In today's digital age, many managers need to find new ways to manage collaborations where complementary partners co-create digital solutions. Collaborations with partners are at the center of digital projects, but managing these collaborations is challenging. This article objective is to investigate how research and development collaborations with scientific and business partners contribute to digital transformation. This has been achieved through an empirical investigation of three Brazilian manufacturers that are already on their journey toward digitalization. The research design involves multiple case studies and qualitative analysis, through data collection by interviews and questionnaires with participants from the tactical and strategic level followed by content analysis as well as nonparticipant observations. The findings indicate that the companies are at the early stage of building a digital ecosystem. However, they have already secured benefits from pursuing open innovation practices in the form of competitive advantage in operational processes. The results indicate that business success depends more on how (disruptive) technologies are developed and used by engaged people to add value to the enterprise, rather than simply adopting new technologies by themselves. Manufacturers need to act now to reshape their mindset, operational processes, and business models, respectively, enabling the understanding that: 1) organizational ecosystems are becoming more open and collaborative; 2) the value of data capture and analysis can be developed and used for data-driven learning, preventive and predictive capabilities, supporting decision-making; 3) customers' preferences need to be internalized to deliver customized experiences.

The digital ecosystem makes entry into foreign markets easier and provides new ways for consumers to engage with marketing materials (through content clicking, sharing, and electronic word-of-mouth [eWOM] behavior). While evidence has emerged that between-country cultural differences may impact digital consumer engagement (particularly eWOM), far less is known about its impact on online advertising clicking and sharing engagement or how within-country cultural variation (tightness/looseness) moderates this activity. The authors develop and test the notion that between- and within-country cultural differences lead to variations in digital consumer engagement, especially clicking and sharing behavior. Using industry data provided by a programmatic advertising firm, the authors find support for the idea that between-country differences in national cultural values impact digital engagement and that within-country cultural variation moderates these relations. In this way, they provide new insights for researchers and managers about international marketing in the digital age.

Fundamental changes in economic relations, instability of the market environment in which enterprises operate and increased intensity of competitive influences to obtain better business conditions emphasize the importance of the nature of interaction for all participants of business processes in the distribution channel and the success of the chosen business structure. This circumstance determines the expansion of the content of the ecosystem approach to the organization of enterprise activities and the clarification of the participants' roles in such systems. The purpose of the study is to identify the key features and differences in business models of digital ecosystem participants that are critical to shaping the value of the distribution system.,In this paper, within the framework of the theoretical component, the authors analyze conceptual and empirical articles contained in the Web of Science database and also rely on information obtained from the study of articles by Russian academicians in specialized journals, monographs and conference abstracts. Using the method of content analysis, data on enterprises were collected and generalized into cases, which made it possible to propose possible classification properties of enterprise archetypes within the digital ecosystem and to determine the general properties of the objects under study and their interrelations.,The systematization of results allows us to present a co-competitive activity model for ecosystem participants, depending on their archetype, where they are segmented according to the dominant principle of role and activity within the system. Human potential is the main source of digitalization of agricultural sector and its social driver, especially youth, their number, education, occupation. However, the number of rural youth both in Russia and abroad decreases due to migration outflow. This article discuses opportunities and problems of active involvement of youth in operation of digital ecosystem of agricultural sector. The essence of the term, digital ecosystem, is clarified on the basis of content analysis. The results of sociological studies are described devoted to distribution of basic concepts of digitalization of economy in student community, formation of general and subprofessional competences of rural youth under conditions of digitalization, which would be prioritized for youth under conditions of digital ecosystems.

Статья посвящена одному из ключевых аспектов развития морских транспортных узлов на фоне цифровой трансформации экономики. Целью исследования является определение сути цифровой экосистемы мультимодальных морских транспортных узлов на основе выделения предпосылок ее формирования. Автором выделены проблемные вопросы, которые необходимо учитывать при разработке инновационных механизмов организации управления обозначенными сложными системами. Научная новизна полученных результатов: на основе комплексного и процессного подходов выявлены ключевые составляющие цифровой экосистемы мультимодального морского транспортного узла, предложена концепция ее формирования. По мнению автора, реализация последней будет способствовать созданию на основе информационных и интеллектуальных технологий эффективной инновационной системы комплексного стратегического и оперативного управления, переходу на новый качественный уровень оказания транспортных сопутствующих услуг и повышению конкурентоспособности страны. The relevance of the research topic is due to the processes of the formation of a new global transport infrastructure in the context of the digitalization of public relations and the formation of a new management paradigm. To ensure the competitiveness and breakthrough development of domestic seaports, organizational and technical and technological breakthrough innovations are required. Traditional approaches to organizing interaction in the space of sea transport hubs have exhausted themselves. Based on the methods of system analysis, the vector of development of seaports in the XXI century is indicated; the main aspects that must be taken into account in the formation of innovative mechanisms for organizing the management of complex organizational and technical processes and systems (multimodal sea transport hubs) for the purpose of ensuring economic security and sustainable development of the Russian economy, in general, and transport, in particular. The concept of a digital ecosystem has been investigated, the essence of the category «smooth seamless transport service» regarding the transportation of goods has been concretized, the category «digital ecosystem of a multimodal sea transport hub» has been disclosed. On the basis of an integrated and process approach, the key components of the digital ecosystem of a multimodal maritime transport hub are determined and a concept for the formation of such an ecosystem is proposed.

