Value co‐creation as a research topic has been a critical proposition of interest to a wide range of disciplines. In recent years, the field of cultural heritage has also developed a range of information practices to promote different forms of value co‐creation. While the body of literature has begun to accumulate, we still lack a comprehensive understanding of conceptual foundations and how value co‐creation is implemented in cultural heritage information practices. This paper conducted a hermeneutic literature review to understand and conceptualize the core aspects of value co‐creation in various cultural heritage information works. In particular, this paper provides a research mapping of the genres of co‐creation in cultural heritage information practices, the actors, and the roles played by the stakeholders. Further, this review provides an overview of the dominant value co‐creation models in the cultural heritage field. It distills the drivers of value co‐creation and the core value consequences that arise from a process perspective. Finally, this paper puts forward a thematic, theoretical, and methodological agenda for future work based on these findings. The review contributes to the literature by proposing an integrated conceptual framework that summarizes the core elements of value co‐creation in cultural heritage information practices. In its mission to optimise the quality of patient care and the level of clinician training within the fields of biotherapy, the BioTherapeutics, Education and Research (BTER) Foundation and its Maggot Therapy Competency Committee identified qualities and achievements assessed to be the minimum standards that health care professionals should attain in order to be deemed competent in maggot therapy. The set of six standards were selected to reflect the same high degree of professionalism that is used by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education for assessing other medical specialists, but with an emphasis on the principles and practice of maggot therapy. For each domain in which competency is expected, the rationale has been explained, specific competencies have been articulated, and methods for demonstrating or evaluating those competencies have been suggested. Applicable to any clinician applying maggot dressings professionally, these recommendations should assist those who wish to identify, assess, or achieve competency in maggot therapy. Specifically, these six competencies include: (1) knowledge about wound care in general and maggot therapy in particular; (2) skill in general patient care, to a level commensurate with their professional role; (3) ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and the general public; (4) professional and ethical behaviour; (5) ability to deliver systems‐based health care; (6) incorporation of continuing education and quality improvement into their practice. Summary: The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Capture the Fracture® Campaign with the Fragility Fracture Network (FFN) and National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) has developed eleven patient-level key performance indicators (KPIs) for fracture liaison services (FLSs) to guide quality improvement. Introduction: Fracture Liaison Services (FLSs) are recommended worldwide to reduce fracture risk after a sentinel fracture. Given not every FLS is automatically effective, the IOF Capture the Fracture working group has developed and implemented the Best Practice Framework to assess the organisational components of an FLS. We have now developed a complimentary KPI set that extends this assessment of performance to the patient level. Methods: The Capture the Fracture working group in collaboration with the Fragility Fracture Network Secondary Fragility Fracture Special Interest Group and National Osteoporosis Foundation adapted existing metrics from the UK-based Fracture Liaison Service Database Audit to develop a patient-level KPI set for FLSs. Results: Eleven KPIs were selected. The proportion of patients: with non-spinal fractures; with spine fractures (detected clinically and radiologically); assessed for fracture risk within 12 weeks of sentinel fracture; having DXA assessment within 12 weeks of sentinel fracture; having falls risk assessment; recommended anti-osteoporosis medication; commenced of strength and balance exercise intervention within 16 weeks of sentinel fracture; monitored within 16 weeks of sentinel fracture; started anti-osteoporosis medication within 16 weeks of sentinel fracture; prescribed anti-osteoporosis medication 52 weeks after sentinel fracture. The final KPI measures data completeness for each of the other KPIs. For these indicators, levels of achievement were set at the < 50%, 50–80% and > 80% levels except for treatment recommendation where a level of 50% was used. Conclusion: This KPI set compliments the existing Best Practice Framework to support FLSs to examine their own performance using patient-level data. By using this KPI set for local quality improvement cycles, FLSs will be able to efficiently realise the full potential of secondary fracture prevention and improved clinical outcomes for their local populations. A summary of systematic reviews and meta-analyses addressing the benefits and risks of dietary protein intakes for bone health in adults suggests that dietary protein levels even above the current RDA may be beneficial in reducing bone loss and hip fracture risk, provided calcium intakes are adequate. Several systematic reviews and meta-analyses have addressed the benefits and risks of dietary protein intakes for bone health in adults. This narrative review of the literature summarizes and synthesizes recent systematic reviews and meta-analyses and highlights key messages. Adequate supplies of dietary protein are required for optimal bone growth and maintenance of healthy bone. Variation in protein intakes within the “normal” range accounts for 2-4% of BMD variance in adults. In older people with osteoporosis, higher protein intake (≥ 0.8-g/kg body weight/day, i.e., above the current RDA) is associated with higher BMD, a slower rate of bone loss, and reduced risk of hip fracture, provided that dietary calcium intakes are adequate. Intervention with dietary protein supplements attenuate age-related BMD decrease and reduce bone turnover marker levels, together with an increase in IGF-I and a decrease in PTH. There is no evidence that diet-derived acid load is deleterious for bone health. Thus, insufficient dietary protein intakes may be a more severe problem than protein excess in the elderly. Long-term, well-controlled randomized trials are required to further assess the influence of dietary protein intakes on fracture risk. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

