The Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture is working to increase exports of Indonesian white jasmine flowers. These efforts will be realized more quickly if the competitiveness and development potential of commodity in various export destination countries are known. Therefore, this study aims to determine the competitiveness and development potential of white jasmine flower exports. The data used is the 2010-2019 time series data sourced from UN-COMTRADE and the trade map. The data were analyzed by using RCA to determine the competitiveness of commodities, followed by EPD to determine the position of the commodity market and the last stage with the X-model analysis to determine the potential for export development. The results show that the competitiveness of Indonesian white jasmine flowers is strong in China, Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Singapore and the United States and that Indonesian white jasmine flowers have potential in the optimistic category in Australia, Vietnam and Singapore and potential in China, Japan, Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States. This optimistic and potential market potential can be seized by Indonesia by striving for the quality of white jasmine flowers in accordance with the demands of export destination countries.

A frequently mentioned factor holding back the introduction of new vaccines on the market are their prohibitively long development timelines. These hamper their potential societal benefit and impairs the ability to quickly respond to emerging new pathogens. This is especially worrisome since new pathogens are emerging at all-time high rates of over one per year, and many age-old pathogens are still not vaccine preventable.Through interviews with 20 key-opinion-leaders (KOLs), this study identified innovation barriers that increase vaccine development timelines. These innovation barriers were visualized, and their underlying causes revealed by means of qualitative root cause analysis. Based on a survey the innovation barriers were quantitatively ranked based on their relative impact on both regular, and Covid-19 vaccine development timelines. KOLs identified 20 key innovation barriers, and mapping these barriers onto the Vaccine Innovation Cycle model revealed that all phases of vaccine development were affected. Affected by most barriers is the area between the preclinical studies and the market entry. Difficult hand-off between academia and industry, lack of funding, and lack of knowledge of pathogen targets were often mentioned as causes. Quantitative survey responses from 93 KOLs showed that general vaccine development and Covid-19 vaccine development are impacted by distinct sets of innovation barriers. For the general vaccine development three barriers were perceived of the highest impact; limited ROI for vaccines addressing disease with limited market size, limited ROI for vaccines compared to non-vaccine projects, and academia not being able to progress beyond proof of principle. Of highest impact on Covid-19 vaccine development, are lack of knowledge concerning pathogen target, high risk of upscaling unlicensed vaccines, and proof of principle not meeting late-stage requirements. In conclusion, the current study demonstrates that barriers hampering timelines in vaccine development are present across the Vaccine Innovation Cycle. Prioritizing the impact of barriers in general, and in Covid-19 vaccine development, shows clear differences that can be used to inform policies to speed up development in both war and peace time.

Tuna commodities of Aceh Province is one of the export-oriented commodities with the potential of large fishery resources and high demand in the international market this is an opportunity for Aceh Province to become a major producer and exporter of fishery commodities especially tuna. However, based on data obtained from BPS (2019), the number of tuna is exported by Aceh Province is still low and even decrease every year. The purpose of this research is to determine the competitiveness in terms of comparative advantages in tuna in Aceh Province. This study was conducted in Aceh Province using time series data for nine years from 2011 to 2019. The object of the study was frozen and fresh yellowfin tuna. The scope of research is limited to the export value of tuna in Aceh Province, the total export value of Aceh Province, the export value of world tuna and the total value of world exports. The analysis method used in this study was Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) method. The results showed that the Aceh Province tuna have strong competitiveness or have comparative advantages in the international market.

The spice commodity has long been a mainstay of Indonesian exports to the world. Therefore, export of spice commodities needs to be maintained and increased in value in order to balance Indonesia’s trade balance. The potential of the European Union 15 as a large export market for Indonesian spices, so the export of spice commodities must be increased. The current worsening situation (the Sino-United States trade war) has increased the urgency of Indonesia’s exports to other countries. Specifically, this study aims to see the comparative development of Indonesian spice exports to the European Union 15. Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) and Trade Balance Index (TBI) are used to determine the position of export competitiveness of spices in the European Union 15. The results showed that the RCA value for nutmeg, pepper and cloves > 1 so that the commodity is a competitive spice commodity and is in the maturity stage because it has a TBI> 0.8. Ginger has no competitiveness and is still in the export growth stage. This research conducted a structural and analysis of the foreign trade position of the Republic of Serbia, with special emphasis on agricultural and food products, in order to provide detailed information regarding current trends, measuring the level of comparative advantage and international position in the world and European markets. The obtained results indicate the elements that have a limiting effect on the development of this type of production. Using the RCA Index methodology and the Lafay's Index, the link between the food industry and the character of industrial exchange was established, which is measured by the Grubel Lloyd's Index. The structure of exports was analyzed from the aspect of factor intensity, so the existence of negative values of a comparative advantage and intensive goods was confirmed. Finally, we believe that the results obtained have contributed to the unraveling of available instruments, the eventual efficient use of which would help rural development, and thus the overall economic development of the Republic of Serbia.

Purpose This paper aims to provide a snapshot of various countries’ contributions to value produced along global value chains (GVCs). It focusses on manufacturing activities and their evolution over time, in the context of GVC regionalisation. Design/methodology/approach The Trade in Value Added (TiVA) and World Integrated Trade Solution databases for the period of 2005-2015 were used to explore the case of Italy and its industries’ specialisations (Made in Italy): fashion, furniture, automotive and machinery traditionally organised into clusters. Various analyses were used to show the dynamics of gross import–export and imported–exported value-added. Moreover, the revealed comparative advantage index was computed to test whether the Made in Italy sector remains a source of competitive advantage for Italy within GVCs. Findings The results highlight how the geography of value-added is changing over time, with growing importance placed on the countries close to Italy and with a different pace according to each considered GVC. Originality/value The paper applied new methods to compare trade and analyse value-added dynamics through a recent database released by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development within the TiVA initiative that is useful for scholars and policymakers.

