Knowledge of the significan and representative load spectra is one important requirement for a high-quality, quick durability life approval of vehicle components on a test rig or by calculation. The way that such load spectra can be derived from measurements is demonstrated in this paper by the example of a passenger car drive line. The paper includes a brief introduction followed by an oudine of the objectives. The proposed approach will then be illustrated and the results will be presented.
