Three new Chinese species of the genus Mesonemoura (Plecoptera: Nemouridae), Mesonemoura dilatata Du & Ji, sp. nov., M. sichuanensis Du & Ji, sp. nov. and M. sinistracurva Du & Wang, sp. nov., are described and illustrated. Mesonemoura dilatata is characterized by the flagellum of the epiproct being long and curved, forming a swollen membranous apex. Mesonemoura sichuanensis is characterized by tergum 9 forming a pair of obtuse angles mid-posteriorly, and by the ventral sclerite of the epiproct being basally broad, 2 × the width of the dorsal sclerite. Mesonemoura sinistracurva is characterized by the presence of a long stylus that curves abruptly to the left as it leaves the tip of the epiproct. A key to the Chinese species of this genus is presented.

Four new species of the genus Amphinemura (Plecoptera: Nemouridae) were described from Sichuan, China with morphological descriptions and illustrations, i.e., A. gyracantha Ji & Du sp. nov., A. digitata Ji & Du sp. nov., A. spinellosa Du & Ji sp. nov., and A. qingchengshana Ji & Du sp. nov. A. gyracantha is similar to Amphinemura dispositspina Du & Wang, 2007 in the epiproct, but the morphology of the lateral arm of the epiproct and the median paraproct lobe of the new species is diagnostic. A. digitata is related to A. sclerotica Du and Zhou, 2007 in having a similar paraproct in the ventral view, but the epiproct of two new species is distinct. A. spinellosa is similar to A. lii Zhu and Yang, 2003 in the paraproct, but A. denticulat can be easily separated by inner lobe slightly sclerotized and outer lobe separated from median lobe. A. qingchengshana is related to A. claassenia Wu, 1935 in having a similar epiproct, but they differ mostly in the details of paraproct.

Two new species of the genus Amphinemura Ris from China are described and illustrated, i.e. A. annulata Du & Ji, sp. n. from Zhejiang, Shanxi, Shaanxi and Guizhou Province, and A. lingulata Du & Wang, sp.n. from Shaanxi and Sichuan Province. A. annulata is similar to A. tricintusidens Wang & Zhu inan apical cavity of the epiproct, but the epiproct ventral sclerite and the median paraproct lobe of the two species are different. A. lingulata is related to A. didyma Zhu & Yang inthe similar epiproct, but they differ mostly in paraproct median and outer lobes.

Four new types of iodo-bridged binuclear platinum complexes [Pt2AI5] (A = dimethylamine, pyridine, 2-methylpyridine, and o-toluidine) (a-d) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity, thermal analysis, IR, 1H NMR, and mass spectra techniques. The cytotoxicity was investigated by MTT assay. The results indicate that complexes (a-d) have certain cytotoxicity against Bel-7402, HCT-8 and Hela cell lines. The complex a, c, and d display increased cytotoxicity than cisplatin against HCT-8, Bel-7402 and Hela cell lines, respectively. The results suggest that these complexes have selectivity against the tested carcinoma cell lines, with the amine ligand having an important effect on the cytotoxicity.

We present the complete mitogenome of a stonefly, Cryptoperla stilifera Sivec (Plecoptera; Peltoperlidae). The mitogenome was a circular molecule consisting of 15,633 nucleotides, 37 genes and a A+T-rich region. C. stilifera mitogenome was similar to Pteronarcys princeps mitogenome (Plecoptera; Pteronarcyidae). All transfer RNA genes (tRNAs) had typical cloverleaf secondary structures except for trnSer (AGN), where the stem-loop structure of the dihydrouridine (DHU) arm was missing. The A+T-rich region of C. stilifera had two stem-loops and each had two interlink. Three conserved sequence blocks (CSBs) were present in the A+T-rich regions of C. stilifera, Peltoperla tarteri and Peltoperla arcuata. Moreover, many polynucleotide stretches (Poly N, N=A, T and C) in the A+T-rich region of C. stilifera Phylogenetic relationships of Polyneopteran species were constructed based on the nucleotide sequences of 13 protein coding genes (PCGs). Both maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI) analyses supported Grylloblattodea as the sister group to Plecoptera+Dermaptera and Embiidina and Phasmatodea as sister groups.