As the technology is emerging, the process industries are actively migrating to Industry 4.0 to optimize energy, production, profit, and the quality of products. It should be noted that real-time process monitoring is the area where most of the energies are being placed for the sake of optimization and safety. Big data and knowledge-based platforms are receiving much attention to provide a comprehensive decision support system. In this study, the Advanced Advisory system for Anomalies (AAA) is developed to predict and detect the abnormal operation in fired heaters for real-time process safety and optimization in a petrochemical plant. This system predicts and raises an alarm for future problems and detects and diagnoses abnormal conditions using root cause analysis (RCA), using the combination of FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis) and FTA (fault tree analysis) techniques. The developed AAA system has been integrated with databases in a petrochemical plant, and the results have been validated well by testing the application over an extensive period. This AAA online system provides a flexible architecture, and it can also be integrated into other systems or databases available at different levels in a plant. This automated AAA platform continuously monitors the operation, checks the dynamic conditions configured in it, and raises an alarm if the statistics exceed their control thresholds. Moreover, the effect of heaters’ abnormal conditions on efficiency and other KPIs (key performance indicators) is studied to explore the scope of improvement in heaters’ operation.

The increasing use and distribution of chemicals are causing serious chemical accidents such as fires, explosions, and leaks during manufacturing and handling. In most cases, all risks caused by chemicals are classified as accidents due to defects in process facilities, human errors, and multi-cause accidents. Among chemical accidents caused by human errors, accurate analysis of accidents caused by the complex action of various types of human failures is required. Based on the accident investigation reports that occurred in South Korea from 2010 to 2017, chemical accidents caused by human failure were analyzed, and the fundamental causes were derived by classifying them into human error and violation. Human failure was analyzed according to the classification criteria for human failure of health and safety executive (HSE). As a result of the analysis, several types of human failure acted in combination to be a more significant cause of chemical accidents, incorrect application of process rules and procedures, inappropriate chemical information, lack of education, and defects in the current safety regulation were analyzed as the main causes. In addition, the cause of human errors was presented through case studies of chemical accidents in South Korea.

Rubber is one of Indonesia's leading plantation commodities that is oriented to the international market with export destination countries to several countries. Rubber provides a positive contribution to the economy because it generates foreign exchange for the country. This study aims to analyze (1) the factors that influence the price of Indonesian natural rubber exports and (2) the position of Indonesia's rubber competitiveness in comparative and international competitive advantages. This study uses time-series data is from 1995 to 2017. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression for influence factors the price of Indonesian natural rubber exports, while to analyze the position competitiveness of Indonesian natural rubber that is by using a revealed comparative advantage (RCA), and competitive advantage by using the Trade Specialization Index approach (TSI). The results of this study show (1) the factor that significantly affects the price of Indonesia's natural rubber exports are international rubber prices, exchange rate, and domestic consumption. (2) Based on competitiveness analysis, through Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) indicate that the competitiveness of Indonesia's natural rubber exports on the international market has a comparative advantage seen from 1995-2017 with an average value of RCA> 1 which is equal to 1.01. While the competitive advantage for the competitiveness of Indonesian rubber exports is at the maturation stage. This condition occurs because the value of the Trade Specialization Index (TSI) approaches 1, which is 0.98.

The paper is an analysis of foreign trade of the post-Soviet countries conducted for years 2000 and 2015. The aims of the research were thus twofold: to examine the bilateral trade scheme for the selected countries and to attempt to explore relations between competitiveness and thus the position of the agricultural commodity aggregates. The UN COMTRADE database was used. In the monitored countries, there is continuous growth of the commodity aggregate 0 - Food and live animals, which is strongly influenced by the commodity sub-aggregates 02 - Dairy products and bird eggs, S3-04 - Cereals and cereal preparations. The first phase entailed calculations of individual indicators of mutual trade (RCA, LFI, GLI and coverage of import). Subsequently, the indicators were used as input variables for further analyses. Using RCA and LFI indexes, the commodity aggregates were classified into 4 quadrants according to their position within the comparative advantage and competitiveness. Using a cluster analysis (based on Euclidian distance and Ward's method), individual commodity aggregates for the monitored countries were divided into groups based on the values of GLI, LFI and coverage of import. The groups were subsequently characterized for individual countries. Based on the conducted analyses, it can be stated that hypothesis 0 about the non-existence of significant changes within the group structure does not reflect the reality. Between 2000 and 2015, substantial changes occurred in terms of dividing the commodity aggregates into groups based on their common characteristics with regard to foreign trade. In addition, the diversity within foreign trade decreased between 2000 and 2015, and more commodity aggregates attain values around or below the average of a given aggregate. When assessing the intra-industry trade, it can be stated that some commodity aggregates can be regarded as important only with regard to Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. In these countries, this phenomenon is most frequently evident in the commodity aggregates Beverages or Vegetables and fruit.

