Currently, micro-videos are becoming an increasingly prevailing form of user-generated contents (UGCs) on various social platforms. Several studies have been conducted to explore the semantics of micro-videos and the behavior of individuals for various tasks, such as venue categorization, popularity prediction, and personalized recommendation. However, few studies have been dedicated to solving micro-video multi-label classification . More importantly, learning intrinsic and robust feature representations for micro-videos is still a complicated and challenging problem. In this paper, we propose a deep matrix factorization with latent correlation estimation (DMFLCE) for micro-video multi-label classification. In DMFLCE, we develop a deep matrix factorization component constrained by a low-rank constraint to learn the lowest-rank representations for micro-videos and the intrinsic characterizations for latent attributes simultaneously. To explicitly exhibit the dependencies of the learned latent attributes and labels for improved classification performance, we construct two inverse covariance estimation components to automatically encode correlation patterns with respect to the latent attributes and labels. Experiments conducted on a publicly available large-scale micro-video dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method compared with state-of-the-art methods.

Background: Targeting the interaction between SDF1 and CXCR4 may provide an opportunity to intervene in the hematopoietic stem cell mobilization process. Aim: The present study aimed to investigate the safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles of YF-H-2015005, a CXCR4 antagonist, for the mobilization of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Methods: A total of 15 patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) eligible for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation were enrolled. All patients achieved a partial or complete remission after the first- or second-line therapy. Granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) was given in the morning for 8 consecutive days, and 0.24 mg/kg YF-H-2015005 was subcutaneously administered in the evening of the 4th day of G-CSF treatment for up to four days. Apheresis was performed 9-10 hours following each dose of YF-H-2015005. Results: YF-H-2015005 was rapidly absorbed and eliminated, with Tmax and t1/2 of 0.5 and 5.04 ± 1.00 hours, respectively. Moreover, the mean peripheral blood CD34+ cell counts were elevated by 2.0- to 2.9-fold from 2 to 24 hours, and reached the maximum level of 76.5 ± 53.9 cells/kg at 10 hours after YF-H-2015005 treatment. Fourteen (93%) out of 15 NHL patients achieved a minimum target of ≥2×106/kg CD34+ cells. Furthermore, there was no grades 3-4 treatment-related adverse event observed among these patients. Conclusion: YF-H-2015005 can serve as a safe, effective agent in combination with G-CSF for CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cell mobilization in NHL patients.

3D shape retrieval is an important researching field due to its wide applications in computer vision and multimedia fields. With the development of deep learning technology, great progress has been made in recent years and lots of methods have achieved promising 3D shape retrieval results. Due to the effective description of point cloud data on structural information for 3D shapes, lots of methods based on point cloud data format are proposed for better shape representation. However, most of them focus on extracting a global descrisptor from the whole 3D shape while the local features and detailed structural information are ignored, which negatively affect the effectiveness of shape descriptors. In addition, these methods also ignore the correlations among different parts of point clouds, which may introduce redundant information to the final shape descriptors. In order to address these issues, we propose a Multi-part attention network (MPAN) for 3D model retrieval based on point cloud. Firstly, we segment a 3D shape into multiple parts by employing a pre-trained PointNet++ segmentation model. After extracting the local features from them, we introduce a novel self-attention mechanism to explore the correlations between different parts. Meanwhile, by considering the structural relevance of them, the redundancy for representing 3D shapes is removed while the effective information is utilized. Finally, informative and discriminative shape descriptors, considering both local features and spatial correlations, are generated for 3D shape retrieval task. To validate the effectiveness of our method, we conduct several experiments on the public 3D shape benchmark, ShapeNetPart dataset. Experimental results and comparisons with state-of-the-art methods demonstrate the superiority of our proposed method.

