There are many existing algorithms of image enhancement. For the uneven illumination image, the most popular algorithms are Histogram Equalization, Homomorphic filtering and Retinex. Experiments show that each algorithm has its flaws. A novel algorithm for uneven illumination image processing based on HIS color space and joint color space is proposed. Simulation results prove our algorithm effective and advanced.