In 2000, "To Err Is Human" brought to light the fact that the estimated number of people dying from medical errors occurring in hospitals exceeded those that die from motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), breast cancer, or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) - three causes receiving far more public attention. The report prompted the gradual adoption of safety processes developed in the nuclear and aviation industries. However, sophisticated engineering solutions to operations are not enough. High and low mortality hospitals have similar processes and procedures, but low-mortality hospitals are more proficient at recognizing and managing serious complications as they unfold. This ability to rescue a deteriorating situation (resilience) reflects a healthier safety culture. Organizations move within the safety space in the direction of either more or less resilience depending on the fluctuation of their safety culture. Improving resilience requires transforming learned safety practices into a "habit" in conjunction with accepting accountability. Personal accountability means commitment to safe practices along with effective and transparent reporting of near misses/close calls and adverse events (AEs). Institutional accountability means putting safety first by ensuring the availability of appropriate resources, role leadership modeling, and effective management of sentinel events (SEs) to reduce harm occurrence and re-occurrence. This requires a more robust root cause analysis (RCA) process to guarantee that action plans produce strong and effective corrective measures. Synergistic coaching interventions include instilling the awareness that failure can and will happen, mapping team talents, and assessing gaps. These interventions will optimize group expertise, reaffirming the concept of institutional and personal accountability. The unending performance of drills will sustain the group resilience under both expected and unexpected conditions. Given the strong correlation between practice environment and outcomes, sustained improvement of the safety climate will produce more robust safety behaviors and ultimately better outcomes.

The purpose of this research work is to provide supply chain managers with a formal and generalizable approach that furnishes accurate guidelines to achieve a 2D performance integrating both Lean and Green. Despite the fact that several research works have been conducted in the framework of Lean and Green, at a conceptual level, the relationship between both paradigms is still ambiguous. Furthermore, the literature revealed a lack of relevant and generalizable approaches that explicitly demonstrate how to successfully implement Lean and Green in a relevant and integrated way. Since risks are the main obstacles disrupting performance, this research work addresses the identified gap by proposing a risk management approach (RMA) for Lean Green performance in a supply-chain context. Risk cannot be managed if not well-identified, hence, a rigorous literature investigation was conducted to define this concept in a supply-chain context. Later, risk was introduced into Lean and Green aspects. Subsequently, through a comprehensive review of previous risk identification studies, a novel classification of supply chain risks in a Lean Green context was provided. At a corporate level, risks often include several sources that cannot be treated at once. Therefore, a risk assessment analysis was performed, employing an analytic hierarchy process for its ease of use and broad adaptability. The output of this analysis provides visibility for an organization’s position toward performance goals and underlines crucial risks to be addressed. The risk treatment process was upgraded in this approach to a detailed analysis that aims at investigating the root causes behind the prioritized risks. Deployment of the approach on a corporate level revealed that treating a risk may negatively affect treating another. Indeed, thinking Lean is not necessarily Green, which stands with the fact that Lean Green supply chain challenges may outstrip classic optimization methods and techniques, therefore, its management requires innovative approaches. Thereby, our findings support the applicability and efficiency of the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) in this setting. Although the case study focused on a specific company, the developed framework can be customized to fit different cases.

Early detection of plant diseases is a crucial factor to prevent or limit the spread of a rising infection that could cause significant economic loss. Detection test on plant diseases in the laboratory can be laborious, time consuming, expensive, and normally requires specific technical expertise. Moreover, in the developing countries, it is often difficult to find laboratories equipped for this kind of analysis. Therefore, in the past years, a high effort has been made for the development of fast, specific, sensitive, and cost-effective tests that can be successfully used in plant pathology directly in the field by low-specialized personnel using minimal equipment. Nucleic acid-based methods have proven to be a good choice for the development of detection tools in several fields, such as human/animal health, food safety, and water analysis, and their application in plant pathogen detection is becoming more and more common. In the present review, the more recent nucleic acid-based protocols for point-of-care (POC) plant pathogen detection and identification are described and analyzed. All these methods have a high potential for early detection of destructive diseases in agriculture and forestry, they should help make molecular detection for plant pathogens accessible to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. We do not suggest that on-site methods should replace lab testing completely, which remains crucial for more complex researches, such as identification and classification of new pathogens or the study of plant defense mechanisms. Instead, POC analysis can provide a useful, fast, and efficient preliminary on-site screening that is crucial in the struggle against plant pathogens.

There is a significant variation in the mapping of epicardial coronary arteries. This variation may present as different anomalies. These anomalies are usually asymptomatic and can be present at birth. Some might become symptomatic during adulthood and subsequently, result in sudden death. The anomalies, in turn, present a challenge to clinicians during therapeutic intervention. Therefore, there is a growing need to have knowledge about the various forms of the coronary artery anomalies. In our case report, we present the case of a patient who had one such anomaly and provide a hint at one strategy that was used to tackle the challenge.

Research purpose. The research purpose is to assess and compare the competitiveness of the EU creative industries’ export. Design/Methodology/Approach. The article is organised as follows: Section 1 presents a short theoretical conception of creative industries; Section 2 presents the theoretical background of trade competitiveness indices; Section 3 introduces the research data set, method and variables; Section 4 discusses the results of the revealed comparative advantage index analysis; and the final section presents the conclusions of the research. It should be noted that the research does not cover all possible factors underlying the differences in the external sector performance and thus may need to be complemented with country-specific analysis as warranted. Methods of the research include theoretical review and analysis, evaluation of comparative advantage indices and clustering. Findings. The analysis revealed that the EU countries may gain competitiveness because of the globalisation effects and the development of creative industries. The increase in the revealed comparative advantage (RCA) index during the period 2004–2017 shows rising EU international trade specialisation in creative industries. According to dynamic RCA index results, France, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain has competitive advantage in creative industries sectors and could be specified as ‘rising stars’ according to dynamic of their export. Originality/Value/Practical implications. A creative industries analysis is becoming increasingly relevant in scientific research. Fast globalisation growth affects the processes in which closed economies together with their specific sectors are no longer competitive in the market because productivity of countries as well as particular economic sectors depends on international trade liberalisation, technology and innovation. Scientific literature, nevertheless, contains a gap in the area of international trade competitiveness research in creative industries sector.