This study evaluated the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety of a single dulaglutide dose in Chinese healthy subjects and of multiple dulaglutide doses in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This two-part, double-blind, placebo-controlled study included 16 healthy subjects randomized to receive a single dose of placebo and two of three dulaglutide doses (0.5 mg, 0.75 mg, or 1.5 mg) in three treatment periods, and 42 patients with T2DM randomized to receive placebo or one of the three dulaglutide doses once weekly for 4 weeks. Pharmacokinetics and safety parameters were assessed in all participants, and pharmacodynamics effects were investigated in patients with T2DM. Following a single-dose administration of 0.5 mg, 0.75 mg, or 1.5 mg dulaglutide in healthy subjects, geometric mean maximum concentrations (Cmax) were 29.4, 44.2, and 81.5 ng/mL, respectively. Following weekly administration in patients with T2DM for 4 weeks, Cmax were 26.3, 41.4, and 70.2 ng/mL, respectively, with accumulation ratios of 1.33–1.39. Geometric mean for half-life of 4–5 days and median time to Cmax (tmax) of approximately 48 h were observed in both study populations. Dose-proportional increases in drug exposure were observed after both single and multiple dosing. Significant reductions in baseline-corrected fasting glucose and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) were observed in patients with T2DM who received dulaglutide 0.75 mg and 1.5 mg. Dulaglutide was well tolerated, with the majority of adverse events being gastrointestinal disorders of mild severity. Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety profiles of dulaglutide demonstrated in the present study support a once-weekly dosing regimen in Chinese patients with T2DM. Background: The Pharmacokinetics of Methotrexate (MTX) has been reported to show significant intersubject variability. MTX is metabolized by SHMT1 and transported by OATP1B1 and OATP1B3 both of which show genetic polymorphisms. The non-genetic and genetic factors may influence the pharmacokinetics of MTX. Objective: This study aimed to determine the pharmacokinetic parameters of MTX in Chinese patients and to investigate the effect of various non-genetic factors and genetic variants of OATP1B1, OATP1B3 on MTX’s pharmacokinetics. Method: MTX concentration and clinical characteristics data were collected from 71 rheumatoid arthritis patients. For each patient, SLC19A1, SHMT1, OATP1B1, and OATP1B3 genotyping were tested. Population pharmacokinetic analysis was performed by Nonlinear Mixed-Effect Modeling (NONMEM). MTX pharmacokinetic properties analysis was executed using the one-compartment pharmacokinetic model which incorporated first-order conditional estimation methods with interaction. Besides, the impact of genetic factors and demographic factors on MTX disposition were explored. Results: All the genotypes of steady-state plasma concentrations and OATP1B1 rs4149056, OATP1B1 rs2306283, and OATP1B3 rs7311358 were determined. The detected blood drug concentration reached the standard. Genotypes were all measured. At the same time, the population pharmacokinetic model of methotrexate was obtained CL(L·h-1) =8.25× e0.167× SNP (SNP: SLCO1B1 388A/A=3; SLCO1B1 388A/G=2; SLCO1B1 388G/G=1); V(L)= 32.8; Ka(h- 1)=1.69. Conclusion: : In our study, it was showed that OATP1B1-388 G>A SNP had a significant effect on CL/F. The factor should be considered when determining MTX dosing. However, prospective studies with a large number of participants are needed to validate the results of this study.

Background Damage to the hippocampus will result in the loss of ability to form new long-term memories and cognitive disorders. At present, there is no effective medical treatment for this issue. Hippocampal cognitive prosthesis is proposed to replace damaged regions of the hippocampus to mimic the function of original biological tissue. This prosthesis requires a spike sorter to detect and classify spikes in the recorded neural signal. New method A 16-channel spike sorting processor is presented in this paper, where all channels are considered as independent. An automatic threshold estimation method suitable for hardware implementation is proposed for the Osort clustering algorithm. A new distance metric is also introduced to facilitate clustering. Bayes optimal template matching classification algorithm is optimized to reduce computational complexity by introducing a preselection mechanism. Results The chip was fabricated in 40-nm CMOS process with a core area of 0.0175 mm2/ch and power consumption of 19.0 μW/ch. Synthetic and realistic test data are used to evaluate the chip. The test result shows that it has high performance on both data. Comparison with existing method(s) Compared with the other three spike sorting processors, the proposed chip achieves the highest detection and classification accuracy. It also has the ability to deal with partially overlapping spikes, which is not reported in the other work. Conclusions We have developed a 16-channel spike sorting chip used in hippocampal prosthesis, which provides unsupervised clustering and real-time detection and classification. It also has the ability to deal with partially overlapping spikes.

