 mK. Thermal conductivity G of the bridge was calculated and found to be ~4 × 10–13 W/K, which gives an estimate of the sensitivity of the structure in the bolometric mode NEP ≈ 8 × 10–19 W/Hz1/2 at a temperature of 150 mK.

Our new detector and readout concept brings together TES (Transition Edge Sensor) and MKID (Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detector) technologies and exploits the idea of a microwave-induced superconducting transition in a small thin-film microbridge. The superconducting transition of the bridge manifests itself as variation in the Q -factor of niobium resonators at 5–8 GHz, somewhat similar to MKID operation. We present data showing the potential for developing this concept into multipixel detector arrays. Single-pixel sensitivity was measured at 4.5 K for an input band of 600–700 GHz using a prototype 10-nm-thick Nb bridge of size 1 μm × 500 nm. Radiation from human skin was detected with a resolution better than 1 K/rtHz, which is encouraging for terahertz imaging applications. To further improve device sensitivity, we are also developing Hf-based devices that operate near 0.35 K. Details about the physics and stability of these devices are discussed.

Introduction. Today, there is a whole range of problems related to youth employment. These problems are caused by social, economic, technological, migration reasons, rapid transformation of the labour market structure and all spheres of life of a modern man. The value-motivational attitudes of young people in solving the issue of their employment become different. The aim of the research is to identify the dynamics and qualitative changes in values, which determine the choice of the future workplace by university graduates, as well as the degree of compliance of the claims of young specialists with the requirements imposed by employers.Methodology and research methods. The methodology of the present research is based on the theory of determination of human activity, which reveals the relationship of socio-economic, sociocultural factors, needs, goals, value orientations, personality attitudes in determining the content of the desired job and place of employment. The main research method was a questionnaire survey of bachelor’s students in their final year of studies, who receive technical, economic, humanitarian and pedagogical education in universities of Ekaterinburg – a large Russian industrial and cultural centre. The survey was conducted in 2016 and 2018 according to a single method. At the first stage (2016) the quota sample was 1905 people, at the second stage (2018) – 2420 people. The opinions of the heads of enterprises and organisations of the Ural region on the quality of young specialists’ training, their desire and ability to actively participate in innovation processes were revealed through the method of in-depth interviews.Results and scientific novelty. The results of a comparative study showed the preservation of the graduates’ value orientations to high salaries and opportunities for rapid professional and career growth. At the same time, very significant changes in the direction and content of young people’s orientations to the forthcoming employment were revealed: perceptions of the importance of early search for the profession demanded in labour market and the work in the acquired specialty; values of social status of a specialist with higher education; self-realisation in activities corresponding to personal inclinations and potential. The share of students who do not have clear plans for employment by the time they graduate decreased by half, and the share of technical departments graduates without such plans decreased fourfold. The share of students seeking to raise their social status by receiving a higher education diploma doubled. The number of students focused on obtaining a specialty corresponding to their personal abilities decreased by a quarter. The variation was found in accordance with the specifics of the direction of training of bachelor’s degree students’ determination to continue further studies in master’s degree programmes and their value attitudes for work, including in related specialties. The representatives of enterprises, where students undergo practical training, began to actively help them in finding a job corresponding to their specialty. However, the heads of manufacturing sectors and management staff of various organisations note the inadequacy of ambitions of a large part of applicants for prestigious positions due to the low level of the formation of necessary universal, general professional and professional competencies. According to the employers, there are no noticeable positive changes in the level of readiness of young professionals to actively engage in self-education and continuous professional development, mastering technological innovations.Practical significance. Since the success of graduate employment is an important indicator of university efficiency, the results of the present research can be applied by education management specialists dealing with the issues of the quality of education, career guidance, employment of population and youth policy.

Recent years the interest in the questions of “green” architecture is growing increasingly visible throughout the world. The “green” architecture has become one of the most demanded areas of modern architecture as well as providing an incentive for the most various and multi directional research. At the present time architects and engineers face a challenge to effectively implement this trend’s opportunities in creating the architectural objects, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Based on analysis of the overseas experiences the article articulated and illustrated the basic principles that should be guided in order to achieve the greatest effect in the development of design and construction “green” objects.

We demonstrated and analyzed the smooth microwave-driven transition of a superconducting bridge made from Hf into its normal state at bath temperatures below the critical temperature of Hf (Tc ≈ 380 mK). The bridge is integrated on a silicon chip with both the 600-700 GHz double-slot antenna and the 1.5-GHz CPW quarter-wave resonator (Q-factor ~10⁴) made from 100-nm Nb film. The experimental bridge was sized 2.5 um by 2.5 um by 50 nm and tested at temperatures down to 50 mK. Similar to the technique of MKID, we measured the dependence of transmission S21 on microwave power at the bottom of the resonance curve. It was found that the microwave power absorbed in the bridge fits to the model of hot electron gas, P~Te⁶-Tph⁶. The internal NEP down to≈10¯¹⁸ W/√Hz is estimated due to thermal noise at the optimum electron gas temperature, Te ≈ 320 mK. The NEP can be scaled down below ≈10¯¹⁹ W/√Hz via reasonable reduction of the bridge volume. The new detector circuit is suitable for integration within a large imaging array exploiting the FDMreadout.

This paper is devoted to some important and fundamental problems of the modern Russian architectural theory. These problems are: methodological and technological retardation; substitution of the modern professional architectural theoretical knowledge by the humanitarian concepts; preference of the traditional historical or historical-theoretical research. One of the most probable ways is the formation of useful modern subject (and multi-subject)-oriented concepts in architecture. To get over the criticism and distrust of the architectural theory is possible through the recognition of an important role of the subject (architect, consumer, contractor, ruler, etc.) and direction of the practical tasks of the forming human environment in the today's rapidly changing world and post-industrial society. In this article we consider the evolution of two basic concepts for the theory of architecture such as the image and morphology.

Mathematical models of single-phase induction motors with asymmetric three-phase and two-phase windings (the number per pole in the main and auxiliary phases is not the same in the latter case). Neurogenic pulmonary edema (NPE) is an acute life-threatening complication associated with many forms of central nervous system injury. NPE usually appears within minutes to hours after injury and has a high mortality rate if not recognized and treated appropriately. Lung ultrasound quickly provides at the bedside relevant information on the state of aeration and ventilation of the lung. We describe a case report of acute respiratory insufficiency after posterior cranial fossa surgery. The patient underwent a subtotal meningiomectomy. Postoperative course was complicated by respiratory failure with unstable hemodynamic parameters. The pulmonary edema was suspected, and sonography examination was performed. Lung ultrasound showed typical signs for non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema. Transthoracic echocardiography showed preserved left ventricle systolic function, but signs of the severe hypovolemia were found. We corrected for the preload and ventilator support settings. Within 24 h, her respiratory status improved with a resolution of the pulmonary edema. Lung ultrasound at the bedside can provide accurate information on lung status in neurocritically ill patients with acute respiratory failure. The addition of transthoracic echocardiography to lung sonography provides an additive insight on the eventual pulmonary involvement. Lung ultrasound has the potential to become a reference tool for bedside dynamic respiratory monitoring in the Neuro ICU.