Indonesia is one of the biggest producer of cacao beans in the world.Export tariff policy on cacao bean and countries trade agreement wasexpected can increase the processed of cacao export. This researchaims to analyze the competitiveness and the determinants of whichaffect the processed cacao export in AANZFTA Region countries.Based on RCA anaylsis, the processed cacao has been comparativeadvantage, and its EPD analysis show that Indonesia’s processedcacao mostly in falling star and retreat condition. The result ofregression analysis panel data showed that the export of cacao pastewas affected significantly by exchange rate, Indonesia’s exportcompetitiveness, and free trade area policy. Cacao butter was affectedsignificantly by exchange rate, Indonesia’s export competitiveness, andfree trade area policy. Cacao powder was affected significantly bygross domestic product total, exchange rate, Indonesia’s exportcompetitiveness, and free trade area policy.

While percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a commonly performed procedure, it still has many serious complications. Coronary artery pseudoaneurysms can form after PCI and can progress to cardiac tamponade. We report the case of an 80-year-old male who presented for an inferior wall ST elevation myocardial infarction, had drug-eluting stents placed to the right coronary artery (RCA), and subsequently suffered a RCA pseudoaneurysm with hemopericardium. He eventually underwent pseudoaneurysm repair with off pump coronary artery bypass graft. There is no established treatment protocol, and involvement of a multidisciplinary team improves outcomes.

Background Ischemic heart disease, particularly inferior wall myocardial infarction (IWMI), is a significant issue in cardiac health. It can further add up to the morbidity and mortality when it is associated with right ventricular infarction (RVI). Elevated ST-segment elevations in the right chest lead number, three (V3R), and four (V4R), can be used to diagnose right ventricular infarction (RVI). The odds of RVI can be identified according to age groups, gender, and risk factors, including diabetes, hypertension, and smoking. This can help in the prevention of right ventricular infarct and its complications by controlling the risk factors which affect the outcome the most. Methods A sample of 1000 patients (n=1000) with acute IWMI was evaluated for the incidence of accompanying right ventricular infarct. These patients were then assessed for various known risk factors of myocardial infarction. Results Comparing the incidence of RVI against various risk factors, we found that there is an increased incidence of RVI in patients with risk factors that include hypertension and smoking. Conclusions The study suggests that IWMI can be accompanied by RVI in almost one-third of the cases, (36% in our study). The odds of RVI are highest in patients of hypertension, and the timely control of certain risk factors will result in reduced incidence and hence the complication associated with right ventricular infarction.

Legal ontologies have proved their increasingly substantial role in representing, processing and retrieving legal information. By using the knowledge modeled by such ontologies in form of concepts and relations, it is possible to reason over the semantic content of legal documents. Supporting (semi-) automatically the development of ontologies from text is commonly referred to as ontology learning from text. The learning process includes learning of the concepts that will form the ontology and learning of the semantic relations among them. In this paper, we present a new approach for expliciting the semantic relations between Arabic compound nouns concepts. The originality of this work is twofold. Firstly, the technique of inferring relations is based on exploiting the internal structure of the compounds using a defined set of domain-and language-independent rules according to their different structures, on the one hand, and on studying prepositions semantics specifying the inferred relations applying a gamification mechanism that collects human votes, on the other hand. Secondly, relying on the compounds set described by both binary (structural positions in which there are written) and relational attributes (the deduced relations), we used a “Relational Concept Analysis” (RCA) technique, as an adaptation of “Formal Concept Analysis” (FCA), for the construction of interconnected lattices that we transformed into ontological concepts and relations which can be either taxonomic or transversal. Experiments carried out on Arabic legal dataset showed that the proposed approach reached encouraging performance through achieving high precision and recall scores. This performance affects positively the retrieval results of legal documents based on a powerful ontology, which presents our main objective.

This study investigates the feasibility of using recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) as a partial substitution of natural aggregate in pavement engineering. Despite RCA&rsquo, s good properties, such as polishing value and freeze-thaw resistance, its use is limited by low resistance to fragmentation and high-water absorption. This paper parent the experimental results of mineralogical-petrographic and physical-mechanical properties of RCA, natural stone (dolerite) and their combination (RCA content&mdash, 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60%). The tested granular mixtures showed good resistance to fragmentation and wear (LA 22&ndash, 27%, MDE 14&ndash, 15%), as well as satisfactory Polished Stone Value of 55&ndash, 57, which means they can be used in different layers of pavement structures. According to the obtained testing results, the application of RCA is possible in different flexible and rigid pavement layers and for various traffic loads.