Problem setting. Digital technologies are one of the most current trends, with the help of which new models of interaction between the state, business and citizens are being formed. New methods of doing business involve constant work with data, which entails significant changes in traditional sectors of the economy. It should be emphasized that the development of digital processes leads to a significant increase in financial flows that are outside the scope of legal regulation. It seems that in order to adapt to the challenges of digital technologies, there is a need to develop its own (national) digital ecosystem, which will cover the field of tax regulation. Analysis of recent research. The study of some aspects of digitalization in the field of taxation has been the subject of scientific research by such scholars as O. Dmytryk, M. Kucheryavenko, D. Kobylnik, V. Ryadinska, K. Tokarіeva, and others. At the same time, the above direction is developing rapidly, and this in turn requires appropriate timely regulation and reflection in the law. In view of the above, the purpose of the article is to analyze the legal regulation of taxation in the digital economy. Article’s main body. The article discusses the features of legal regulation of the sphere of taxation in the conditions of building a digital economy. It was emphasized that the introduction of digital technologies into tax regulation has both positive (implementation of the principle of taxation convenience, the formation of a service model of interaction between authorities and obligated participants in tax relations) and negative aspects (fragmentary legal regulation, the need to implement mechanisms for protecting tax information included in the corresponding electronic services, bases). Based on the analysis of a number of acts of promising legislation of Ukraine: the introduction of a special legal (including tax) regime of Diya City was subjected to a critical analysis; the legislator's approach to the regulation of taxation relations for the delivery of electronic services to individuals by non-residents was positively assessed. Conclusions and prospects for the development. The formation of a service model of the tax authorities provides for even broader interaction of tax authorities with taxpayers in electronic form. It should be noted that the interaction of taxpayers with the tax authorities through "digital channels" can be both positive and negative, which largely depends on the ease of use of the service (thus increasing the convenience and efficiency of interaction between taxpayers). In addition, the analysis of the legal regulation of taxation in the digital economy in Ukraine indicates the need for comprehensive development of effective mechanisms for each specific tax (or even legal regime) and data protection mechanisms provided by the subjects of tax relations to the relevant electronic databases, registers, offices, etc.

Approaches to the use of BIM-modeling in construction, methods of its implementation, standardization of parameters of investment activity of projects and its stages are considered. The key points in the organization of digital management at the enterprise were highlighted. The digital experience of foreign countries on the introduction and development of BIM-technologies in construction and the main advantages of the introduction of digital technologies in construction are considered. It is revealed that the digital transformation in the construction industry requires the creation of an appropriate institutional environment and the organization of its functioning in the general digital ecosystem. The concept of a functioning BIM environment with a digital environment is proposed as a part of the implementation of investment project activities in construction.

Пандемия COVID-19 ускорила необходимость использования цифрового экосистемного подхода в организации деятельности РХК. Предлагается проводить цифровую трансформацию РХК конгруэнтно с созданием новых технологий глубокой переработки водных биоресурсов и развитием рециклинга. Процесс технологической модернизации РХК необходимо выстраивать с учетом ранжированной системы ценностей: Человек – Общество – Природа – Технологии – Экономика. Он отличается человекоцентричностью создаваемой цифровой экосистемы РХК и способен дать синергетический эффект. Представлен алгоритм жизненного цикла новой продукции в контексте государственно-частного партнерства. Предлагаемый подход позволит повысить производство Hi – Tech продукции с обеспечением устойчивого развития РХК и экономики приморских регионов России. In recent years, the volume of the extraction of aquatic biological resources in Russia has ceased to grow, private entrepreneurship and digital transformation processes in the fishery industry are underdeveloped. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the need to use a digital ecosystem approach in organizing the activities of the fishery industry. It is proposed to carry out the digital transformation of the fishery industry congruently with the creation of the new technologies for deep processing of aquatic biological resources and the development of recycling. The process of technological modernization of the fishery industry should be built taking into account the ranked system of values: Man - Society - Nature - Technology - Economy. It is distinguished by the human-centricity of the created digital ecosystem of the fishery industry and is able to give a synergistic effect. The algorithm of the lifecycle of new products in the context of public-private partnership is presented. The proposed approach will increase the production of Hi-Tech products with ensuring the sustainable development of the fishery industry and the economy of the coastal regions of Russia.

