The new generation of industrial 4.0 intelligent manufacturing system consists of Human-Cyber-Physical System (HCPS), integrating human with cyber and physical systems. In manufacturing, a digital-twin visualization architecture is to solve the human-machine interaction problem that concerns digital-twin modeling on the Cyber-Physical (C-P) side and on the Human-Cyber side. Although there are many related research and applications, there lacks attention in terms of full life cycle functional services and lightweight architecture. This paper presents a general architecture of digital-twin visualization for flexible manufacturing systems (FMS). How the digital-twin C-P modeling of multi-source heterogeneous information can be described is investigated and how the 3D visualized human-machine interaction with digital-twin scenario information is explored in the proposed architecture. Besides, the visualization method of high-value information, relating to the life cycle planning, design, debugging and service stages, is studied and discussed thoroughly. Also, a digital-twin modeling concept of "Geometric information (G)-Historical samples (H)-Object attribute (O)-Snapshot collection (S)-Topology constraint (T)" (GHOST) is proposed, and methods for developing virtual digital-twin scenes architecture are presented. Based on the proposed modeling concept of GHOST for digital-twin, prototypes have been developed for the general platform of digital-twin RESTful services and the cross-platform general visual mock-up software. Experimental results show that this method is effective in the FMS lifecycle in various aspects.

As of June 8, 2020, the global reported number of COVID-19 cases had reached more than 7 million with over 400 000 deaths. The household transmissibility of the causative pathogen, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), remains unclear. We aimed to estimate the secondary attack rate of SARS-CoV-2 among household and non-household close contacts in Guangzhou, China, using a statistical transmission model.In this retrospective cohort study, we used a comprehensive contact tracing dataset from the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention to estimate the secondary attack rate of COVID-19 (defined as the probability that an infected individual will transmit the disease to a susceptible individual) among household and non-household contacts, using a statistical transmission model. We considered two alternative definitions of household contacts in the analysis: individuals who were either family members or close relatives, such as parents and parents-in-law, regardless of residential address, and individuals living at the same address regardless of relationship. We assessed the demographic determinants of transmissibility and the infectivity of COVID-19 cases during their incubation period.Between Jan 7, 2020, and Feb 18, 2020, we traced 195 unrelated close contact groups (215 primary cases, 134 secondary or tertiary cases, and 1964 uninfected close contacts). By identifying households from these groups, assuming a mean incubation period of 5 days, a maximum infectious period of 13 days, and no case isolation, the estimated secondary attack rate among household contacts was 12·4% (95% CI 9·8-15·4) when household contacts were defined on the basis of close relatives and 17·1% (13·3-21·8) when household contacts were defined on the basis of residential address. Compared with the oldest age group (≥60 years), the risk of household infection was lower in the youngest age group (20 years; odds ratio [OR] 0·23 [95% CI 0·11-0·46]) and among adults aged 20-59 years (OR 0·64 [95% CI 0·43-0·97]). Our results suggest greater infectivity during the incubation period than during the symptomatic period, although differences were not statistically significant (OR 0·61 [95% CI 0·27-1·38]). The estimated local reproductive number (R) based on observed contact frequencies of primary cases was 0·5 (95% CI 0·41-0·62) in Guangzhou. The projected local R, had there been no isolation of cases or quarantine of their contacts, was 0·6 (95% CI 0·49-0·74) when household was defined on the basis of close relatives.SARS-CoV-2 is more transmissible in households than SARS-CoV and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus. Older individuals (aged ≥60 years) are the most susceptible to household transmission of SARS-CoV-2. 川西木里混杂带位于扬子板块西缘,向西与甘孜-理塘弧前混杂带相接,位于一个大地构造上十分重要的部位。我们详细野外地质调查揭示,木里混杂带由不同类型的大洋板片地层组成,其中海山岩石组合保存相对完整,枕状熔岩与上覆碳酸盐岩帽接触关系以及海山斜坡滑塌堆积组合完整清晰。海山枕状玄武岩具斑状结构,主要斑晶矿物相为单斜辉石,少量基性斜长石,基质为微晶斜长石和辉石。原生熔体包裹体主要寄存于单斜辉石斑晶中,形状不规则,大小20~50μm。熔体包裹体内部组成和结构简单清晰,主要为不透明玻璃质,有的熔体包裹体含圆形-椭圆形收缩气泡,个别熔体包裹体壁可见子矿物结晶析出。对单斜辉石斑晶及其中熔体包裹体的地球化学分析结果揭示,木里混杂带中保留了OIB和E-MORB两类海山玄武岩,其原始岩浆源区为石榴子石二辉橄榄岩低程度熔融。其中,OIB型海山玄武岩(样品HS5)是地幔柱轴部岩浆活动的产物,而E-MORB型海山玄武岩(样品HS2)是某种程度的热点(地幔柱)与洋中脊相互作用的产物。磷灰石U-Pb测年结果和古生物化石证据表明,木里混杂带中的海山形成于石炭纪末-二叠纪初(302±11Ma)。这表明甘孜-理塘(松潘-甘孜)古特提斯分支洋在石炭纪末或更早时期就已经发育。在该分支洋盆内发育地幔柱以及地幔柱(热点)与洋中脊的相互作用。

