The article focuses on benefits of team sports for students with special needs. Topics include how to encourage and motivate special needs students to make exercise or some physical activity part of their weekly routine, benefits of team sports for individual players, and opportunities for children offered by team sports. Learning communication skills during team sports and learning to use unusual preoccupations as strengths that can be integrated into a physical activity are also discussed.