Purpose This paper aims to assess information and communication technologies (ICT) policies for digital transformation in Colombia to determine their effectiveness in technology readiness for Internet of Things (IoT) adoption in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the trading sector. Design/methodology/approach The authors conducted a longitudinal study using the ICT module of the Annual Trade Survey (2017–2018) to determine the relationship between SMEs in the trading sector adopting ICT applications and ICT policy enforcement. In this sense, this study applied a chi-square test for independence and addressed a descriptive analysis to determine SMEs’ causes for adopting or rejecting ICT applications. Findings This study presents the state of ICT adoption in Colombian SMEs in the trading sector between 2017 and 2018, highlighting that technology readiness is crucial for adopting technological trends. Research limitations/implications The data source used for the study is only available for analysis one year after implementing ICT policies focused on digital transformation. Practical implications The results support the need for the National Government to formulate IoT policies that favor the adoption of e-commerce based on IoT technologies in SMEs in the trading sector. Social implications IoT adoption can mitigate e-commerce problems strengthening SMEs’ competitiveness in the trading sector leading the digital transformation in Colombia. Originality/value This study presents the need to formulate IoT policies in Colombia focused on deploying IoT applications to strengthen e-Commerce in SMEs in the trading sector.

The study illustrates a university research project of “Digital Documentation’s Ontology”, to be activated with other universities, of an Platform (P) – Building Information Modeling (BIM) articulated on a Contaminated Hybrid Representation (diversification of graphic models); the latter, able to foresee categories of Multi-Representations that interact with each other for to favour several representations, adapted to a different information density in the digital multi-scale production, is intended as platform (grid of data and information at different scales, semantic structure from web content, data and information storage database, archive, model and form of knowledge and ontological representation shared) of: inclusive digital ecosystem development; digital regenerative synergies of representation with adaptable and resilient content in hybrid or semi-hybrid Cloud environments; phenomenological reading of the changing complexity of environmental reality; hub solution of knowledge and simulcast description of information of Cultural Heritage (CH); multimedia itineraries to enhance participatory and attractive processes for the community; factor of cohesion and sociality, an engine of local development. The methodology of P-BIM/CHR is articulated on the following ontologies: Interpretative and Codification, Morphology, Lexicon, Syntax, Metamorphosis, Metadata in the participatory system, Regeneration, Interaction and Sharing. From the point of view the results and conclusion the study allowed to highlight: a) Digital Regenerative synergies of representation; b) Smart CH Model for an interconnection of systems and services within a complex set of relationships.

Purpose The author discusses the challenges of implementing a digital ecosystem, a way of transcending the boundaries of a firm to include additional producers to provide more value to customers and also by making customers active partners. Design/methodology/approach An ecosystem is intentionally organized to generate, facilitate and benefit from interactions rather than transactions. Findings The author explains how firms can make the customers active participants in creating and evolving the network by embracing the dynamic concept of an ecosystem. Practical/implications The ecosystem becomes more valuable to users as more users join. Originality/value Essential reading for executives experimenting with corporate digital platforms.

The goal is to study the issues and prospects of digitalization in agricultural sector, aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the republic's economy, increasing labor productivity, management efficiency, intensive production in agro-industrial complex. Objectives – to study the aspects of this issue related to the implementation of the State policy of creating information and digital platforms to increase the competitiveness and export potential of agricultural production in the regions. The results of the study showed that despite the increase in agricultural production in 2018-2020, the dynamic processes of development of the industry are not significantly associated with the introduction of digital solutions, since the critical mass of the use of electronic, network technologies has not yet been formed. Examples of digital services used in Kazakhstan are presented. Recommendations on informing agricultural producers about the inclusion of this set of issues during the national census of population, necessary for the formation of an appropriate database in agricultural sector have been presented. Some aspects of participation of stakeholders in the formation of digital platforms and the concept of creating an information and communication ecosystem of agro-industrial complex of the republic are considered. Proposals on participation of local executive bodies in the implementation of digital technologies for management of the industry have been developed. Measures for the development of digital competencies of agricultural specialists are proposed. Conclusions – informatization of agricultural sector contributes to a significant reduction in production costs, ensures the rational use of the potential of natural resources.

This paper aims to improve the effectiveness of the DESTE adaptive development, considering both intramural and regional educational needs and trends of the rapidly changing digital world. Empirical and analytical research methods were used. Analysis and synthesis of domestic and foreign researches in the field of creating educational ecosystems in the conditions of digitalization in education were performed. The results form the basis of an adaptive approach to create the DESTE and investigate its effectiveness in improving the quality of learning, which was performed using regression analysis. The paper substantiates the necessity and timeliness of creating the DESTE as a condition for accelerating intramural and cooperative (together with partners) innovative educational developments for their further transfer. The key features of DESTE and its significance for the training of digital education specialists were identified. A local digital ecosystem to study the "Information and Communication Technologies" subject was developed as a part of the university DESTE.

