To quantitatively investigate the system stability margin and provide systematic design guidance for the hybrid dual-infeed high-voltage direct current (HVdc) system, this article develops a dynamic multi-input–multi-output (MIMO) transfer function model for the hybrid dual-infeed HVdc system, consisting of a line-commutated converter-based HVdc (LCC-HVdc) link and a modular multilevel converter-based HVdc (MMC-HVdc) link located in close mutual proximity at the receiving side. Then, based on the individual channel analysis and design (ICAD) theory, the equivalent single-input–single-output (SISO) feedback control model is developed without structural information loss, which has the advantage of quantitative evaluation for the system stability margin. Then, the impacts of the ac system strength and control system on the system stability margin are quantitatively evaluated by gain margin (GM) and phase margin (PM) indexes based on the derived SISO model. Moreover, the coupling effect between the ac system strength and the control parameters is also studied. The obtained results from the theoretical analysis and the detailed electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation in PSCAD/EMTDC validate the accuracy of the derived SISO feedback control model and the correctness of the theoretical findings.

The ring laser gyro (RLG) light intensity mode-scanning curve is the basis of the frequency stabilization, and also is the basic characterization of the oscillation characteristics for RLG ring laser and is one of the important signs of the gyro performance. By introducing a new parameter which called mode height, other characteristics of the light intensity mode-scanning curve were described. The mode height of the light intensity mode-scanning curve was the maximum variation of the corresponded light intensity under conditions of one 0.632 8 μm cavity length change, which was a characteristic quantity reflecting the sharpness of the light intensity mode-scanning curve. This characteristic quantity was directly related to the gyro frequency stabilization accuracy and the frequency stabilization response time. The higher the mode height, the higher the corresponding frequency stabilization accuracy, and the shorter the frequency stabilization response time. The physical mechanism of the mode height in RLG scanning process was analyzed theoretically, and the main factors affecting the mode height were determined. Through the theoretical analysis and the numerical simulation, it is concluded that: by increasing the curvature radius of spherical mirror, increasing the cavity length, reducing the loss and increasing the gain, the mode height of the RLG light intensity mode-scanning curve can be increased more than 3 times, which has important guiding significance and practical engineering value for improving the frequency stabilization accuracy, shortening the frequency stabilization response time, reducing the nonlinear error of gyro proportional factor, and improving the fast stability of RLG.

Objective: To analyze the role of serum sortilin in coronary artery calcification (CAC) and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (CCE) in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods: One hundred eleven patients with MHD ≥3 months were included in this study. The general data, clinical features, hematological data, and medication history of the patients were recorded. Eighty-five cases were examined by vascular color Doppler ultrasound, cardiac color Doppler ultrasound, lateral lumbar radiography, and coronary artery calcification score. The patients were followed up for a median time of 45 months. The primary endpoint was CCE or death from a vascular event, and the role of sortilin in this process was analyzed. Results: Among 85 MHD patients, 51 cases (60.00%) had different degrees of CAC. There were significant differences in diabetes, dialysis time, serum phosphorus, calcium-phosphorus product, medical history of phosphate binders, sortilin, and carotid artery plaque between 4 different degrees of calcification groups (p < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes (OR = 5.475; 95% CI: 1.794–16.71, p = 0.003), calcium-phosphorus product (OR = 2.953; 95% CI: 1.198–7.279, p = 0.019), and sortilin (OR = 1.475 per 100 pg/mL; 95% CI: 1.170–1.858, p = 0.001) were independent risk factors for CAC. During the follow-up, 28 cases of 111 patients (25.23%) suffered from CCE. There were significant differences in CCE between mild, moderate, and severe CAC groups and noncalcification groups (p < 0.05). Cox regression analysis showed that diabetes mellitus (HR 3.424; 95% CI: 1.348–8.701, p = 0.010), CAC (HR 5.210; 95% CI: 1.093–24.83, p = 0.038), and serum sortilin (HR = 8.588; 95% CI: 1.919–38.43, p = 0.005) were independent risk factors for CCE. Besides, we proposed a cutoff value of 418 pg/mL for serum sortilin level, which was able to predict the occurrence of CCE with 75.0% sensitivity and 71.9% specificity. The area under the curve was 0.778 (95% CI: 0.673–0.883). Conclusion: Sortilin is newly found to be independently associated with CAC and CCE in MHD patients.