Accurate detection of obstacles in 3D is an essential task for autonomous driving and intelligent transportation. In this work, we propose a general multimodal fusion framework FusionPainting to fuse the 2D RGB image and 3D point clouds at a semantic level for boosting the 3D object detection task. Especially, the FusionPainting framework consists of three main modules: a multi-modal semantic segmentation module, an adaptive attention-based semantic fusion module, and a 3D object detector. First, semantic information is obtained for 2D images and 3D Lidar point clouds based on 2D and 3D segmentation approaches. Then the segmentation results from different sensors are adaptively fused based on the proposed attention-based semantic fusion module. Finally, the point clouds painted with the fused semantic label are sent to the 3D detector for obtaining the 3D objection results. The effectiveness of the proposed framework has been verified on the large-scale nuScenes detection benchmark by comparing it with three different baselines. The experimental results show that the fusion strategy can significantly improve the detection performance compared to the methods using only point clouds, and the methods using point clouds only painted with 2D segmentation information. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary Selenohomolanthionine (SeHLan) on antioxidant status and immune response in canine parvovirus (CPV) vaccinated puppies. In this study, 30 weaned puppies were randomly divided into six groups: control group (–Se/–Vacc), immunization group (–Se/+Vacc), supplementation of sodium selenite group (SS/+Vacc, 0.35 mg/kg DM), low-dose SeHLan group (SeHLan-L/+Vacc, 0.35 mg/kg DM), mid-dose SeHLan group (SeHLan-M/+Vacc, 1.0 mg/kg DM), and high-dose SeHLan group (SeHLan-H/+Vacc, 2.0 mg/kg DM). The puppies were fed for 42 days and vaccinated with Vanguard Plus 5 on day 0 and day 21. Blood samples were collected on 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42 days post-immunization (PI) for determination of antioxidant indicators, lymphocyte proliferation index, serum cytokine concentration (IL-2, IL-4), canine polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) phagocytic function, and the level of CPV antibody titers. The results showed that SeHLan supplementation raised the serum Se concentration and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity in a dose-dependent manner (P < 0.05). It also increased the activity of serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) and decreased serum malondialdehyde (MDA) content, especially in SeHLan-M/+Vacc group (1.0 mg/kg DM) (P < 0.01). SeHLan supplementation significantly increased lymphocyte proliferation, IL-2, and IL-4 levels in canine serum, and enhanced phagocytosis of PMN in vaccinated puppies (P < 0.05). Moreover, SeHLan supplementation shortened the CPV antibody production time and increased the CPV antibody titers (P < 0.05). Of note, the beneficial effects of SeHLan were superior to those of SS. In conclusion, dietary SeHLan supplementation improved antioxidant activity, increased CPV antibody titers, and enhanced immune function in puppies after weaning. An appropriate dosage of SeHLan (1~2 mg/kg DM) may confer nutritional benefits in puppies.

This method can verify the correctness of the power-off protection mechanism, i.e. whether the data operated after the power-off event can maintain atomicity. This verification method gives the specific verification method, but does not limit the specific details of the implementation.

Background The purpose of this study was to explore the efficacy and safety of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in gastric cancer with liver metastasis (GCLM) patients who were contraindicated for either hepatectomy or radiofrequency ablation (RFA). Methods This is a prospective, observational study on GCLM patients with 1–3 liver metastases. The primary gastric lesions were thoroughly resected and any case that exhibited extra-hepatic metastasis was excluded. A 1:2:2 propensity score-matching analysis was performed using a logistic regression model on the HIFU group, best supportive care (BSC) group, and palliative chemotherapy (PC) group. The primary endpoints include progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Results Forty patients were finally included, there were 8 cases in HIFU group, 16 cases in BSC group, and 16 cases in PC group. The median follow-up time for the entire cohort was 10 months. The median PFS was 16.5 months in HIFU group, 2 months in BSC group, and 5 months in PC group. The median OS was 27.5 months in the HIFU group, 7 months in the BSC group, and 11.5 months in the PC group. Additionally, no grade 3 or higher adverse events occurred in the HIFU group. Conclusion The results of this study showed that HIFU treatment could improve the long-term prognosis of GCLM patients without a significant increase in the occurrence of adverse events. Compared with PC and BSC, HIFU is the preferred treatment option when GCLM patients without extra-hepatic metastasis are unable to undergo either surgery or RFA.