Aim.The presented study aims to develop and substantiate recommendations for the development of companies in the aviation industry using digital technologies.Tasks.The authors illustrate the need to use innovative business models based on modern digital technologies; provide a theoretical review of foreign and Russian scientific literature on the topic of the study; substantiate and present research methods, including the principles of selecting companies for the examination of their business models; obtain, structure, and present the results of the examination of business models of the selected companies; formulate conclusions and provide recommendations for the development of Russian companies in the aviation industry.Methods. To achieve the set aim, the authors examine business models of 20 innovative companies in the aviation industry, information about which is available at Crunchbase.com. Business models are analyzed using the business modeling concept proposed by A. Osterwalder and Y. Pigneur.Results. Business models of several innovative companies in the aviation industry are analyzed in a structured way. Recommendations for transforming the business models of companies in the aviation industry are proposed and substantiated, which should allow Russian market agents to compete on a global scale.Conclusions.The obtained results can prove useful to representatives of various economic sectors aiming to transform the business models of their companies, government officials willing to improve innovation regulation practices, and members of the scientific community engaged in conducting similar and/or further research.

In the context of global changes in the media market under the influence of Internet technologies, it becomes necessary to identify the main trends of its development, so the characteristic of the market trends, the integration process of entrepreneurial structures in the media industry, aimed at increasing their competitiveness at the present stage of development of the market economy. In the context of an ever-changing, competitive digital ecosystem and against the background of General cuts in advertising budgets in the print press, radio, and television, advertising investments in the digital environment are increasing starting in 2019. Revenues of legacy news media organizations (also called old or traditional media organizations) are constantly declining due to the high degree of audience participation in new media due to the use of user-generated content, media automation, and new digital media organizations. Using mathematical-statistical and logical research methods, the article identifies specific features of the media business sphere, which include audience fragmentation, culture of creative destruction, and hypercompetition in the media market. In addition, key issues and current changes in the media industry in the context of global digitalization are highlighted, reflecting the introduction of innovative technologies that affect the media industry, and the decline in traditional methods of delivery and media consumption. Global digitalization has affected the growth of media platforms, resulting in an increase in the supply of content itself, as well as significant changes in its consumption by the advertising market.

AI governance is like one of those mythical creatures that everyone speaks of but which no one has seen. Sometimes, it is reduced to a list of shared principles such as transparency, non-discrimination, and sustainability; at other times, it is conflated with specific mechanisms for certification of algorithmic solutions or ways to protect the privacy of personal data. We suggest a conceptual and normative approach to AI governance in the context of a global digital public goods ecosystem to enable progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Conceptually, we propose rooting this approach in the human capability concept—what people are able to do and to be, and in a layered governance framework connecting the local to the global. Normatively, we suggest the following six irreducibles: a. human rights first; b. multi-stakeholder smart regulation; c. privacy and protection of personal data; d. a holistic approach to data use captured by the 3Ms—misuse of data, missed use of data and missing data; e. global collaboration (‘digital cooperation’); f. basing governance more in practice, in particular, thinking separately and together about data and algorithms. Throughout the article, we use examples from the health domain particularly in the current context of the Covid-19 pandemic. We conclude by arguing that taking a distributed but coordinated global digital commons approach to the governance of AI is the best guarantee of citizen-centered and societally beneficial use of digital technologies for the SDGs.

Globalization and increased volatility of global markets, as well as increased competition, lead to the need for the business community to create new sustainable business models that are less susceptible to the negative effects of globalization. The sustainability of business models is determined by the effective use of resources: natural, material, financial and intellectual. The result of the transformation is the transition to network interaction and the formation of ecosystems of suppliers, partners, consumers and competitors around the business sphere. The main conclusions of the research paper are reduced to the need to achieve a comprehensive development of the digital economy, taking into account the interrelationships of economic processes and structural transformations. In this regard, the analysis of the relationship and principles of structural shifts in economic processes against the background of digital transformation becomes particularly relevant.

The area of research presented in the article are digital platforms. The platform approach, the platform economy, which primarily ensures the interaction of market participants, is gaining an increasing number of participants and is becoming more widespread in various industries: from trade to the hotel business and education.The article analyses the impact of the platform approach on the business model of the organization, namely, on the ability to create consumer value and deliver it to its customers, using the advantages of this approach. The ongoing transformation is more based on information technology, human capital, analytical decision-making tools, and business process flexibility. The paper also analyses the experience related to the implementation of the platforms in various countries and organizations.The study gives a possible business model of a platform organization and a University that has implemented platform solutions. The authors note that the mistakes made during the implementation of the platform are mostly due to the human factor: employees may not be ready for changes or are not technically educated enough. The indifference of managers also plays a role, because the risks arising from this are neutralized worse than others. To reduce the risks, the authors defined the directions of further research.