In order to rationally design the capacity of each energy coupling unit of the integrated energy system, effectively coordinate and optimize the control of the integrated energy system equipment. This paper proposes an improved cloud adaptive particle swarm algorithm design control method. First, three busbars and multi-energy coupling equipment models based on electric, thermal, and gas loads are established, and then the model has better global optimization capabilities and defenses. Then, an improved cloud adaptive particle swarm algorithm with better global optimization capabilities and anti-premature convergence characteristics is used to optimize the annual economic optimization model established to meet the power balance constraints of each bus and energy coupling equipment. Finally, under the conditions of output constraints and system energy purchase constraints, taking a typical park as an example, the simulation verifies the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper in the optimization design and control operation of the integrated energy system.

Introduction: Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is an iatrogenic serious complication during assisted reproductive technology, the aim of our research is to explore the differences of pregnancy outcome between severe OHSS patients and the non-OHSS IVF patients, and also compare the pregnancy outcome of different ascites drainage way of severe OHSS patients.Design: This is a retrospective cohort analysis carried out in a University-affiliated reproductive center from 2012 to 2019 ,between 359 women with severe OHSS following ascites draining and 345 non-OHSS women (matched by age and retrieved oocyte number). We examined the rates of clinical pregnancy, multiple pregnancies, miscarriage, live birth and preterm delivery between the two groups. Within the OHSS group (central venous catheter group vs paracentesis group), odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of measure of clinical pregnancy were also analyzed.Result: The biochemical pregnancy loss rate of non-OHSS patients was significantly higher than that of severe OHSS patients (11.1% vs 0.6%) , the live birth, multiple pregnancy (twin pregnancy ) was much more in severe OHSS group than in control group(88.9% vs 73.5%; 57.6% vs 28.1% respectively), and there was no significant difference between singleton and twin preterm rate and neonatal birth weight between OHSS and control group. Binary logistic regression analysis revealed multiple pregnancy and long-protocol showed relatively high odds ratio, suggest that thelong-protocol of COS and multiple pregnancy are the risk factor of severe OHSS.Among severe OHSS following ascites draining, in comparison with abdominal paracentesis and central venous catheter, the ascites volume in central venous catheter group was much more than abdominal paracentesis group, there was significant difference between the two groups. There was no significant difference between the two groups in comparison of live birth, and the birth weight of singleton and twin between these two groups. but the premature birth rate of singleton in group 1 was 9.3% (10/107), whereas in group 2, it was 3.75%.Conclusion: In conclusion, this preliminary report suggests that for the IVF-ET patients, less basic follicle number, GnRH antagonist cycle, singleton maybe the protective factors for the late-onset OHSS. Paracentesis and central venous catheter are all the effective modality to manage the ascites for the severe OHSS patients. For the patients who have the possibility of repeated paracentesis, catheter is a safe and effective way.

Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is a newly developed technique by which impedance measurements from the surface of an object are reconstructed into impedance image. The two-dimensional (2-D) EIT problem is regarded as a simplified model. As 2-D model cannot physically represent the three-dimensional (3-D) structure, the spatial information of the place where the impedance is changed by some diseases cannot be detected accurately. Therefore, 3-D EIT is necessary. In this paper, the finite element method (FEM) of 3-D EIT forward problem is presented. A sphere model is studied. The tetrahedron element is used in the meshing. Two types of sphere model, uniform model and multiplayer model are analyzed. The uniform sphere model, to which the analytical solution is applicable, is used to verify the developed FEM as well as examine the accuracy. The comparison between the numerical solution and the analytical solution shows the correctness of the developed FEM for EIT forward problem. The multiplayer model, four-layer model and three-layer model, is used to investigate the physical potential distribution inside the inhomogeneous sphere model. Reasonable potential distributions are obtained. Index Terms--Electrical impedance tomography (EIT), finite element method (FEM), forward problem, inverse problem.