These variants exhibit discrete genetic aberrations, yielding disparate clinical phenotypes and therapeutic modalities. Intrahepatic, perihilar, and distal CCAs intricately involve distinct segments of the biliary tree, further categorized as well-differentiated, moderately differentiated, or poorly differentiated adenocarcinomas based on their histological differentiation. Understanding the etiological factors contributing to CCA development assumes paramount importance. Challenges intensify, particularly in cases classified as cancer of unknown origin, underscoring the imperative for early intervention. Advancements in genomic sequencing have revolutionized precision medicine in CCA. Distinct genomic markers, including fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 (FGFR2) alterations and isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutations, have emerged as promising therapeutic targets. FGFR2 alterations, encompassing mutations and rearrangements, play pivotal roles in oncogenesis, with FGFR inhibitors demonstrating promise despite identified resistance mechanisms. With the growing use of artificial intelligence, search engine providers are increasingly pushing advertisers to use automated bidding strategies based on machine learning. Such automated decision‐making systems leave advertisers in the dark about the data being used and how they can influence the outcome of the decision‐making process. Previous literature on artificial intelligence lacks an understanding of the dangers related to artificially intelligent systems and their lack of transparency. In response, our paper addresses the inherent risks of the automated optimization of advertisers' bidding strategies in search engine advertising. The selected empirical case of a service company therefore demonstrates how data availability can trigger a long‐term decline in advertising performance and how search engine advertising performance metrics develop before and after an event of data scarcity. Based on data collected for 525 days, difference‐in‐differences analysis shows that the algorithmic approach has a considerable and lasting negative impact on advertising performance. Furthermore, the empirical case indicates that self‐regulated learning can initialize a downward spiral that gradually impairs advertising performance. Thus, the aim of this study is to increase awareness regarding automated decision‐making dangers in search engine advertising and help advertisers take preventive measures to reduce the risks of algorithm missteps. Background: Although medical school typically lasts 4 years, little attention has been devoted to the structure of the educational experience that takes place during the final year of medical school.Summary: In this perspectives paper, we outline goals for the 4th year of medical school to facilitate a transition from undergraduate to graduate medical education. We provide recommendations for capstone courses, subinternship rotations, and specialty-specific schedules, and we conclude with recommendations to medical students and medical schools for how to use the recommendations contained in this document.Conclusions: We provide an overview of general competencies and specialty specific recommendations to serve as a foundation for medical schools to develop robust 4th-year curricula and for medical students to plan their 4th-year schedules. Clinical social work practice in organisational settings is complex and challenging. Effective practice is contingent on knowledge and skills that are particular for systems-based work involving multiple interprofessional mental health practitioners and clients interacting in a relational matrix. Yet, not all social work theories and constructs that were developed for application in individual, group, and family modalities are directly transferable to the practice environment of a treatment system. This paper offers a conceptual framework that synthesises contemporary psychodynamic theory with systems theory – referred to as a psychodynamic systems approach – to inform and advance knowledge of systems-based social work practice. This approach considers the interplay of dynamic processes among the four levels of the socially co-constructed system which constitute the system as a whole. It examines how five key clinical phenomena – transference, countertransference, splitting, projective identification and enactment – are actualised in systems. Definitions of these phenomena formulated from a dyadic perspective and a contemporary psychodynamic systems approach are offered, and their similarities and differences are discussed. This study analyzed all Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication refereed convention papers from 1999 to 2008 with regard to author names and author institutional affiliations, in order to rank by productivity individual scholars and institutions globally. All refereed papers sponsored by twenty-seven AEJMC organizational units were examined by author name and affiliation to establish institutional productivity patterns and rankings based on the Carnegie Classification system, and individual productivity rankings per organizational unit. The link between top paper productivity and refereed regular paper productivity was assessed with regard to AEJMC organizational units. While top paper institutional productivity was substantially correlated with institutional refereed regular paper productivity, this was not the case for individual paper productivity. Findings are potentially useful for students, educators, and administrators by filling a void in the literature on leading institutions and individuals across specialties of journalism and mass communication represented in AEJMC. The Association of State and Territorial Directors of Nursing vision for emergency preparedness is that every community, family, and individual will have a comprehensive emergency preparedness plan that minimizes the consequences of disasters and emergencies, and enables communities, families, and individuals to respond and recover. This position paper provides national and state policy