This study aimed to investigate the usability of Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) in warm mix asphalt (WMA) as the implementation of sustainable construction technology. Five replacement rates (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%) were tested for the coarse fraction of virgin aggregate (VA) with 3 types of RCA: untreated RCA, HL-treated RCA, and HCL-treated RCA. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses were performed to investigate the surface morphology for both treated and untreated RCA. The optimum asphalt cement content for every substitution rate was determined using Marshall mix design method. Thereafter, asphalt concrete specimens were prepared using the optimum asphalt cement content, followed by the evaluation of their performance properties, including the moisture damage, resilient modulus, and permanent deformation characteristics. These properties were assessed using indirect tensile strength and uniaxial repeated loading tests, respectively. It was found that, for mixes with RCA content of 100%, the untreated RCA mixes possess higher OAC than that of treated RCA mixes by 0.26%. The moisture susceptibility was improved in case of HL and HCL treated RCA by 9.09% and 10.34% as compared to untreated RCA. However, the resilient modulus and resistance to permanent deformation for the mixes with 100% RCA were lower than those prepared with VA; the decrement in Mr values are 39.17%, 28.56% and 23.09% for the untreated RCA, HL-treated RCA and HCL-treated RCA, respectively. Finally, the cost, material, and energy-saving implications of RCA were discussed.

Indonesia's pepper growth rate tends to decrease compared to the growth rate of world pepper demand. This is due to the decline in production in Indonesia in recent years. This has an impact on the amount offered by Indonesia to meet the needs of the world. Indonesia's inability to compete with other countries makes Indonesia's position in taking on the growth of the world's hopes can be used by other countries. This situation can change Indonesia's position and competitiveness in trade on the international market. This study aims to analyze the level of competition between countries by using Revealed Comparative Auntungan (RCA and Dynamics Revealed Comparative Advantage (DRCA). The results of the study show that during the 2011-2013 period the highest increase in competitiveness between countries during the other period was an increase Significant exports to the countries of Brazil, India and Pakistan which increased on the value of RCA. Delaying in the 2011-2013 and 2014-2016 periods was related to increasing countries increasing exports such as Indonesia, Brazil and India. Position of Indonesia in 2016 Enlarging free markets greater than the results of world exports, Indonesia must increase the country's competitiveness. Â

This study examines the elasticity and competitiveness of Indonsia’s palm oil export in the India market, 1990 -2014. The methods used are Error Correction Model (ECM) and Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) approach. The results shows that the price is inelastic in short-term but it is elastic in long-term. The income and exchange rate are elastic in the long-term. There is also a decline in competitiveness in the market India. These findings also demonstrate that palm oil is normal goods and can be easily substituted with the same products of other countries or other vegetable oils. It threatens the Indonesian palm oil competitiveness in the Indian market.

Thirty-nine year male had a history of road traffic accident with polytrauma. At emergency room he started having chest pain with ventricular tachycardia. He was subsequentially diagnosed with right coronary artery dissection secondary to blunt trauma which is an extremely rare cause of inferior wall myocardial infarction. This article assesses the development of wood exports in the Czech Republic (Czechia) and Austria in recent years. Some approaches, such as revealed comparative advantage (RCA), relative trade balance index (RTB), and diversification ratios are used to assess the export performance and competitiveness indicators in these countries. The RCA result reveals that both Czechia and Austria have been competitive in the global wood markets, just as the countries have witnessed positive in RTB within the period under study. Market diversification results indicate that both countries concentrated in few markets (mainly within the EU single market) for exports of wood products. Also, the competitiveness based on the product structure shows that both countries, notably Austria wood product groups have been diversified and mostly processed before exports. In summary, both countries have performed impressively within the period under study even though the time series for the research was short. Nevertheless, there is a need for market export diversification beyond the EU’s single market., Ovaj članak analizira kretanje izvoza drva u Češkoj i Austriji posljednjih godina. Neki se pristupi, poput otkrivene komparativne prednosti (RCA), indeksa relativne trgovinske bilance (RTB) i omjera diversifikacije koriste za procjenu pokazatelja uspješnosti izvoza i konkurentnosti u tim zemljama. Rezultat RCA pristupa otkriva da su i Češka i Austrija bile konkurentne na svjetskom tržištu drva, baš kao što su i zemlje ostvarivale pozitivne RTB rezultate u promatranom razdoblju. Rezultati diversifikacije tržišta pokazuju da su se obje zemlje koncentrirale na nekoliko tržišta (uglavnom unutar jedinstvenog tržišta EU-a) za izvoz drvnih proizvoda. Također, konkurentnost na temelju strukture proizvoda pokazuje da su proizvodi u obje zemlje, posebno grupe proizvoda od drva u Austriji, raznoliki i uglavnom se obrađuju prije izvoza. Ukratko, obje su zemlje postigle nevjerojatne rezultate tijekom perioda proučavanja iako je vremenski niz za istraživanje bio kratak. Ipak, postoji potreba za diversifikacijom izvoza na tržištu izvan jedinstvenog tržišta EU.

Tobacco is one of main export commodity from the plantation sub-sector of Indonesia. Indonesian tobacco exports in recent years, 2008 to 2014 experienced an increase or had a positive trend. It shows that the tobacco has the potential to be developed. Competitiveness analysis using the calculation of Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), while the analysis of competitivness Export Index (ECI) to see the trend of competitiveness. If Indonesia had RCA more than one, so Indonesia has a competitive advantage and if Indonesia has a value of ECI more than one, then Indonesia is said to have a good competitiveness development. Based on the analysis of tobacco RCA Indonesia in the international market, Indonesia has a comparative advantage compared to competing countries of Indonesia, such as France and Thailand with RCA> 1. Because Indonesia has a high export value for the tobacco and abundant natural resources as well as the amount of labor that much.The results of the analysis of ECI, to determine the trend of the competitiveness of Indonesian tobacco than the comparison countries, namely France and Thailand, shows Indonesian tend to have better competitiveness development value ECI> 1. This is because of Indonesia has a better advantage export than France and Thailand. Based on the analysis of RCA and ECI, it can be concluded that in the future, tobacco will be a interested commodity because of the increased demand, it will make Indonesia must have a competitiveness in domestic and international markets.