It is significant to research the voltage stability of the wind power centralized system (WPCS) for the effective development of the large scale clustering wind energy resources. A steady state voltage stability analysis of the WPCS by employing the PV curve and model analysis is proposed to reveal the voltage stability influence from different aspects. The PV curve is utilized to trace and indicate the voltage collapse point of the WPCS when the small disturbance of wind power is increased gradually. Then the steady state voltage instability modes of the WPCS are analyzed by calculating the bus participation factors of the minimum eigenvalue model at the collapse point. The simulation results of an actual WPCS in North China show that the static state voltage instability mode of the WPCS is closely related to the operating features and control strategies of different reactive power sources. In addition, the implementation of the doubly-fed induction generator wind turbine generator voltage control is beneficial to improve the WPCS voltage stability.

An elevated-temperature in situ microtomography apparatus that can measure internal damage parameters under tensile loads at high temperatures up to 1000 °C is developed using a laboratory x-ray source. The maximum resolution of the apparatus can reach 3 µm by a reasonable design. A high-temperature environment is accomplished by means of a heating chamber based on a radiation technique using four halogen lamps with ellipsoidal reflectors. To obtain high resolution, the chamber is much smaller in the direction of the x-ray beam than in the other two directions. Two thin aluminum windows are chosen as the chamber walls perpendicular to and intersecting the x-ray beam. A material testing machine equipped with two synchronous rotating motors is specially designed for mechanical loading and 360° rotation of the specimen, and customized grips are developed to conduct tensile tests. A microfocus x-ray source and a high-resolution detector are used to produce and detect X rays, and the distances among the x-ray source, specimen, and high-resolution detector can be adjusted to obtain different resolutions. To show the main functions and usability of the apparatus, carbon-fiber-reinforced silicon-carbide matrix specimens are subjected to in situ x-ray microtomography tensile tests at 800 °C and 1000 °C, and the crack propagation behavior under thermomechanical coupling loads is studied.

The hybrid multi-terminal Ultra-HVDC (UHVDC) transmission system combines the advantages of line commutated converter (LCC) and voltage source converter (VSC). It can meet long-distance and large-capacity power transfer requirements from multiple power supplies to multiple power receiving system. To balance the voltages between series-connected high-end converter (HEC) and low-end converter (LEC) of the power-controlled VSC station in hybrid multi-terminal UHVDC system, this paper investigates the inherent mechanism of voltage imbalance issue in the power-controlled VSC station, and then proposes a decentralized and autonomous voltage balancing control approach, which can be easily implemented in the practical engineering. Then, a hybrid three-terminal UHVDC system is developed in PSCAD/EMTDC, based on the scheme of the under-constructed Wudongde hybrid three-terminal UHVDC project (±800 kV, 8000 MW), and the effectiveness of the proposed voltage balancing control approach is investigated under steady-state, power step-change and AC fault conditions. The results show that, with the proposed control approach, the voltage-balance between series-connected converters in the power-controlled VSC station can be realized under different operating conditions.