An all-optical non-inverted parity generator and checker based on semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) are proposed with four-wave mixing (FWM) and cross-gain modulation (XGM) non-linear effects. A 2-bit parity generator and checker using by exclusive NOR (XNOR) and exclusive OR (XOR) gates are implemented by first SOA and second SOA with 10 Gb/s return-to-zero (RZ) code, respectively. The parity and check bits are provided by adjusting the center wavelength of the tunable optical bandpass filter (TOBPF). A saturable absorber (SA) is used to reduce the negative effect of small signal clock (Clk) probe light to improve extinction ratio (ER) and optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR). For Pe and Ce (even parity bit and even check bit) without Clk probe light, ER and OSNR still maintain good performance because of the amplified effect of SOA. For Po (odd parity bit), ER and OSNR are improved to 1 dB difference for the original value. For Co (odd check bit), ER is deteriorated by 4 dB without SA, while OSNR is deteriorated by 12 dB. ER and OSNR are improved by about 2 dB for the original value with the SA. This design has the advantages of simple structure and great integration capability and low cost.

Background Hemoporfin is a porphyrin-based photosensitizer and has been used for photodynamic therapy of port wine stain birthmarks in China. This study assessed the pharmacokinetics and cutaneous photosensitization of Hemoporfin in healthy volunteers. Methods Sixteen healthy subjects received a single intravenous infusion injection of Hemoporfin (5 mg/kg). The concentrations of Hemoporfin (MHD) and its metabolite Haematoporphyrin (HP) in plasma, urine and faeces were determined. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated. In addition, the cutaneous photosensitization was evaluated under the irradiation of solar simulator, 532 nm laser, and sunlight. Results The Cmax of MHD and HP were 46.7 ± 8.41 and 1.04 ± 0.265 μg/ml, respectively. The t1/2 of MHD and HP were 5.09 ± 0.945 and 5.71 ± 2.65 h, respectively. The AUC0-24h of MHD and HP were 29.8 ± 6.19 and 0.757 ± 0.285 h·μg/ml, respectively. The AUC0–∞ of MHD and HP were 29.8 ± 6.2 and 0.792 ± 0.308 h·μg/ml, respectively. The cumulative fecal excretion rate of MHD and HP were 45.3% and 1.05% at 96 h, respectively. Whereas, the cumulative urinary excretion rate of MHD was only 0.132% at 96 h. The concentration of HP in urine was less than 10% of MHD. After 52 h of administration, the cutaneous photosensitization associated with the exposure to various light sources was minimal. Conclusion MHD and HP were excreted mainly through the faeces after intravenous infusion. Hemoporfin associated cutaneous photosensitization was insignificant.