Iatrogenic coronary artery dissection during diagnostic coronary catheterization is a rare but life-threatening event with a reported incidence of less than 0.1%. The current case report addresses the issue of catheter-induced dissection of an apparently normal right coronary artery (RCA). I tried to explain the factors underlying its occurrence, in view of the current knowledge of the aortic root motion during the cardiac cycle, and the spatial orientation of the RCA ostium.

We report the case of a 41-year-old male with traumatic coronary artery dissection after a high-speed motor vehicle collision. Computed tomography imaging revealed multiple intracranial subdural and subarachnoid bleedings, a skull base fracture and multiple bilateral rib fractures. There was no pericardial hemorrhage, haemothorax or pneumothorax. No intra-abdominal lesions were found. A 12-lead electrocardiogram on arrival showed an acute myocardial infarction. Emergency angiography showed complete dissection of the right coronary artery without reflow after placement of 6 coronary stents. The patient passed away the day after. In retrospective, the right coronary dissection was visible on the trauma CT-scan.

Rice is an important source for foreign exchange earnings for Pakistan’s economy, keeping this fact in mind, this study is to calculate competitiveness of rice export of Pakistan in the international market compared to largest exporter countries and this article is the first empirical attempt using a panel-gravity approach by employing PPML technique and to find out potential countries for Pakistani rice export to 144 countries over the period 2003 – 2016. The outcomes of this study revealed that as compared to other major exporters of rice in the international market, Pakistan had high competitive and comparative advantage in the exportation and production of rice. We confirm the positive relationship between rice export of Pakistan and the main components of the gravity model, GDP of Pakistan and trading partner, the difference in income, common border, and WTO membership and an inverse relationship with distance, exchange rates and trade agreement. The results for rice export potential suggest Pakistan still has plenty of rice export potential with 109 countries and as such Pakistan can possibly reduce and gain foreign exchange earnings to reduce the trade deficit by targeting these countries. So as to utilize the potential benefits of rice exports, policymakers need to reinforce the competitiveness in rice sector of Pakistan.

This work proposes designing of high speed floating point multipliers. The multipliers are designed using Vedic Mathematics. The Vedic Multiplier (VM) has a regular structure therefore can be easily layout in a Silicon chip. Two different VMs are designed with different adder structures viz. Ripple Carry Adder (RCA) and Carry Look-ahead Adder (CLA). A single precision floating point multiplier is designed with these two VM structures. The multipliers are structurally modeled in Verilog HDL. The simulation and synthesis are done in Xilinx® ISE 14.2. A comparison on the basis of area, power and delay is performed on Virtex-5 (xc5vlx110tff1136-1).

RESUMEN El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar la competitividad de las exportaciones de soja y carne bovina in natura en el Paraguay en el periodo de 2005 a 2013. Para medir la competitividad se utilizó el modelo del Índice de Ventaja Comparativa Revelada utilizando la base de datos del Banco Central del Paraguay (para los productos agrícolas), UN Comtrade (para las exportaciones de la soja y la carne bovina), y de la Organización Mundial del Comercio (para los totales de las exportaciones agrícolas mundiales). El comercio internacional de la carne bovina ha sufrido cambios en el tiempo, sea por las enfermedades como la fiebre aftosa y la encefalopatía espongiforme bovina así como también por el efecto de la crisis económica mundial. Paraguay ha aumentado su participación en la producción y exportación de la carne bovina, que tiene como destinos más importantes a Brasil, Líbano y Chile (carne bovina in natura refrigerada) y a la Federación Rusa, Israel y Angola (carne bovina in natura congelada). La exportación del grano de la soja ha destinado su producción principalmente a Argentina, Uruguay y la Unión Europea. El Paraguay cuenta con la ventaja comparativa revelada para los commodities de la soja y la carne bovina (congelada y refrigerada) en todos los periodos de estudios. ABSTRACT The objective was to analyze the competitiveness of exports of soybeans and beef in natura in Paraguay in the period 2005 to 2013. To measure competitiveness model Revealed Comparative Advantage Index was used using the base data from the Central Bank of Paraguay (for agricultural products), UNcomtrade (exports of soybeans and beef), and the World Trade Organization (for total of world agricultural exports). International trade in beef has undergone changes over time, either by diseases like FMD and BSE as well as the effect of the global economic crisis. Paraguay has increased its share in the production and export of beef, which has the most important destinations in Brazil, Lebanon and Chile (beef in chilled natura) and the Russian Federation, Israel and Angola (beef in frozen natura). Grain export in soybean production has allocated mainly to Argentina, Uruguay and the European Union. Paraguay has revealed comparative advantage for commodity soybeans and beef (frozen and chilled) in all study periods.