Background Despite that the urge urinary incontinence (UUI) is a nonfatal disease, it can lead to anxiety, embarrassment and depression to the patient. UUI is a common public health problem that can significantly affect the quality of life of the patient. Several conservative treatments have been recommended for the treatment of UUI; however, their efficiency remains unclear, leaving the disease without a real effective treatment. The clinical application of acupuncture to treat UUI is currently considered an effective approach despite the limited evidence that support its efficiency. The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture therapy in the treatment of UUI. Methods and analysis A randomized, parallel, controlled study will be performed. Patients with UUI treated with electroacupuncture group (EA) will compare with the sham-treated sham EA (SA) patients. A total of 100 participants with UUI will be randomly allocated to either the EA or the SA group with a 1:1 ratio. The treatment of UUI patients will performed 3 times per week, for 8 weeks in 30-minute sessions. At the end of the treatment the patients will be followed-up until week 32. The primary outcomes include scores of incontinence questionnaire-short form, the average 24-hour urgency incontinence episodes, and the average 24-hour urge episodes responses from baseline until the 4th, 8th , 24th, and 32nd week. The secondary outcomes included the average 24-hour urine volume and the average 24-hour micturition frequency responses from baseline until the 8th and 32nd week, as well as the change in incontinence quality of life scores from baseline at the 8th and 32nd week. In addition, the degree of satisfaction of the participants undergoing acupuncture treatment will be measured at the 4th and 8th week. The participants' clinical acupuncture expectations were evaluated at baseline, and the questionnaire for urinary incontinence diagnosis was used to identify stress incontinence, mixed urinary incontinence, and urge incontinence at baseline. Discussion This is a randomized, controlled, observer-blinded trial of electroacupuncture treatment for UUI. The results of this trial will provide more evidence on whether electroacupuncture is efficacious for treating UUI.

The implementation of developing the wind power is an important way to achieve the low-carbon power system. However, the voltage stability issues caused by the random fluctuations of active power output and the irrational regulations of reactive power compensation equipment have become the prominent problems of the regions where large-scale wind power integrated. In view of these problems, this paper proposed an optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) strategy of wind power plants cluster (WPPC) considering static voltage stability for low-carbon power system. The control model of the ORPD strategy was built according to the wind power prediction, the present operation information and the historical operation information. By utilizing the automatic voltage control capability of wind power plants and central substations, the ORPD strategy can achieve differentiated management between the discrete devices and the dynamic devices of the WPPC. Simulation results of an actual WPPC in North China show that the ORPD strategy can improve the voltage control performance of the pilot nodes and coordinate the operation between discrete devices and the dynamic devices, thus maintaining the static voltage stability as well.

It is significant to research the voltage security of the wind power centralized system (WPCS) for the effective development of the large scale clustering wind energy resources. Firstly, an actual WPCS in the Three-North regions of China is employed to analyze the voltage security problem quantitatively. By analyzing the reactive power response features of the wind turbines and the reactive power sources, the time domain simulation method is utilized to discuss the main causes and the development process of the WPCS transient voltage security accident. On this basis, a transient voltage security control strategy of the WPCS is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed control strategy can suppress the occurrence of the wind turbines' cascading trip-off which is caused by the excessive reactive power.

Based on saliency and grayscale morphological reconstruction, a new detection algorithm for infrared dim and small targets is proposed in this paper. The saliency of the original image to obtain the region of interest (ROI) is analyzed, then the spatial domain characteristic of dim and small targets is introduced into the marker image. Grayscale morphological reconstruction is based on the marker image and the mask image (the original image). Because saliency efficiently concentrates the gradient difference of the targets, detection probability is improved also with little false alarms. As the role of recognition, spatial domain characteristic of target reduces false alarm probability with the same detection probability, and background can be well estimated by grayscale morphological reconstruction, after subtraction, dim and small targets are detected. Experiments of real data prove the better detection performance, especially higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

Random fluctuation of active power output and wide variety of reactive power equipment are some of the typical characteristics of large scale wind farms cluster (WFC). In view of these characteristics, this paper proposed a coordinated strategy for reactive power and voltage control of WFC considering the influence of the wind power fluctuation. The control model of this strategy was built according to the wind power prediction, the present operation information and the historical operation information. By utilizing the automatic voltage control capability of wind farms and central substations, this strategy could achieve differentiated management between the discrete devices and the dynamic devices of WFC. The simulation results of an actual WFC in North China showed that the proposed strategy could not only improve the voltage control performance of the pilot bus, but also coordinate the operation between discrete devices and the dynamic devices and maintain the static voltage stability as well.