Following the rapid development of the Internet of vehicles (IoV), many issues and challenges do come up as the storage of large quantities of vehicle network data and improvement of the retrieval efficiency. A great deal of global positioning system (GPS) log data and vehicle monitoring data is generated on IoV. When many small files in the conventional Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) are accessed, a series of problems arise such as high occupancy rate, low access efficiency and low retrieval efficiency, which lead to degrade the performance of IoV. In an attempt to tackle these bottleneck problems, a small Files Correlation Probability (FCP) model is proposed, which is based on the Text Feature Vector (TFV) presented in this paper. The Small Files Merge Scheme based on FCP (SFMS-FCP) and the Small File Prefetching and Caching Strategies (SFPCS) are proposed to optimize the storage and access performance of HDFS. Finally, experiments show that the proposed optimization solutions achieve better performance in terms of high occupancy of HDFS name nodes and low access efficiency, compared with the native HDFS read-write scheme and HAR-based read-write optimization scheme. 13. A Practical Joint Coding-Modulation Mode and Frequency-Time Resource Allocation Approach in MF-TDMA Satellite Communication Systems

In general, the problem of the resource management in the MF-TDMA satellite communication system can be divided into two phases: a timeslot calculation phase for each connection request and a timeslot allocation phase in the frame structure. In this paper, we propose algorithms to solve this two-phases problem. In the former phase, we first allocate each connection request on an appropriate carrier based on the traffic demand of each connection request, and next dynamically adjust the coding and modulation mode of each connection request, according to the channel condition and state of the system resource usage. Then we calculate the number of timeslots required to be assigned to each connection request. In the latter phase, we propose an algorithm called Best Fit (BF)-modified to allocate the timeslots in the MF-TDMA frame structure. Simulation results show that although the total traffic demands generated by all the connection requests are various, the timeslot is sufficiently utilized due to the dynamical adjustment of the coding and modulation mode. Moreover, the performance of the proposed (BF)-modified algorithm is better than that of the existing algorithm.

Identifying fake news on the media has been an important issue. This is especially true considering the wide spread of rumors on the popular social networks such as Twitter. Various kinds of techniques have been proposed for automatic rumor detection. In this work, we study the application of graph neural networks for rumor classification at a lower level, instead of applying existing neural network architectures to detect rumors. The responses to true rumors and false rumors display distinct characteristics. This suggests that it is essential to capture such interactions in an effective manner for a deep learning network to achieve better rumor detection performance. To this end we present a simplified aggregation graph neural network architecture. Experiments on publicly available Twitter datasets demonstrate that the proposed network has performance on a par with or even better than that of state-of-the-art graph convolutional networks, while significantly reducing the computational complexity.

This allows the suppliers to achieve economies of scale in terms of production and distribution by encouraging customers to place large orders. In this paper, we consider the optimal policy of a retailer who operates a single-product inventory system under periodic review. The ordering cost of the retailer is a linear function of the ordering quantity, and the shipping cost is a fixed constant K whenever the order size is less than a given quantity - the free shipping quantity (FSQ), and it is zero whenever the order size is at least as much as the FSQ. Demands in different time periods are i.i.d. random variables. We provide the optimal inventory control policy and characterize its structural properties for the single-period model. For multi-period inventory systems, we propose and analyze a heuristic policy that has a simple structure, the (s, t, S) policy. Optimal parameters of the proposed heuristic policy are then computed. Through an extensive numerical study, we demonstrate that the heuristic policy is sufficiently accurate and close to optimal. This paper analyzes the deficiency of traditional testing method of secure communication between edge device (The device does edge computing in internet of things) and end device (The device in the end of internet of things) in power internet, and proposes a verifying method in power internet of things. This method applies to the scene that tremendous amount of end devices plugged in power internet of things and communicate securely with edge devices. Comparing to traditional method, this method is capable to verify if the security and efficiency of the communication between edge device and end device so that they can meet the requirements in power internet of things.

