Interest of the study: mindfulness is a concept describing the focus on the present moment, intentionally and without judgement. This approach has only recently been applied to sport psychology. Objectives: the aim of the current review is to investigate which indicators and questionnaires are used in mindfulness research in sport, being specifically interested in mindfulness assessment. Methods: PRISMA guidelines for systematic reviews and the recommendations of the Cochrane Collaboration were used. Literature searches were conducted in Psychinfo, PubMed, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library. Results: From 2,203 records initially retrieved, 17 articles were included. The results show that mindfulness, anxiety and acceptance are the most commonly studied psychological indicators. The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire is the most frequently used mindfulness scale. We also discuss the possibility of using physiological indicators as complementary assessment. Conclusions: It is recommended to specifically adapt some questionnaires, such is already done with the Sport Anxiety Scale or the Mindfulness Inventory for Sport, for their use in sport psychology. - Abstract
At present there are reliable and valid measurement instruments for emotional intelligence (EI). However, most research has been conducted on adult English-speaking populations, so knowledge on the assessment of EI in childhood and adolescence in Spanish speaking countries is scarce. The present research aimed at analyzing EI measures in Spanish that are being used with children and adolescents. A systematic review of scientific literature was conducted. Ten databases were consulted, using combinations of the words emotional intelligence, childhood, adolescence, assessment and adaptation, in Spanish and in English. A total of 68 papers were included in the review. Results point to a great variety of measurement instruments used to assess EI at these stages. The adequacy of the measures regarding the parcipants' developmental stage in which the measures were used are discussed and some reflections are given in order to guide the design and choice of EI assessment tools for children and adolescents. Objective: The aim of this research is to identify and analyze the measures for the assessment of stressful life events created/adapted for its use in Spanish adult population, published in national and international literature, with a focus on psychometric properties and its association with health measures. Methods: A systematic review was carried out to identify all instruments identified through searches of MEDLINE; ProQuest Health and Medical Complete; ProQuest Psychology Journals; PsycARTICLES; PsycINFO; Psicodoc; OpenSIGLE from inception until 31 January 2016. Two independent researchers assessed the eligibility criteria of all articles, subtracted data and assessed its psychometric properties. Results: Twelve measures, which satisfied the inclusion criteria, were selected. The measures showed a large heterogeneity. Most of them did not include any information on its psychometric properties or needed to provide further data, since a few of them assessed its test-retest stability and/or internal structure. The questionnaires created or adapted by González de Rivera y Morena (1983), Sandín y Chorot (1987), Fernández y Mielgo (1992), Gracia y Flerrero (2004), and Motrico et al. (2013) showed significant associations with health variables. Discussion: Further research is needed to clarify the association of these instruments with mental and physical health measures, which would facilitate its clinical application. These results are very useful in order to select a measure for the assessment of stressful life events in clinical practice and research in Spain. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Quality of health services is measured by indicators that make it possible to find improvement opportunities, relevant clinical and non-clinical data, epidemiological information, and perceived quality of the provided service. Palliative care can be offered in different forms; home-based care is a novel path that enables patients to be cared for far from hospital interventionism; the quality indicators that assess this form of care vary from those that assess intramural services. Objective: To describe quality indicators for health care used to assess home-based palliative care services, according to the literature consulted. Method: Systematic review of the available scientific literature on quality indicators for home-based palliative care. The CASPe list was used to assess methodological quality. Results: 47 indicators for quality assessment of home-based palliative care services were found; outcome indicators had the greatest presence. Among the indicators, different aspects of palliative care were measured, such as symptom management, home visits by specialized personnel, chosen place of death, events related to patient safety, and medication availability. Conclusions: Measurements for the place of death and presence of symptoms, even with a determined pharmacological treatment, were the two most frequently found indicators. A measurement of medical and nursing personnel higher than the rest of the professionals that make up the palliative multidisciplinary team was observed, some specific indicators were found for patients with oncological pathologies

Aquatic therapy is one of the most common treatments for alleviating musculoskeletal pathologies. Its effectiveness has been evaluated with functional tests and questionnaires. Functional tests are used in aquatic therapy; however, in most cases, they are carried out in a non-aquatic environment and, as such, their results may differ from those of tests performed in an aquatic environment. A systematic review was performed to assess the accuracy of functional tests and patient-reported outcomes to assess aquatic therapy interventions. The authors conducted a literature search in July 2019. In total, 70,863 records were identified after duplicates removed. Of these, 14 records were included about functional tests assessment in aquatic environment and 725 records for questionnaires. The majority of the tests had also been assessed in a dry environment, allowing differences and similarities between the tests in the two environments to be observed. Different variables have been assessed in tests included in the present systematic review (cardiorespiratory, neuromuscular, kinematic, physiological, kinetic responses and rating of perceived exertion) which are included in the manuscript. Visual Analogue Scale, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index and the 12-item Short Form Health Survey were the assessments most commonly used by the different authors. Yes

Background/Objective: The Padua Inventory-Revised (PI-R) is a widely applied instrument to measure obsessive-compulsive symptoms in clinical and nonclinical samples. We conducted a reliability generalization meta-analysis on the PI-R. Method: An exhaustive literature search yielded 118 empirical studies that had applied the PI-R, from which 30 studies (33 samples) reported an original reliability estimate. Results: Assuming a random-effects model, the average internal consistency reliability (Cronbach's alpha) was .92 (95% CI [.91, .93]) for the total scores, and ranged from .74 to .89 for the subscales. Assuming mixed-effects models, moderator analyses showed a positive statistically significant association between the standard deviation of the total scores and the reliability coefficients (p = .002; R2 = .38). Conclusions: In terms of reliability, the PI-R scale was found to be adequate for both research and clinical purposes, although exhibiting large heterogeneity across studies. Future empirical studies using the PI-R should be required to provide at least one reliability estimate based on their own data. Malingering has been a strategy of human beings throughout history to obtain benefits in different aspects, and it is thus, a common and frequent phenomenon in the psychological assessment in the forensic field. Its difficult detection and its prevalence are based on the context, and the importance of evaluation lies in the fact it enjails judicial, financial and security consequences on society. Therefore, the present degree work proposes a systematic review of the literature and the research carried out in the last ten years (2008-2018) on malingering in the forensic context. The objective of this study is to identify the advances and theoretical gaps, as well as the methods, techniques and instruments of evaluation of this construct. As sources of data, it was investigated in endexed journals of the databases ProQuest, Web of Science, Science Direct, PsycArticles, Scielo, Redalyc and Psychology Database, taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria, as well as a protocol for the selection and categorization of sources. However, the results indicate that: a) the description provided by the diagnostic manuals is permeated by the criminological model; b) there is no consensus regarding the conceptualization of this construct; and, c) there is no precision regarding the evaluation methodology. Therefore, a definition is proposed and the motivation of a multi-method approach for the evaluation of such an important construct is justified. Estos resultados tienen una gran utilidad a la hora de seleccionar un instrumento de evaluación de eventos vitales estresantes en el ámbito clínico y de investigación en España Objective: The aim of this research is to identify and analyze the measures for the assessment of stressful life events created/adapted for its use in Spanish adult population, published in national and international literature, with a focus on psychometric properties and its association with health measures.