Orchard target-oriented variable rate spraying is an effective method to reduce pesticide drift and excessive residues. To accomplish this task, the orchard targets' characteristic information is needed to control liquid flow rate and airflow rate. One of the most important characteristics is the canopy density. In order to establish the canopy density model for a planar orchard target which is indispensable for canopy density calculation, a target density detection testing system was developed based on an ultrasonic sensor. A time-domain energy analysis method was employed to analyze the ultrasonic signal. Orthogonal regression central composite experiments were designed and conducted using man-made canopies of known density with three or four layers of leaves. Two model equations were obtained, of which the model for the canopies with four layers was found to be the most reliable. A verification test was conducted with different layers at the same density values and detecting distances. The test results showed that the relative errors of model density values and actual values of five, four, three and two layers of leaves were acceptable, while the maximum relative errors were 17.68%, 25.64%, 21.33% and 29.92%, respectively. It also suggested the model equation with four layers had a good applicability with different layers which increased with adjacent layers.

An AVC strategy coordinating the wind farm substation central compensation devices and doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) is proposed to solve the voltage and reactive power issue caused by large scale wind farm integration. The first goal of this strategy is to bind the voltage of the point of interconnection of wind farm to the reference value given by the higher level control, and the second goal is to give priority to the reactive power output of DFIGs to ensure the dynamic compensation devices could have enough reactive power reserves and meanwhile equipoise voltage reserves among all the controlled DFIGs. The strategy is based on the real time monitoring and control platform, and the interior point filter algorithm is used to solve such a multi-objective optimization model. The simulation results of a wind farm in North China validate the proposed model and strategy.

In this paper, we describe a modified algorithm based on the multi-scale morphological derivative (MMD) transform. By introducing the 'wing' function and by delineating the time interval over which the location of the T-wave end are searched, the T wave pattern and T wave length can be determined. According to the different lengths of T waves, different scales are calculated to perform the MMD transform. According to our experiments, we find the formula to calculate the transform scales which is significant for the MMD detector processing lots of signals with various waveforms effectively in real time system.

In order to describe propeller slipstream interactions with other components and assess the capability and applicability of different methods in propeller slipstream simulation, the flow fields and aerodynamics of propeller/nacelle and propeller/wing models at different work status are calculated. Numerical methods used for comparisons are unsteady method in which propeller is accurately simulated with body-fitted grid and quasi-steady approach where propeller is modeled as an actuator-disk. The solver used is based on unstructured embedded grid technique and OMP parallel method, Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations associated with the one-equation Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model are solved and the governing equations are discretized by a second-order upwind finite-volume scheme and dual time-stepping scheme. The results for propeller/nacelle and propeller/wing configuration in axial flow conditions, which contain the induced velocity in axial and azimuthal directions and aerodynamics obtained by different methods, are compared. Meanwhile, effect of propeller installation to wing loads under differentincidence flow angles is discussed further, and some meaningful conclusions are drawn.

By combining two groups of three-phase power lines, a modeling that can induce power frequency electromagnetic fields has been presented. Charge simulation method and Biot-Savart law have respectively been adopted to compute the three-dimensional electric and magnetic fields in exposed environment of the modeling. Simulations indicate that the intensity of electric field can reach up to 5 kil-volt per meter (kV/m) at ground level, and the magnetic flux density can amount to 15 microtesla (microT). A comparison has been conducted between the environments that mice and human bodies are exposed to. The paper concluded that the modeling can be utilized in studying white mice simultaneous exposure to power frequency electric field and magnetic field emitted from transmission lines.
