The article examines the factors that affect the investment decisions of companies. "Business Week" conducted an experiment in November 1954 to determine the situation and the management attitudes of a group of companies that have expanded capital spending and another group that have cut it back. The results indicate that solid facts on the company books seem to make more difference than expectations or attitudes of businessmen.
