The article focuses on the use of Apple Corp.'s Final Cut Pro software in British Broadcasting Corp.'s production. With a laptop on set, the production crew can see work-in-progress almost by the minute and digital daily "rushes" can be sent via the Internet back to London for the executive producer. Producers needs to see rushes so that they can be relaxed that directors that they have employed are doing well. Jon Attard stresses that FCP is not necessarily cheaper and might not even save time but it will allows more creativity.