Background As of June 8, 2020, the global reported number of COVID-19 cases had reached more than 7 million with over 400 000 deaths. The household transmissibility of the causative pathogen, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), remains unclear. We aimed to estimate the secondary attack rate of SARS-CoV-2 among household and non-household close contacts in Guangzhou, China, using a statistical transmission model. Methods In this retrospective cohort study, we used a comprehensive contact tracing dataset from the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention to estimate the secondary attack rate of COVID-19 (defined as the probability that an infected individual will transmit the disease to a susceptible individual) among household and non-household contacts, using a statistical transmission model. We considered two alternative definitions of household contacts in the analysis: individuals who were either family members or close relatives, such as parents and parents-in-law, regardless of residential address, and individuals living at the same address regardless of relationship. We assessed the demographic determinants of transmissibility and the infectivity of COVID-19 cases during their incubation period. Findings Between Jan 7, 2020, and Feb 18, 2020, we traced 195 unrelated close contact groups (215 primary cases, 134 secondary or tertiary cases, and 1964 uninfected close contacts). By identifying households from these groups, assuming a mean incubation period of 5 days, a maximum infectious period of 13 days, and no case isolation, the estimated secondary attack rate among household contacts was 12·4% (95% CI 9·8–15·4) when household contacts were defined on the basis of close relatives and 17·1% (13·3–21·8) when household contacts were defined on the basis of residential address. A series of scandals involving the rabies vaccine and the diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis combined vaccine (DTP) were reported in July 2018, in China. Our goal was to assess the effects of the vaccine scandal on parents' attitudes and decisions regarding vaccination. A cross-sectional study was conducted by contacting kindergarteners' parents through an online questionnaire from March 1 to 8, 2019. In total, 14,300 valid questionnaire responses were received, and 92.53% of respondents were aware of the recent vaccine scandal. Among parents who were aware of the vaccine scandal, 13.62% preferred that their children receive optional vaccines (optional vaccine group) or delay, stop or reject vaccinations (hesitate group) instead of receiving mandatory vaccines (mandatory vaccine group). Awareness of the vaccine scandal and self-reporting of vaccine-associated side effects in their children were more common among respondents in the optional vaccine and the hesitate groups (P 0.001). Compared with the mandatory vaccine group, parents in the hesitate group were more likely to report having attempted to dissuade others from vaccinating their children (P 0.001). Because the scandal changed parents' decisions regarding vaccination of their children, efforts should be made to restore public confidence in vaccines and to boost immunization rates.