guidance during emergencies to all public health nurses in the United States and its Territories. Public health nurses bring critical experience to each phase of a disaster: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Public health nurses strive to achieve individual competencies so that they may better collaborate with others and contribute to emergency preparedness and response. Twelve Emergency Preparedness Competencies are listed in this position paper that will assist public health nurses with disaster prevention, planning, response, recovery, drills, exercises, and training. The article presents the consensus paper of the Austrian Associations of Intensive Care Medicine on therapy limitation and therapy discontinuation in intensive care units. The goals and limitations of the Association in presenting the paper are presented. Librarians, through their professional associations, have long been committed to the social justice principle embedded in the concept of 'free access to information'. External censorship challenges to library collections threaten this principle overtly. However, censorship can also occur in libraries in various covert and often unconcious ways. This discussion paper raises concerns about current practices and processes which can effectively censor library collections from within. In this paper I describe the origin and spirit of the meeting of about 200 European, Israeli, and American psychoanalysts for a week in Siracusa, Sicily, to consider our work as embedded in our Greco-Roman cultural roots while we reveled, Dionysius-like, in that culture in many forms: drama, archeology, food, wine, and music. Organized by five institutes and hosted by ISIPSé (Rome), in June 2004, this meeting revolved around evening performances of Medea and Oedipus Rex in the ancient Greek theater and was entitled "Dionysius' Ear: Trauma, Tragedy, and Psychoanalytic Listening." Background: The selective publication of articles based on factors, such as positive outcome, statistical significance and study size is known as publication bias. If publication bias is present, any clinical decision based on a review of the published work will also be biased. Publication bias has been shown in various specialties, based on review of publication rates for abstracts presented at major scientific meetings. This study was conducted to investigate publication bias in orthopaedics. Methods: Abstracts presented at the 1998 Australian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting were reviewed independently by two reviewers. Details of sample size, study setting, country of origin, outcome and study type were recorded for each abstract. Publication within 5 years was ascertained by electronic searching of Medline and Embase databases and direct author contact. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify predictors of publication. Results: The overall publication rate was 31%. Publication was more likely if the study was a laboratory study, rather than a clinical study (odds ratio (OR), 3.45; 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.69–7.01, P < 0.001). Sample size, country of origin, study type, statistical significance and positive outcome were not significantly associated with publication. Conclusion: According to this study, laboratory studies were significantly more likely to be published than clinical studies. In contrast to previous studies, publication bias due to the selective publication of papers with a positive outcome or those reporting statistical significance was not found. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Factors associated with the borrowing behavior of young adults who are transitioning from financial dependence to financial independence were identified. Data used were from the 2009 Transition to Adulthood and its parental companion data set, Panel Studies of Income Dynamics. Results indicate that age, gender, race, and work status are associated with the debt burden of young adults. Conversely, closeness to mother and communication, parental resources, and human capital attainment are negatively associated with borrowing behavior. Introduction: At present there is no curriculum to guide physician lifelong learning in a prescribed, deliberate manner. The Conjoint Committee on Continuing Medical Education, a group representing 16 major stakeholder organizations in continuing medical education, recommends that each specialty society and corresponding board reach consensus on the competencies expected of physicians in that specialty. Experts in a specialty will define content-based core competencies in the areas of patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, and systems-based practice. These competencies, when cross-referenced with expertise, comprise a framework for specialty curricula and board maintenance of certification programs. The American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Ophthalmology already have implemented this recommendation. Their work is reported as a model for further development. Cancer imposes a significant burden on patients, their families, and society, often affecting quality of life for years following initial diagnosis. Outcomes and quality of care for patients with cancer recently have come into question, emphasizing the need to understand the role of oncology nurses in ensuring the delivery of high-quality cancer care aimed at producing measurable and acceptable outcomes. This article describes patient outcomes that are amenable to nursing intervention (nursing-sensitive patient outcomes [NSPOs]) and the role of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) in ensuring patients' ability to receive care that enables them to achieve the best outcomes. The article presents information about a national survey of position papers on issues related to children. The national survey discovered key points of post-1980 position papers on the welfare, education, and health of young children birth to eight years of age. The survey revealed consistent themes as well as a consent of professional thought on recommended responses to the concerns. About 107 position papers were collected in the survey and 155 national, regional and state organizations were represented. The survey resulted in the creation of a resource reference of these 107 position papers. The percentages lack complete accuracy as respondents often submitted position papers from other organizations.

