Abstract

In this article, the authors comment on the article "The potential for neonatal organ donation in a children's hospital" by E. Charles, A. Scales, J. Brierley published in a 2014 issue of the journal. Topics discussed include transplantation of an infant kidney who died of hypoxic brain injury to 22-year-old female, risks associated with the transplantation such as dysplasia, hyperfiltration injury and vascular thrombosis, and donation after circulatory death (DCD) procedure in Great Britain.
