Abstract

The article presents an observational study which evaluates the impact of presurgical breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on the surgical management of patients with early-stage breast cancer who were candidates for breast conserving treatment (BCT). The study classified all eligible patients according to the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data system (BI-RADS) system. Moreover, the study revealed the utility of MRI in presurgical workup of selected cancer patients.