Aircraft is a kind of valuable military equipment and transportation, so using target detection technology to detect ground aircraft in the optical remote sensing image has important research and application value. Although some achievements have been made in the relevant research, how to realize fast and effective ground aircraft target detection is still a challenging task because of the complex background of remote sensing image, large scale change and small imaging size, etc. Aiming at the application scenarios of multi-frame imaging, such as embedded detection and tracking system, this thesis proposes an aircraft target detection scheme based on hierarchical screening, which can improve the detection speed and reduce false alarm. Firstly, by analyzing the background characteristics, a target candidate region extraction method based on gray variance is adopted, and the acceleration is realized by integrating graph and shared computation. Then, the haar-like features are extracted in the candidate regions, which are then classified by the cascade AdaBoost classifier. Afterwards, a union-find-sets algorithm is used to merge the redundancy detection results and evaluate the confidence. Finally, the inter-frame correlation information is used to remove the false alarm. And we carried out experimental verification and proved the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Our aim was to compare trends in total, HDL and non-HDL cholesterol and the total-to-HDL cholesterol ratio in Asian and Western countries. Methods: We pooled 458 population-based studies with 82.1 million participants in 23 Asian and Western countries. We estimated changes in mean total, HDL and non-HDL cholesterol and mean total-to-HDL cholesterol ratio by country, sex and age group. Results: Since ∼1980, mean TC increased in Asian countries. In Japan and South Korea, the TC rise was due to rising HDL cholesterol, which increased by up to 0.17 mmol/L per decade in Japanese women; in China, it was due to rising non-HDL cholesterol. TC declined in Western countries, except in Polish men. The decline was largest in Finland and Norway, at ∼0.4 mmol/L per decade. The decline in TC in most Western countries was the net effect of an increase in HDL cholesterol and a decline in non-HDL cholesterol, with the HDL cholesterol increase largest in New Zealand and Switzerland. Mean total-to-HDL cholesterol ratio declined in Japan, South Korea and most Western countries, by as much as ∼0.7 per decade in Swiss men (equivalent to ∼26% decline in coronary heart disease risk per decade). The ratio increased in China. BACKGROUND: Comparable global data on health and nutrition of school-aged children and adolescents are scarce. We aimed to estimate age trajectories and time trends in mean height and mean body-mass index (BMI), which measures weight gain beyond what is expected from height gain, for school-aged children and adolescents., METHODS: For this pooled analysis, we used a database of cardiometabolic risk factors collated by the Non-Communicable Disease Risk Factor Collaboration. We applied a Bayesian hierarchical model to estimate trends from 1985 to 2019 in mean height and mean BMI in 1-year age groups for ages 5–19 years. The model allowed for non-linear changes over time in mean height and mean BMI and for non-linear changes with age of children and adolescents, including periods of rapid growth during adolescence., FINDINGS: We pooled data from 2181 population-based studies, with measurements of height and weight in 65 million participants in 200 countries and territories. In 2019, we estimated a difference of 20 cm or higher in mean height of 19-year-old adolescents between countries with the tallest populations (the Netherlands, Montenegro, Estonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina for boys; and the Netherlands, Montenegro, Denmark, and Iceland for girls) and those with the shortest populations (Timor-Leste, Laos, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea for boys; and Guatemala, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Timor-Leste for girls). In the same year, the difference between the highest mean BMI (in Pacific island countries, Kuwait, Bahrain, The Bahamas, Chile, the USA, and New Zealand for both boys and girls and in South Africa for girls) and lowest mean BMI (in India, Bangladesh, Timor-Leste, Ethiopia, and Chad for boys and girls; and in Japan and Romania for girls) was approximately 9–10 kg/m2. In some countries, children aged 5 years started with healthier height or BMI than the global median and, in some cases, as healthy as the best performing countries, but they became progressively less healthy compared with their comparators as they grew older by not growing as tall (eg, boys in Austria and Barbados, and girls in Belgium and Puerto Rico) or gaining too much weight for their height (eg, girls and boys in Kuwait, Bahrain, Fiji, Jamaica, and Mexico; and girls in South Africa and New Zealand). In other countries, growing children overtook the height of their comparators (eg, Latvia, Czech Republic, Morocco, and Iran) or curbed their weight gain (eg, Italy, France, and Croatia) in late childhood and adolescence. When changes in both height and BMI were considered, girls in South Korea, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and some central Asian countries (eg, Armenia and Azerbaijan), and boys in central and western Europe (eg, Portugal, Denmark, Poland, and Montenegro) had the healthiest changes in anthropometric status over the past 3·5 decades because, compared with children and adolescents in other countries, they had a much larger gain in height than they did in BMI. The unhealthiest changes—gaining too little height, too much weight for their height compared with children in other countries, or both—occurred in many countries in sub-Saharan Africa, New Zealand, and the USA for boys and girls; in Malaysia and some Pacific island nations for boys; and in Mexico for girls., INTERPRETATION: The height and BMI trajectories over age and time of school-aged children and adolescents are highly variable across countries, which indicates heterogeneous nutritional quality and lifelong health advantages and risks., Wellcome Trust, AstraZeneca Young Health Programme, EU., peer-reviewed

Brain extraction from Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the separation of brain tissue from non-brain tissue in MRI brain images and removal of extra brain tissue. Automatic extraction of brain tissue is an important step in neuroimage processing for clinical applications and scientific research. Accurate delineation of the region can be challenged due to the weak contrast between the brain and non-brain tissue. To overcome this issue, this paper proposed a novel brain extraction approach integrating the boundary information under the deep neural network framework. The boundary of the brain tissues was first detected by an edge detection neural network. The inception module was then utilized in the convolutional stage to capture multi-scale features. A dense decoder shortcut connection structure was finally introduced to leverage the multi-level features in the upsampling stage. The proposed method can achieve Dice overlap coefficients of 98.15% and 98.09%, for the OASIS and LPBA40 datasets respectively. The proposed method outperforms the commonly used brain extraction tools by qualitative and quantitative assessments on two publicly available benchmark datasets.

