Abstract

1. Determine approximate percent solids from literature or by putting a small amount in shallow aluminum cannister, covering it quickly and weighing. Afterwards, the container is opened, baked dry at 100?C, and weighed again. More accurate weights of the initial sample of emulsion can come from the use of a small "weighing bottle" fitted with an eye dropper, by weighing the bottle before and after the sample has been taken from it.