The objectives of the present study were to investigate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of tacrine analogue octahydrogenacridine (OHA) succinate tablets in healthy Chinese subjects. A single-center, randomized, open-label, dose-escalation study was conducted in 42 healthy Chinese subjects. Part I of the study (n=30, 16 male and 14 female) evaluated the PK profiles of OHA in healthy Chinese subjects (aged 18-45 years) after single and multiple doses of 2 mg, 4 mg and 8 mg. Part II (n=10) assessed food effect on PK characteristics of OHA. The 10 participants of 4 mg dose group in part I were given another single dose of 4 mg OHA under fed condition. Part III (n=12, 7 male and 5 female) investigate PK behavior of OHA in elderly (aged 65-75 years) Chinese healthy subjects. In Part I, following a single- and multiple-dose, octahydrogenacridine succinate was rapidly absorbed with a median t(max) of 0.67 to 1.00 h, and was eliminated with a mean t1/2 of 2.27 to 2.98 h in all dose groups and did not appear to be dose dependent. In Part II, there were no significant differences in Cmax, AUC0-tn or tmax between 4 mg single dose fasting group and fed group (p=0.257, 0.153, 0.098, respectively). In Part III, both in single-dose and multiple-dose treatment, the main PK parameters of OHA in the elderly healthy Chinese subjects showed no statistical difference with those of non-elderly group. All these results indicated that OHA might be a promising drug under development for Alzheimer's disease (AD) therapy.

Sensor pattern noise has been used as a unique fingerprint for various forensic tasks, including source camera identification. However, quantization noise introduced by JPEG compression may impact sensor pattern noise; the robustness of sensor pattern noise is too weak to identify compressed images. This paper proposes a new method to identify the source of JPEG compressed images based on sensor pattern noise. By introducing quantization noise model, a modified model of sensor pattern noise is made to weaken the effects of quantization noise. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach.

With the advent of low-cost multimedia acquisition device and sophisticated video editing techniques, it is becoming increasingly easier to tamper with digital video. In this paper, a novel approach is proposed to detection of double MPEG compression involving two video compression standards, which often occurs in video transcoding process. By analyzing the variation of DCT coefficients in depth, new periodic artifacts are found in the frequency spectrum of reconstructed nonzero DCT coefficient histogram of individual mode, and a novel detection approach is proposed with curve fitting tools. Combined with the SVM, goodness-of-fit statistics features are utilized to discriminate forged videos from original videos, and a series of experimental results demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

In recent years, with the easy availability of digital video cameras and associated software to manipulate video, ascertaining the integrity and authenticity of digital videos has become an urgent and critical issue. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to detect double MPEG-2 compression which often occurs in digital video tampering. Specifically, we show how a doubly compressed MPEG-2 video sequence introduces convex pattern in the distribution of quantized DCT coefficients whose presence can be used as an evidence of tampering. Some commercial digital video cameras and multimedia editing softwares are introduced to simulate the process of double MPEG-2 compression, and a series of experiments show that the proposed scheme can effectively detect double MPEG-2 compression at different output bit-rates. Excellent test results verify that our proposed algorithm is of great practical value.

With the easy availability of DV (digital video) and associated software to manipulate videos, ascertaining the integrity and authenticity of digital videos has become an urgent and critical issue in today’s digital community. In this paper, a new source video system identification algorithm is proposed based on the motion vector information in the encoded stream; it takes full advantage of the various characteristics in the motion estimation algorithm in different video compression systems, and combines a k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) classifier to build a complete video system identification scheme. The experiments show this proposed algorithm can effectively identify video streams which come from a number of video coding systems.

Detection of double compression in digital multimedia is considered to reveal the history of multimedia signal processing, which is very useful in digital forensics. In this paper, distributions of quantized DCT coefficients are analyzed in depth after double MPEG-2 compression with constant bit rate (CBR) mode, and a new algorithm is presented to detect double MPEG-2 compression based on convex patterns in the distribution of quantized DCT coefficients. In order to demonstrate the practical value of our proposed algorithm, two digital video cameras (DV) and two MPEG-2 software coders are utilized to simulate the general process of double MPEG-2 compression. Experiment results show that the proposed scheme can effectively detect doubly MPEG-2 compressed videos with CBR mode and the target output bit rate can vary in a large range.

A new approach to detect digital special effects of blue screen compositing is proposed in this paper. Based on the different qualities between the foreground and background, some statistical features of quantized discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients in the composited videos are extracted to expose the compositing operation. The experimental results show that our proposed algorithm can successfully detect the blue screen compositing in videos.