Multilevel pulsewidth modulation (PWM) has become very important in high-power applications in recent years. Many different types of topology and control strategy have been developed to cater for the increasing need. One of the major concerns of the control strategy is to reduce the undesirable harmonics in order to improve the performance and efficiency. This paper presents the derivation of analytical solutions for determining the spectral characteristics of the multicarrier-based multilevel sinusoidal PWM. By decomposing the multilevel PWM into a series of sub-PWM and followed by using double Fourier series analysis, compact analytical solutions for any level with any carrier phase disposition have been obtained. Closed-form solutions have also been derived for double-sided multilevel PWM under certain specific carrier phase settings. The analytical solutions have been cross verified extensively with simulations and the results match with each other very well. It is shown that the proposed analytical solutions are by far the most compact reported in the literature. Purpose: To investigate whether GDF11 ameliorates myocardial ischemia reperfusion (MIR) injury in diabetic rats and explore the underlying mechanisms. Methods: Diabetic and non-diabetic rats subjected to MIR (30 min of coronary artery occlusion followed by 120 min of reperfusion) with/without GDF11 pretreatment. Cardiac function, myocardial infarct size, creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), superoxide dismutase (SOD) 15-F2tisoprostane, autophagosome, LC3II/I ratio and Belcin-1 level were determined to reflect myocardial injury, oxidative stress and autophagy, respectively. In in vitro study, H9c2 cells cultured in high glucose (HG, 30mM) suffered hypoxia reoxygenation (HR) with/without GDF11, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine (3-MA) treatment, cell injury; oxidative stress and autophagy were assessed. Results: Pretreatment with GDF11 significantly improved cardiac morphology and function in diabetes, concomitant with decreased arrhythmia severity, infarct size, CK-MB, LDH and 15-F2tisoprostane release, increased SOD activity and autophagy level. In addition, GDF11 notably reduced HR injury in H9c2 cells with HG exposure, accompanied by oxidative stress reduction and autophagy up-regulation. However, those effects were completely reversed by H2O2 and 3-MA. Conclusion: GDF11 can provide protection against MIR injury in diabetic rats, and is implicated in antioxidant stress and autophagy up-regulation.

Automatic and accurate segmentation of brain tissues from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is significantly important in the clinical applications and scientific research. In this paper, we proposed a novel brain tissue segmentation approach integrating multi-level features under the fully convolutional neural network framework. At first, a batch normalization inception module was employed to learn dense high-level features in the encoder stage. Secondly, the dense decoder shortcut connections were utilized to leverage multilevel features in the convolutional layers in the decoder stage, which allow for effective information propagation from one decoder block to another. And the fusion of multi-level features improves the accuracy of segmentation. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated on two commonly utilized brain MRI datasets.

In order to alleviate the pressure of energy and environment on human life and social development, the development of electric vehicle industry is very rapid. Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor ( IGBT ) module with superior performance has become the core component of electric vehicle converter. But limited heat dissipation space and complex packaging structure will cause excessive local temperature of the IGBT chip, and then the chip damaged. Therefore, the packaging structure of IGBT module for efficient heat dissipation is the key to ensure the safe and reliable operation of converters and even electric vehicles. Based on the double-sided forced liquid-cooled packaging structure of high-power IGBT module, a three-dimensional coupled model of heat conduction and coolant flow was established in this paper. Pressure distribution of cooling medium and temperature distribution of chips and the radiator at different inlet flow rates are calculated. The maximum temperature of chip surface and pressure difference between inlet and outlet under different inlet flow rates are analyzed. The results show that when the inlet flow rate is relatively small, the larger the inlet flow rate, the better the heat dissipation effect, but the greater the flow resistance; when the inlet flow rate reaches a certain value, the increase of flow rate can only greatly increase the flow resistance, but the heat dissipation is not obviously improved; the heat dissipation effect of liquid cooled radiator is non-uniform, the chip temperature near the inlet is lower, and the chip temperature near the outlet is higher. Finally, in order to alleviate the local high temperature of the chip near the outlet, graphene-based films (GBFs) were applied to the chips surface near the outlet in this model. The simulation results show that the maximum temperature of the outlet chip decreases to a certain extent with the same fluidity.

With the development of LED chip and packaging to the high power direction, improving the internal structure of the tube core and packaging, to solve the problem of heat dissipation, has become the mainstream direction of LED research. In this paper, a basic structure with sapphire epitaxial growth GaN flip-chip, film direct bonded copper substrate and array package was employed. Two-dimensional material graphene-based film with high thermal conductivity was applied into encapsulation structure of power LED to conduct transverse thermal diffusion of local hot spots, which would change the heat conduction path and improve the heat dissipation efficiency. Combined with the thermal resistance network of the power LED packaging structure and the simulation results of application in different ways of graphene-based film, the influence mechanism of graphene on the heat conduction of power devices was analyzed. It showed that the heat dissipation application of graphene in power LED packaging should be as close as possible to the GaN chip hot spots.

An improved control strategy of multi-terminal HVDC system based on V-I characteristics is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a traditional control based on the V-I characteristics of the converters is introduced, which only considers the DC voltage and circuit conditions of the receiving converter stations. The shortcoming is that it would result in an uncontrollable voltage deviation between the converter stations at each end. To solve it, an improved scheme is designed by updating the reference DC voltage of all the converters. For a further validation, simulations of a three terminal HVDC system have been carried out in PSCAD/EMTDC. The results show that the proposed strategy has a good performance.