GLAM organizations have been digitizing their collections and making them available for the public for several decades. Recent methods for publishing digital collections such as "GLAM Labs" and "Collections as Data" provide guidelines for the application of computational methods to reuse the contents of cultural heritage institutions in innovative and creative ways. Jupyter Notebooks have become a powerful tool to foster use of these collections by digital humanities researchers. Based on previous approaches for quality assessment, which have been adapted for cultural heritage collections, this paper proposes a methodology for assessing the quality of projects based on Jupyter Notebooks published by relevant GLAM institutions. A list of projects based on Jupyter Notebooks using cultural heritage data has been evaluated. Common features and best practices have been identified. A detailed analysis, that can be useful for organizations interested in creating their own Jupyter Notebooks projects, has been provided. An Arts Council is established for the purpose of "preserving, promoting, propagating and fostering the arts and culture of their various states". Other aims of an Arts Council are to improve the knowledge, understanding and practice of the arts, and to make them more accessible to the public. Paradoxically, the Arts Council has been widely criticized by critics as the citadel of bureaucratic establishment art, whose objectives are too ill-defined to make evaluation possible. Most charges are those of being unrepresentative, undemocratic and irresponsible. The questions evolving from these are: how accessible is the arts to the public? Who does the Arts Council serve? Why do we have an Arts Council? In an attempt to answer these questions and others, the paper examines the trends in public and private support for government-owned cultural institutions. The article presents a working paper which aims to suggest a possible framework to develop a meaningful relationship between the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and European Union (EU) institutions. The American Physiological Society (APS) Legacy Project and its accompanying Essays on APS Classic Papers have allowed the scientific community on-line access to the entire collection of APS publications since their inception in 1898 (http://www.the-aps.org/publications/legacy/ and http://www.the-aps.org/publications/classics/). The availability of the classic physiological studies provides a unique teaching opportunity. The classic paper of Dr. Dwight Ingle represents just such a study. Dr. Ingle demonstrated that, using only purified extracts of the pituitary (ACTH) and adrenal cortex (corticosterone) and hypophysectomized rats, he could establish several of the basic principles of the control of adrenal function and glucocorticoid negative feedback that are now standard teaching material in endocrinology. An annotated figure from Dr. Ingle's paper is provided, which, when assigned to undergraduate or graduate students, will allow discovery learning. Furthermore, the brilliance and imagination of the physiologists of the last century are highlighted, which allows an appreciation of the seminal work of our predecessors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to determine the maturity level of knowledge sharing and recommendations to increase the maturity level in Telco organizations, especially in the territory area of PT ABC. This research uses KSM2 (Knowledge Sharing Maturity Model) to determine its maturity level into five stages, namely no KS level, project level, department level, organization level, and knowledge sharing at all levels. A mixed method was conducted in this study through literature review of papers and a survey of 100 respondents with 20 questions divided into three categories, Project level, Department level, and Organizational level. The result shows that the company in the territory area reaches an organizational level in the KSM2 model. The practice of knowledge sharing is good enough that takes place in the organization. but for feedback improvement, it has not been done well, there is no place to accommodate this yet. This research recommends some improvements to knowledge sharing in organizations. First, at the project level to improve proactive knowledge sharing with motivation. Second, at the department level to improve courage to express opinion in meetings. Third, at the organizational level must have routine knowledge sharing formally with a calendar of events. Besides the three points above, feedback and criticism to improve knowledge-sharing practice must be followed up to gain the next level in KS Maturity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Development of infrastructure for successful and sustained health initiatives in the workplace has been recommended, yet not all components have been studied together. This paper evaluates these practices