The article presents case study of a 9-year-old, African American female child, who was admitted with two weeks of mild, diffuse abdominal pain and two days of pronounced scleral icterus. Laboratory tests of the patient revealed a microcytic anemia, and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) scan was notable for a nodular liver. hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with active micronodular cirrhosis, and α-Fetoprotein immunostaining was found positive in the tumor cells.