We consider a model of single-item periodic-review inventory system with stochastic demand, linear ordering cost, where in each time period, the system must order either none or at least as much as a minimum order quantity (MOQ). Optimal inventory policies for such a system are typically too complicated to implement in practice. In fact, the (s, S) type of policies are often utilized in the real world. We study the performance of a simple heuristic policy that is easily implementable because it is specified by only two parameters (s, t). We develop an algorithm to compute the optimal values for these parameters in the infinite time horizon under the average cost criterion. Through an extensive numerical study, we demonstrate that the best (s, t) heuristic policy has performance close to that of the optimal policies when the coefficient of variation of the demand distribution is not very small. Furthermore, the best (s, t) policy always outperforms the best feasible (s, S) policies and on average the percentage differences are significant. Despite the rapid development of agricultural robotics, a lack of access to automatic fruit detection and precision picking is limiting the commercial application of harvesting robots. An algorithm for the automatic detection of ripe tomatoes in greenhouse was developed for a simple machine vision system. The images of tomato planting scenes were captured by a colour digital camera, and most of the ripe tomatoes were correctly recognised using the proposed algorithm. The proposed tomato detection approach worked in two steps: (1) by extracting the Haar-like features of grey scale image and classifying with the AdaBoost classifier, the possible tomato objects were identified; (2) the false negatives in the results of classification were eliminated using average pixel value (APV) based colour analysis approach. Comparative test results showed that the C style of Haar-like features and I component image were optimum in the proposed algorithm. The results of validation experiments show that combination of AdaBoost classification and colour analysis can correctly detect over 96% of ripe tomatoes in the real-world environment. However, the false negative rate was about 10% and 3.5% of the tomatoes were not detected.

Generally speaking, the exploration and production (E&P) cost of oil from offshore is much higher than that of oil from onshore, so it is more sensitive to oil price. However, in recent years, oil price has been hovering at a low level for a long time, almost close to or even lower than the E&P cost of oil, which directly affects the development of oilfields. Besides the influence of oil price, some oilfields present the characteristics of marginal reserve scale, short peak production period and output rapidly declining. There leads to short economic life period and makes the economic benefit close to or lower than oilfield’s hurdle rate, which increases the difficulty of offshore oilfield development. As an important part of oilfield development, Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit, its investment mode and rent mode directly affect overall oilfield’s rate of return and the economic life. This paper chooses lease mode as the research object based on the analysis of investment mode, and further puts forward rent mode related with oil price through the analysis of traditional rent mode, and illustrates the advantages and disadvantages of various rent modes and their applicability so that the lessor chooses the right mode to achieve Win-Win with Oil Company and promotes the development of oilfields under low oil price.

A single cheating mutant can lead to the invasion and eventual eradication of cooperation from a population. Consequently, cheat invasion is often considered equal to extinction in empirical and theoretical studies of cooperator-cheat dynamics. But does cheat invasion necessarily equate extinction in nature? By following the social dynamics of iron metabolism in Pseudomonas aeruginosa during cystic fibrosis lung infection, we observed that individuals evolved to replace cooperation with a ‘private’ behaviour. Phenotypic assays showed that cooperative iron acquisition frequently was upregulated early in infection, which, however, increased the risk of cheat invasion. With whole-genome sequencing we showed that if, and only if, cooperative iron acquisition is lost from the population, a private system was upregulated. The benefit of upregulation depended on iron availability. These findings highlight the importance of social dynamics of natural populations and emphasizes the potential impact of past social interaction on the evolution of private traits.

BACKGROUND Prostatitis is a common urologic disease with a high prevalence and a significant negative impact on the quality of life. There is a lack of clear understanding of the pathogenesis of prostatitis, there are no rapid diagnostic methods nor effective treatment methods. The present study explored the cytokine profiles in expressed prostatic secretions of prostatitis in the hope of obtaining specific diagnostic biomarkers for prostatitis. METHODS Cytokine antibody arrays, ELISA, and immunohistochemical staining were used to detect the levels and origin of cytokines in expressed prostatic secretions. The diagnostic value of adiponectin as an inflammatory indicator for sub-classification of prostatitis type III were evaluated. RESULTS The results showed that adiponectin levels in prostatitis type IIIa (577.72 ± 558.86 ng/mL) were higher than in prostatitis type IIIb (124.82 (75.81, 241.04) ng/mL) and healthy controls (76.08 (23.34, 204.81) ng/mL), and that the adiponectin levels in prostatitis type IV (207.10 (128.02, 454.31) ng/mL) had a significant correlation with the white blood cell count in expressed prostatic secretion. Our results indicate that adiponectin had a moderate diagnostic value as an inflammatory indicator for sub-classification of prostatitis type III. CONCLUSIONS It suggests that adiponectin plays an important role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory prostatitis and could be developed as a rapid laboratory test indicating inflammation in prostatitis.