Demolished concrete is found a lot.In developed countries, there is a clever method to dispose such demolished concrete by recycling to get a near quality as natural aggregate in order to reduce natural resources and help concrete waste disposal which is called recycled concrete aggregate (RCA). However, in Bangkok, it is now no strict regulation to dispose demolished concrete. This research studied a feasibility of RCA in Bangkok by simulation which many criteria in the model were assumed to be random parameters; therefore, this research created a model by Monte Carlo Simulation which is differed from other RCA business model simulations that normally use constant parameters. In additions, four conditions were set, first: 100-ton-per-hour constant supplied plant, second: 50-ton-per-hour constant supplied plant, third: 100-ton-per-hour uncertain supplied plant, and fourth: 50-ton-per-hour uncertain supplied plant. The result showed the trend of output rather than 1 simple output thanks to the random inputs. In details, the both constant supplied plant can make a profit, additionally; 100-ton-per-hour plant was more worthwhile than 50-ton-per-hour plant thanks to the economics of scale. On the other hand, for the uncertain supply, 100-ton-per-hour plant was loss, but 50-ton-per-hour plant still made a profit.

Highlights • Assessment of the heart and coronary arteries by non-gated thoracic computed tomography angiography (CTA) using new-generation CT scanners may be important. • Non-gated aortic CTA can provide the first evidence of significant or life threatening heart and coronary arteries findings. • Assessment of the RAG sign may be feasible using non-gated CTA., Herein, we present a case of a right coronary artery proximal occlusion and acute myocardial infarction with absence of the reverse attenuation gradient sign that was incidentally identified in the emergency room with non-gated computed tomography angiography of the aorta performed to rule out aortic dissection. This case highlights the importance of assessing the heart and coronary arteries even on non-gated computed tomography angiography.

Objective: Delineation of organs at risk is a time-consuming task. This study evaluates the benefits of using single-subject atlas-based automatic segmentation of organs at risk in patients with breast cancer treated in prone position, with 2 different criteria for choosing the atlas subject. Together with laterality (left/right), the criteria used were either (1) breast volume or (2) body mass index and breast cup size. Methods: An atlas supporting different selection criteria for automatic segmentation was generated from contours drawn by a senior radiation oncologist (RO_A). Atlas organs at risk included heart, left anterior descending artery, and right coronary artery. Manual contours drawn by RO_A and automatic segmentation contours of organs at risk and breast clinical target volume were created for 27 nonatlas patients. A second radiation oncologist (RO_B) manually contoured (M_B) the breast clinical target volume and the heart. Contouring times were recorded and the reliability of the automatic segmentation was assessed in the context of 3-D planning. Results: Accounting for body mass index and breast cup size improved automatic segmentation results compared to breast volume-based sampling, especially for the heart (mean similarity indexes >0.9 for automatic segmentation organs at risk and clinical target volume after RO_A editing). Mean similarity indexes for the left anterior descending artery and the right coronary artery edited by RO_A expanded by 1 cm were ≥0.8. Using automatic segmentation reduced contouring time by 40%. For each parameter analyzed (eg, D2%), the difference in dose, averaged over all patients, between automatic segmentation structures edited by RO_A and the same structure manually drawn by RO_A was Conclusions: Automatic segmentation for prone breast radiotherapy stratified by body mass index and breast cup size improved segmentation accuracy for the heart and coronary vessels compared to breast volume sampling. A significant reduction in contouring time can be achieved by using automatic segmentation.

Recent developments in the world economy have led to a new concept of international relations where emerging markets, notably BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) economies, create a strong counterweight to the already existing world powers of the Triad (US, EU and Japan) in both economic and political areas. This results from the reallocation of global economic activities, global consumption to emerging and developing countries and hence import/export destination shifts. BRICS economies can be described today as being highly integrated into international trade, thus enhancing their engagement in the world economy. Even though the Triad remains among the most important trade partners for BRICS, their total share in BRICS’s trade is decreasing. This paper examines changing geographical trade patterns of BRICS’s exports in regard to significant changes in global trade shifts within the past decade. The aim of the paper is to identify product groups that are involved in BRICS’s trade relations development and show possible diversions. The assessment focuses on regional trade orientation among BRICS themselves and between BRICS and the Triad. The results are further tested on the consistency of the countries’ revealed comparative advantage together with the assessment of export trade intro-version, complementarity and trade barriers. The results indicate that BRICS’s exports to markets other than the Triad are increasing but consist of less significant product groups. The export intensity assessment provided rather independent evidence of BRICS’s current behaviour than BRICS as a group. The most significant trade diversion from the Triad to BRICS was identified for the Mineral fuels, oils, distillation products, etc. product group ex-ported by Brazil and South Africa to China and India.

Minyak sawit dalam bentuk Crude Palm Oil merupakan komoditi ekspor unggulan Indonesia.Indonesia merupakan produsen dan eksportir minyak sawit terbesar di dunia.Uni Eropa merupakan pengimpor minyak sawit Indonesia terbesar kedua setelah India, sehingga dapat mempengaruhi kondisi ekspor minyak sawit Indonesia.Pada tahun 2009 Uni Eropa mengeluarkan kebijakanRenewable Energy Directive yang dapat berdampak kepada ekspor minyak sawit Indonesia.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendekripsikan gambaran umum minyak sawit, menganalisis posisi daya saing minyak sawit Indonesia menggunakan metode Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) dan Export Product Dynamics (EPD) serta menganalisis dampak kebijakan Renewable Energy Directive terhadap terhadap kinerja ekspor minyak sawit Indonesia dengan menggunakan gravity model. Hasil analisis RCA menunjukkan bahwa minyak sawit Indonesia memiliki keunggulan komparatif (nilai RCA>1). Analisis EPD minyak sawit Indonesia di pasar Uni Eropa berada pada posisi“Rising Star”, Jepang berada di posisi “Retreat” dan Jerman berada pada posisi“Lost Opportunity”. Hasil analisis gravity model menunjukkan GDP perkapita Indonesia, populasi negaratujuan, jarak ekonomi, dan kebijakan Renewable Energy Directive signifikan memengaruhi nilai ekspor minyak sawit, sedangkan nilai tukar riil Indonesia tidak berpengaruhsignifikan.