Digitization encourages journalism to transform. Since the development of digital media, communication and media scholars have predicted journalism to develop at two levels. First, journalism evolves along with technological developments and is involved in media disruption. Second, journalism sticks with professionalism and establish technology as a tool to realize social responsibility. Today we are dealing with the transformation in journalism that we get from disrupted contents, disrupted media companies, and collaboration among media institutions. Various digital journalism platforms have emerged as a manifestation of the diversity of content and diversity of media ownership. This was an exploratory study that aimed to explain collaborations among various media in the digital ecosystem. The focus of this study was to map media networks through media data distributed in various official media or regulators. The results of this study showed that in a digital ecosystem that promises many opportunities, digital journalism still has to deal with the dilemma between social responsibility and the political economy of media. On the one hand, digital journalism faces disruption which serves as a significant factor that encourages journalism to transform. On the other hand, digital journalism also deals with a natural selection that forces them to collaborate, i.e. a manifestation of the political economy of media. The advent of Industry 4.0 where humans and intelligent machines coexist, allows machines to assist humans on production lines. During such processes, humans work with other humans and/or machines to produce the required products, forming human-related collaborations. Therefore, Industry 4.0 goes beyond a digital ecosystem by being considered as a System of Information Systems which matches heterogeneous systems. This heterogeneity causes poor information interoperability, weakening the effectiveness of collaboration. This poses an issue: how to facilitate human-related collaborations on production lines into Industry 4.0? Addressing it requires better information interoperability and the definition of indicators that can be used to generate recommendations during collaborations. In this article, we focus on indicators of collaboration context and integrate them into a collaboration context ontology to enhance human-related collaborations into Industry 4.0. We then show how to use it in generating context-aware collaborator recommendations.

The empirical data were gathered through a workshop with focus groups of 15 servitization manufacturers (with 22 respondents), an on-site workshop (in-depth case study), semi-structured interviews, observations and document study of archival data.Findings: The DS trajectories are idiosyncratic and dependent on design architectures of PSSw modules, balancing choices between standardization and innovation. The adoption of software systems depends on the maturity of the industry-specific digital ecosystem. Decomposition and integration of PSSw modules facilitate DS transition through business model modularity. In 2021, ERNs are already in the deployment stage; however, their day-to-day functioning and realization of their potential are still severely hampered by many challenges, including issues in governance and regulation, lack of legal status, insufficient and unsustainable funding, lack of ERN integration into national systems, endangered collaboration with UK RD experts due to Brexit, insufficient exploitation of ERN potential in RD research, underappreciation of highly qualified human resources, problems with the involvement of patient representatives, and still unclear place of ERNs in the overall European RD and digital ecosystem. Bold and innovative solutions that must be taken to solve these challenges inevitably involve pan-European collaboration across several sectors and among multistakeholder RD communities and in many cases crucially rely on the constructive dialogue and coherent, united decisions of national and European authorities that are based on common EU values. Importantly, unresolved challenges may have a strong impact on the further sustainability of ERNs and their ability to realize full potential in addressing huge unmet needs of RD patients and their families.

Актуальним стає методологічний формат дослідження цифрової економіки, що враховує, з одного боку, глобальні тренди мережевізації, інтелектуалізації, індивідуалізації та диджиталізації, а з другого — сучасний ландшафт доповненої та змішаної реальності в межах віртуальної економіки. У концепті незворотності цифрової трансформації на основі узагальнення сучасних теоретичних розробок висвітлено її науково-практичні проблеми. Виявлено передумови, фактори й особливості становлення цифрової економіки. Увагу акцентовано на віртуалізації бізнесу, блокчейні, криптовалютах. Проілюстровано імператив обчислень у цифровій економіці у взаємозв’язку з еволюцію інтерфейсу. Digital technologies, treated in the article as a combination of information, processing, communication and technology, contribute to significant transformations in business models, business processes, products, services and relations with customers and other stakeholders. Due to the widespread realization of the real need to introduce information and communication technologies to enterprises, the digital transformation of companies continues. This situation prompts reflection and rethinking the strategies of enterprises subject to the process of digitization and at the same time participating in the network. This issue can be considered from the perspective of business ecosystems in which the exploration of organizational strategy problems increases significantly]. In addition, ecosystems are increasingly taking a digital form, which means sharing the standards of digital platforms (e.g. Google’s advertising ecosystem, Apple Appstore, Netsprint Audience) in order to achieve mutual benefits for participants. The digitization process influences the strengthening of inter-organizational relations between the participants of the business ecosystem, but is also an important determinant of changes in the area of competition and organization of various sectors. Companies, consumers, and products and services are massively connected via digital networks, which leads to increased network effects and joint value creation in ecosystems. The aim of the article is to conceptualize the digital strategy of business in enterprises that are participants of the ecosystem. The study is theoretical and conceptual in nature, and the research method used is the analysis and critique of literature. The article consists of two parts. The first part is devoted to discussing the digital business strategy. The second presents the properties of the business ecosystem, an enterprise ecosystem strategy rarely described in the management science literature, and discusses the strategic aspects of adopting a digital strategy by enterprises participating in the digital ecosystem. The summary presents the main conclusions of the considerations and sets out the directions for further research.