With the development of online social networks, a special group of online users named organized posters (or Internet water army, Internet paid posters in some literatures) have flooded the social network communities. They are organized in groups to post with specific purposes and sometimes even confuse or mislead normal users. In this paper, we study the individual and group characteristics of organized posters. A classifier is constructed based on the individual and group characteristics to detect them. Extensive experimental results on three real datasets demonstrate that our method based on individual and group characteristics using SVM model (IGCSVM) is effective in detecting organized posters and better than existing methods. We take a first look at finding the promoters based on the detected organized posters of our IGCSVM method. Our experiments show that it is effective in detecting promoters.

We identified and mapped ecotourism areas in the First Meander of the Yellow River (FMYR) by incorporating tourist preferences, and regional division was also conducted. Considering wetland protection and local natural worship, we identified available ecotourism areas and used GIS to overlay six layers of the criteria to generate a suitability map of available areas. This process incorporated the opinions of 158 tourists to weight each criterion. Available areas were classified into five levels of suitability, with class I being the least suitable for ecotourism and class V being the most suitable. Distance from water area was found to be the most important criterion, and presence of forest to be the least important. The results show that a majority of the FMYR is class II, III or IV. A new analytical model was developed to evaluate the performance of Multistage Interconnection Networks (MIN) using finite output-buffered switching elements. Results produced by the model for both uniform and non-uniform traffic patterns were better than those by an existing model and simulation. The model can account for the blocking behavior of packets, which correlate packet movement between consecutive network cycles. Accurate results from Markov chain-based analytical models for MINs are obtained by carefully considering the states of buffers in two adjacent stages.

According to the principle of a novel integration method with stabilizing voltage and frequency, UPS, intelligent charging for mobile power supply proposed by authors, the mobile UPS system has been developed in this paper. The system is designed by the inverter NB70124 with integration functions and the additional peripheral configuration, such as the touch screen, the circuit breaker, and so on. The following works have been done in the study: the configuration of the mobile UPS system, communication between the touch screen and the inverter, GUI of the mobile UPS system. The system can be realized functions, such as the generating electricity, outputting stabilizing voltage and frequency, UPS, and intelligent charging. By the system, the high precision voltage amplitude and frequency is supply to outdoor load, and the UPS state is maintained.

Objective The objective of this study was to retrospectively study the outcomes of large vestibular schwannoma resection through the suboccipital retrosigmoid keyhole approach and emphasize technical details and advantages of surgical resection of large vestibular schwannomas via this approach. Methods From January 2010 to September 2012, 37 consecutive patients (16 men and 21 women) with vestibular schwannoma, 4 cm or greater, received surgical resection through the suboccipital retrosigmoid keyhole approach in our department. Clinical records, radiographic findings, operative summaries, and follow-up data were analyzed retrospectively. Results The mean age of these patients was 45.1 ± 11.6 years. Thirty-six patients underwent primary keyhole surgical removal, and 1 underwent surgery for residual tumor after gamma knife. Gross total tumor removal was accomplished in 35 patients (94.6%), near total resection in 1 (2.7%), and subtotal resection in 1 patient (2.7%). The facial nerve was anatomically intact in all 37 patients (100%). Facial nerve function was assessed in 6 to 12 months after operation. Good function (House-Brackmann facial nerve grade I-II) was present in 81.1% of the patients, whereas acceptable function (grade III) was present in 11.1%. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage that required surgical intervention occurred in only 5.4% of the patients, and meningitis occurred in 8.1%. In addition, 3 patients (8.1%) had hydrocephalus requiring a temporary ventricular diversion. There were no deaths. Conclusions The suboccipital retrosigmoid keyhole approach is a valid choice for removing large vestibular schwannomas. Through this approach, cerebellopontine angle can be effectively exposed. Skills to protect facial nerve and extensive experience in microsurgical techniques can significantly improve the total resection rate and postoperative facial nerve function. The authors recommend this approach for patients with vestibular schwannomas larger than 3 to 4 cm.

In power system, measurement and control device plays an important role in maintaining an ideal level of reliability. Therefore, the reliability of the measurement and control device should be evaluated to fully understand the cause of its failure. A new evaluation model is proposed, which relates the fault of measurement and control system with the four main reasons of device hardware fault, software fault, auxiliary equipment fault and human fault. In addition, the model can also comprehensively consider other aspects of the measurement and control system, such as human error in testing and software upgrade, effectiveness of daily operation monitoring, degree of dependence on self-inspection, local backup and misoperation. These studies have a lot of significance to the reliability of the control system, and also can effectively improve the stability of the system.