as a combined set of recommendations for those interested in improving the health of their worksite. Objective: Workplace health programs can be ineffective, and changes are likely to be temporary without first establishing a wellness infrastructure. This study sought to determine whether attending a WorkWell KS Building the Worksite Wellness Foundation (Foundation) workshop enabled worksites to develop this infrastructure. Methods: Survey data were collected from worksites before attending a workshop and approximately 1 year later. Survey items were designed to assess whether the worksite was implementing best practices. Results: In total, 212 worksites participated in a workshop and completed both a baseline and follow-up assessments. At follow-up, more worksites reported having a wellness committee (89.6% vs 59.7%, P < 0.001) and having wellness committee duties included in position descriptions (26.2% vs 6.4%, P < 0.001). Conclusions: This study suggests that Foundation workshops can support worksites' implementation of best practices to establish worksite wellness infrastructure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents information on the position of the Society for Nutrition Education (SNE) with U.S. Congress regarding the Improved Nutrition and Physical Activity Act (IMPACT). The efforts made by the Congress to address obesity and overweight through the IMPACT bill are applauded by SNE. SNE, which is an international organization of nutrition education professionals, represents the unique professional interests of nutrition educators in the U.S. and worldwide. Some of the key provisions addressed in the U.S. Congress Senate IMPACT legislation are supported by SNE.

The article presents a call for persons interested in presenting a paper at the 1998 meeting of the American Association for the History of Medicine (AAHM). The 1998 meeting of the AAHM will be held May 7 through 10, 1998, in Toronto, Ontario. Those interested in presenting a paper at this meeting are invited to submit an abstract, with seven copies of the original format. Any subject in the history of medicine is suitable for presentation, but the paper must represent original work not already published or in press. Presentations are limited to 20 minutes. Abstracts must be typed single-spaced on one sheet of paper and must not exceed 350 words in length. Abstracts should include not only a statement of a research question but also findings and conclusions to allow assessment by the committee.

This paper studies the dynamics of political mobilization of two transnational organizations – Assemblea Nacional Catalana and Marea Granate – formed by Spanish/Catalan migrants in different European cities. By conducting cross-organization and cross-city research, we analyze why and how migrants' transnational networks perceive themselves to be stronger in some cities and weaker in others. This paper demonstrates that there is no one-size-fits-all mechanism that explains perceived organizational strength in all contexts. The same urban context might provide different opportunities and constraints depending on organizational characteristics of migrant movements. Our study shows the ways that organizations' political agenda and their preferred action forms affect the perception of positionality as they navigate in different urban contexts with diverging national/local political settings, political cultures, civil society networks, and migration trajectories. The empirical data in this research stem from a content analysis of the events organized by the organizations and semi-structured in-depth interviews with organizations' representatives. The paper interrogates Ghana's institutional design efforts since the 1950s and argues that the longstanding political stability of the current Fourth Republic notwithstanding, a perennial feature of all regimes is the assumption that the state has the capacity and willingness to check itself. The Fourth Republic has two flaws. First, the three arms of government – executive, legislature and judiciary – must put each other in check, and society is only mainly invited to vote in four-year cycles. Society must trust the state to exhibit goodwill. The second flaw, which is the more problematic, is the apportioning of unfettered power of appointment and dismissal to the executive, which disproportionately overshadows the two other arms of government. Using extensive archival data, local media and secondary sources, the paper interrogates the power dynamics between the state and society over time. The conclusion is that neither a very strong state nor a disproportionately assertive society is good for political stability. A weak state and a dormant society are no better options either. Ghana's civil society has contributed to taming the power of a strong state, and that is the best promise for sustaining the current regime if it continues on this pathway responsibly.