Purpose: This study aims to describe and analyze the relationship between readiness to change and agile leadership on the dynamic capabilities of SMEs. Furthermore, this study also examines the effect of dynamic capabilities in strengthening the digital ecosystem of SMEs. Design/methodology/approach: The data used in the study are collected from 250 SMEs through structured questionnaires. This study analyzes three hypotheses using structural equation modeling. Findings: The results of the study show that readiness to change and agile leadership can improve the dynamic capabilities of SMEs. The improved dynamic capabilities of SMEs are proven to be able to strengthen the digital ecosystem in SMEs. The results of this study are expected to contribute to SMEs in strengthening the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia. Research limitations/implications: This research has several limitation aspects, the research design is cross-sectional, and the research design cannot ensure that the causal relationship is specified in the hypothesis; in fact, the results tend to be consistent with theoretical reasoning. This study analyzes dynamic capabilities, a more specific approach may be needed to be able to fully utilize each process for the realization of a digital ecosystem. Another limitation, this study only examines the direct effect between a penchant for change and agile leadership on the capabilities of SMEs. Then test the direct influence between dynamic capabilities on the realization of a digital ecosystem. Practical Implications: The implication of the results of this research for management is as a literature on efforts to strengthen the digital ecosystem for SMEs through dynamic capabilities formed fro readiness to change and agile leadership. SME entrepreneurs must realize that change is a necessity along with the development of society and technology so that readiness to change becomes veri important. Besides, SME entrepreneurs are also required to have an agile leadership spirit so that they can guide and influence their team in achieving targets and solving problems properly. Originality/value: This study focuses on change readiness and agile leadership in relation to the dynamic capabilities of SMEs that can ultimately shape digital ecosystems. the results of this study provide additional empirical evidence for areas of research where there are few studies exist.

This paper serves as an introduction to a problem statement for the task of designing a digital ecosystem of public employment services(PES) supported by human-machine processes. It looks at AI and algorithms and the nature of their usage in PES and, also, how, by aligning with the Human Centered ethos of Professor Michael Cooley PES can be improved for the benefit of society. As a basis from which to start, this paper shines a light on an ongoing Horizon 2020 funded collaborative project called HECAT – Disruptive Technologies Supporting Labour Market Decision Making which started from February 2020 and runs to July 2023. The HECAT project is co-ordinated by Waterford Institute of Technology and supported by partners across Europe. It has been worked on by colleagues of the authors and is concerned with the development of new technologies that valorise the PES customer. It aims to improve the PES user experience by leveraging AI and algorithms to provide real-time evidence-based insights to improve services. Professor Michael Cooley founded, with many others, the Human-Centred Systems (HCS) movement. The HCS approach valorises human tacit knowledge and strives to augment but not replace the work of the human with technology using socially useful production for the benefit of society. This paper synthesises the work of HECAT research so far and similar works so far. This work embodies new trans-disciplinary research at the convergence point of artificial intelligence and the social sciences which is, in this paper, viewed through the lens of the collective works of Professor Michael Cooley.

An approach to the development of a digital ecosystem (DES) using predictive model and data fusion technics is presented with reference to industrial systems. Predictive models are based on data mining algorithms, wavelet analysis and the creation of knowledge bases. Digital identification models are presented, developed as digital twins for the state of DES. In turn, the control of DES is considered as situational control. The modern approach to the development of architecture for DES is proposed.

The present research is an innovative study that intends to analyse the effectiveness of a b-learning digital ecosystem implemented in the area of English phonetics and phonology. It also aims to highlight the benefits of some transmissive, interactive, and collaborative resources in learning of the subject. It is a quantitative research with an ex-post-facto design, collecting data through a questionnaire. The results demonstrated that pre-service teachers had positive views towards the digital ecosystem to improve their English pronunciation level and their ability to perceive and produce English more accurately. The findings also emphasized the potential of the digital ecosystem to provide a more natural environment for pronunciation practice and a more individualized instruction focused on learners who become active learners generating knowledge.