Indonesia’s export dependency on traditional marketcan be minimized by diversifying export markets.Rubber (HS 4001-natural rubber) is one of Indonesia's main export commoditiesto Latin America. Given Indonesia's export growth to Latin America, the region could become potential market for diversifying export markets. This study aimed to analyze the competitiveness of rubber commodities and the factors affecting Indonesian rubber exports to Latin America, using secondary data ie cross section data of 6 export destination countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru) and time series data during 7 years (2009-2015). The analysis tools used RCA, EPD, and gravity model. Based on average RCA value, HS 4001 (natural rubber) Indonesia’s product is able to compete in Latin American market. Meanwhile EPD analysis identified, Indonesia’s main commodities are on rising star, falling star, and retreat positions. Gravity model analysis shows that the factors which influence Indonesia’s export to America Latin are GDP of export destination countries, real exchange rate, export price, and economic distance.

The comparative advantage and intra-industry trade of five countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Turkey, are analyzed in the global textile and clothing markets by employing Balassa's revealed comparative advantage (RCA) index and intra-industry trade (IIT) index for the period 2002-2013. The results have revealed that while Turkey is the only one among the countries selected to have comparative advantage in the global textile market, Romania joins Turkey in this in the world's clothing market. The comparative advantage of these two countries in the global clothing market presents a stronger declining trend compared to that in textiles, which is probably due to the entrance of cheap-labour eastern Asian countries into the global clothing market, as this market is more labor-intensive compared to textiles. Moreover, while a high intra-industry trade index is found in Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, an inter-industry trade structure is observed in Romania for textiles and clothing. Turkey presents intra-industry specialisation in textiles, while possessing inter-industry trade structure in terms of clothing.

Precast slab block buildings (PSBB) typically and frequently occur in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as elsewhere in the world. Some of these buildings are currently used beyond their service life capacity. The utilization of recycled materials from these buildings with regard to applying the principles of sustainable construction and using recycled materials will probably be significant in the following years. Documentation from the manufacturing processes of prefabricated blocks for precast slab block buildings is not available, and also it is difficult to declare technological discipline during the construction of these buildings. Therefore, properties of recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) produced from construction and demolition waste (C&DW) of precast slab block buildings build between 1950s to 1990s are not sufficiently known. The demolition of these buildings is very rare today, but it can be assumed an increase in demolitions of these buildings in the future. The use of RCA in new concrete requires verification/testing of the geometrical and physical properties of RCA according to the EN 12 620+A1 standard. The aim of the contribution is to present a case study of the demolition of slab block building with emphasis on RCA usage. The paper presents the results of the tests according to European standards for determining selected geometrical and physical properties of the RCA. The paper describes and evaluates tests such as determination of particle size distribution - Sieve Analysis, content of fine particles, determination of density and water absorption. The results of the properties testing of RCA are compared with the properties of natural aggregate. The general boundary conditions of RCA particular tests are presented.

Six parental genotypes and their thirty F1 hybrids in a full diallel cross system with reciprocals, were used in the present study to estimate combining ability for five quantitative and five qualitative traits in hot pepper. The mean sum of squares due to general combining ability (GCA), specific combining ability (SCA) and reciprocal combining ability (RCA) were significant for all the characters which suggest that these parents could have performed differently in different combinations indicating interallelic interactions. All the traits studied exhibited greater SCA variance than GCA, suggesting that these traits are controlled by non-additive gene action. Analysis of the GCA effects of parents for various traits revealed that LCA625, K1 and PKM1 were the best general combiners for almost all the traits. Estimates of SCA effects showed that the hybrids LCA625 × K1, K1 × Arka LohitandPusa Jwala × PKM1were found to be the best combiners for yield and its attributes. The hybrid K1 × Arka Lohitwas the best reciprocal combiner for quality parameters based on its better mean performance and combining ability. These results suggest that commercial production of hot pepper hybrids and isolation of pure lines from these hybrids is a possible way to enhance the yield and fruit quality.

Packaging Factory have activities in bag production. In order to increase the productivity, the company should manage the activities to increase valued added and decrease several waste. This study was purpose for analyzed the caused problems of waste, and give recommendation for minimizing the waste. The problem solving at the study was using lean manufacturing concept approach. The waste identification began with identification of current state value stream mapping with weighting the waste in order to understand the root of problem within production process. The detail mapping selection was using Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT). Root Cause Analysis was used in order to understanding the root of problem for production process followed by FMEA for understanding the improving priority which has to be done. From the data analysis result, we found that the most dominant waste order is defect, waiting, inventory, excessive transportation.The mapping detail used for analysis process as Process Activity Mapping Supply Chain Response Matrix and Quality Filter Mapping. From the result of study we found the decreasing of production time from 138.4 minute to 119.4 minute. Decreasing lead time process could reach 13,7% comparing before the recovery step.
