OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy and safety of resveratrol combined with ablative fractional CO2 laser system (AFL) treating skin photoaging. METHODS Thirty-two subjects were assigned to the treatment group (TG) or the control group (CG), respectively, applied test product (resveratrol essence) or control product twice daily for 6 months. Each subject was given an AFL treatment or no laser treatment on left or right side of the face randomly. Subjective evaluations by investigators and subjects themselves were conducted after treatment. Melanin index, erythema index, and cuticle moisture content were conducted at baseline and after treatments. Adverse events (AEs) were evaluated during the study period.