The world of business has evolved from the 19th century (steam, rail and electricity) to the 20th century (telephone, radio, television and, especially, the computer as the greatest information technology that converts analogue signals into a digital form including binary digits), and the 21st century (the fourth industrial revolution (4th IR) – described as the advent of “cyber-physical systems” involving entirely new capabilities for people and machines). Digital entrepreneurship is an emergent phenomenon in which new digital artefacts, platforms and infrastructure are used to pursue innovative and entrepreneurial opportunities, which, to a certain extent calls into questions the relevance and applicability of traditional understandings of entrepreneurship. The study on which this article is based investigated digital entrepreneurship’s impact on the dynamic social networking market in light of the infusion of disruptive and innovative technology. It aimed to determine the entrepreneurship capability and competence that impact on digital music change management; and to examine the extent to which digital music distribution balances the driving forces of digitisation and the restraining forces from disruptive technology. An exploratory research design was adopted using univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis techniques to analyse the data collected from 217 musicians. The study found that the Internet is capable of reliable delivery of music processes, products and services, thereby enhancing supply chain distribution competence and capability. Digital entrepreneurial innovations enable independent artists to create music according to their tastes and customer demand. Independent music production and creation drive the economic entrepreneurial dimension while technological advancements encourage digital independent music distribution.

La nueva participación digital apoyada en las nuevas tecnologías exige una nueva manera de entender la democracia, la deliberación y la votación electrónica. Es un paradigma que no alcanza con tecnificar los procedimientos tradicionales. Surgen problemas que son eminentemente propios del nuevo ecosistema digital. Por ejemplo, la participación masiva a través de plataformas de deliberación electrónica encierra unos desafíos completamente nuevos. No puede compararse la gestión tradicional en un auditorio presencial de algunas decenas de personas con la intervención activa de cientos o miles de usuarios online. Sencillamente, hay que gestionar de manera nueva y particular las diferentes opciones digitales que emergen. Por ello, para alcanzar una democracia electrónica deseable, es imprescindible señalar certeramente cuáles son las amenazas más acuciantes que pueden desvirtuar una sana democracia. En las siguientes líneas, expondré los desafíos más relevantes.

In oder to increase farmers' income, innovation is needed in agriculture business that focuses on empowering farmers as the main actors. An agricultural ecosystem is needed that puts farmers on par with other stakeholders. So a digital agricultural ecosystem is designed, inspired by SFVCD FAO and the writer’s experience in accompanying farmers from 2015 to 2019. The design of this agricultural digital ecosystem ensures the role of digital technology so that the ecosystem can run openly, fairly and get commitment from all stakeholders in its implementation. The purpose of this preliminary study is to determine the feasibility of designing agricultural digital ecosystems by knowing farmers' perception of the 3 benefits of the design of the agricultural digital ecosystem in providing opportunities to increase farmers' income. The design of this agricultural digital ecosystem ensures the position of farmers on a par with other stakeholders, namely market providers, cultivation ordinance providers, production facilities providers, technology providers, fund providers and ecosystem guarantors. The use of digital technology to ensure that the ecosystem can run openly, fairly and get commitment from all stakeholders in its implementation. This digital ecosystem relies on recording activities and transactions digitally by farmers and other stakeholders in line with the increasing literacy of digital technology among agricultural businesses. This research uses case study approach of papaya farmers in Yogyakarta. The results of this research showed that the stakeholder of papaya farmers in Yogyakarta is only one buyer of harvest or offtaker. As for agriculture practices provider and funding does not involve other parties or made / borne by farmers themselves. The results showed that the benefits of price certainty at the beginning and certainty of procedures and means of production in the design of the digital ecosystem of agriculture are perceived by farmers as an opportunity to increase farmers' income, while the benefits of funding availability is perceived by farmers as a chance of reducing farmers' income. PurposeThis study aims to increase understanding regarding the transformation of traditional business models, integrating digital technologies. The significance of digitisation within business models has increased dramatically in recent years. Because of this, new knowledge on how to transform traditional business models into digital business models in a systematic way is needed. Digital technologies, embedded in previously non-digital goods, force companies to rethink their business models.Design/methodology/approachA design science research methodology was chosen for this study. A literature review and semi-structured interviews served as the theoretical foundation to integrate behavioural science into the design science process. From the design science perspective, an artefact is introduced to provide an architectural framework to manage business model innovation in a systematic way. The artefact's application is demonstrated through a case study conducted at a real company and evaluated afterwards by means of structured interviews with experts.FindingsThe authors propose a highly useable and valuable conceptual framework for systematic business model innovation. In this article, a learning community is analysed from the perspective of «trialogical learning», and the components of the triad are identified: elements, interactions, and products. The case study offers the possibility of transferring this knowledge for the transformation of formal learning.

An approach to the process of forming a digital ecosystem in industry in the context of digitalization has been presented. The aim of the study is to develop recommendations on the formation of a digital ecosystem of industrial cooperation based on the use of the technical capabilities of digital platforms in the context of the expansion of the digital industry. The result of the study is a digital ecosystem based on the theory of a new industrial society. The article emphasizes that advantage of reindustrialization for industry is to use a digital platform and to work with big data. The generated results will contribute to scientific research aimed at implementing digital transformation programs for industrial enterprises.

