In this paper the problem of computer-aided body posture assessment is discussed with regard to faulty posture prophylaxis. The motivation behind the study was little popularity of this kind of assessment in the work of physiotherapists and other health professionals in Poland, in particular in screening studies. Research results confirmed high quality of computer methods andprovided justification for their wider use. Directions of development for software and its potential uses were also proposed.