PurposeIndustry 4.0, the integrated digital process world in production, is an under researched area. Especially for the wine industry, 4.0 theoretical base up to date is weak, impeding further digital transformation of the wine industry. Some basic-level digital capabilities exist in most of the researched business models, which is why further digital transformation requires strategic redefining of business models in order to further transform the whole industry.Design/methodology/approachA qualitative research approach based on the concept of business model innovation (BMI) has been deployed in order to identify business models and consensus building between industry´s stakeholders. Semistructured interviews delivered primary data.FindingsThe diversity of existing business models in the wine industry as well regarding BMI is confirmed, where each one occupies a specific place in the innovation ecosystem for Industry 4.0.Research limitations/implicationsThis qualitative research is exploratory and directed toward theory building. The presented study examines the specific sectoral aspects of formation of the digital image of socioeconomic systems. The subject of the study is the logistics system for military customers. Aim . This study aims to examine the problems and prospects of forming a promising digital image of the key element of military-economic relations — the logistics system for military customers. At the same time, the digital transformation of this system is considered not as an independent phenomenon, but in the context of a broader trend involving organizational and technological transformations. Tasks . The authors identify stages in the development of theoretical ideas about the organizational transformations of the examined system; consider the key technologies that can serve as a basis of the digital logistics system for military customers; formulate the principles of operation of this system based on the provisions of the ecosystem approach. Methods . The study uses the methodology of the ecosystem approach, military-economic and evolutionary analysis, methods of grouping, comparison, and expert assessment. Results . Digitalization is found to be one of the key trends in modern socio-economic development. However, the studies of this phenomenon remain insufficiently diverse from the sectoral perspective. The digitalization of military-economic processes is a particularly underexplored area. The authors propose to consider it in the context of not only general socio-economic, but also specific sectoral organizational and technological transformations associated with the improvement of the national (military) security system. It is established that this approach is new and integrates previous directions of Russian research into the transformations of the examined complex sectoral socio-economic system. The conducted analysis indicates that the following key technologies can serve as a basis for an advanced digital logistics system for military customers: Internet of things; big data; cloud technologies; artificial intelligence; virtual and augmented reality; blockchain; process automation; additive manufacturing. When developing such a system, it is recommended to apply the principles of transparency, modularity, platform approach, integrality, and network nature. Conclusions . The conducted study shows that the formation of the digital image of socio-economic systems has peculiar industry-specific features that should be taken into account when creating and developing such systems. In particular, the study highlights this specificity in relation to the logistics system for military customers. The formulated theoretical provisions and practical recommendations can be used to improve this system.

the purpose of the study is to identify the main trends in the development of the tourism and hospitality industry in the digital economy. The analysis of digital technologies used in the tourism and hospitality industry is carried out. It is shown that tourism, being an extremely rich information sphere, has all the prerequisites for the formation of a digital infrastructure in the form of a digital ecosystem. As a result, promising directions and opportunities for the formation of an end-to-end information space in the field of tourism and hospitality, uniting many suppliers of tourism services, sellers and consumers, were identified. The tourism industry, in terms of its infrastructure, is most consistent with the characteristics of an ecosystem, and taking into account the speed of implementation of digital technologies, a digital ecosystem is already being formed. As a result, proposals were formulated to improve information and communication support for the tourism industry as a digital ecosystem.

Purpose: The presented article is aimed at exploring the possibilities of utilizing digital platforms as a key tool for transforming the regional economy, based on the classification of types and revealing the advantages of digital platforms. Design/Methodology/Approach: In the current conditions of regional transformation and the integration of traditional production and marketing processes into the electronic market conditions, any economic agents including commercial enterprises, non-profit organizations and public authorities, should use the advantages of digital platforms in the process of satisfying the needs of customers and the interests of stakeholders. The methodological grounds of this study are based on a systematic approach and a classification method, which are used to substantiate the advantages and possible limitations of introducing digital platforms into the activities of economic and social actors of the regional economy. Findings: The following advantages of digital platforms as a tool for the development of the regional economy are revealed: consolidation in one place of the external resources of various business partners; the ability to seamlessly integrate new functional modules into an existing platform; economies of scale on the demand side; reduction in transaction costs; platform value growth with an increase in the number of users; increased returns as the network effect of the digital ecosystem develops; opportunities for quick monetization and capitalization of the service; the presence of control of all business processes of the digital ecosystem. It is proposed to highlight innovative, informational, communication, commercial, professional digital platforms and digital government services platforms. Practical implications: In practice, the results of the study will help to determine the vectors for the further implementation of various types of digital platforms in the economy of the region, taking into account the interests of owners, participants, users and stakeholders of regional electronic platforms. Originality/value: The introduction of digital platforms into the economic system will be the driver of the development of the regional economy due to faster and better satisfaction of the needs of owners, participants, users and stakeholders of electronic platforms.
